Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a container for the transport and storage of goods according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention relates to a display container for the presentation of goods.
  • Goods are usually delivered to the retailer in transport containers or boxes, where they are moved from the transport container to store shelves. Instead of taking these out of the transport containers and give them to retail shelves and present them to the customer, in recent years, for reasons of cost and space, it has become increasingly important to present the goods to the customer in entire groups or stacks of goods or even in the transport crates. Since a variety of goods are sold in bags, cardboard packaging, etc., which can be easily damaged during transport, the transport crates must protect the delivered goods as possible from all sides and completely against external force. Furthermore, these may only have a low weight and should be compactable in the empty state, to store this space saving or transport back. For this purpose, folding or folding plastic containers are usually used. However, these containers are only partially suitable for presenting goods for sale, since the side walls, which protect the goods during transport from all sides, also cover the goods.
  • a container in which the short side walls can pivot inwards, so that they are on a long Abut side wall, and then together with this towards the ground, in a substantially horizontal position, are hinged.
  • the long side wall has at its vertical edges stops, which form an outer stop for the short side walls in the unfolded position.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a container which is equally suitable for the transport and presentation of goods and which solves the problems described above in connection with the prior art in a simple manner.
  • the container according to the invention is suitable for the transport and storage of goods.
  • it may be a display container for the presentation of goods.
  • This container according to the invention comprises a bottom, a first side wall portion or a first (long) side wall which is hinged to the ground, and a second side wall portion or a second (short) side wall which does not touch the ground, but is hingedly connected to the first side wall portion and the first side wall, on.
  • the second side wall portion (the second side wall) can pivot laterally (about a vertical axis) toward the first side wall portion (the first side wall), and the first side wall portion (the first side wall). fold together with the second side wall portion (the second side wall) to the floor and away.
  • first side wall portion and the second side wall portion each have at least one angled, right-angled or L-shaped side edge or connecting portion
  • the two side wall portions are hinged together in that the angled side edge sections of the two side wall sections, at least in the first pivot position, abut one another flatly on the other side wall section and define a type of stop and also a predetermined, vertical orientation of the one side wall section with respect to the other side wall section.
  • the two side wall portions are connected to each other not only by their hinge connection, but also via an enlarged by the angled side edge portion contact surface pair.
  • the planar contact of the angled side edge portion of the one side wall portion on the other side wall portion defines a kind stop and also a predetermined (in particular vertical) alignment of the one side wall portion with respect to the other side wall portion. In this way it is achieved that the container despite a missing (long) side wall sufficient stability of the two (short) side walls over the one (long) side wall is ensured. Due to the increased surface area contact between the hingedly interconnected sidewall portions, the pivotable sidewalls are more resistant to bending and / or torsional moments.
  • the bottom can be substantially rectangular
  • the first side wall section can be folded about a horizontal or bottom-parallel folding axis, between a first, substantially vertically oriented folding position and a second folded inwardly, substantially horizontal folding position be foldable.
  • the second side wall portion may be pivotable about a vertical or bottom-perpendicular pivot axis between a first pivot position in which the two side wall portions form substantially a right angle to each other, and a second pivot position in which the second side wall portion to the first Sidewall portion is pivoted out.
  • the one or both angle profiles of the side edge portions of the two side wall portions are preferably also rectangular.
  • the first side wall portion may be a part of a side wall, in particular a long side wall or rear wall, or form the entire side wall.
  • the second side wall portion may be part of an adjacent side wall, in particular a short side wall, or may form the entire side wall.
  • a second (substantially identical configuration) side wall section can be provided on both sides of the first side wall section.
  • the first side wall portion and the two second side wall portions may form a circumferential U-shaped side wall of the container.
  • the two second side wall sections then form a kind of inwardly pivoting wing walls or doors. About the respective angle profile pairs in the corner edges and the free ends of the two second side walls still each have sufficient stability.
  • the first side wall portion and the second side wall portion each have the at least one angled side edge or connecting portion such that the angled side edge portions are interleaved or at least in the outwardly pivoted (first) pivot position in which the container is ready for use embrace each other and form one or more angled contact surface pairs.
  • the two side wall portions are connected to each other not only by their hinge connection, but also via a positive contact connection.
  • the side edges of the two side wall portions are not arranged in abutment, but have overlapping or encompassing angle profiles that lie flat on or into each other. In this way it is achieved that the container despite a lack of (long) side wall provides sufficient stability of the remaining walls.
  • the corner regions are reinforced and can thereby also withstand greater shock loads. Due to the stabilization over the angle profile pair also arise other requirements for the articulation, so that it can be made simpler, since they no longer alone must absorb the forces acting on the container shock or bending forces.
  • the pivot axis can be arranged, as seen from the container corner defined by the two angled side edge sections, offset inwardly on one of the two side wall sections. In this way, the necessary degree of freedom for the pivoting of the (L) angle profiles is made possible.
  • the pivot axis may extend through the free end of the L-shaped or rectangular side edge portion of the second side wall portion and extend inwardly offset in the region of the first side wall portion.
  • the first side wall may surround the second side wall.
  • the angled side edge portion (s) of the second sidewall portion in the first pivot position may be in planar engagement within the one or more angled side edge portions of the first sidewall portion.
  • the angled side edge sections in the area of the contact surfaces may have mutually complementary shapes, such as projections and recesses or ribs and grooves, which mesh at least in the first pivot position. Due to the form-fitting interlocking outer and inner contours of the angled side edge portions, the stability is further increased. In this way it can be ensured that the two side wall sections can not be moved vertically relative to each other. In addition, the shapes alone lead to the reinforcement of the respective angled edge portion, so that they can not break even at higher loads.
  • the second side wall portion may have on the floor facing edge one or more shapes which in the first pivot position cooperate with one or more shapes formed complementary to the one corresponding bottom edge portion of the floor, for example, to outwardly pivot the second side wall portion limit and / or achieve a releasable locking between the second side wall portion and the bottom. Due to the interaction of these bottom-side shapes, a stabilization of the second side wall section in the first pivot position is made possible. About locking lugs or other locking means can be achieved that the second side wall portion does not swing by itself or with smaller shocks inwards. In any case, these shapes prevent the second sidewall portion from being pivoted outwardly in addition to the L-profile in the vertical edge, e.g. B.
  • the shapes can also be designed so that they not only allow a positive connection to the side, but also in the vertical direction.
  • the shapes can be T-shaped, which engage in correspondingly undercut recesses of the other container element.
  • the angled side edge portion of the first and / or second side wall portion may have recesses which can pass through the shapes formed on the bottom edge portion, when the first side wall portion is folded with the located in the second pivot position second side wall portion to the bottom in the second folded position , In this way it is ensured that the first side wall together with the second side wall can be folded completely inward, and do not stand up on the shapes at the bottom edge portion.
  • the angled side edge portions of the second side wall portion in the second folded position may be within the bottom edge portion and the angled side edge portions of the first side wall portion are outside the bottom edge portion.
  • the bottom edge portion may include one or more recesses, preferably on the outside, for flush receipt of the angled side edge portions of the first side wall portion in the second folded position.
  • the play of the side wall sections can be minimized in the folded state. Furthermore, this constructive action also affects the overall height of the collapsed container.
  • the second side wall section may have on the other, opposite side edge section an inwardly, in particular also upwardly, open vertical groove which serves to receive a side wall insert.
  • a side wall insert In this way, the closed on three sides over the side wall portions container on the fourth side via a vertical sliding element, for. B. close a thin plastic plate or by a cardboard box or by a retractable sliding grid or the like.
  • the side wall insert additionally prevents the two second side wall sections from pivoting inward.
  • the groove itself or in the region of the groove locking means for releasably locking the side wall insert in one or more predetermined (height) positions.
  • a side wall insert can be accommodated and secured not only on the two grooves formed in the two second side wall inserts, but also in a groove in the ground.
  • Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a container 2, which is suitable for transport and storage, but in particular for the presentation of goods.
  • the container 2 is preferably made of plastic.
  • the container 2 has a substantially rectangular bottom 4, which is formed trough-shaped or recessed centrally or laterally has slightly raised edges.
  • the container 2 further has a long side wall or rear wall 6 (first side wall section) and two adjoining short side walls 8 and 10 (second side wall portions).
  • first side wall section first side wall section
  • second side wall portions On the second long side or front wall side, a vertically displaceable folding grille 12 is provided instead of a fixed side wall, which in the Fig. 1 is shown completely lowered.
  • the container 2 is very easy on the front wall side loading and unloaded, while the transport fence, the folding grille 12 can be pulled upwards and thus pulled apart. In the in the Fig. 1 shown position, the container 2 is also very good for the presentation of goods.
  • the rear wall 6 is pivotally connected to the bottom 4, while the two side walls 8 and 10 are pivotally connected to the rear wall 6.
  • the side walls 8 and 10 can be as in the Fig. 2 are each pivoted inwards (about a vertical pivot axis) to finally in the fully inwardly pivoted position (second pivot position) (see Fig. 3 ) completely and superimposed to the rear wall 6 to be pivoted.
  • the rear wall 6 together with the two swung-in side walls 8 and 10 are folded (to a horizontal folding axis) to the ground or inwards.
  • the Faltgitter 12 has two recesses or projections 16 to it from in the Fig. 1 To be able to pull upward position shown.
  • the side walls 8 and 10 are each connected via a hinge about a vertical axis A by about 90 ° pivotally connected to the rear wall 6. From the FIGS. 1 to 3 It can also be seen that both the rear wall 6 facing side edge portions 18 of the side walls 8 and 10 and the side walls 8 and 10 facing side edge portions 20 of the rear wall 6 are formed L-shaped or bent at right angles or a plurality of such vertically spaced from each other L-shaped Has sections that in the in the Fig. 1 shown completely pivoted position of the side walls 8 and 10 lie flat in one another. The L-shaped edge portion 20 of the rear wall 6 thus surrounds the respective L-shaped edge portion 18 of the side walls 8 and 10.
  • the vertical pivot axis A extends through the free end of the L-shaped edge portion 18 of the side wall 8 and 10 and by the rear wall 6 in a portion which is offset to the edge portion 20 of the rear wall 6 slightly inward or toward the center of the rear wall 6 to allow the pivoting of the L-shaped side edge portions of the side walls 8 and 10.
  • the side walls 8 and 10 are over a plurality of vertically distributed hinge portions 22, z. B. by means of detachable plug joints, connected to each other.
  • the L-shaped edge portion 18 of the side wall 8 and 10 also has on its outside a plurality of spaced apart in the vertical direction projections 24, which, when the side wall 8 and 10 is pivoted, in correspondingly formed in the side edge portions 20 of the rear wall 6 recesses 26th engage, so that the projections 24 complete the recesses 26 when the side wall 8 and 10 completely, ie is pivoted 90 ° to the rear wall 6.
  • the pivoting range of the side wall 8 and 10 is limited on the one hand by the interaction of the L-shaped edge portions 18 and 20 at a maximum of 90 °, on the other hand, however, by T-shaped on the corresponding bottom edge (bottom edge portion 32) formed and vertically projecting stops 28, which engage in corresponding T-shaped recesses 30 formed on the lower edge of the side wall 8 and 10, respectively.
  • the outer movement of the side wall 8 and 10 is limited by the interaction of the stops 28 and the recesses 30.
  • the two side walls 8 and 10 are received in the trough-shaped interior of the bottom 4 and the rear wall 6 surrounds the two opposite short bottom edge portions 32.
  • the bottom edge portion 32 For flush receiving the L-shaped edge portions 20 of the rear wall 6 are in the bottom edge portion 32 also has a recess 34 is provided, which is completed by the L-shaped edge portion 20 of the rear wall 6 in the folded position (see Fig. 4 ).
  • the two side walls 8 and 10 respectively on the folding edge 12 facing side edge inwardly open and down (to the bottom) open vertical grooves 36.
  • the folding grid 12 can be pulled vertically upwards along these grooves 36 and in the fully extended position, ie when the folding grid reaches the upper edge of the adjacent side walls 8 and 10, via latching means 48 (see FIG Fig. 10 ), as will be described later in detail.
  • the rear wall 6 has two to the wall center on both sides equally spaced and extending in the vertical direction depressions 38, which serve to receive the slightly protruding from the side wall inner grooves 36, when the side wall 8 and 10 inwardly to the rear wall. 6 is pivoted. Since the two side walls 8 and 10 are wider together than the rear wall 6, these inevitably overlap when they are pivoted to the rear wall 6.
  • the one in the Fig. 1 shown left recess 38 provided in the rear wall 6 for the groove 36 of the right side wall 8 when it is first pivoted inward
  • the container 2 according to the invention thus makes it possible to pivot the two side walls 8 and 10 without disadvantage in any order inwardly.
  • the two side walls 8 and 10 in turn on its outer side vertically extending recesses 40, which also serve to receive the groove 36 of the other side wall 8 and 10, which is pivoted second inward. This allows a space-saving folding or pivoting of the side walls 8 and 10, without the user would have to observe a predetermined swing sequence.
  • FIGS. 5 to 10 describe a second embodiment of the invention, which differs from the first embodiment only in individual aspects, and therefore, the entire description of the first embodiment with respect to the second embodiment is not intended to be repeated.
  • the Fig. 5 shows a perspective rear view of the container 2 ', which also can be seen here that the side wall 10 and 8 L-shaped edge portions 18' and the rear wall 6 L-shaped edge portions 20 'has.
