Definitions
- the present invention relates to a tile module for a building roofing, as well as a building roofing comprising such tile modules.
- the tiles are often made of terracotta, but also of concrete, or a synthetic material such as a resin.
- a tile is a construction element used in the building as a piece of building roofing, and is commonly referred to as a plain square tile.
- the elements whose shape allows a finishing of the roof, such as the ridge, the chimney contour, the borders, the half-tiles for a “crossed” installation, the ventilation ventilation tiles, the glass tiles to let in the light of the day in certain parts of the roof, are accessory tiles.
- accessory tiles cannot, by their shape and function, cover the roof on their own, unlike plain square tiles.
- battens fixed to the frame, arranged transversely to the slope of the roof, spaced regularly, each receiving a row of tiles.
- an interlocking tile has on one lateral side a groove, and on the other side a flange which fits into the groove formed on the lateral side of a laterally adjacent tile.
- an interlocking tile has an upper part and a lower rim opposite the upper part in a longitudinal direction of laying the tile on the roof.
- the tile comprises one or more ribs and on the underside of said tile, one or more complementary grooves are made at the lower edge.
- the rib (s) of a tile are configured to fit into a complementary groove (s) formed on the underside of a tile of the upper row, at a lower edge of the tile of the upper row and the or the complementary grooves of a tile are configured to receive one or more ribs formed on the top, in the upper part, of a tile of the lower row.
- a lateral interlocking of one tile on the other is thus produced on one row, and between two successive rows a longitudinal interlocking of the upper row on the lower row, in order to ensure complete sealing against wind and rain.
- the various interlocking elements provided on the periphery of the tile constitute a sealing system hidden after the tiles have been assembled with each other.
- the tiles meet different aesthetic criteria depending on the region. Through their shapes, colors and sizes, tiles help to form a style and identity for the homes of a region.
- each comprising on their visible surface (visible surface once the tiles have been assembled together) a flat part extending over approximately two thirds of the width of the tile, and on the remaining third a preferably convex part forming a lateral rim covering the lateral groove of the tile arranged laterally to said tile.
- the ribs in the upper part as well as the lower edges of the tiles then have a similar shape comprising a straight part followed by a domed part in order to correspond to the visible surface of the tile having the shape.
- each row is either laterally offset by half a tile to avoid alignment of the joints. in the direction of the slope of the roof, or aligned with the previous row if the shape of the tile allows the alignment of the joints in the direction of the slope of the roof.
- the object of the present invention is in particular to avoid the drawbacks of the prior art identified above.
- it provides a module of tiles for covering a building, according to claim 1, comprising at least a first tile and at least a second tile, the first tile and the second tile having an identical width and a length.
- first tile and second tile being provided to be juxtaposed to form the tile module, each tile having on each side a lateral sealing system, on an upper edge an upper sealing system, and under a lower edge a lower rim intended to cover the upper sealing system with one or more tiles arranged below, such that the tiles of the tile module each have a visible outer surface after assembly, the visible outer surface of the first tile having a different shape of the shape of the visible exterior surface of the second tile, and in that the upper sealing system and the lower edge of each The tile of the tile module, each have a shape of constant section in the transverse direction over the entire useful width of the tile.
- the tile module according to the invention has the advantage of allowing the creation of roof patterns from at least two tiles whose visible outer surfaces complement each other and are different while maintaining an identical periphery and sealing system. and compatible.
- a corrugation effect of the roof is obtained which has a greater width for each wave because this effect is achieved with at least two tiles instead of one.
- the shapes of the upper sealing system and of the lower edge of the tiles not following the shape of the visible outer surface and being constant, allow any lateral offset between two successive rows of tiles, by simply sliding a row relative to each other.
- this tile module it is possible for example to produce a roof having in the height of the lines formed by the aligned convex parts, which include any inclination or to achieve for example a checkerboard by alternating tiles from one row to another. Thanks to the invention, the possibilities of aesthetic rendering are increased tenfold. Indeed, it becomes possible with a different combination on the basis of the same mdoules of tiles, to create, for example, diagonal effects on the wall or on the roof, the angle of which can be modulated at will.
- the sealing system of each tile of the tile module has a constant cross section over the entire effective width of the tile and the lower edge of each tile of the tile module also has a constant cross section over any width. useful of the tile.
- the term “useful width of the tile” is understood to mean the width of the tile not covered with a laterally adjacent tile.
- the lower edge of the first tile of the tile module and of the second tile of the tile module is configured to cooperate with an upper sealing system of a tile of a lower row, the lower edge being configured to allow a lateral displacement in translation of the first tile and of the second tile in a transverse direction of the roof.
- the tile module according to the invention can also include one or more of the following characteristics, which can be combined with one another.
- each tile of the tile module is a plain square tile.
- the roof extends in a longitudinal direction, that is to say in the direction of the slope of the roof from the top of the roof at which the accessory ridge tiles are arranged towards the bottom of the roof.
- the roof extends in a transverse direction, that is to say in a direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, from an edge of the roof at the level of which accessory tiles of the edge type can be installed towards an opposite edge.
- the term “row” is understood to mean a succession of tile modules or tiles extending in the transverse direction of the roof.
- the roof is formed by several rows, arranged partially on top of each other in the longitudinal direction of the roof.
- the sealing system top of the first tile of the tile module and / or of the second tile of the tile module comprises at least two ribs, preferably parallel, extending at least partially over the width of the first tile of the tile module and / or of the second tile of the tile module, the two ribs being shaped to cooperate with complementary grooves arranged under a tile of an upper row.
- the ribs preferably parallel, can be arranged in a plane which is substantially parallel to the general plane in which the first tile and / or the second tile extends.
- a first rib arranged proximal to the visible outer surface, is offset laterally with respect to a second rib, arranged distally with respect to the visible outer surface, which allows multiple offsets of a row with respect to the previous one, and no longer require to align the joints in the height of the roof, or to offset them by a simple half width.
- the lower edge of the first tile of the tile module and / or of the second tile of the tile module comprises at least two grooves below extending at least partially over the width of the first tile. of the tile module and / or of the second tile of the tile module, the two grooves being shaped to cooperate with complementary ribs provided on a tile of a lower row.
- the ribs of the tiles of a lower row fit into the grooves of the tiles of an upper row, which makes it possible to obtain a good level of waterproofness to rain and better resistance to the wind.
- the visible exterior surface of each tile of the tile module has a single concave or convex or plane or convex or rounded or angular shape.
- the single shape can be produced by a single face or a plurality of facets.
- the exterior surface of a tile of the module may be a curved surface curved outwards.
- the exterior surface of a tile of the module is a convex or hollow surface having flat facets.
- the first tile of the tile module has a visible flat or concave outer surface, and at least one other tile having an outwardly curved or convex surface.
- a corrugation is produced on the roof reminiscent of that formed by the tiles comprising on a single visible outer surface, a flat or hollow part and a rounded part covering the following tile.
- the subject of the invention is also a roofing of a building comprising tiles, comprising a set of tile modules according to any one of claims 1 to 6.
- each tile module can include more than two tiles.
- a tile module defines a pattern formed by a plurality of visible exterior surfaces of several juxtaposed tiles.
- the roofing comprises at least one row comprising at least two tile modules.
- the cover comprises several rows.
- the figure 1 presents a molded tile 2 having on the top an outer surface remaining visible after assembly, having on the left a flat surface 4, and on the right an upwardly curved surface 6 occupying approximately 40% of the total surface.
- tile 2 in the transverse direction a general profile forming a wave, comprising a straight part then a curved part.
- the left side of the tile 2 has a lateral groove 8 extending over the entire height.
- the end of the curved surface 6 forms a flange intended to cover the lateral groove 8 of the following tile.
- the curved surface 6 is in this way juxtaposed with the flat surface 4 of the next tile.
- the tile 2 has on its upper edge a first transverse rib 10, then a second rib 12 disposed a little higher, on the edge of the tile.
- the first rib 10 stops before the lateral groove 8, the second rib 12 continues to the end of this tile.
- the first rib 10 and the second rib 12 at the top of the tile 2 follow the general wave-shaped contour given by the flat surface 4 and the curved surface 6.
- the tile 2 has on its lower edge 16 a rounded rim descending downwards, which comprises under the tile a first transverse groove 14 disposed outside the lateral groove 8, then a second transverse groove a little higher.
- transverse grooves 14 follow the general wave-shaped contour given by the flat surface 4 and the curved surface 6, so as to receive in an adjusted manner the two ribs 10, 12 of the tile 2 of the lower row. .
- a particular covering is obtained from one row of tiles to the other, having the curved surfaces 6 necessarily aligned along the height of the covering, in order to obtain an adjustment of the lower edges 16 of a row on the ribs 10, 12 of the row below, not allowing water to rise and limiting the passage of the wind.
- the two ribs 10, 12 constitute between them a transverse channel returning the water which could rise with the wind above the first rib, in the lateral grooves 8 of the sides.
- the figures 2 and 3 present a tile module comprising two tiles 20 of identical dimensions.
- a first tile 20 has a hollow outer surface 22 extending over the entire width, the second tile having a domed outer surface 24 also extending over its entire width, these surfaces being formed by longitudinal generatrices.
- the two tiles 20 have on the sides a sealing system similar to that shown figure 1 , comprising on the left side a lateral groove 8, and on the right side a flange intended to cover the lateral groove of the next tile.
- the upper sealing system comprises on the top two successive ribs 10, 12 separated by a channel, arranged in a plane parallel to the general plane of the tile 20, which extend rectilinearly over the width of the tile.
- the lower edge 16 of the tiles 20 has below the first transverse groove 14 as well as a second transverse groove 26, both of which extend in a rectilinear manner across the width of the tile.
- the hollow surface 22 of a tile 20 or the curved surface 24 of the other tile does not modify the upper and lower sealing systems of the tiles, which remain rectilinear over the entire width.
- the figure 4 shows a possible lateral movement F of a tile 20 of an upper row compared to those of the lower row.
- the upper and lower waterproofing systems being rectilinear over the entire width of the tile 20, with a constant section, it is in this way possible to adjust the lateral positioning of the tiles of the upper row in any way with respect to those of the lower row, as indicated by arrow F.
- the tiles 20 can be aligned, offset by half a tile, or positioned in any way.
- the figure 5 presents a module comprising three tiles 20 comprising a central tile having a flat outer surface 30, and two side tiles each arranged on one side, having a curved outer surface 24.
- the modules are thus assembled next to each other, which forms a row comprising a tile 20 with a flat surface 30, then two tiles with a curved surface 24. It is possible in the same way to compose modules with three different tiles, or realize any other form of combination.
- the figure 6 presents a cover comprising for each row a succession of modules of two tiles 20, each comprising a tile with a flat surface 30, then a tile with a curved surface 24. For the different rows, the identical tiles are aligned in the longitudinal direction.
- the figure 7 presents a roof comprising for each row a succession of modules of two tiles 20, each comprising a tile with a flat surface 30, then a tile with a convex surface 32 having flat facets comprising a raised central part and on each side a slope. Identical tiles are aligned in the longitudinal direction on the different rows.
- the figure 8 presents a roof comprising for each row a succession of modules of two tiles 20, each comprising a tile with a flat surface 30, then a tile with a hollow surface 34 having flat facets comprising a lowered central part and on each side a slope. Identical tiles are aligned in the longitudinal direction on the different rows.
- the figure 9 presents a cover comprising for each row a succession of modules similar to those presented figure 6 .
- the tiles 20 are shifted with respect to the lower row by a half-tile to the left, which gives a slightly diagonal direction of the succession of tiles with curved surface 24.
