Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a combination appliance with a cooktop and fume extraction device.
  • downdraft fans In kitchens, it is known to use so-called downdraft fans instead of extractor hoods, which are arranged above a hob, for example on the room wall or ceiling, in order to suck off fumes and vapors that arise during cooking.
  • a downdraft ventilation In the DE 10 2013 007 722 A1 such a downdraft ventilation is described, for example.
  • a cooking steam inlet opening located in the hob level is connected to a vacuum source via an exhaust air duct system.
  • the downdraft ventilation is provided as a separate device between two hobs or next to a hob.
  • a disadvantage of this downdraft ventilation is the large amount of space that is required due to the exhaust air duct system to be provided.
  • the distance between the inlet opening and the vacuum source is also large here, so that increased demands are placed on the vacuum source, which in particular can be a suction fan.
  • a hob with central suction of cooking vapors downwards In this hob, one or more recesses are made in the area around the geometric centroid.
  • Devices for extracting cooking vapors are provided below the hob.
  • the devices for extracting kitchen fumes are preferably radial fans that are attached to the underside of a hob housing and are sucked upwards via the air from cooking vapor extraction chambers located below.
  • a disadvantage of this arrangement is that the cut-out in the center of the surface is not close enough to all the cooking devices and can also be a hindrance during the cooking process.
  • an induction hob which has a heat management system.
  • the internal electronic components in the cooktop have an improved flow of air.
  • the Cooktop may include a sensor that scans the cooktop for items placed on it and operates a fan in a blower by feedback to the device.
  • a heat cooking device with a cooling device and a suction device for sucking off oil vapors or the like generated during cooking is known.
  • the suction device includes a fan which is arranged below the cooking insert.
  • the upper suction opening, via which air is sucked into the suction device, is formed in a cover plate offset to the rear of the cooking insert.
  • a disadvantage of these devices, which relate to heat management, is that reliable extraction of fumes and vapors cannot be guaranteed.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to create a combination appliance in which vapors and vapors can be extracted from the space above a hob in a simple and reliable manner with a preferably simple structure of the combination appliance.
  • the invention is based on the knowledge that this object can be achieved by the at least one cutout being made in a cover plate of the hob in a combination appliance and extending along at least one edge region of the hob.
  • the combination appliance according to the invention comprises a hob and an extractor hood.
  • these two components of the combination device are designed as an assembly unit, that is to say a structural unit.
  • This means that the two components of the combination device are attached directly or indirectly to each other and as an assembly unit, for example in a Worktop can be introduced.
  • the combination device thus represents an assembled or pre-assembled unit, or a pre-assembled unit.
  • the hob comprises a heating element and a cover plate.
  • the cover plate covers one heating element from above.
  • the size of the heating element, or its effective radius, determines the size of the cooking zone or hotplate in the hob on which pots or other cooking vessels can be placed for heating.
  • the heating element can be an induction module, for example. If the heating element is an induction module, it can consist of several heating units which together define a cooking zone. Heating units that are activated together in order to heat a container for the food to be cooked are also referred to as cooking zones.
  • the extractor device comprises at least one fan and preferably additionally an air duct for guiding the air out of the combination device after it has exited the fan.
  • At least one recess is made in the hob.
  • the recess is made in the top plate of the hob.
  • the hob it is possible for the hob to have, in addition to the cover plate, a housing in which the heating elements are accommodated.
  • the extractor device is arranged below the hob.
  • An extractor device is referred to as being arranged below the cooktop, in which at least part of the fan of the extractor device is located further down than the lowest point of the cooktop.
  • the extractor device is arranged below the top of the hob, that is to say below the cover plate.
  • the fan of the fume extraction device can be arranged, for example, between two heating elements of the cooktop or can be offset completely to the bottom of the heating elements.
  • Directional information such as above and below relates to the combination device in the assembled and mounted state, that is to say in the state in which it is placed, for example, in a horizontal worktop.
  • the air from the space above the hob and in particular vapors and vapors that arise during cooking are sucked off according to the invention via the at least one recess of the hob.
  • the recess in the hob is the intake opening of the combination device.
  • the opening through which air enters the interior of the combination device is referred to as the suction opening of the combination device. Since the recess in the hob, which is preferably in the plane of the top of the hob, in particular the top plate of the hob, represents the suction opening, it is not necessary to provide further line elements, such as channels or pipes, which extend upwards relative to the hob.
  • the structure of the combination device and its handling are thus simplified. In particular, pots or other cooking vessels can be moved essentially freely on the hob.
  • the suction opening represents a recess in the hob of the combination appliance, instead of providing the suction opening as part of a separate appliance, as is the case in the prior art.
  • the extractor device of the combination device has at least one fan.
  • the fan which can also be referred to as a fan or suction fan, preferably includes a fan housing, which is designed, for example, as a spiral housing or worm housing and is also referred to as a fan housing.
  • a fan wheel is accommodated in the fan housing and is driven by a motor which is also accommodated in the fan housing.
  • the fan housing has an air inlet opening through which the air that has been sucked in can reach the fan wheel.
  • the fan housing has an air outlet opening, via which air can be discharged radially into a discharge duct or directly from the combination device.
  • the air inlet opening is preferably in the area of the axis of the fan wheel.
  • the combination appliance is characterized in that at least one recess is made in the hob, which is in the edge area of the cover plate of the hob.
  • the edge area of the cover plate, in which at least one recess is provided can be, for example, the lateral edge areas of the generally rectangular hob. Alternatively or additionally, the edge area in which at least one recess is provided can also be the rear edge area of the hob.
  • the recess can have a round or square shape.
  • the cutout or cutouts represent oblong, rectangular openings. With this design of the cutout(s) as oblong slots, sufficient suction of vapors and vapors from the space above the cooktop can be ensured, since the cutout extends across the depth or width of the cooktop and thus be in the vicinity of cooking vessels placed on the cooking zone(s) formed by the heating element(s).
  • the cutout is made in the hob in such a way that it lies within the surface of the cover plate.
  • the recess can extend to the edge of the cover plate or be arranged in the cover plate at a distance from the edge.
  • a number of advantages can be achieved by providing a combination appliance according to the invention, in which a hob and an extractor device are integrated in one appliance, and at least one recess is also made in the hob, which is located in the edge area of the hob.
  • the hob and vapor extraction device can be installed as a unit in a worktop or other surface and, if necessary, removed.
  • the integration of the two components in a combination device reduces the overall height required, since the parts of the components can be provided in the combination device in an aligned manner with respect to one another.
  • the orientation of the components in particular the orientation of the blower to the at least one cutout in a combination device, is predetermined, thus simplifying assembly and installation.
  • the area of the hob can be adjacent to or between the cutouts form a continuous surface on which cooking vessels, such as pots and pans, can be moved freely.
  • the heating element of the hob can also be designed to be continuous, so that the entire area between the recesses can serve as a cooking zone in which several cooking zones can be flexibly formed.
  • the cover plate covers the heating element and extends beyond at least one edge of the heating element, and the at least one recess is made in the overhang of the cover plate formed in this way, adjacent to the heating element.
  • the overhang over the heating element can be formed at the back or the side edges of the cover plate. It would also be possible to provide the overhang on the front side of the cover plate. However, this would make the combination appliance more difficult to use, since the user would have to reach over the recess formed in the front edge of the cover plate in order to be able to access the cooking vessels on the hob. Since the at least one cutout in the edge area of the cover plate is or are made in a projection that protrudes beyond the heating element and is adjacent to the heating element, the area under the cutout is free of heating elements and the ventilation routing from the cutout to the fan is simplified. In addition, the surface of the hob in which the heating element is provided is not interrupted by a recess, which simplifies the construction of the combination appliance.

  • the air inlet opening 115 of the fan 110 can point downwards and the air can be sucked into the fan 110 from below.
  • an integrated extractor device which can also be referred to as a hood, is created in a hob, which can also be referred to as a hotplate.
  • a hob which can also be referred to as a hotplate.
  • the recesses are provided in the edge region of the hob, in particular in the form of two slots, one of which is located on each side of the hob, the center of the hob is free of openings.
  • a flexible induction module can be used as a heating element for the hob.
  • a heating element in which the cooking zone follows the cooking vessel when it is moved is referred to as a flexible induction module.
  • the control of the combination appliance can be designed according to the invention in such a way that suction is only applied where there is actually a pot (left/right).
  • Covers, which can also be called flaps, over the recesses, which can also be called suction openings, can be controlled in such a way that they open when a pot is standing next to them.
  • An advantage of the present invention is that there is no opening in the middle of the hob and the pots can therefore be moved as desired. At the same time, the provision of the recesses in the edge area and the arrangement of the extractor device in the combination device itself ensure simple and reliable extraction of air from the space above the hob.
