Definitions
- the present invention relates to a covering panel for a wall. It finds an application in particular in the field of building and public works for laying on walls, both inside and outside, for purposes, for example, of insulation and / or ornament. .
- platelets we designate any part that can be, for example and in a nonlimiting manner, in terracotta, ceramic, concrete, stone, composite material or any other reconstituted product, configured to be arranged more or less spaced other pieces, in arrangements that can define lines, rows or any other pattern.
- the cladding panels known from the prior art are fixed to a wall by means of screws passing through holes formed between two adjacent plates.
- This type of fixing requires that the plates are spaced from each other sufficiently to allow the passage of screws configured to allow the stable and solid fixing of the panel to a wall.
- this fixing requires that the screw, and the hole formed in the panel to receive it, be covered, for example by means of a material forming a seal between the plates, after the panel has been fixed to a wall.
- This type of fixing therefore requires many manipulations and does not allow, among other things, the production of covering panels whose plates of the outer layer are spaced at a distance less than the diameter of a screw suitable for their fixing to the wall, nor the production of covering panels with the space between the plates of the inner layer would not be filled with a joint after fixing the panel to a wall.
- the object of the present invention is to resolve, among others, the shortcomings described above of the covering panels known from the prior art, by proposing a panel whose fixing is easy and stable, and whose relative arrangement of the plates. relative to each other is not constrained by the problems of fixing the panel to a wall.
- the fixing portion which extends from the inner layer thus makes it possible to fix the covering panel without forming an orifice in the inner and outer layers, and in particular without forming orifices between two adjacent plates. It is thus not necessary to arrange the different plates so that they are spaced from each other by a sufficient distance to allow passage of the fixing means. It is also not necessary that the space between the boards be, in part or completely, filled with a gasket material, after the panel has been fixed to the wall.
- the fixing device contributes to the rigidity and the flatness of the covering panel.
- the fact that the mounting portion of the fastener is embedded in the inner layer ensures a sturdy and solid mounting of the fastener in the inner layer, the part of the panel consisting of the inner and outer layers not being liable to collapse. unhook from the wall, regardless of the fixing device.
- the mounting portion of the fixing device comprising a rear face, configured to be directed towards the wall when the panel is fixed to said wall, and a front face opposite the rear face, the material constituting the internal layer is placed all around the mounting portion, and more particularly against its front and rear faces.
- the panel fixing device according to the present invention is surrounded, at its mounting portion, with the material forming an internal layer, and therefore does not compromise the strength of the panel.
- the fixing device comprises a fixing orifice formed in the fixing portion to receive said fixing means.
- the fixing of the panel according to the present invention is therefore carried out by passing a fixing means, for example and without limitation a screw, through an orifice formed in the fixing portion.
- a fixing means for example and without limitation a screw
- the fixing means is a self-drilling screw, which does not require the formation of an orifice in the fixing portion prior to the installation of the panel against the wall.
- the rear face of the inner layer comprises a notch configured to receive the fixing portion of the fixing device of a second panel so that the fixing portion of said second panel extends between the wall and the outer layer. of said panel when said panel is assembled to said second panel.
- the external appearance of the covering panels, after they have been fixed to the wall, is not modified by the presence of the fixing device, the fixing portion of the second panel being concealed by the part of the inner layer of the first panel forming a notch.
- the orifices formed in the fixing portion, before or after the fixing of the panel to the wall, are covered by the part of the internal layer of the second panel forming a notch, so that the risk that a fluid, such as water, seeping into the wall, is significantly reduced.
- the fixing device further comprises an assembly portion configured to assemble said panel with a second panel.
- an assembly portion configured to cooperate with a second panel further improves the strength of the fixing of the panel to the wall, the fixing not only being carried out by the fixing means cooperating with the fixing portion, but also by the cooperation of two adjacent cladding panels.
- the fixing portion comprises a recess formed between the mounting portion and the assembly portion to receive said fixing means.
- the end of the fixing means projecting from the fixing device after the panel has been fixed to the wall for example the head of the screw or of the point forming the fixing means, is housed in said recess, so that it does not protrude from the assembly and assembly portions.
- the cover panel has a first edge, the fastener extending along the first edge.
- the fixing device extends along at least two adjacent pads.
- the arrangement of the fixing device along a first edge of the covering panel, and in particular its arrangement along at least two adjacent plates, improves the strength and the stability of the fixing of the fixing device to the diaper. internal panel, thereby improving the strength and stability of the panel fixing to the wall.
- the assembly portions of the positioning and fixing devices can be coupled with one another by form cooperation.
- the assembly portion of one of the elements taken from the fixing device and the positioning device is of the male type, the assembly portion of the other of the elements being of the female type.
- the coupling, and therefore the strength of the attachment, of the first and second panels are further improved by the presence of male and female type elements.
- At least one of the plates extends beyond the assembly portion of the positioning device so as to cover the fixing portion of the fixing device with a second panel, when the panel is assembled with said second panel.
- the external appearance of the covering panels, after they have been fixed to the wall, is not modified by the presence of the fixing device, the fixing portion of the second panel being concealed by said at least one wafer extending beyond the assembly portion of the positioning device of the first panel.
- the openings formed in the fixing portion, before or after fixing the panel to the wall, are covered by said at least plate, so that the risk that a fluid, such as water, seeps into the wall, is significantly reduced.
- the covering panel comprises a third border extending transversely with respect to the first border, the panel comprising a second fixing device extending along the third border.
- the third border extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to the first border.
- first and second fasteners further improves the strength and stability of the fastening of the cladding panel to said wall.
- the covering panel can be assembled with other panels extending in one and / or the other of said vertical directions and / or horizontal from the wall.
- the presence of the first and second fixing devices makes it possible to cover, with a plurality of covering panels according to the present invention, a wall having dimensions substantially greater than those of each of the panels.
- the fixing device comprises a PVC element.
- PVC allows, among other things, a solid fixing of the panel, without compromising its lightness.
- the use of PVC makes it possible to limit the risks of degradation, and consequently of embrittlement, of the fixing device.
- the mounting portion of the fixing device comprises a fir tail profile embedded in the inner layer.
- the invention also relates to a facade comprising a plurality of panels according to the present invention, said panels being assembled to each other in order to form a decorative facing.
- the covering panel can be used to cover walls of all sizes.
- the invention also relates to a kit comprising a panel according to the present invention, the kit further comprising an installation device comprising an assembly portion configured to cooperate with the assembly portion of the positioning device.
- the presence of the installation device makes it possible to fix the first covering panel covering the wall, the following panels cooperating with the device (s) for fixing said first panel.
- the invention also relates to a shaper for the manufacture of a panel according to the present invention, the shaper comprising a mold having an internal housing for receiving the internal layer and the external layer, and an upper part forming a cover. closure to close the mold, the shaping device further comprising means for receiving the fixing device configured to hold said fixing device in position so that its fixing portion extends outside the interior housing of said mold when it is closed .
- the means for receiving the shaper include a receiving projection configured to be housed in the recess of the fixing portion.
- the presence of the projection makes it possible to facilitate the positioning of the fixing device, and, consequently, the manufacture of the covering panel.
- the figures 1 and 4 schematically show two examples of covering panels 10 according to the present invention, the panels 10 having a longitudinal direction L1, L2 and a transverse direction I.
- the transverse direction I extends from transverse manner, preferably substantially perpendicular, to the longitudinal direction L1, L2 .
- said panel comprises an outer layer 12 having a rear face and comprising a plurality of plates 14.
- the plates 14 are staggered. It would obviously be possible to design, without departing from the scope of the present invention, a covering panel 10 whose plates 14 would be aligned in rows and columns.

- the shaper 200 comprises a complementary part, which may consist, for example and in a nonlimiting manner and as shown in the figure. figure 6B , in a projection 201 formed on the inner face of the cover 204 and configured to allow the formation of the notch 61 in the fourth edge 24 of the cover panel 10.
- the method of manufacturing the panel 10 according to the present invention firstly comprises a step during which a plurality of plates 14 are placed in the interior housing of the mold 202 of the shaping device 200, and more particularly in the locations of the jig 206 .
- the method of manufacturing the panel 10 can comprise a step during which a layer of granular material, such as sand, is deposited between the plates 14 placed in the shaper 200; said granular material is thus disposed between the spacings of the plates 14, the layer of granular material having a thickness corresponding to the distance separating the rear face of the plates 14 and the upper end of the projections 208 of the template 206.
- a layer of granular material such as sand
- the method then comprises a step during which the positioning device 40 and the third positioning device are placed. fixing 50, respectively on the first and second receiving means 210, 214.
- the method also comprises a step during which the first fixing device 30 is placed on one of the edges 203 of the mold 200, so that only the mounting portion 32 of the first fixing device 30 is disposed on one. plates 14 placed in the shaping device 200. It is therefore understood that the edge 203 constitutes third receiving means for receiving the first fixing device 30 configured to hold said first fixing device 30 in position so that the fixing portion 32 s 'extends out of the interior housing of the mold 202 of the shaper 200.
- the material constituting the inner layer 16 is spread on the rear face of the plates 14, on the mounting portions 32, 52 of the first and second fixing devices 30, 50 and on the positioning device 40.
- the manufacturing process comprises a step during which said material, in the liquid state, is compressed. to form a homogeneous layer binding the platelets 14 of the outer layer 12.
- a covering panel 10 comprising only one of the first and second fixing devices 30, 50, or a covering panel 10 of which the first fixing device 30 would extend along the second edge 20.
- a covering panel 10 the portion of which assembly 36 of the first fixing device 30 would be of the female type and that of the positioning device 40 of the male type.
- the second fixing device 50 has a structure similar to that of the first fixing device 30; one could obviously design a second fixing device 50 comprising only mounting 52 and fixing 54 portions , but not having an assembly portion 56.
