Definitions
- the invention relates to an air spring element with a working or spring chamber, which is bounded by two coaxially spaced and oppositely acting air spring piston, a distance between the piston bridging cylindrical-tubular jacket, which forms in the direction of the piston on both sides extending wall which about a portion of the piston surrounding the latter to form an annular gap or annular space, and two associated with the respective pistons rolling bellows made of elastomeric material, which are each attached on the one hand to the piston end and on the other hand to the wall and to form a rolling fold in the annular gap between the wall and the respective piston roll.
- Air spring elements As air springs for industrial or automotive applications, usually contain a lid as the upper connector, an elastomer bellows with embedded reinforcements consisting of individual layers of parallel strands, with two layers are usually embedded in a crossed arrangement in Elastomerbalg, and a lower Connecting part, which is designed depending on the type of bellows as a piston or as a lid.
- air spring elements are usually arranged between a sprung and an unsprung mass, that is, for example, between a body and a chassis of a vehicle.
- the inner rubber of the bellows ie the inner layer of the bellows, is usually made of an elastomer material with greater air impermeability and is intended to seal the bellows wall against the trapped, normally pressurized air.
- Rolling bellows are usually designed so that they form a cylindrical outer circumferential surface under internal pressure. During the intended spring operation in the axial direction of the air spring element, a part of the bellows rolls between the small diameter and the large diameter of the piston on the outer circumference of the piston.
- the bellows are usually fixed in each case with clamping or clamping rings on the lid and piston.
- Such a bellows reveals the DE 102010000167 A1
- the local ones Fig.1 and 3 show a corresponding hose rolling bellows in the two end positions of the axial spring action
- Fig.1 shows the minimum height at full deflection
- Figure 3 the maximum height at maximum rebound. It can be seen in the synopsis that the length of the bellows is much greater than would be required for the exclusive realization of the rolling process during normal operation.
- the outer circumferential surface of the bellows in the pressure-loaded state with a minimum height of the air spring element usually has approximately the length of the piston. This lateral surface is static with respect to the normal spring action and does not participate in rolling movements.
- connection elements are designed as pistons.
- Such air spring elements with coaxially spaced oppositely acting double piston are usually provided with a distance between the piston bridging cylindrical-tubular jacket, between the piston a rolling bellows made of elastomeric material is provided to form a double rolled fold in the annular gap between the tubular shell and rolls off the respective piston.
- Such air spring element with double piston discloses the DE 1 049 248 A ,
- the one-piece rolling bellows shown there forms a roll fold both above and below and is surrounded in its central region on its outside with a ring belt, so that a non-stretchable portion of the rolling bellows of considerable length arises.
- This provides a very soft, comfortable suspension.
- the length of the rolling bellows is much greater than would be required for the exclusive realization of the rolling process during normal operation.
- the DE 27 50 667 B1 discloses an air spring for motor vehicles, in which rigidly connected via a pull rod pistons of different diameters and one or more rolling bellows form the spring volume and the working space.
- the one or more rolling bellows are supported on the outside by a jacket.
- the conical shapes of the piston and shell are designed so that the smallest possible volume changes and a soft suspension behavior arise during unrolling.
- an embodiment with a plurality of roller bellows is not recognizable, but also here the length of the one-piece bellows is much larger than would be required for the rolling process.
- the rolling bellows made of elastomer materials used in air springs of all types are not absolutely gas-tight.
- a portion of the gas volume permanently escapes or diffuses under internal pressure.
- air springs are in operation connected to a compressed air source, so that this loss can always be compensated.
- tank valve There are also known applications in which the air springs are provided with a so-called tank valve. Here there is no permanent pressure supply, but only periodically a refilling depending on gas loss.
- the permeation is relatively high due to the length and thus large surface of the rolling bellows by design.
- the bellows surface is large and increases the permeation.
- One way to counteract this would be to increase the bellows wall thickness. Although this would reduce the permeation, but adversely affect the dynamic properties of the air spring element adversely.
- the JP S 599 35 36 A teaches a fluorine layer arranged on the side facing away from the pressure chamber, which is intended to increase the gas-tightness.
- a fluorine layer arranged on the side facing away from the pressure chamber, which is intended to increase the gas-tightness.
- the object was to eliminate the disadvantages present in the prior art and to provide an air spring element for high operating pressures, which uses gas as a working medium and even without permanent external pressure supply has a significantly reduced leakage rate.
- This object is achieved by the features of the main claim. Further advantageous embodiments are disclosed in the subclaims.
- the Rollbalginn the respective rolling bellows minus the required Einspanninn essentially correspond to the roll length to the roll or around the roll fold enlarged taxiway, the taxiway is composed of the sum of the respective wall and piston side Rollwegsanteile the rolling bellows.
- the actual interior / the internal volume of the working space is thus determined essentially by the length of the tubular shell and not by a long cylindrical extension of the Balgwandung a one-piece rolling bellows, which is not needed for the suspension travel. Since both pistons and the wall of the tubular jacket made of metal or plastic, at least of rigid materials with negligible permeation rate, the leakage rate of the air spring element is greatly reduced overall.
- rolling bellows are attached to the inside of the wall by a clamping or clamping ring. This simplifies in particular the assembly.
- the cylindrical-tubular jacket bridging the distance between the pistons consists of a plurality of concentrically arranged tubular wall parts and at least one of the respective piston associated rolling bellows is attached on the one hand to the piston end and on the other hand passed between the wall parts on the outside of the wall and fixed there.
- the tubular cylindrical shell consists of three concentric superimposed tubular wall parts, wherein both rolling bellows are pulled on the migration side to the outside.
- the attachment of the rolling bellows at the wall end is formed so that the cut surfaces of the Rollbalgenden lie outside the working space. In this way it is prevented that the fluid located in the pressure chamber penetrate into the threads of the reinforcement layer and can then penetrate in this way in the bellows material of the bellows wall / in the bellows.
- the other side of the attachment of the rolling bellows on the piston is not or less at risk in this regard, since there is the sealing bead.
- DVA film dynamic vulcanization elastomer-thermoplastic alloy
- a further advantageous embodiment is that the rolling bellows additionally have a layer of butyl rubber on the side facing away from the pressure chamber or the working or spring chamber side of the DVA film. This allows the leakage rate to continue to reduce.
- a further advantageous embodiment is that the rolling bellows are provided with substantially longitudinally in the rolling direction and substantially parallel to the axis of the air spring element embedded reinforcements.
- such training is known, for example by the DE 3643073 A1 .
- reinforcements is provided to avoid multiaxial stress states within the wall of the air spring.
- this design has particular advantages.
- a DVA film can indeed stretch, but only very bad compress.
- the parallel reinforcement the latter can then be arranged in the matrix composite in such a way that only tensile stresses / strains and no compressive stresses arise when the rolling bellows roll on the inner DVA film.
- the measures of reducing the length of the respective elastomeric rolling bellows, the replacement of the missing length by a tubular shell or its wall, the inner coating and the conducive adapted training of the strength members act in a surprising manner synergistically in such a way that a particular pronounced tightness and extremely low permeation rate is achieved.
- a further advantageous embodiment is that the rolling bellows are provided with several layers of embedded strength members. With such an arrangement, the strength of the respective Rollbalgwand claimed by the rolling fold can be increased.
- a further advantageous embodiment is that the multiple layers of embedded reinforcements intersect at acute angles.
- the angle at which the layers then intersect, as well as the elongation of the reinforcing member and the arrangement of the layers within the wall thickness of the bellows wall is to be selected according to the above statements, that the DVA foil arranged on the inner bellows wall is also affected by the then multiaxial stress state is not compressed.
- Fig. 1 shows in detail first, the structure of the bellows wall of a RollbalgMechs 1 of an air spring element according to the invention for a motor vehicle suspension.
- the Rollbalgsammlung 1 is not attached or clamped between the piston and wall here.
- a central part of the rolling bellows 1 is shown in its original production form, namely as a toroidal body or cylinder and without about the bead ring for attachment to the piston.
- This simplified representation helps to understand the structure of the DVA film.
- a layer of strength member 4 is embedded between a inner elastomer layer 2 of the rolling bellows 1 and its outer elastomer layer 3, a layer of strength member 4 is embedded.
- the reinforcement layer consists of threads or cords 5, which are arranged parallel to each other in the axial direction of the bellows.
- a DVA film 6 is provided, which causes a very low permeation rate of the bellows wall 1.
- the reinforcement layer 4 is exposed.
- FIG. 2 Such an inventive air spring element 7 is shown with two air spring piston, namely two coaxially spaced and oppositely acting air spring piston 8.9.
- the air spring element is clamped between a non-illustrated body of a car as a sprung mass and a suspension as unsprung mass.
- Both pistons 8, 9 are made of metal.
- a cylindrical-tubular jacket 10 which forms a wall 11 extending on both sides in the direction of the pistons 8, 9, which surrounds the latter over a partial region of the pistons to form an annular gap or annular space 12 ,
- this tubular jacket replaces a long cylindrical part of the rolling bellows wall which is usually present in air springs.
- Fig. 2 also the two associated with the respective piston rolling bellows 13, 14 made of elastomeric material, which are fastened in each case with its sealing bead 15 on the one hand on the piston end and on the other hand with a clamping ring 16 on the inside of the wall 11.
- the rolling bellows 13 and 14 form between the fasteners, the roll creases 17 and 18 with the respective sheet length 19 of the roll fold.
- the actual space / volume of the working and spring chamber 20 is thus essentially formed by the pistons 8 and 9, the rolling bellows 13, 14 and the cylindrical-tubular jacket 10.
- the respective rolling bellows minus the required clamping or mounting lengths under the clamping ring 16 and the bead ring 15 are formed so short that they essentially correspond to the roll length to the roll or folded roll 19 arched taxiway, the taxiway is made of the Sum of the respective wall and piston side Rollwegsanteile 21 and 22 of the rolling bellows 13 and 14 composed.
- the construction according to the invention has a smaller bellows surface and thus structurally reduces the permeation on the outer circumference.
- the smaller bellows surface is achieved in that the cylindrical tubular shell or the wall 10 replaces part of the usual cylindrical bellows length.
- the deformations of the bellows wall and thus the stress of the DVA film are minimized by the embodiments according to the invention.
- the unwinding during rebounding causes an increase in the circumferential length and thus an expansion of the DVA film in the circumferential direction.
- the length of the bellows wall does not change.
- the threads experience by the internal pressure a tensile load, which leads to a certain elongation depending on the thread construction, under no circumstances to a compression.
- Fig. 3 shows a further embodiment 23 of the air spring element according to the invention, in which the distance between the piston bridging cylindrical-tubular shell consists of three concentric superimposed tubular wall parts, namely from the central portion 10a and the two outer portions 10b and 10c.
- the conversion parts are plugged together in the form of a sleeve connection 10a / 10b and 10a / 10c, wherein in each case a gap for receiving the Rollbalgwand is obtained.
- the respective bellows associated with rolling bellows 13 and 14 are on the one hand on Piston end is fixed and on the other hand guided in the gap between the wall parts on the outside of the wall and fastened there, here by a clamping in the socket connection.
- the construction according to the invention results in a gas-filled spring element, which can be operated without external pressure supply as long as possible up to a predetermined limit, without having to refill gas.
- the gas spring element according to the invention does not have the so-called stick-slip effect, that is, there is no so-called "breakaway" or jerky start in a gas spring. Further advantages are low damping of the spring element, no abrasion on sliding seals and higher operating pressure by support in a cylindrical component / support bell.
- the air spring element according to the invention has even at high load cycles between min. and max. Position a very low leakage.
- the air spring element according to the invention is also able to perform larger strokes on curved paths.
- the air spring elements according to the invention can be used not only as air suspension in the automotive sector, but - possibly with expert adjustments - also in the industrial sector as well as in applications as compensators or air tension elements.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
- ein erfindungsgemäßes Luftfederelement
-
- In
