Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a metal tile as well as a roof made with such tiles.
  • Such tiles are used to make a metal roof of a building. Unlike the metal roofing sheets used to make a metal roof, metal tiles have a high decorative and aesthetic function. In fact, the purpose of metallic tiles is to replace, by imitating them, traditional tiles.
  • traditional tile should be understood as designating any type of roofing element, earth, concrete, slate, stone or other, whatever the color, the exterior appearance, smooth or not. , and / or the geometric shape of the cover element.
  • the roofing elements usually used are relatively small in size and must be placed individually on the roof frame or support.
  • the installation is carried out by partially covering the elements, in order to ensure the waterproofing of the roof and the drainage of rainwater or snow, depending on the slope of the roof.
  • certain types of roofing elements, for example slate have more or less regular shapes and are of a unit weight of several kilos. These various characteristics imply that the implementation of such elements is long, difficult and requires the creation of a suitable frame or support.
  • metal tiles are in the form of panels, rectangular or square, with a color and / or an exterior covering imitating a given type of tile. Such a panel has dimensions such that it can replace several traditional tiles.
  • a metal tile therefore by nature in a durable and light material, we replace several traditional tiles, which allows a weight saving as well as time saving for the installation of the roof.
  • FR-A-2440 445 which describes such a metal tile, in the form of a rectangular plate provided over the width of three waves.
  • WO-A-2005/042871 also discloses a metal tile with repeating patterns, the latter possibly being cavities.
  • the relatively complex geometric shapes of the external face of such tiles imply a defined layout.
  • the installation of the roof should be started from one side of the roof support and from the lower part, depending on the slope of the roof.
  • gauge designates, for traditional tiles, the part of the tile which receives rainwater, when the tile is in place to form a roof. It should be noted that, in the case of a metal tile, the gauge designates the pattern of the tile according to the direction of the slope, while the term gauge corresponds, for a traditional tile, to the uncovered part of the tile. when the latter is in place to form a roof.
  • the invention more particularly intends to remedy by proposing a metal tile allowing easy installation to produce a roof, while avoiding poor water flow.
  • the invention relates to a metal tile comprising, on at least one face, patterns whose length to width ratio of each pattern is between 0.9 and 1.1, two opposite and parallel edges of the tile being identical and provided with at least one water flow channel, such that the length to width ratio of the tile is between 0.75 and 1.25 and such that each pattern (M) is defined by a concave area (8), a wave (6 or 7) and a channel (4), and such that the tile (1) is symmetrical along an axis parallel to its length (L).
  • edges are the edges parallel to the direction of the slope of the roof which define the slope of the latter, It suffices to respect the orientation of the tile so that the flow channels ensure an efficient evacuation of the roof. water. In other words, it is necessary to ensure the orientation of the tile in relation to the slope of the roof.
  • the invention also relates to a roof made with at least two tiles conforming to one of the preceding characteristics.
  • the figure 1 illustrates a metal tile 1, according to a first embodiment of the invention, before its use, namely its installation on a roof.
  • a tile 1 is, for example, made of steel, aluminum or a metal alloy.
  • Tile 1 is in the form of a panel, the length L of which is generally between 0.2 m and 6 m and its width L1 is generally between 0.5 m and 1.5 m, provided that the ratio R1 between the length L and the width L1 of tile 1 is between 0.75 and 1.25.
  • Tile 1 has two opposite edges 2, 3 parallel.
  • the edges 2, 3 define, when the tile 1 is in position on a roof support, the slope P of the roof.
  • the edges 2, 3 when one or the other of the edges 2, 3 is tangent to the edge of the roof, it is associated with an element defining an edge strip.
  • each edge 2, 3 we note the presence of at least one channel 4.
  • each edge 2, 3 has a single channel 4. It can be seen that as a variant the number of channels formed on at least one of the edges 2, 3 is greater than one.
  • the channels 4 are obtained by a configuration of the upper face 5 of the tile 1, this face 5 having reliefs or waves defining the channels 4.
  • the upper face 5 is the visible face of the tile 1 when the latter is in position on a roof support.
  • two positive waves 6, 7 are separated by a negative wave, relative to the main plane of face 5. De facto, this negative wave forms channel 4, bordered by waves 6, 7.
  • Tile 1 generally comprises between three and one hundred and thirty M patterns, depending on the dimensions commonly encountered with tiles 1.
  • tile 1 comprises forty-eight M patterns distributed over eight parallel rows.
  • the eight rows are arranged along the length L of the tile 1.
  • the patterns M are more particularly visible on the figure 3 .
  • a pattern M comprises a main concave area 8.
  • the concavity of zone 8 is oriented towards the outside of tile 1.
  • This zone 8 is bordered, along the width L1 of tile 1, by two channels 4.
  • these channels 4 are identical with each other and with the channels. 4 located on the edges of tile 1.
  • the channels of the patterns M are different from one another and / or from the channels 4.
  • the areas 8 of two neighboring M patterns have a channel 4 in common.
  • an M pattern is defined by a concave area 8, a wave 6 or 7 and a channel 4.
  • each of the units M constituting the tile 1 has a ratio Rm of its length LM to its width Lm of between 0.9 and 1.1.
  • each pattern is generally square in shape and tile 1 is symmetrical along an axis parallel to its length L.
  • tile 1 is also in a generally square shape.
  • it is of another form, provided that it meets the requirements of claim 1.
  • the installation of the tiles 1 on a support 9 constituting the roof is illustrated schematically on figure 2 .
  • the support 9 is formed by several wooden plates assembled to make an under roof.
  • the support 9 is fixed, in a manner known per se, on a frame 10.
  • To carry out the installation of the tiles we begin by positioning a tile 1 on the support 9, either on a right edge D or left G of the roof. T, the edges being defined relative to the slope P of the roof T or from any other location of the roof located between the edges D and G, for example in a central position.
  • the first tile 1 is always positioned from the low point of the roof T. Once the first tile 1 is in place, another tile 1 is placed, towards the other left edge G or right D of the roof T, always from the low point of the roof.
  • the channels 4 of a tile 1 rest on the channels 4 of another tile 1.
  • the area overlap may be greater.
  • the main areas 8 of the two 1 tiles overlap, see these are the overlapping M patterns.
  • tile 1 is placed so as to overlap, along the length L of tile 1, one of the tiles previously placed.
  • the overlap is at least 35 mm, i.e. the length of the end row of patterns M, taken along the length L of tile 1.
  • this second row is then continued, by placing the tiles 1 so that there is partial overlap according to the slope of the roof and in a direction perpendicular to this slope.
  • a roof is thus produced with a mutual, partial overlap of the tiles 1. It is not necessary to fix the tile at all points. In addition, no cutout of tile 1 is necessary to ensure the roof covering. Due to the symmetry in the patterns of the tile, by playing on the area of overlap between the tiles 1, the roof is placed in place, regardless of the layout, without cutting a tile. Thanks to the invention, rapid and easy assembly is ensured while avoiding any assembly error, which ensures the waterproofing of the roof.
