Description

Domaine technique de l'inventionTechnical field of the invention

The invention relates to the technical field of so-called sloping roofs made from tiles or slates arranged on a building frame. More particularly, the invention relates to a closure.

Arrière-plan technologique de l'inventionTechnological background of the invention

The so-called "plain square" tiles and slates are elements arranged on the frame and assembled together to form a roof. Plain square tiles can be made of terracotta, concrete or synthetic material, and slates can be made of natural slate or synthetic slate based on cement.

The roof comprises at least one side and preferably two sides covered with plain square tiles or slates. Each side is inclined at a determined angle. The roof includes a ridge line in the upper part of the slope. This ridge line runs in the same direction as the ridge purlin of the roof structure of the building. Classically, the ridge line is made up of specific ridge tiles compared to plain square tiles covering the roof section by their shape, their positioning on the roof and their function.

The primary function of plain square tiles and slates is to form a layer impermeable to bad weather, and more particularly to the penetration of rainwater into the dwelling. This watertightness is obtained either by interlocking the plain square tiles on top of each other by baffles, or by a high rate of overlapping of the plain square tiles or slates on top of each other. In any case, the necessary sealing against rain also translates into airtightness.

Cet écran textile est couramment appelé « écran de sous-toiture ».It is also common to complete this waterproofing against precipitation with a textile screen placed a few centimeters under the layer formed by the tiles or slates. This textile screen is commonly called “under-roof screen”.

In order to avoid an increase in the humidity level of the volume of air located under the layer of tiles or slates and above the under-roof screen, as well as to avoid leaving a volume of air s noticeably warm between the tiles or slates and the screen under-roof when the roof is exposed to the sun, it is known to naturally ventilate this volume of air. To do this, fresh air is admitted through openings arranged in the lower part of the roof, and the heated air under the tiles or slates naturally escapes through other openings arranged in the upper part of the roof. , at the level of the ridge line and the ridge tiles.

The ridge tiles cover the ridge, the upper part of the roof corresponding to the ridge formed by the meeting between the two sides of the roof, for aesthetic purposes and for the purpose of watertightness. The ridge tile seals off the upper junction line of two roof sections, and thus becomes a dividing line and draining rainwater. The ridge tiles are curved, rounded, angular or hat-shaped tiles which are arranged astride the top of the two sides of the roof.

To make the connection between this ridge line and the roof sections or sections on which it rests, it is known to use a part called a closure. This piece, arranged under the ridge tiles, is generally in the form of a very long profile with an inverted V section extending globally over the entire ridge line of the roof. The closure is obtained by a flexible sheet, sometimes embossed transversely, which is unrolled along the ridge line and which is folded symmetrically on each roof section or by long rigid elements formed from a metal sheet extended on the longitudinal side edges by two flexible flaps, embossed, arranged on each side, these flaps being folded down symmetrically on each roof section. The closure that hugs the surface of the roof gives sufficient water and air tightness.

To allow the required ventilation, the middle part of the enclosure is perforated. However, the air that escapes becomes blocked under the line of ridges and it is difficult to raise these ridges to let the air pass without also letting the water from the precipitation pushed by the wind. As the elevation is left to the discretion of the installer, the required ventilation section is not controlled and often insufficient. A known alternative consists in providing the ridges with protruding support points to lift them, but this modification leads to expensive production tools, and the manufacture of the ridges becomes more difficult.

Finally, the embossed flaps protruding below the ridge line are unsightly. FR 2 935 009 and EP 3 176 344 describe two closures of the state of the art.

All of the factors as above are more sensitive when the elements used for roofing have a flat shape, such as slates, flat tiles and flat gauge tiles. The ridge tiles rest on the flat surface of the tiles according to a continuous and rectilinear generating line, and ventilation is difficult.

Objet de l'inventionObject of the invention

The object of the invention is to remedy all or part of the aforementioned drawbacks and in particular to allow ventilation of the roof at the level of the ridge line while protecting against water ingress and respecting the general aesthetics of the roof. .

To this end, the subject of the invention is a closure configured to be partially integrated under a line of roof ridge tiles, the closure having the characteristics of claim 1.

The closure of the invention allows a watertight connection of the roof sections while improving the ventilation under the roof by the double ventilation operated directly under the ridge tiles thanks to at least one opening made on the central portion of the closure and to the base of the ridge tiles thanks to at least one ventilation opening fitted each side fin. Advantageously, the closure is largely covered by the succession of ridge tiles forming the ridge line. Thus, the first part of each fold of each side fin makes it possible to mimic the thickness of a plain square tile placed under the ridge. This configuration makes it possible to preserve the aesthetics of the roof up to the ridge line.

According to one characteristic of the invention, the closure comprises a first face intended to be covered by a ridge tile and a second opposite face intended to face the roof and the framework.

According to one characteristic of the invention, the closure is a part preferably made of metal, for reasons of manufacturing costs. Alternatively, the closure according to the invention can be made of plastic.

According to one characteristic of the invention, the closure is in the form of an elongated profile along a longitudinal axis. Preferably, the closure generally has the shape of an inverted “V”.

Advantageously, the profile of the closure is symmetrical along a longitudinal axis X-X median.

Preferably, the length of the closure is about 2 meters, depending on the embodiment and the size of the ridge line to be covered. Advantageously, several closures are arranged on the ridge line, one after the other.

According to a feature of the invention, the closure has a first end and a second end.

According to a characteristic of the invention, the first end is straight in the direction of the length, as if it were cut clean in a plane perpendicular to its length.

Selon une caractéristique de l'invention, la deuxième extrémité est asymétrique par rapport à la première extrémité selon un axe transversal médian Y-Y.According to one characteristic of the invention, the second end is asymmetrical with respect to the first end along a median transverse axis Y-Y.

According to one characteristic of the invention, the second end has an extension of each side fin over a determined length, each extension being shaped to cover and/or cooperate with the side fins of an adjacent closure, that is to say lined up side by side lengthwise. This configuration makes it possible to guarantee impermeability to precipitation and a leaktight recovery at the level of two adjacent closures.

According to a feature of the invention, the upper portion is intended to overlap the frame raising rail.

According to one characteristic of the invention, the upper portion is flat, preferably narrow, intended to be placed centered on the ridge line of the framework.

Preferably, each face of the central portion is inclined from the flat upper portion, at an angle that is neither flat nor straight, and preferably at an angle of between 15° and 60°.

According to one characteristic of the invention, each panel of the central portion comprises a plurality of openings distributed over the length of the closure.

Advantageously, the opening or openings are configured to ventilate the air remaining under the ridge tiles. The openings contribute to the weakening of the closure, by a loss of rigidity, which makes the closure flexible at the level of the openings and in particular at the level of the inclined face accommodating said openings. This flexibility makes it possible to vary the spacing of the closure and the distance between the two fins by deformation.

Advantageously, the central portion comprises two steps, each step is positioned at one end of a side of the central portion. According to one characteristic of the invention, the ventilation openings are advantageously oriented in a determined direction, so that precipitation does not infiltrate the ventilation openings.

According to one characteristic of the invention, the ventilation openings are preferably arranged over the entire length of the closure. Advantageously, the ratio of the length of a ventilation opening relative to the length of a first fallback part is at least 50%.

Préférentiellement, la hauteur des ouïes de ventilation est d'au moins 4mm et encore plus préférentiellement compris entre 4mm et 10mm.Preferably, the height of the ventilation openings is at least 4 mm and even more preferably between 4 mm and 10 mm.

Advantageously, the ventilation openings are embossed by cutting and/or by deforming the first part of the fold of each fin.

According to a characteristic of the invention, the second part of the fold constitutes a return towards the inside of the closure.

According to the invention, the second part of the recess is intended to cooperate with the surface of the roof and more particularly is intended to be arranged on the plain square tiles or flat slates constituting the roof.

Advantageously, the compensation member is configured to locally create contact with the plain square tile or the slate in the event of variation in the thickness of the roof.

According to one characteristic of the invention, the compensation member is a cord or a tab or an elongated piece optionally made from an elastically deformable material such as a foam or an elastomer cord.

Preferably, the compensation member can be configured to secure the closure to the roof and acts as a seal.

Description détailléedetailed description

Cette configuration est illustrée en figure 4.The closure 10 according to the invention is configured to be positioned under at least one ridge tile of a line of ridge tiles of a roof. Advantageously, the ridge line of a roof is covered with a plurality of closures, preferably identical, aligned longitudinally along the ridge line. The cloisters thus aligned form a line of cloisters, covered by ridge tiles aligned one after the other longitudinally, along the ridge line. This configuration is illustrated in figure 4 .

In picture 3 , the closure 10 illustrated comprises a first face intended to be covered by a ridge tile 101 and a second opposite face intended to face the roof 103 and the framework.

For the rest of the description, only a closure 10 is described. Of course, this description can be applied to each of the closures 10 covering the ridge line.

As can be seen in figure 1 , the closure 10 according to the invention is formed from a single profiled piece comprising several portions 23, 11, 12. The closure 10 is in the form of an elongated profile along a longitudinal axis XX preferably having an overall shape of Inverted "V". In the example shown in figures 1 to 4 , the profile of the closure 10 is symmetrical along a median longitudinal axis XX.

The closure 10 comprises a first portion called the upper portion 23, generally planar as illustrated. The upper portion 23 of the closure 10 is intended to be topped with at least one ridge tile from a line of ridge tiles and to be directly in contact with said at least one ridge tile 101. The upper portion 23, as can be see in figure 2 , is like a chord on the arc of a circle formed by the cross section of the at least one ridge tile 101, that is to say the upper portion 23 represents a segment that has two ends, which if projected onto the ridge tile 101, form two distinct contact points on the cross section of the at least one ridge tile 101.

The closure 10 further comprises a central portion comprising two sections 11, each arranged on either side of the upper portion 23 preferably symmetrically with respect to the upper portion. As can be seen in figure 1 , each pan 11 is equipped with a plurality of openings 21 configured to ventilate the interior of the line of ridge tiles. The openings 21 of one side 11 can be arranged symmetrically to the openings of the other side 11 or staggered or without a precise arrangement. The openings 21 are through holes.

Each panel 11 of the central portion is inclined and extends from the flat part of the upper portion 23, at an angle that is neither flat nor straight and preferably at an angle of between 30° and 60°. The closure 10 further comprises a lower portion 12 comprising two lateral fins 24, projecting with respect to the central portion. Each lateral fin comprises a fold having a first part 25 extending in a secant plane to that in which the fin 24 extends and a second part 26 oriented towards the central portion and extending substantially parallel with respect to the inclined portion of the fin 24. The second part 26 of the fold constitutes a return towards the inside of the closure 10 and is intended to cooperate with the surface of the roof and more particularly is intended to be arranged on the tiles or flat slates of plain square constituting the roof 103.

In the example shown in figure 1 and 3 , the first part 25 of the fold comprises a plurality of ventilation openings 27 configured to ventilate at the base of the line of ridge tiles 101. The ventilation openings 27 are equipped with a louver oriented towards the roof, which makes it possible to prevent water seeping through these vents 27 and thus protect them from spraying rainwater.

In the example shown in figure 1 , the ventilation openings 27 are preferably arranged over the entire length of the closure 10, on the first part 25 of the fold of the fin 24.

As depicted in figure 1 , the closure 10 comprises a first end 10a in the direction of the length, this first end 10a is straight, as if it were cut clean in a plane perpendicular to its length. The closure 10 comprises a second end 10b in the length direction, asymmetrical with respect to the first end 10a along a median transverse axis YY. As illustrated in figure 1 and 4 , the second end 10b has an extension 28 of each lateral fin 24 over a determined length, each extension 28 being shaped to cover and/or cooperate with the lateral fins 24 of an adjacent closure 10, that is to say aligned side by side lengthwise.

Preferably, the ridge tile 101 covers part of the height of the closure 10, revealing at least the first part 25 of the fold of the fin 24 of the closure 10, as illustrated in figure 4 . Advantageously, only the first part 25 of the fold of each fin 24 is visible and not covered by the line of ridge tiles, as illustrated in figures 3 and 4

As illustrated in figure 2 , the air admitted under the surface of the roof, travels by convection to the top of the latter and emerges mainly through the at least one ventilation opening 27. Part of the air passes through the at least one opening 21 of the central portion 23, which makes it possible to ventilate the interior of the ridge tiles 101.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown in the appended figures. Modifications remain possible, in particular from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without thereby departing from the scope of protection of the invention, and as defined in the appended claims.
