  • the fuel rail has an accumulator tube for receiving pressurized fuel.
  • the accumulator tube has a forged tubular body with a longitudinal cavity.
  • the longitudinal cavity usually has a circular cross-section.
  • Uniformly integrally formed on the tubular body support-shaped injector and supports are formed. The supports serve to fix the accumulator tube to a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine.
  • the accumulator tube is forged from a blank.
  • the material used is in particular a stainless steel alloy of the type 1.4307 or 1.4301.
  • the supports are formed in alignment with the injector receptacles on the tubular body.
  • This embodiment enables a forging technology production of the pressure storage tube, the forging blank is process reliably forgeable including the material uniformly integrally formed on the tubular body Injektoritn and the supports.
  • the supports are executed on the forging blank in an axis with the injector receivers within the parting plane of the forging tool. After forging, there is a mechanical processing, in particular a machining of the forged component, including the production of the holes for the longitudinal cavity in the tubular body and the connection holes in the Injektoritn.
  • the supports are aligned with the Injektoritied to this provided below the tubular body.
  • Below the tubular body means with respect to the mounting position of the pressure accumulator tube on the cylinder head that the supports point from the tubular body in the direction of the cylinder head.
  • a support has a leg section extending from the tubular body and, at its cylinder head end, a flange section with a passage for passing through a fastening screw.
  • the flange portion is located at the free end of a support, so it is displaced close to the region of the connection to the cylinder head. This shortens the span length of the fixing screws used to fix the fuel distributor on the cylinder head.
  • the support has, in particular in its leg portion, a recess extending in its longitudinal direction.
  • the recess is machined in the support, in particular the recess is milled out in the support.
  • the recess forms a free space for mounting the fastening screws.
  • the recess is located in the inner region of the support and ends at the flange portion. Cylinder head side, the recess is bounded by a clamping surface of the flange. The clamping surface is arranged on the side facing away from the cylinder head of the flange. At her lies the screw head of a fastening screw.
  • An essential aspect of the invention is that the screwing takes place via the flange section close to the connection region or the area of fixing the supports to the cylinder head. For this comparatively short screws can be used.
  • the installation of the mounting surface down to the cylinder head also reduces the compliance of the mounting screws.
  • the flange portion has a support surface adapted to the outer contour of the cylinder head.
  • the support surface is made oblique. Due to the slope of the support surface is increased on the cylinder head and so large that the surface pressure remains within a permissible range, at least below a critical surface pressure.
  • Another essential aspect of the invention is that the screw axis, which extends in the longitudinal direction of a fastening screw, and the longitudinal axis of a support at an angle at an angle to each other.
  • a further advantageous aspect is that the longitudinal axis of the support intersects the central longitudinal axis of the tubular body.
  • the clamping surface is within an enveloping circle, which is drawn around the outer circumferential surface of the support.
  • the measured transverse to the longitudinal axis of the tubular body width of the support is smaller than the diameter of the tubular body measured transversely to the longitudinal axis of the tubular body.
  • the measures described above contribute to the compactness of the fuel distributor or its pressure storage tube.
  • the fatigue strength of the accumulator tube is increased.
  • the surface pressure in the connection region of the pressure accumulator tube to the cylinder head to an acceptable level.
  • the fuel distributor according to the invention reliably withstands deformations as a result of bending alternating stresses from operational, static and dynamic loads.
  • the fuel distributor is weight-optimized.
  • An advantageous and stress-optimized effect is when a support is arranged in each case between two injector receptacles in the longitudinal direction of the tubular body.
  • the overall functionality of the fuel distributor is further increased when integrally formed on the tubular body in one piece at least one, usually more coupling pieces for attachment of attachments.
  • the coupling pieces can serve, for example, for receiving sleeves and screw connection means, via which further system components, for example an intake module, can be mounted on the fuel distributor.
  • the fuel rail 1 belongs to the accumulator injection system of an internal combustion engine.
  • the pressure generation and the fuel injection are decoupled from each other in such storage injection systems.
  • a separate high-pressure pump continuously generates pressure. This pressure, which is built up independently of the injection sequence, is permanently available in the fuel distributor 1.
  • the fuel distributor 1 comprises a pressure accumulator tube 2 with a pump-side fuel inlet 3 and a plurality of injector ports 4, 5.
  • the statically compressed fuel is stored in the pressure accumulator tube 2 and distributed through the injector ports 4, 5 the injectors of a cylinder bank available.
  • the pressure accumulator tube 2 has a forged tubular body 6.
  • a longitudinal cavity 7 is introduced by deep drilling.
