- Pharmaceutical containers for containing pharmaceuticals are generally closed, after filling, tightly and sterile by appropriate plugs, typically made of elastomeric materials, such as rubber. These caps are generally delivered to the user responsible for filling separately containers, being packaged in appropriate packaging devices.
- These ready-to-use plugs are generally packaged at ambient atmosphere in a primary bag having a good impermeability to air, typically a polyethylene (PE) or aluminum bag. The welding of the primary bag is done without evacuation.
- This primary bag can itself be inserted into a secondary bag, generally of the polyethylene (PE) type, or particularly of the polyethylene / polyamide / polyethylene (PE / PA / PE) tri-layer type, which is intended to be evacuated .
