Claims (8)

  1. Moon phase indicator mechanism, for a timepiece provided with a movement (3), comprising a dial (11), the moon phase indicator mechanism being arranged to be disposed on the movement (3) and comprising at least one moon disc (15) disposed on the dial (11), and at least one moon phase train (20) disposed underneath the dial and being arranged to be driven by the timepiece movement (3), the moon phase train (20) meshing with a moon phase wheel taking the form of a toothed ring (27) in order to move the moon disc (15) in rotation at the periphery of the dial (11) about an axis A arranged at the centre of the dial, by means of the moon phase train (20), the moon phase wheel carrying, at least indirectly and in a fixed manner, the moon disc (15) by means of an intermediate part (50), mounted on the toothed ring (27), the intermediate part (50) surrounding the dial (11) seen axially and being arranged to surround the movement (3) seen axially.
  2. Moon phase indicator mechanism according to claim 1, wherein the intermediate part (50) takes the form of a ring with a protruding peripheral rim on which the moon disc (15) is secured.
  3. Moon phase indicator mechanism according to claims 1 or 2, wherein the toothed ring (27) is provided with a toothing (270) arranged on the inner rim of the toothed ring (27) comprising one hundred and seventy-five teeth.
  4. Moon phase indicator mechanism according to claims 1 to 3, comprising a single moon disc (15) arranged to make one revolution of the dial (11) in one lunar cycle.
  5. Moon phase indicator mechanism according to claims 1 to 4, wherein the timepiece movement (3) further includes at least one hour wheel, the transmission ratio between the hour wheel and the moon phase wheel is equal to 0.0169316.
  6. Moon phase indicator mechanism according to claims 1 to 5, including a device for correcting the position of the moon disc (15) by acting on the moon phase train (20).
  7. Moon phase indicator mechanism device according to claim 6, wherein the correction device comprises a correction crown (2), at least one corrector wheel set integral with the moon phase train (20), and a friction system arranged to detach all or part of the moon phase train (20) from the movement (3) when the position of the moon disc (15) is corrected.
  8. Timepiece comprising a moon phase indicator mechanism according to claims 1 to 7.
