- A gripping and lifting device having at least two gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) for holding and placing an object (32) to be gripped and a lifting means (24) for actuating the at least one gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) and a safety interlock (36) for locking and holding the at least one gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) in a gripping position (34) and for unlocking the at least one gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) in order to permit it to take an opening position (31), said safety interlock (36) having a switching link (37) which is commutable by the lifting means (24) between an interlocking position and a release position, the at least one gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) taking the gripping position (34) when in a first switching state (74), which forms the interlocking position, and taking the opening position when in a second switching state (67), which forms the release position, characterised in that when the switching link (37) is in the first switching state (74), a self-retaining catch mechanism (41) is in action while the at least one gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) is transferred to a gripping position (34), which catch mechanism blocks an opening movement of the at least one gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) and in that the switching link (37) is motion-detached with respect to the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) when it is in the first switching state (74).
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the switching link (37), upon assuming the second switching state (67), releases the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) in order to transfer the at least one gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) to the opening position (31).
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) has at least one movable catch element (47) that may be controlled, in particular, by means of an actuating movement of the switching link (37) which is applied, when in the first switching state (74), on at least one fixed engagement element (48) of the self-retaining catch mechanism (41), and which, once the switching link (37) has been transferred to the second switching state (67), separates the at least one catch element (47) from the least one engagement element (48).
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) is provided on a support (17) accommodating the gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79), and in that preferably at least one fixed gripping tongs (79) and at least one movable gripping tongs (12) are arranged on the support (17) or in that at least two movable gripping tongs (12, 14) are provided on the support (17).
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in claim 4, characterised in that the gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) are arranged on the support (17) which has an outer tube (26) within which an inner tube (27) is guided for displacement and said inner tube (27) is connected to a support arm (21) of the at least one gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79), or in that said gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) are arranged on the support (17) which has an inner tube (27) on which an outer tube (26) is guided for displacement and said outer tube (26) is connected to the support arm (21) of the at least one gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79), and in that preferably the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) is in action between the inner and the outer tubes (27, 26) of the support (17).
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in claim 5, characterised in that a pivot axis (43) is provided on the inner tube (27) or on the outer tube (26) on which the switching link (37) of the safety interlock (36) and the at least one catch element (47) are respectively pivotally mounted, or in that a pivot axis accommodating the switching link (37) is pivotally mounted on the inner tube (27) or on the outer tube (26) and the at least one catch element (47) is pivotally mounted on at least one further pivot axis.
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in any one of claims 5 or 6, characterised in that the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) enables a telescoping movement of the inner tube (27) relative to the outer tube (26) or of the outer tube (26) relative to the inner tube (27) while blocking a plunging movement of the inner tube (27) into the outer tube (26) or of the outer tube (26) over the inner tube (27), when the switching link (37) is in its first switching state (74).
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in any one of claims 6 to 7, characterised in that the movable catch element (47) of the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) extends within the inner tube (27) and is associated with at least one fixed engagement element (48) disposed on the outer tube (26) .
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in any one of claims 3 to 8, characterised in that the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) is realised through a pair of toothed segments having, in particular, sawtooth-like toothed segments (61, 62), or in that the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) is realised by the catch element (47) getting wedged in the engagement element (48) wherein it is guided, and in that preferably the movable catch element (47) has a pivoted lever (59) that is mounted on the pivot axis (43) and is provided, on its free end, with a toothed segment (61) that is applied to a complementary toothed segment (62) provided on the fixed engagement element (48).
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in any one of claims 5 to 9, characterised in that the at least one fixed engagement element (48) is preferably arranged on the outer tube (26) or on the inner tube (27) in such a manner as to be replaceable, in particular to be insertable into the outer tube (26) from the outside.
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in any one of claims 3 to 10, characterised in that the movable catch element (47) which is mounted on the pivot axis (43) may be transferred, when the at least one gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) is lifted, either automatically or by means of an energy storing member, to an interlocking position (55) relative to the fixed engagement element (48), and in that preferably a gripping element (64) is provided on the movable catch element (47) which is applied to the inner tube (27) and/or the outer tube (26) when the catch element (47) is in its release position (48) and blocks any relative movement of travel between the inner and the outer tubes (26, 27), in particular when the gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) are lifted.
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in any one of claims 3 to 11, characterised in that the movable catch element (47) comprises an L-shaped contour, with a short leg being realised as a switching lever (56) which is essentially arranged at a right angle relative to the long pivoted lever (59), and in that the centre of mass (57) is provided in the corner area between the switching lever (56) and the pivoted lever (59), and in that preferably the movable catch element (47) is guided by a slot-shaped guide (51), which is preferably provided on the inner tube (27), between an interlocking position (55) and a release position (58) relative to the fixed engagement element (48).
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in any one of claims 3 to 12, characterised in that the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) has two movable catch elements (47', 47") which are each associated with a respective fixed engagement element (48', 48") provided on the outer tube (26), with a pair of toothed segments consisting of the first catch element (47') and the first fixed engagement element (48') and a pair of toothed segments consisting of the second catch element (47") and the second fixed engagement element (48") being offset in height relative to each other by half a tooth.
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the switching link (37) of the safety interlock (36) has a U-shaped or V-shaped guide track (45) which is provided in the lifting means (24) and is preferably realised as a switching plate including said guide track (45) for the lifting means (24) which is oriented with an angular offset of 90° relative to the gripping jaws (19) of the gripping tongs (12, 14; 12; 79), with a first switching position (73) for locking the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) being provided on one end of the guide track (45) and a second switching position (68) for releasing the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) being provided on the opposite end of the guide track (45), and the switching link (37) preferably actuating the switching lever (56) of the movable catch element (47) and thus releasing the interlocking position (55) of the self-retaining catch mechanism (41) by means of a stop (69) arranged on the switching link (37) when the latter takes the second switching position (68) .
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in any one of claims 3 to 14, characterised in that an aperture (65, 66) is provided respectively on adjacent lateral walls of the inner tube (27) and the outer tube (26), said apertures being positioned such as to be at least partially congruent with each other when the at least one gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) is in its opening position (31), and in that a gripping element (64) which is arranged on the movable catch element (47) engages therewith when the movable catch element (47) is in its release position (58), and in that preferably the at least one gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) is kept fixed in an opening position (31) when the gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) is lifted by the lifting means (24) and is, in particular, maintained in such position until the switching link (47) is transferred to the first switching state (74), and in that preferably, upon transferring the switching link (37) to the first switching state (74) once the gripping tongs (12, 14; 12, 79) have been positioned on the object to be gripped (32), the pivotable catch element (47) becomes released from the apertures (65, 66) of the inner tube (27) and the outer tube (26) and autonomously pivots toward the fixed engagement element (48).
- The gripping and lifting device as claimed in any one of claims 4 to 15, characterised in that an anti-release device (76) is provided at the head (23) of the support (17) and is preferably realised as a wall portion protecting a pivot area of the switching lever (56) between the interlocking position (55) and the release position (58) of the catch element (47).
