Le lisseur présente sur une première extrémité de ses mâchoires deux surfaces chauffées planes identiques et venant pincer les cheveux. De plus, l'autre extrémité des mâchoires forme deux poignées faisant office de zone de préhension et permettant de passer de la position d'ouverture à celle de fermeture. Le passage se fait manuellement en pressant les deux poignées articulées de l'appareil l'une vers l'autre pour amener les surfaces de traitement au contact des cheveux. Le lissage d'une mèche de cheveux s'effectue en déplaçant l'appareil le long de cette mèche, de la racine vers la pointe selon une translation droite de l'appareil fermé.

Il présente une pince à lisser comportant deux plaques planes de lissage identiques et en regard l'une de l'autre et des orifices de sortie de vapeur. Le lisseur vapeur tel que décrit dans EP2591698 et illustré dans la présente demande est considéré en figure 1 comme l'art antérieur le plus proche et divulgue le préambule de la revendication 1. Cet appareil actuellement commercialisé donne toute satisfaction en termes de lissage et est capable de produire un débit de vapeur suffisant pour soigner hautement la fibre capillaire. Néanmoins, pour produire un excellent lissage et un débit de vapeur conséquent, cet appareil contient de nombreux éléments internes qui ont une configuration optimisée techniquement mais qui occupent un encombrement assez grand par rapport à une pince à lisser classique. En effet, la mâchoire qui produit de la vapeur contient une chambre de vaporisation. Ainsi les deux boitiers ou encore les deux coques recevant les plaques et la chambre de vaporisation présentent chacun un capot externe qui, en section transversale, a une largeur ou plus grande largeur identique. Les deux capots dessinent cependant une ligne externe asymétrique et relativement plane notamment au niveau de la fonction vapeur, c'est-à-dire au niveau des orifices de vapeur et du déflecteur en regard des orifices.
Ainsi, si l'utilisateur veut utiliser cet appareil pour former des boucles en entourant la mèche autour d'un capot ou des deux capots, il n'arrivera pas à former une boucle bien ronde ni à former une boucle bien régulière ni à glisser de façon fluide et régulière pour défaire la boucle une fois formée.

Comme on l'a vu, les surfaces de traitement interne 4, 5 sont planes, identiques, sont en regard l'une de l'autre en position fermée, et sont agencées dans leurs boitiers respectifs 6, 7 à côté et voisines desdits bords en aplomb 61, 71. Sur la figure 4 est représentée la droite l'aplomb, droite tangente aux bords 61 et 71 des boitiers ou capots en aplomb. Cette droite est orthogonale au plan de lissage Pl. Les courbes des contours li6, respectivement li7, des boitiers 6 et 7, forment un arc de cercle qui est substantiellement continu au niveau des bords 61 et 71 en aplomb et donc la valeur de l'arc de cercle est environ de 15mm.

Comme illustré en figures 2 et 4, la largeur l de chaque surface de traitement interne 4, 5 est comprise entre 40% et 60% de la plus grande largeur l1 du premier boitier 6, préférentiellement entre 40% et 50%, voire sensiblement égale à 45%.
Comme illustré en figure 4, voici un exemple non limitatif des dimensions de l'appareil selon l'invention :

  • l1 : plus grande largeur du premier boitier 6 = 45mm
  • l2 : plus grande largeur du deuxième boitier 7= 52mm

La présente invention permet ainsi de fournir un appareil de coiffure compact avec une fonction coiffure supplémentaire à celle du lissage et avec la capacité de former des boucles d'au moins deux tailles différentes, voire d'au moins trois tailles différentes. Pour ce faire, ladite fonction coiffure supplémentaire est embarquée sur le boitier le plus large des deux. L'invention réside dans la meilleure réduction de la largeur du boitier de mâchoire ne présentant que la fonction lissage sans que celle-ci n'entraîne de dysfonctionnement ni en termes de sécurité ni en termes d'efficacité de l'appareil de coiffure complet. Le déflecteur selon l'art antérieur illustré en figure 1 était très large, était plat et recouvrait toute la dimension de la mâchoire en regard. Le dimensionnement du déflecteur 21 de l'invention illustré en figure 4 a été judicieusement choisi par les inventeurs pour garder cette fonction : la dimension en largeur est diminuée autant que faire se peut de sorte qu'il recouvre juste les orifices de sortie de vapeur 31. De plus la forme de ce déflecteur est modifiée: il n'est plus plat comme illustré en figure 1, mais le contour interne du premier boitier 6 est incliné vers le haut pour représenter le déflecteur.
Comme illustré en figure 4, le deuxième boitier 7 comprend un peigne ou une brosse 32 orienté vers le premier boitier 6 et adjacent à la deuxième surface de traitement interne 5. Dans ce cas, le premier boitier 6 peut présenter une rainure 22 formée en son contour intérieur et agencée en position fermée sensiblement en face du peigne ou de la brosse 32 du deuxième boitier 7. De cette façon, le peigne sépare bien toute l'épaisseur de la mèche sans que la fonction peignage ne prenne trop d'espace.

In this case, the first box 6 may have a groove 22 formed in its inner contour and arranged in closed position substantially in front of the comb or the brush 32 of the second housing 7. In this way, the comb separates the entire thickness of the wick well without the combing function taking up too much space.

Comme illustré en figures 2 et 3, la première poignée 6' de la première mâchoire 2 et la deuxième poignée 7' de la deuxième mâchoire 3 ont chacune une largeur lp strictement inférieure à la plus grande largeur l1 du premier boitier 6, c'est -à-dire à la plus petite des largeurs sur les deux boitiers 6 et 7. La surface extérieure du premier boitier 6 et du deuxième boitier 7 est substantiellement lisse. Le coefficient de frottement a été mesuré via des mesures de la rugosité de la coque au niveau de la zone destinée à l'enroulement des boucles comme suit :

  1. a) Mesure du Ra sur la partie supérieure « plane » ou encore la partie tangentielle à l'horizontale de la coque 6 illustrée en figure 4 :

Une majeure partie du travail a été de définir au mieux un contour des boitiers le plus arrondi et le plus fluide possible, sans point d'inflexion et en fonction de l'encombrement des éléments intérieurs et des mesures de sécurité et d'efficacité fixées par l'appareil. On remarque qu'en coupe transversale, il n'y a aucune ligne plane visuellement détectable à l'œil nu. Au niveau du premier boitier, celui-ci présente des arcs de cercle sur les côtés plus petits que les arcs de cercle sur les côtés du deuxième boitier. Les rayons de courbure de chaque côté du premier boitier 6 sont sensiblement identiques. Ceci permet de former des boucles les plus rondes possibles. Ceci permet aussi d'éviter des angles sur l'appareil fragiles aux chocs. En vue de coupe, le contour extérieur du premier boitier 6 est à peu près une réduction du contour extérieur en section transversale du deuxième boitier 7 de rapport environ égal à 0,8.
Selon l'invention, l'appareil comporte un réservoir de fluide 83 et des moyens de vaporisation 80 en communication de fluide avec les moyens de sortie de vapeur 31 et un actionneur 85 destiné à commander les moyens de vaporisation 80. Plus particulièrement, les moyens de vaporisation 80 comprennent une pompe électrique 84 et ledit actionneur 85 est destiné à commander la pompe électrique 84. Ceci permet de commander l'approvisionnement de la chambre de vaporisation 81 indépendamment de la chauffe des surfaces de traitement ou de lissage 4, 5. L'utilisateur a le choix par cet actionneur 85. S'il veut faire des boucles avec ou sans vapeur, l'utilisateur intervient sur l'actionneur directement. La pompe électrique peut être une pompe péristaltique dont l'actionneur 85 commandera le moteur.

Les figures 6 et 6' illustrent un mode de réalisation alternatif de l'invention : l'appareil présente une configuration à deux pièces : une pince à lisser conforme à l'invention exposée ci-dessus et une base déportée. Cette configuration est décrite dans le brevet de la demanderesse EP2449910 . Ainsi, l'appareil 1 destiné à la mise en forme avec les cheveux comprenant une base 1000 comprenant un réservoir (principal) de fluide 83, une unité portable 100 comprenant des moyens de vaporisation 80 du fluide, des moyens de distribution de la vapeur 31 à destination des cheveux, un cordon 121 comportant au moins une canalisation destinée au passage de fluide et agencée entre le réservoir principal de fluide 83 et les moyens de vaporisation 80, l'unité portable 100 comprend au moins une première surface de traitement 4 destinée à venir en contact avec les cheveux et les moyens de vaporisation du fluide 80 sont exclusivement prévus dans l'unité portable 100. La base est dite « déportée » de l'unité portable, et posable sur un plan de travail. La base comporte un socle 1001 pour recevoir l'unité portable ou pièce à main 100 lorsqu'il n'est pas en usage, et comporte un couvercle 2030 pour introduire le fluide, le couvercle 2030 peut être totalement amovible pour remplacer des moyens de déminéralisation 2000 (cartouche) quand nécessaire. Une partie de la base peut être prévue transparente afin que l'utilisateur puisse visuellement être alerté que la résine échangeuse d'ions change de couleur car n'est plus opérante. Elle comporte des moyens de déminéralisation 2000 qui permettent de réduire la teneur en calcaire du fluide introduit dans la base. Ces moyens de déminéralisation 2000 sont agencés entre un réservoir intermédiaire qui reçoit le fluide « brut » et entre le réservoir 83 qui contient le fluide « épuré » à destination de l'appareil de coiffure 1.
Comme illustré en figure 6', la base 1000 comporte des moyens de déminéralisation 2000 et un réservoir de fluide 83, le fluide est amené par le cordon 121 comportant une canalisation de fluide 121' et des fils électriques 121". Les moyens d'acheminement du fluide depuis le réservoir de la base vers la chambre de vaporisation de l'unité portable 100 comprennent une pompe électrique 84, ici une pompe péristaltique dont le moteur 84' est commandé par l'actionneur 85 agencé ici sur la base 1000.
Alternativement l'appareil peut prendre une configuration illustrée en figure 2 comportant un unique appareil avec un réservoir de fluide intégré et un actionneur 85 de vaporisation embarqué.

Claims (14)

  1. Hair styling appliance (1) for curling and straightening hair, comprising:
    - a first and a second elongate jaw (2, 3) that are pivotable with respect to one another,
    - the first jaw (2) having a first housing (6) bearing a first flat internal treatment surface (4), and
    - the second jaw (3) having a second housing (7) bearing a second flat internal treatment surface (5),
    - the internal surfaces (4, 5) being intended to pinch a lock of hair,
    - at least one heating element (41, 51) intended to heat at least one internal treatment surface (4, 5),
    at least one of the first housing (6) or the second housing (7) being asymmetric with respect to the median plane (P1, P2) in longitudinal section of said first housing (6) or said second housing (7), respectively,
    - the second jaw (3) comprising means for outputting vapour (31) oriented towards the first housing (6) and adjacent to the second internal treatment surface (5),
    - the first housing (6) having a deflector (21) formed in its inner contour and arranged in an essentially closed position facing the means for outputting vapour (31) of the second housing (7),
    characterised in that:
    in cross-section, the line defined by the exterior contour of the first and second housings is a rounded curve that does not have any point of inflection, and in that the greatest width (l1) of the first housing (6) is lower than or equal to 90% of the greatest width (12) of the second housing (7).
  2. Appliance according to the preceding claim, wherein the greatest width l1 of the first housing (6) is between 75% and 85% of the greatest width 12 of the second housing (7), preferably equal to 80%.
  3. Appliance according to any of the preceding claims, wherein, in the closed position of the jaws (2, 3), the median plane (P1) in longitudinal section of the first housing (6) is parallel to and separate from the median plane (P2) in longitudinal section of the second housing (7).
  4. Appliance according to the preceding claim, wherein the distance between said two median planes (P1, P2) is between 5% and 20% of the value of the greatest width 12 of the second housing (7), preferably equal to 10%.
  5. Appliance according to any of the preceding claims, wherein in the closed position of the jaws (2, 3), one of the two longitudinal edges (61) of the first housing (6) is vertically aligned with the longitudinal edge (71) of the second housing (7) arranged on the same side of the second housing (7).
  6. Appliance according to the preceding claim, wherein the internal treatment surfaces (4, 5) are flat, identical and opposite one another in the closed position, and are arranged in their respective housings (6, 7) and adjacent to said vertically aligned edges (61, 71).
  7. Appliance according to one of the two preceding claims, wherein each of said two longitudinal edges (61, 71) is provided with at least one bar (62, 72) that protrudes towards the interior of the housing (6, 7).
  8. Appliance according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the width I of each internal treatment surface (4, 5) is between 40% and 60% of the greatest width 11 of the first housing (6).
  9. Appliance according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the second housing (7) comprises a comb or a brush (32) that is oriented towards the first housing (6) and adjacent to the second internal treatment surface (5).
  10. Appliance according to the preceding claim, wherein the first housing (6) has a groove (22) formed in its interior contour and arranged in a closed position essentially facing the comb or the brush (32) of the second housing (7).
  11. Appliance according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the first handle (6') of the first jaw (2) and the second handle (7') of the second jaw (3) each have a width (Ip) which is strictly lower than the greatest width (l1) of the first housing (6).
  12. Appliance according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the exterior surface of the first housing (6) and of the second housing (7) is essentially smooth.
  13. Appliance according to any of the preceding claims comprising a reservoir of fluid (83) and vaporising means (80) in fluid communication with the means for outputting vapour (31) and an actuator (85) designed to control the vaporising means (80).
  14. Appliance according to the preceding claim, wherein the vaporising means (80) comprise an electric pump (84) and wherein said actuator (85) is designed to control the electric pump (84).
