Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a combination appliance with a cooktop and fume extraction device.
  • downdraft fans In kitchens, it is known to use so-called downdraft fans instead of extractor hoods, which are arranged above a hob, for example on the room wall or ceiling, in order to suck off fumes and vapors that arise during cooking.
  • a downdraft ventilation In the DE 10 2013 007 722 A1 such a downdraft ventilation is described, for example.
  • a cooking steam inlet opening located in the hob level is connected to a vacuum source via an exhaust air duct system.
  • the downdraft ventilation is provided as a separate device between two hobs or next to a hob.
  • a disadvantage of this downdraft ventilation is the large amount of space that is required due to the exhaust air duct system to be provided.
  • the distance between the inlet opening and the vacuum source is also large here, so that increased demands are placed on the vacuum source, which in particular can be a suction fan.
  • a hob with central suction of cooking vapors downwards In this hob, one or more recesses are made in the area around the geometric centroid.
  • Devices for extracting cooking vapors are provided below the hob.
  • the devices for extracting kitchen fumes are preferably radial fans that are attached to the underside of a hob housing and are sucked upwards via the air from cooking vapor extraction chambers located below.
  • a disadvantage of this arrangement is that the cut-out in the center of the surface is not close enough to all the cooking devices and can also be a hindrance during the cooking process.
  • an induction hob which has a heat management system.
  • the internal electronic components in the cooktop have an improved flow of air.
  • the Cooktop may include a sensor that scans the cooktop for items placed on it and operates a fan in a blower by feedback to the device.
  • a heat cooking device with a cooling device and a suction device for sucking off oil vapors or the like generated during cooking is known.
  • the suction device includes a fan which is arranged below the cooking insert.
  • the upper suction opening, via which air is sucked into the suction device, is formed in a cover plate offset to the rear of the cooking insert.
  • a disadvantage of these devices, which relate to heat management, is that reliable extraction of fumes and vapors cannot be guaranteed.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to create a combination appliance in which vapors and vapors can be extracted from the space above a hob in a simple and reliable manner with a preferably simple structure of the combination appliance.
  • the invention is based on the knowledge that this object can be achieved by the at least one cutout being made in a cover plate of the hob in a combination appliance and extending along at least one edge region of the hob.
  • the combination appliance according to the invention comprises a hob and an extractor hood.
  • these two components of the combination device are designed as an assembly unit, that is to say a structural unit.
  • This means that the two components of the combination device are attached directly or indirectly to each other and as an assembly unit, for example in a Worktop can be introduced.
  • the combination device thus represents an assembled or pre-assembled unit, or a pre-assembled unit.
  • the hob comprises a heating element and a cover plate.
  • the cover plate covers one heating element from above.
  • the size of the heating element, or its effective radius, determines the size of the cooking zone or hotplate in the hob on which pots or other cooking vessels can be placed for heating.
  • the heating element can be an induction module, for example. If the heating element is an induction module, it can consist of several heating units which together define a cooking zone. Heating units that are activated together in order to heat a container for the food to be cooked are also referred to as cooking zones.
  • the extractor device comprises at least one fan and preferably additionally an air duct for guiding the air out of the combination device after it has exited the fan.
  • At least one recess is made in the hob.
  • the recess is made in the top plate of the hob.
  • the hob it is possible for the hob to have, in addition to the cover plate, a housing in which the heating elements are accommodated.
  • the extractor device is arranged below the hob.
  • An extractor device is referred to as being arranged below the cooktop, in which at least part of the fan of the extractor device is located further down than the lowest point of the cooktop.
  • the extractor device is arranged below the top of the hob, that is to say below the cover plate.
  • the fan of the fume extraction device can be arranged, for example, between two heating elements of the cooktop or can be offset completely to the bottom of the heating elements.
  • Directional information such as above and below relates to the combination device in the assembled and mounted state, that is to say in the state in which it is placed, for example, in a horizontal worktop.
  • the air from the space above the hob and in particular vapors and vapors that arise during cooking are sucked off according to the invention via the at least one recess of the hob.
  • the recess in the hob is the intake opening of the combination device.
  • the opening through which air enters the interior of the combination device is referred to as the suction opening of the combination device. Since the recess in the hob, which is preferably in the plane of the top of the hob, in particular the top plate of the hob, represents the suction opening, it is not necessary to provide further line elements, such as channels or pipes, which extend upwards relative to the hob.
  • the structure of the combination device and its handling are thus simplified. In particular, pots or other cooking vessels can be moved essentially freely on the hob.
  • the suction opening represents a recess in the hob of the combination appliance, instead of providing the suction opening as part of a separate appliance, as is the case in the prior art.
  • the extractor device of the combination device has at least one fan.
  • the fan which can also be referred to as a fan or suction fan, preferably includes a fan housing, which is designed, for example, as a spiral housing or worm housing and is also referred to as a fan housing.
  • a fan wheel is accommodated in the fan housing and is driven by a motor which is also accommodated in the fan housing.
  • the fan housing has an air inlet opening through which the air that has been sucked in can reach the fan wheel.
  • the fan housing has an air outlet opening, via which air can be discharged radially into a discharge duct or directly from the combination device.
  • the air inlet opening is preferably in the area of the axis of the fan wheel.
  • the combination appliance is characterized in that at least one recess is made in the hob, which is in the edge area of the cover plate of the hob.
  • the edge area of the cover plate, in which at least one recess is provided can be, for example, the lateral edge areas of the generally rectangular hob. Alternatively or additionally, the edge area in which at least one recess is provided can also be the rear edge area of the hob.
  • the recess can have a round or square shape.
  • the cutout or cutouts represent oblong, rectangular openings. With this design of the cutout(s) as oblong slots, sufficient suction of vapors and vapors from the space above the cooktop can be ensured, since the cutout extends across the depth or width of the cooktop and thus be in the vicinity of cooking vessels placed on the cooking zone(s) formed by the heating element(s).
  • the cutout is made in the hob in such a way that it lies within the surface of the cover plate.
  • the recess can extend to the edge of the cover plate or be arranged in the cover plate at a distance from the edge.
  • a number of advantages can be achieved by providing a combination appliance according to the invention, in which a hob and an extractor device are integrated in one appliance, and at least one recess is also made in the hob, which is located in the edge area of the hob.
  • the hob and vapor extraction device can be installed as a unit in a worktop or other surface and, if necessary, removed.
  • the integration of the two components in a combination device reduces the overall height required, since the parts of the components can be provided in the combination device in an aligned manner with respect to one another.
  • the orientation of the components in particular the orientation of the blower to the at least one cutout in a combination device, is predetermined, thus simplifying assembly and installation.
  • the area of the hob can be adjacent to or between the cutouts form a continuous surface on which cooking vessels, such as pots and pans, can be moved freely.
  • the heating element of the hob can also be designed to be continuous, so that the entire area between the recesses can serve as a cooking zone in which several cooking zones can be flexibly formed.
  • the cover plate covers the heating element and extends beyond at least one edge of the heating element, and the at least one recess is made in the overhang of the cover plate formed in this way, adjacent to the heating element.
  • the overhang over the heating element can be formed at the back or the side edges of the cover plate. It would also be possible to provide the overhang on the front side of the cover plate. However, this would make the combination appliance more difficult to use, since the user would have to reach over the recess formed in the front edge of the cover plate in order to be able to access the cooking vessels on the hob. Since the at least one cutout in the edge area of the cover plate is or are made in a projection that protrudes beyond the heating element and is adjacent to the heating element, the area under the cutout is free of heating elements and the ventilation routing from the cutout to the fan is simplified. In addition, the surface of the hob in which the heating element is provided is not interrupted by a recess, which simplifies the construction of the combination appliance.
  • the arrangement of the recess(es) adjacent to the heating element ensures reliable extraction of fumes and vapors, since these can be sucked into the recess(es) in the vicinity of their point of origin.

Description

The present invention relates to a combination appliance with a cooktop and fume extraction device.

In kitchens, it is known to use so-called downdraft fans instead of extractor hoods, which are arranged above a hob, for example on the room wall or ceiling, in order to suck off fumes and vapors that arise during cooking. In the DE 10 2013 007 722 A1 such a downdraft ventilation is described, for example. In this case, a cooking steam inlet opening located in the hob level is connected to a vacuum source via an exhaust air duct system. The downdraft ventilation is provided as a separate device between two hobs or next to a hob. A disadvantage of this downdraft ventilation is the large amount of space that is required due to the exhaust air duct system to be provided. In addition, the distance between the inlet opening and the vacuum source is also large here, so that increased demands are placed on the vacuum source, which in particular can be a suction fan.

Furthermore, from the WO 2012/146237 A1 a hob with central suction of cooking vapors downwards. In this hob, one or more recesses are made in the area around the geometric centroid. Devices for extracting cooking vapors are provided below the hob. The devices for extracting kitchen fumes are preferably radial fans that are attached to the underside of a hob housing and are sucked upwards via the air from cooking vapor extraction chambers located below.

A disadvantage of this arrangement is that the cut-out in the center of the surface is not close enough to all the cooking devices and can also be a hindrance during the cooking process.

In addition, from the U.S. 2010/0163549 A1 an induction hob is known which has a heat management system. In particular, the internal electronic components in the cooktop have an improved flow of air. The Cooktop may include a sensor that scans the cooktop for items placed on it and operates a fan in a blower by feedback to the device.

In addition, from the DE 37 41 721 A1 a heat cooking device with a cooling device and a suction device for sucking off oil vapors or the like generated during cooking is known. The suction device includes a fan which is arranged below the cooking insert. The upper suction opening, via which air is sucked into the suction device, is formed in a cover plate offset to the rear of the cooking insert.

A disadvantage of these devices, which relate to heat management, is that reliable extraction of fumes and vapors cannot be guaranteed.

The object of the present invention is therefore to create a combination appliance in which vapors and vapors can be extracted from the space above a hob in a simple and reliable manner with a preferably simple structure of the combination appliance.

The invention is based on the knowledge that this object can be achieved by the at least one cutout being made in a cover plate of the hob in a combination appliance and extending along at least one edge region of the hob.

According to the invention, the object is therefore achieved by a combination device with the features of claim 1.

The combination appliance according to the invention comprises a hob and an extractor hood. In particular, these two components of the combination device are designed as an assembly unit, that is to say a structural unit. This means that the two components of the combination device are attached directly or indirectly to each other and as an assembly unit, for example in a Worktop can be introduced. The combination device thus represents an assembled or pre-assembled unit, or a pre-assembled unit.

According to the invention, the hob comprises a heating element and a cover plate. The cover plate covers one heating element from above. The size of the heating element, or its effective radius, determines the size of the cooking zone or hotplate in the hob on which pots or other cooking vessels can be placed for heating. The heating element can be an induction module, for example. If the heating element is an induction module, it can consist of several heating units which together define a cooking zone. Heating units that are activated together in order to heat a container for the food to be cooked are also referred to as cooking zones.

According to the invention, the extractor device comprises at least one fan and preferably additionally an air duct for guiding the air out of the combination device after it has exited the fan.

According to the invention, at least one recess is made in the hob. The recess is made in the top plate of the hob. In addition, it is possible for the hob to have, in addition to the cover plate, a housing in which the heating elements are accommodated.

According to the invention, the extractor device is arranged below the hob. An extractor device is referred to as being arranged below the cooktop, in which at least part of the fan of the extractor device is located further down than the lowest point of the cooktop. In any case, however, the extractor device is arranged below the top of the hob, that is to say below the cover plate. The fan of the fume extraction device can be arranged, for example, between two heating elements of the cooktop or can be offset completely to the bottom of the heating elements.

Directional information such as above and below relates to the combination device in the assembled and mounted state, that is to say in the state in which it is placed, for example, in a horizontal worktop.

The air from the space above the hob and in particular vapors and vapors that arise during cooking are sucked off according to the invention via the at least one recess of the hob. The recess in the hob is the intake opening of the combination device. The opening through which air enters the interior of the combination device is referred to as the suction opening of the combination device. Since the recess in the hob, which is preferably in the plane of the top of the hob, in particular the top plate of the hob, represents the suction opening, it is not necessary to provide further line elements, such as channels or pipes, which extend upwards relative to the hob. The structure of the combination device and its handling are thus simplified. In particular, pots or other cooking vessels can be moved essentially freely on the hob. However, it is possible according to the invention for elements such as a filter unit or cover to be provided in the intake opening, which may protrude slightly beyond the top of the hob. In addition, the structure of the combination appliance is simplified in that the suction opening represents a recess in the hob of the combination appliance, instead of providing the suction opening as part of a separate appliance, as is the case in the prior art.

According to the invention, the extractor device of the combination device has at least one fan. The fan, which can also be referred to as a fan or suction fan, preferably includes a fan housing, which is designed, for example, as a spiral housing or worm housing and is also referred to as a fan housing. A fan wheel is accommodated in the fan housing and is driven by a motor which is also accommodated in the fan housing. The fan housing has an air inlet opening through which the air that has been sucked in can reach the fan wheel. Furthermore, the fan housing has an air outlet opening, via which air can be discharged radially into a discharge duct or directly from the combination device. In a fan that is a radial fan, the air inlet opening is preferably in the area of the axis of the fan wheel.

The combination appliance is characterized in that at least one recess is made in the hob, which is in the edge area of the cover plate of the hob.

The edge area of the cover plate, in which at least one recess is provided, can be, for example, the lateral edge areas of the generally rectangular hob. Alternatively or additionally, the edge area in which at least one recess is provided can also be the rear edge area of the hob.

According to the invention, the recess can have a round or square shape. Preferably, the cutout or cutouts represent oblong, rectangular openings.

According to the invention, the cutout is made in the hob in such a way that it lies within the surface of the cover plate. In this case, the recess can extend to the edge of the cover plate or be arranged in the cover plate at a distance from the edge.

A number of advantages can be achieved by providing a combination appliance according to the invention, in which a hob and an extractor device are integrated in one appliance, and at least one recess is also made in the hob, which is located in the edge area of the hob.

By integrating the extractor device with the hob in one device, installation is simplified. In particular, the hob and vapor extraction device can be installed as a unit in a worktop or other surface and, if necessary, removed. Furthermore, the integration of the two components in a combination device reduces the overall height required, since the parts of the components can be provided in the combination device in an aligned manner with respect to one another. In addition, the orientation of the components, in particular the orientation of the blower to the at least one cutout in a combination device, is predetermined, thus simplifying assembly and installation. Finally, since according to the invention the cutout(s) is/are formed in the hob in the edge area, the area of the hob can be adjacent to or between the cutouts form a continuous surface on which cooking vessels, such as pots and pans, can be moved freely. According to the invention, the heating element of the hob can also be designed to be continuous, so that the entire area between the recesses can serve as a cooking zone in which several cooking zones can be flexibly formed.

According to one embodiment, the cover plate covers the heating element and extends beyond at least one edge of the heating element, and the at least one recess is made in the overhang of the cover plate formed in this way, adjacent to the heating element.

The overhang over the heating element can be formed at the back or the side edges of the cover plate. In addition, the arrangement of the recess(es) adjacent to the heating element ensures reliable extraction of fumes and vapors, since these can be sucked into the recess(es) in the vicinity of their point of origin. Finally, in the overhang of the cover plate, in which no heating elements are provided, the shape of the recess can also be freely selected. For example, elongated slots can be made in the cover plate, the length of which extends in the depth direction of the cover plate or in the width direction of the cover plate. The length of the slots can be chosen so large that the longitudinal ends of the slots are at a small distance from the edge of the cover plate, that is, the slots end at a small distance from the edge of the cover plate and thus essentially over the entire depth or Extend width of the top plate.

According to the invention, the hob has a continuous heating element that extends over the surface of the cover plate and the at least one recess is made in the cover plate adjacent to the heating element. A continuous heating element is a heating element that forms a cooking zone that forms a continuous surface. The heating element consists of several heating units. The heating units of the heating element can be combined to form a cooking zone or cooking area depending on at least one cooking product container placed on the hob. In particular, the heating units of a heating element can be activated when it is recognized that a cooking product container is placed on them. The entire cooking zone can be used flexibly in the hob, in which the heating element thus forms a continuous cooking zone that is activated depending on the position of a cooking product container in the region of the cooking product container. Since, according to the invention, the recess for sucking in air is in the edge area of the hob and thus outside the surface of the heating element, the heating element is not interrupted and containers for cooking can thus also be placed in the middle of the surface of the hob and heated there. Such heating would not be possible with a recess provided in the center of the hob surface.

According to a preferred embodiment, two recesses are provided in the hob, which extend in the two lateral edge regions of the hob in the depth direction of the hob. The direction between the front of the hob and the back of the hob is referred to as the depth direction. The recesses preferably each represent an elongated gap. The embodiment in which the two recesses each extend in the lateral edge area of the hob in the depth direction has the advantage that, for example in the case of a hob with four cooking zones, which are configured as two front and two rear Cooking zones are configured, at least a part of one of the recesses runs along each cooking zone. Thus, a reliable extraction of fumes and vapors can be guaranteed. In addition, the central area of the cooktop has no recesses, so that a continuous heating element can also be used, for example.

The fan of the extractor device of the combination device can be arranged in different positions in the combination device according to the invention.

According to one embodiment, the at least one recess is offset horizontally with respect to the at least one fan. In this case, the fan can be arranged, for example, under the heating element or elements of the hob. In this embodiment, the fan can be arranged, for example, in the middle of the surface of the hob. It is also possible for the fume extraction device to include a plurality of fans, for example two or four fans. Two fans can then be distributed in the combination device and arranged, for example, in the middle of the width direction of the combination device under the heating element or elements as a front and a rear fan. If four fans are provided, they can be arranged, for example, as two rear fans and two front fans on the right and left of the center of the width direction of the combination device.

The embodiment in which the fan or fans is or are arranged offset horizontally with respect to the recess or recesses has the advantage that contaminants and in particular liquids are prevented from penetrating directly into the fan via the recess. In addition, a cover can be provided on the at least one recess, which covers at least part of the recess and thereby minimizes the entry of contaminants into the interior. In this embodiment, the air can be routed from the recess to the air inlet opening of the fan through the outer walls of the combination device and, for example, through the heating element or elements or housings of the heating elements. However, it is also possible, for example, to provide air guide elements in the combination device, which at least partially form an air duct running from the cutout to the air inlet opening of the fan. The air guiding elements can include, for example, filter holders for holding filter elements or collecting areas for collecting liquids.

According to a further embodiment, the fan of the fume extraction device is arranged below the recess in a vertical top view of the recess. Here, in particular, the air inlet opening of the fan is arranged under the recess. In this embodiment, too, one or more fans can be arranged under each of the recesses. In the case of elongated slits as recesses, two fans can be provided over the length of the slit, for example. In the embodiment in which the blower or fans are below the recess, the Air flow between the recess and the fan simplified. In this embodiment, a filter unit and/or a cover can be provided to protect the fan from contaminants and liquids entering via the recess.

The present invention is also not limited to a specific orientation with regard to the vertical orientation of the fan. The fan of the extractor device is preferably a radial fan. This fan has an air inlet opening which is offset axially with respect to the motor of the fan. The air is discharged from the radial fan via an air outlet opening in the radial direction.

According to one embodiment, the radial fan is arranged below the hob in the combination appliance in such a way that the air inlet opening of the fan is directed upwards. In this embodiment, the air inlet opening thus faces the hob. In this embodiment, an air path can be achieved between the recess and the air inlet opening, in which the air only has to be deflected slightly. In addition, with this orientation, the blower can be fastened to the bottom of a device housing of the combination device, thus simplifying the assembly of the combination device. In addition, it is also possible according to the invention to fasten the blower on the same side in which the air inlet opening is provided, in an area around the air inlet opening, on the hob, in particular on the underside of the hob and in particular an underside of a hob housing. In this embodiment, too, since the air inlet opening of the fan faces the hob, i.e. is directed upwards, particularly in an embodiment in which the air inlet opening is below the at least one recess, the assembly of the device can be further simplified because the fan, for example can be mounted under one or two heating elements lying adjacent to or on opposite sides of the recess.

According to a further embodiment, the radial fan is arranged below the hob in the combination appliance in such a way that the air inlet opening of the fan is directed downwards. In this embodiment, the radial fan can, for example, on the underside of the hob, for example on the underside of a housing or the heating elements. This embodiment has the advantage that contaminants and liquids cannot enter the housing via the air inlet opening.

According to the invention, several fans, in particular radial fans, can also be provided, whereby these can each be arranged in such a way that the air inlet openings of all fans are directed downwards, that the air inlet openings of all fans are directed upwards or that the air inlet openings of one or more fans upwards and the air inlet openings of the other fans are directed downwards.

According to the invention, the combination appliance has a position detection device for detecting the position of a cooking vessel on the hob. According to the invention, the position detection device is connected to the vapor extraction device. The position detection device can be integrated in the heating element. In particular, in the case of a heating element that represents an induction module, the position detection device can be integrated in the heating element. However, other position detection devices, such as optical position detection devices, can also be used according to the invention. According to the invention, a position detection device is provided in a combination device in which the heating element is a continuous heating element consisting of several adjacent heating units. In the case of an induction module, the position detection device can be formed, for example, by one or more signal windings, which is or are worked into the winding of the coil of the heating element, which is used to generate an alternating magnetic field. As a result, the modification or weakening of the alternating magnetic field can be used to identify whether a container for cooking is located on the heating element, ie on the cover plate above the heating element. Depending on the position of the cooking product container, the heating element(s) or heating units of the heating element located below the cooking product container can then be controlled.

Since the position detection device is also connected to the vapor extraction device according to the invention, the vapor extraction device can also Depending on the position of a food container are controlled. In one embodiment of the combination appliance, in which the cutouts are provided on the lateral edge regions and in which at least one fan is assigned to each cutout, i.e. air is sucked in through each cutout by at least one fan, a container for cooking is, for example, in the vicinity of the left cutout positioned, the corresponding fan or fans that are associated with this recess can be controlled. In this way, the extraction of air from the space above the hob can be limited to the area where vapors and fumes are actually generated. In this situation, the fan or fans associated with the right recess can either be switched off or run at a lower speed.

For this purpose, the position detection device can be connected to the controller for a motor of the fan. Additionally or alternatively, the position detection device can also be connected to the controller of at least one cover of the at least one recess.

A plate which covers the recess at least in certain areas can be used to cover the recess. If the cover completely covers the cutout, it can preferably be removed from the cutout when the extractor hood is in operation. Instead of completely removing the cover from the cutout, the cover can also be opened, twisted or shifted, for example, and in this way release a gap between the cover and the cutout, through which air can be sucked in. Because the position detection device is connected to the controller of such a cover, the cover that is closest to the cooking container can be opened when the position of the cooking container is detected. This further improves the extraction of air from the space above the hob. In addition, by providing a cover, the ingress of contaminants and liquids into the recess can be prevented at least temporarily.

According to the invention, the hob and the extractor device can be attached directly or indirectly to one another. With a direct attachment, for example, the side of the fan of the extractor device in which the Air inlet opening is provided to be attached to the hob, for example on the underside of a hob housing.

An indirect attachment of the hob and the extractor device can be implemented, for example, by an appliance housing. In this embodiment, the hob and the vapor extraction device are accommodated in a common appliance housing. In this case, the device housing can in particular have a trough shape. At the top, the device housing is closed off by the hob and in particular by the cover plate of the hob. There is also an air outlet in the device housing. The air outlet can be provided, for example, on the back of the device housing. Alternatively, however, it is also possible for the air outlet to be installed on one of the side walls of the device housing or in the bottom of the device housing. At least the extractor device of the combination device is preferably attached in the device housing. The hob can either be introduced into the device housing from above and, for example, rest with the cover plate on the upper edge of the walls of the device housing. Alternatively or additionally, however, the heating elements of the hob can also be fastened or held, for example, on the inside of the appliance housing.

Since the extractor device and the hob are connected to one another directly or indirectly in the combination device, both the assembly and the installation of the combination device are simplified. When assembling the relative position between the components of the vapor extraction device and the hob is already specified when providing a device housing. During assembly, in particular when being installed in a worktop, the components of the extractor device and the hob installed in the appliance housing or the extractor device and hob attached to one another can be installed in a worktop or another surface in one assembly step. If the cover plate is a component of the hob that is separate from the heating elements, it can optionally be placed on later.

According to a preferred embodiment, the hob and the vapor extraction device of the combination appliance have a common electrical connection mains connection on. This mains connection can be provided on the device housing, for example, and supply the electrical components of the extractor device and the hob with voltage. Furthermore, the components of the vapor extraction device and the cooktop can also be controlled by a common control unit. For example, the extractor device can be actuated depending on the operating state of the hob.

According to a preferred embodiment, an air guide element and/or a filter unit is provided between the at least one cutout and the vapor extraction device, in particular the at least one fan that is arranged in the combination device. In this way, on the one hand, targeted air guidance to the blower can be ensured. On the other hand, the ingress of contaminated air into the fan can be prevented and the operation of the fan can thus be ensured. The air guiding element can, for example, represent an air duct that is permanently installed in the combination device. In addition or as an alternative, a filter holder, on which a filter element is held, can also be used as an air guiding element. In addition, it is also possible for the air guiding element to serve at least in certain areas as a collection area or collection container for liquids. Finally, the walls of the device housing and the bottom of the device housing, as well as the underside of the hob, for example the underside of housings for the heating elements, can also be used for air guidance and thus act as an air guide element.

In figure 1 an embodiment of the combination device 1 is shown. The combination device comprises a hob 10 and an extractor device 11 from the in figure 1 only the fan 110 is indicated schematically. The extractor device 11 is arranged below the hob 10, so that the fan 110 is only shown in broken lines in the plan view. The hob 10 consists of a cover plate 103, which can represent a glass ceramic plate, for example, and in the embodiment shown, a continuous heating element 101, which is arranged below the cover plate 103 or is covered by the cover plate 103. The heating element 101 is preferably a continuous heating element 101 formed by a plurality of adjacent heating units 1010 . In the figure 1 only a few of the heating units 1010 are indicated. However, adjacent heating units 1010 are preferably distributed over the entire surface of the heating element 101 . The heating units 1010 can, for example, represent coils through which current flows and thus generate an alternating magnetic field. Food containers (not shown) placed on these heating units 1010 are heated by induction of eddy currents. The area in which the heating element 101 is provided under the cover plate 103 can also be referred to as the cooking zone 102 . The cooking zone 102 defines the area of the hob 10 in which a cooking vessel can be heated. If several heating units 1010 are provided, some of which are activated, then the area in which a cooking product is actually standing on the hob 10 and is being heated can also be referred to as the cooking zone. In this embodiment, there can therefore be a number of cooking zones in the cooking zone 102 .

The cover plate 103 has a width which is greater than the width of the heating element 101. As a result, 101 projections 105 are formed on the two sides of the heating element. Recesses 104 are made in the cover plate 103 in the projections 105 . The recesses 104, which are thus in the lateral edge regions of the cover plate 103, have a rectangular shape and extend in the depth direction of the hob 10, that is in the direction from the front to the back of the hob. The recesses 104 designed as elongated slots are adjacent to the heating element 101, that is to say offset horizontally thereto in the immediate vicinity.

In the embodiment after figure 1 the extractor device 11 has only one fan 110 which is arranged centrally. The internal structure of the combination apparatus 1 according to the first embodiment will be described later with reference to FIG figure 5 explained in more detail.

In figure 2 a first embodiment of the combination device 1 according to the invention is shown. This embodiment differs from the embodiment shown in FIG figure 1 merely by providing four blowers 110. The fans 110 are arranged as two front and two rear fans 110 . However, it is also possible that only two, for example the two rear, fans 110 are provided.

In figure 3 a second embodiment of the combination device 1 according to the invention is shown. This embodiment differs from the embodiment shown in FIG figure 1 merely in that two blowers 110 are provided, each associated with one of the recesses 104 . In particular, in the third embodiment, a blower 110 is located under each of the recesses 104. The blowers 110 are arranged here in the depth direction in the middle of the recess 104 under the recess 104. Also shown in the third embodiment is a cover 15 applied to each of the recesses 104 . The covers 15 can be designed to be removable. However, it is also within the scope of the invention for the cover 15 to be attached to the hob 10, in particular to the cover plate 103, such that it can be folded, rotated or displaced. Finally, it is also possible for the cover 15 to have dimensions that are smaller than the dimensions of the recess 104. For example, covers 15 that have a smaller width than the recess 104 can be used. As a result, a gap (not shown) can be formed on the side of the recess 104 that faces the heating element 101, through which gap air can be sucked into the combination device 1. Also in the embodiment after figure 1 and first embodiment, covers 15 may be provided for the recesses 14.

In figure 4 a third embodiment of the combination device 1 according to the invention is shown. This embodiment differs from the second embodiment only in that four fans 110 are provided, with two fans 110 each being assigned to one of the recesses 104 . In particular, in the third embodiment there are two blowers 110 under each of the recesses 104. The blowers 110 are distributed under the recess 104 in the depth direction.

Is used at one of the in Figures 1 to 4 shown embodiments, a cooking product placed on the cover plate 103, its position on the heating element 101 can preferably be detected by a position detection device (not shown). Because of the position, the heating units 1010 of the heating element 101 that are below the cooking vessel can be controlled. If this position is in the vicinity of one of the lateral edges of the heating element 101, the extractor device 11 can also be controlled accordingly, or the covers 15 can be adjusted accordingly. For example, in the first embodiment, upon detection of a cooking product 15 in the left edge area, a cover (in figure 1 not shown) of the left recess 104 are controlled and thereby opened.

In the first, second and third specific embodiments, one or more fans 110 can be activated in addition to the control of the cover 15 or as an alternative to this, which are located in the vicinity of the detected position of the cooking product container.

The invention is not limited to the embodiments shown. In particular, the recesses can also have shapes other than the rectangular shape shown. For example, several round recesses adjacent to one another can be provided. In addition, it is also possible that in addition to or as an alternative to the laterally arranged recesses shown, at least one recess is made in the rear edge region of the hob. The number and arrangement of the fan(s) is also not limited to the embodiments shown.

In figure 5 a schematic sectional view of an embodiment of the combination device 1 according to the invention is shown. The embodiment after figure 5 corresponds to the embodiment figure 1 . In addition to the in figure 1 shown embodiment, the combination device 1 has additional covers 15 on, which can close the recesses 104. The combination device 1 is placed in a worktop 2 . In this embodiment of the combination appliance 1, an appliance housing 14 is provided, in which the extractor device 11 and the hob 10 are accommodated. The fan 110 of the fume extraction device is mounted on the floor 140 of the device housing 14 . The fan 110 has a fan housing 113, in the top of which an air inlet opening 115 is provided. The air inlet opening 115 can be covered by a protective grille (not shown). A fan wheel 112 which is driven by a motor 111 is arranged in the fan housing 113 . The air is discharged from the fan housing 113 via an air outlet opening (not shown) from the fan housing 113 and, in the illustrated embodiment, is directed into an air outlet duct 17, via which the air can reach an air outlet opening (not shown) of the device housing 14 and thus out of the Combination device 1 can escape. In the illustrated embodiment, the air outlet duct 17 is formed between the bottom 140 of the device housing 14 and an air duct 16 located above it, through which air is guided from the recesses 14 to the air inlet opening 115 of the fan 110 . The air flow L in the combination device 1 is in figure 5 shown schematically by arrows. According to the invention, the bottom of the air duct 16 can also serve as a collection area 122 for liquids. The collection area 122 is in this case lower than the air inlet opening 115 of the fan housing 113 in order to prevent liquids from entering the fan 110 .

As an alternative to the embodiment shown, in which the hob 10 and the extractor device 11 are accommodated in an appliance housing 14, it is also possible according to the invention to design the combination appliance 1 without an appliance housing 14. In such an embodiment, for example, the top of the fan 110, i.e. the side in which the air inlet opening 115 is provided, can be attached to the underside of a cooktop housing (not shown) in the area that lies outside of the air inlet opening 115. The air duct 16 is in this case formed, for example, by a duct element.

Filter elements 120 are placed in the air duct 16 in the area of the recesses 104 . The upper part of the guide channel 16 therefore serves as a filter holder 121 of a filter unit 12 which comprises at least one filter element 120 . The recesses 104 are closed by covers 15 at the top. in the in figure 5 The position shown, the recesses 104 are open, in particular the covers 15 are folded up around their outer edge. A gap 150 is thus formed between the inner edge of the recess 104 and the cover 15 . The heating element 101 is arranged between the recesses 104 below the cover plate 103 of the hob.

According to the invention, it is also possible for the fan or fans 110 to be attached to the underside of the hob 10 , in particular to the underside of a housing of the heating element or elements 101 , instead of to the bottom 140 of the appliance housing 14 . In this embodiment, the air inlet opening 115 of the fan 110 can point downwards and the air can be sucked into the fan 110 from below.

With the present invention, an integrated extractor device, which can also be referred to as a hood, is created in a hob, which can also be referred to as a hotplate. Because according to the invention the recesses are provided in the edge region of the hob, in particular in the form of two slots, one of which is located on each side of the hob, the center of the hob is free of openings. As a result, the advantage can be achieved, inter alia, that a flexible induction module can be used as a heating element for the hob. A heating element in which the cooking zone follows the cooking vessel when it is moved is referred to as a flexible induction module. Since such a hob includes pot detection, the control of the combination appliance can be designed according to the invention in such a way that suction is only applied where there is actually a pot (left/right). Covers, which can also be called flaps, over the recesses, which can also be called suction openings, can be controlled in such a way that they open when a pot is standing next to them.

An advantage of the present invention is that there is no opening in the middle of the hob and the pots can therefore be moved as desired. At the same time, the provision of the recesses in the edge area and the arrangement of the extractor device in the combination device itself ensure simple and reliable extraction of air from the space above the hob.
