Definitions

  • the invention relates to a decorative and / or functional part for installation in a corner area or a niche, which is constructed in at least two parts and comprises a surface part and a profile part connected directly or indirectly to the surface part, the surface part having at least one flat outer side which is set up to be provided with at least one covering element, and wherein the profile part is a tile profile, is part of a decorative side or forms a decorative side and has a material section which protrudes from the flat outside of the surface part around the at least one covering element from the decorative side to blend out, the profile part being assigned to one side of the surface part.
  • the invention also relates to a corner area and a niche of a room, each with at least one such decorative and / or functional part.
  • the invention also relates to the use of a tile profile as a profile part of a decorative and / or functional part.
  • a decorative part is known, for example, from US 7 255 236 B1 .
  • a similar decorative part is also known from WO 2014/023621 A1 .
  • Decorative and / or functional parts are used in a variety of ways. For example, decorative and / or functional parts occur in the bathroom, where they can be used as a shower shelf in a shower. In addition to its function as a shelf, the aesthetic appearance is particularly important for the decorative and / or functional part used in the bathroom. As far as this aesthetic appearance is concerned, however, customer requirements are quite different and usually vary over a wide range. The result is a relatively large effort in production and storage, combined with additional costs. Often, customer requests cannot be met or can only be met inadequately.
  • One embodiment is based on the object of proposing a decorative and / or functional part of the type mentioned at the outset, by means of which different customer requests can be flexibly served in a cost-effective and technically simple manner.
  • the length of the side and / or the longitudinal extent of the surface part in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the side is greater than the longitudinal extent of the material section of the profile part, so that the surface part protrudes beyond the material section at at least one end with a longitudinal section.
  • the decorative and / or functional part is to be understood in particular as a part which has an aesthetic effect and / or a functional effect.
  • An aesthetic effect can be brought about by a special design, color or a special material.
  • the functional effect can be, for example, a function as a carrier, shelf, support or the like.
  • the decorative side is to be understood in particular to mean that this side has an aesthetic function, in particular a decorative function.
  • the decorative side when the decorative and / or functional part is installed, the decorative side lies in a visible area for a person and can form one or the visible side of the decorative and / or functional part.
  • the decorative side is part of a panel or forms a panel.
  • the one or more decorative side can be designed individually by using a profile part corresponding to the customer's request.
  • the surface part itself can be kept unchanged.
  • customer requirements with regard to the aesthetic design of the decorative side can be met over a wide range in a cost-effective and simple manner.
  • the multi-part nature of the decorative / functional part gives a high degree of flexibility for the design in terms of aesthetics, but also in terms of the function to be fulfilled.
  • the profile part is assigned to one side of the surface part, the length of the side and / or the longitudinal extension of the surface part in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the side being greater than the longitudinal extension of the material section of the profile part, so that the surface part has the material section at at least one end protruding along the long side with a length section, it is possible to install the functional part on walls, for example a corner area or a niche, in that one length section is inserted into a recess in the wall and / or is supported against it, while at the same time the decorative side, for example, free-standing to the outside can protrude into the field of vision.
  • the recess on the wall can, for example, be a joint, which are formed by two adjacent covering elements, such as tiles, on the wall.
  • the length section protruding laterally at at least one end of the profile part makes a significant contribution to realizing a stable and durable connection to a wall in a technically simple manner.
  • the flat part and the profile part prefferably be brought into a predetermined end position with respect to one another, in which the profile part with a base section is received in a receptacle, for example pushed or plugged into an insertion receptacle.
  • the surface part and the profile part are thereby guided to one another transversely to the insertion direction, so that assembly is facilitated in order to bring the surface part and the profile part into the desired end position with respect to one another.
  • the plug-in receptacle has at least two tabs arranged on the flat part and protruding from the flat outside or another flat, for example opposite outside of the flat part, between which the base section is inserted or inserted.
  • the plug-in receptacle is implemented in a technically simple manner.
  • the tabs engages over and / or encompasses an edge section of the base section.
  • the tabs together with the flat outside or the other flat outside of the flat part form a receptacle for an edge section of the base section. This is at least a measure was taken to secure the profile part in a technically simple manner against moving away from the flat outside or the other flat outside of the flat part when it is pushed into the predetermined end position within the plug-in receptacle. This also prevents the profile part from becoming detached from the flat outside or the other flat outside in the end position.
  • the tabs can be implemented in a technically simple manner if, according to an embodiment of the invention, they are connected to or molded onto the surface part. For this purpose, the tabs can be brought into the overlapping and / or encompassing position by reshaping, for example bending.
  • the base section is supported with an outer side against one of the flat outer sides of the flat part, in particular rests against one of the flat outside sides of the flat part. This results in a stable and durable connection between the profile part and the surface part.
  • the flat part and the profile part In order to connect the profile part and the flat part in the end position so that it is as durable and firm as possible, it is advisable for the flat part and the profile part to be glued to one another.
