Definitions

  • the invention relates to the technical field of so-called sloping roofs made from tiles or slates arranged on a building frame. More particularly, the invention relates to a closure.
  • Plain square tiles and slates are elements arranged on the frame and assembled together to form a roof.
  • Plain square tiles can be made of terracotta, concrete or synthetic material, and slates can be made of natural slate or synthetic slate based on cement.
  • the roof comprises at least one side and preferably two sides covered with plain square tiles or slates. Each side is inclined at a determined angle.
  • the roof includes a ridge line in the upper part of the slope. This ridge line runs in the same direction as the ridge purlin of the roof structure of the building.
  • the ridge line is made up of specific ridge tiles compared to plain square tiles covering the roof section by their shape, their positioning on the roof and their function.
  • plain square tiles and slates The primary function of plain square tiles and slates is to form a layer impermeable to bad weather, and more particularly to the penetration of rainwater into the dwelling. This watertightness is obtained either by interlocking the plain square tiles on top of each other by baffles, or by a high rate of overlapping of the plain square tiles or slates on top of each other. In any case, the necessary sealing against rain also translates into airtightness.
  • the ridge tiles cover the ridge, the upper part of the roof corresponding to the ridge formed by the meeting between the two sides of the roof, for aesthetic purposes and for the purpose of watertightness.
  • the ridge tile seals off the upper junction line of two roof sections, and thus becomes a dividing line and draining rainwater.
  • the ridge tiles are curved, rounded, angular or hat-shaped tiles which are arranged astride the top of the two sides of the roof.
  • This piece arranged under the ridge tiles, is generally in the form of a very long profile with an inverted V section extending globally over the entire ridge line of the roof.
  • the closure is obtained by a flexible sheet, sometimes embossed transversely, which is unrolled along the ridge line and which is folded symmetrically on each roof section or by long rigid elements formed from a metal sheet extended on the longitudinal side edges by two flexible flaps, embossed, arranged on each side, these flaps being folded down symmetrically on each roof section.
  • the closure that hugs the surface of the roof gives sufficient water and air tightness.
  • the middle part of the enclosure is perforated.
  • the air that escapes becomes blocked under the line of ridges and it is difficult to raise these ridges to let the air pass without also letting the water from the precipitation pushed by the wind.
  • the required ventilation section is not controlled and often insufficient.
  • a known alternative consists in providing the ridges with protruding support points to lift them, but this modification leads to expensive production tools, and the manufacture of the ridges becomes more difficult.
  • the object of the invention is to remedy all or part of the aforementioned drawbacks and in particular to allow ventilation of the roof at the level of the ridge line while protecting against water ingress and respecting the general aesthetics of the roof. .
  • the subject of the invention is a closure configured to be partially integrated under a line of roof ridge tiles, the closure having the characteristics of claim 1.
  • the closure of the invention allows a watertight connection of the roof sections while improving the ventilation under the roof by the double ventilation operated directly under the ridge tiles thanks to at least one opening made on the central portion of the closure and to the base of the ridge tiles thanks to at least one ventilation opening fitted each side fin.
  • the closure is largely covered by the succession of ridge tiles forming the ridge line.
  • the first part of each fold of each side fin makes it possible to mimic the thickness of a plain square tile placed under the ridge. This configuration makes it possible to preserve the aesthetics of the roof up to the ridge line.
  • the closure comprises a first face intended to be covered by a ridge tile and a second opposite face intended to face the roof and the framework.
  • the closure is a part preferably made of metal, for reasons of manufacturing costs.
  • the closure according to the invention can be made of plastic.
  • the closure is in the form of an elongated profile along a longitudinal axis.
  • the closure generally has the shape of an inverted “V”.
  • the profile of the closure is symmetrical along a longitudinal axis X-X median.
  • the length of the closure is about 2 meters, depending on the embodiment and the size of the ridge line to be covered.
  • several closures are arranged on the ridge line, one after the other.
  • the closure has a first end and a second end.
  • the first end is straight in the direction of the length, as if it were cut clean in a plane perpendicular to its length.
  • the second end is asymmetrical with respect to the first end along a median transverse axis Y-Y.
  • the second end has an extension of each side fin over a determined length, each extension being shaped to cover and/or cooperate with the side fins of an adjacent closure, that is to say lined up side by side lengthwise.
  • the upper portion is intended to overlap the frame raising rail.
  • the upper portion is flat, preferably narrow, intended to be placed centered on the ridge line of the framework.
  • each face of the central portion is inclined.
  • each face of the central portion is inclined from the flat upper portion, at an angle that is neither flat nor straight, and preferably at an angle of between 15° and 60°.
  • each panel of the central portion comprises a plurality of openings distributed over the length of the closure.
  • the openings are preferably regularly distributed and regularly spaced.
  • each opening can have an identical or different shape.
  • each opening can be in a circular or ovoid shape or any other shape that suits the evacuation of air.
  • each opening can be equipped with a louvre, in order to prevent any water infiltration between two ridge tiles from falling directly into the openings.
  • the opening or openings are configured to ventilate the air remaining under the ridge tiles.
  • the openings contribute to the weakening of the closure, by a loss of rigidity, which makes the closure flexible at the level of the openings and in particular at the level of the inclined face accommodating said openings. This flexibility makes it possible to vary the spacing of the closure and the distance between the two fins by deformation.
  • the central portion comprises two steps, each step is positioned at one end of a side of the central portion.
  • Each step is configured to stop any rising water from precipitation that can infiltrate under the ridges and be pushed by the wind.
  • each fin is connected to a face of the central portion by one of the steps.
  • each fin extends in a plane substantially parallel to that of the roof.
  • each fin is shaped to cooperate with the base of a ridge tile.
  • the first part of each fold of each fin is generally perpendicular with respect to the inclined portion of the fin.
  • the inclination of the inclined portion is oriented towards the roof.
  • the first part of each fold of each fin is equipped with at least one ventilation opening and preferably a plurality of ventilation openings.
  • each ventilation opening comprises a louver oriented towards the roof, which makes it possible to prevent water infiltration through these openings and thus protect them from spraying rainwater.
  • the ventilation openings are advantageously oriented in a determined direction, so that precipitation does not infiltrate the ventilation openings.
  • the ventilation openings are preferably arranged over the entire length of the closure.
  • the ratio of the length of a ventilation opening relative to the length of a first fallback part is at least 50%.
  • the height of the ventilation openings is at least 4 mm and even more preferably between 4 mm and 10 mm.
  • the ventilation openings are embossed by cutting and/or by deforming the first part of the fold of each fin.
  • the second part of the fold constitutes a return towards the inside of the closure.
  • the second part of the recess is intended to cooperate with the surface of the roof and more particularly is intended to be arranged on the plain square tiles or flat slates constituting the roof.
  • the second part of the fold has a determined width so that the second part of the fold has a contact sufficient with the surface of the plain square tiles or slates constituting the roof, so as not to allow precipitation to penetrate.
  • the fold may comprise at least one compensation member positioned under the second part of the fold in order to compensate for the variations in thickness of the plain square tiles or slates of the roof.
  • the compensation member is configured to locally create contact with the plain square tile or the slate in the event of variation in the thickness of the roof.
  • the compensation member is a cord or a tab or an elongated piece optionally made from an elastically deformable material such as a foam or an elastomer cord.
  • the compensation member can be configured to secure the closure to the roof and acts as a seal.
  • the invention also relates to a roof assembly comprising at least one closure according to the invention and a ridge tile covering partially, preferably mainly, said closure.
  • the roof assembly comprises a plurality of closures one after the other along a longitudinal ridge line, the plurality of closures is covered by a plurality of ridge tiles.
  • the air admitted under the surface of the roof travels by convection to the top of the latter and emerges mainly through the at least one ventilation opening. Part of the air passes through the at least one opening of the central portion, which makes it possible to ventilate the interior of the ridge tiles.
  • the closures of the roof assembly are identical.
