Definitions
- the invention relates to the field of packaging.
- the invention relates more particularly to a box comprising a base and a plurality of side walls each provided with a first horizontal cross member and a second horizontal cross member each provided with an upper edge and a lower edge defining at least locally the total height of said first, respectively second, horizontal cross member, said body comprising a first connecting piece forming the interface between a pair of adjacent side walls of the plurality of side walls, said first connecting piece being provided, for each side wall said pair of adjacent side walls, a housing for receiving part of the first corresponding horizontal cross member and a retaining member comprising an elastically deformable part and a retaining head.
- the invention also relates to a connecting piece particularly suited to the body.
- a box generally includes a base in the form of a pallet, for example made of wood. Side walls extend from the base so as to form, with said base, a container intended for the reception of any type of object which it is desired to pack / store in said case.
- the side walls can be fixed to each other by nails and / or strapped so as to be held relative to each other. Such operations are long and tedious.
- the dismantling of a studded box makes it more difficult to recycle or dismantle it.
- a system has been developed based on connecting parts which are coupled to two side walls of the body.
- the document FR2967976 discloses such a connecting piece which comprises two housings extending in different directions and each intended to accommodate a longitudinal end of a horizontal cross member of a corresponding side wall.
- the connecting piece also comprises an elastically deformable clip which is inserted into a slot made in a horizontal crosspiece of a side wall of the box. This therefore requires machining the side walls before mounting the body. This machining has a significant cost and weakens the structure of the body. On the other hand, to dismantle the box, it is difficult to remove the clip without tools.
- a system based on connecting parts coming to couple to two side walls of the body, is not sufficient in itself to ensure maintenance of the body as a whole, in particular of the side walls with the base.
- the document DE102011110110 discloses a box according to the preamble of claim 1, the box comprising a connecting piece in which the transverse wall has connecting elements in the form of nails or screws driven parallel to the planes of the side walls.
- the object of the present invention is to propose a solution which overcomes the drawbacks listed above.
- said first connecting piece comprises at least one stop intended to come into contact with at least one lateral face of a base of the box so as to allow the lateral wall to be held relative to the base, and a partition at the common proximal end of each housing.
- said stopper is fixed to said at least one lateral face of the base by means of rods penetrating into said at least one lateral face.
- the lower and upper edges of the corresponding first horizontal crosspiece are, at least in part, facing each other, and preferably in contact, the one with the bottom of the corresponding housing of the first connecting piece, and the other with the corresponding retaining head of the first connecting piece.
- said first connecting part performs the interface with a base of the body, each first horizontal crosspiece being a lower crosspiece, and it comprises a second connecting piece comprising, for each side wall of said pair of adjacent side walls, a housing for receiving a part of the second corresponding horizontal cross member, forming an upper horizontal cross member, and a retaining member comprising an elastically deformable part and a head retaining, and in the assembly configuration of said box, for each side wall of said pair of adjacent side walls, the lower and upper edges of the second horizontal crosspiece of the side wall concerned are, at least in part, opposite, and preferably in contact, one with the bottom of the corresponding housing of the second connecting piece and the other with the retaining head of the second connecting piece.
- the box may include a plurality of pairs of adjacent side walls, each pair cooperating with a corresponding first connecting piece and a corresponding second connecting piece.
- the second connecting piece has a shape different from the first connecting piece.
- each housing of the second connecting piece has two lateral internal faces arranged opposite and whose bracing corresponds substantially to the thickness of the second horizontal cross member housed in said housing.
- each housing of the second connecting part has an additional internal face, the bracing of which with one of the two lateral internal faces allows the housing of part of the corresponding second horizontal cross member as well as part of a vertical upright mounted on said second corresponding horizontal crosspiece.
- the connecting piece comprises a base provided with an upper face at the level of which are located the two housings intended to cooperate with two side walls of said body, and with a lower face, said piece comprising two stops extending from the lower face and included in different planes, said two stops being intended to come into contact with two adjacent lateral faces of the base of the body.
- the connecting piece comprises two housings extending in different directions, each housing being adapted to receive a corresponding side wall of a box with which said connecting piece is capable of being assembled, said piece comprising, at each housing , a retaining member provided with an elastically deformable part and a retaining head.
- the retaining head has a penetrating shape configured so as to come into friction along the side wall during the insertion of the side wall into the housing to allow the deformation of said elastically deformable part.
- the two housings each have a first end and a second end, the first ends being proximal and the second ends being distal.
- Each retaining member is arranged at a second corresponding end.
- the part is made of plastic.
- said stopper is previously fixed on at least one lateral face of the base by means of penetrating rods in at least one lateral face.
- the method comprises a step consisting in driving a second connecting part onto at least one pair of adjacent side walls of the plurality of side walls.
- the connecting parts of the body described below are shaped so that a horizontal crosspiece of a side wall is disposed along its entire height at the level of the connecting part between the bottom of a housing corresponding and a retaining head of a retaining member comprising an elastically deformable part.
- the XYZ frame of reference illustrated in the different figures corresponds to the body of the body and makes it possible to view the positioning of the different parts making up the body in this frame of reference.
- the Z axis corresponds to a vertical axis and the XY axes define a horizontal plane.
- the body 1 comprises a plurality of side walls 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d.
- Each side wall is preferably provided with at least two vertical uprights 3a, 3b, with a first horizontal crossbar 4a and a second horizontal crossbar 4b each provided with an upper edge 5a and a lower edge 5b defining at least locally the total height H of said first 4a, respectively second 4b, horizontal crosspiece.
- This height H ( figure 2 ) is preferably in the direction of the longitudinal axis A1 of the vertical uprights 3a, 3b.
- horizontal cross means a cross substantially parallel to the X or Y axis or included in a plane parallel to the XY plane.
- the body 1 comprises a first connecting piece 6 providing the interface between a pair of adjacent side walls 2c, 2d of the plurality of side walls, said first connecting piece 6 being provided, for each side wall of said pair of adjacent side walls 2c, 2d, of a receiving housing 7 ( figures 4a , 4b ) of a part of the corresponding first horizontal crosspiece 4a (that belonging to the corresponding side wall of said pair) and of a retaining member 8 comprising an elastically deformable part 9 and a retaining head 10.
- the lower and upper edges 5a, 5b of the first corresponding horizontal crosspiece 4a are, at least in part, facing each other, and preferably in contact, one with the bottom of the corresponding housing of the first connecting part, and the other with the corresponding retaining head 10 of the first connecting piece 6.
- the first connecting piece 6 is a corner connecting piece, that is to say that the two side walls of the pair of adjacent side walls are included respectively in intersecting planes in the assembly configuration of the body. .
- the elastically deformable part 9 of the retaining member 8 allows simple, manual and efficient assembly by interlocking principle with deformation of the retaining member 8 during assembly and the return to the natural position of the retaining member 8 in the assembled configuration of a connecting piece 6 with the side wall concerned.
- facing is meant that there may be a functional clearance between the edge (upper or lower) facing the bottom of the housing and / or the edge (upper or lower) facing the retaining head.
- the contact is such that the lower and upper edges 5a, 5b of the first corresponding horizontal crosspiece 4a are, at least in part, sandwiched between the bottom of the corresponding housing 7 of the first connecting piece 6 and the retaining head 10 corresponding to the first connecting piece 6.
- This assembly does not require forming slots beforehand in the corresponding horizontal crosspiece as in the prior art.
- the cooperation of the retaining head with an edge (whether it is higher or lower) of the horizontal crosspiece considered makes it easier to grip it to disengage it from its gaze with said edge via a force exerted so as to deform said elastically deformable part and thus facilitate disassembly of the body.
- the retaining head 10 has a graspable shape and / or an opening allowing the passage of a tool such as a hook.
- the retaining head 10 has a first face 11 intended to come opposite a corresponding upper or lower edge, and a second face 12 in an oblique plane relative to the bottom 13 of the housing 7 and having an interface with said first face 11.
- the elastically deformable part 9 is formed in the extension of a lateral partition 14 of the housing 7.
- the lateral partition 14 is that disposed at the exterior of the body 1 in the assembly configuration, this allowing better accessibility to check the assembly or disassemble the body 1.
- each of them has an interface with the elastically deformable part 9.
- This specific shape allows on the one hand a good grip, and on the other hand to facilitate the deformation of the retaining member 8.
- the connecting piece 6 comprises two housings 7 extending in different directions, each housing 7 being adapted to receive a corresponding side wall of a box with which said connecting piece 6 is capable of being assembled, said part comprising, at each housing 7, a retaining member 8 comprising an elastically deformable part 9 and a retaining head 10.
- Said retaining head 10 comprises a penetrating shape configured so as to come in friction along the side wall during the insertion of said side wall into the housing 7 to allow the deformation of said elastically deformable part 9.
- the penetrating shape 12 is also such that when the side wall is engaged with the bottom 13 of housing 7, the elastically deformable part 9 returns to its natural position and the bottom of housing 7 and the head of retained cooperate in maintaining, according to Z of said side wall. Said penetrating shape 12 is then, within the framework of the particular example described above, delimited at least in part by the second oblique face 12. It will be understood from what has been said above that the retaining member 8 is arranged so as to maintain a horizontal crosspiece of a wall of the box between the bottom of the corresponding housing and the corresponding retaining head.
- each first connecting part 6 interfaces with a base 15 ( Figures 1 to 3 ) of the body 1 and each first horizontal cross member 4a is a lower cross member.
- the body 1 comprises a second connecting part 16 ( figures 1, 2 , 5, 6 ) comprising, for each side wall of said pair of adjacent side walls (2c, 2d), a housing 17 for receiving part of the second corresponding horizontal cross member, forming an upper horizontal cross member, and a retaining member 18 comprising a part elastically deformable 19 and a retaining head 20.
- the lower and upper edges of the second horizontal cross member 4b of the side wall concerned are, at least in part, facing and preferably in contact, one with the bottom 21 of the corresponding housing 17 of the second connecting part 16 and the other with the retaining head 20 of the second part 16.
- the two side walls 2c, 2d of said pair are connected by a first connecting piece 6 placed in the lower part of the body 1 and by a second connecting piece 16 placed in the upper part of the body 1 and vertically (along Z) of the first connecting part 6. Consequently, the first connecting part 6 participates in the maintenance of a lower cross member of one of the side walls of said pair and maintaining a lower cross member of the other side wall of said pair.
- the second connecting part 16 participates in the maintenance of an upper cross member of one of the side walls of said pair and in the maintenance of an upper cross member of the other of the side walls of said pair.
- the box 1 is intended to form a parallelepiped container.
- it has four side walls, four first connecting pieces 6 and four second connecting pieces 16.
- the arrangement of the side walls can also be such that the section of the body at the side walls in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the vertical uprights can adopt the shape of any type of polygon.
- the box can include a plurality of pairs of adjacent side walls 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, each couple cooperating with a corresponding first connecting piece 6 and a corresponding second connecting piece 16 (therefore, each side wall of the body cooperates with two first connecting pieces and two second connecting pieces 16).
- the second connecting piece 16 has a shape different from the first connecting piece 6. This makes it possible in particular to facilitate the assembly of the box by allowing faster visual identification.
- each housing 17 of the second connecting piece 16 has two internal lateral faces 22a, 22b arranged opposite, the bracing E1 corresponding substantially to the thickness of the second horizontal cross member housed in said housing 17 of the second connecting piece 16.
- substantially to the thickness it is meant that the bracing is such that it makes it possible to clamp the second crosspiece between the two internal faces, or that it allows a functional clearance.
- each housing of the second part 16 has an additional internal face 22c, the bracing of which with one of the two lateral internal faces 22a allows the housing of part of the corresponding second horizontal cross member as well as part of a vertical upright mounted on said second corresponding horizontal crosspiece.
- the two housings 7 of the first part 6 each have an end separated from the other housing of the first part by a partition 23 ( figure 4a ).
- This partition can be formed by the surfaces of a rectangular or square section tube arranged in the corner of the connecting piece 6, at the border between the two housings 7. This makes it possible to guarantee better retention of the elements and to guarantee the parallelism of the body walls.
- the two housings 17 ( Figures 5 and 6 ) each have two opposite ends open along the longitudinal axis of the horizontal cross member to be housed (X or Y axis in the particular example of the figures).
- the horizontal cross member housed in said housing 17 projects on either side of said housing 17 along the longitudinal axis of said horizontal cross member housed. This makes it possible to use less material and therefore to reduce manufacturing costs.
- each associated housing 17 has no imprint allowing the reception of a vertical upright.
- each housing 17 has only two opposite internal faces 22a, 22b connected by a bottom 21 making the bracing of said internal faces 22a, 22b.
- the second connecting part 16 comprises means favoring its positioning and / or its attachment to the base 15 of another box 1 coming to be superimposed on a first box comprising said second connecting part 16.
- the second part 16 may include ( figure 7 ) a base 24 provided with a first face 24a carrying the housings 17, this first face 24a comprising zones forming the bottom 21 of the housings 17, and with a second face 24b (opposite the first face) and comprising elements d adhesion 25.
- the adhesion elements 25 may be formed by spikes intended to penetrate into a base.
- the second part comprises a base 24 provided with a lower face 24a at the level of which are located the two housings 17 intended to cooperate with two side walls of said box 1 and with an upper face 24b.
- the upper face 24b comprises adhesion elements 25 to a lower face of a base 15 of an additional box stacked on said box.
- the first connecting part 6 comprises guide elements or stops 26 ( figures 4a and 4b ) intended to marry part of an edge of the base 15 for positioning.
- the first connecting piece 6 comprises two stops 26 extending from the underside of the piece 6 and included in different planes, said two stops 26 being intended to come into contact with two adjacent lateral faces of the base 15 of the body.
- the first part 6 may include a base provided with an upper face at the level of which are located the two housings intended to cooperate with two side walls of said box, and with a lower face, said part comprising two stops 26 extending from the lower face or beyond the lower face and included in different planes, said two stops 26 being intended to come into contact with two adjacent lateral faces of the base 15 of the body 1.
- each longitudinal end of each lower horizontal cross member is housed in a corresponding housing of a corresponding connecting piece of the type with guide element as described above, this furthermore allows a maintenance mutual of the side walls with respect to the base 15 of the body 1.
- a stop may have a part 36 which is sufficiently enlarged to reinforce the mutual retention of the side walls relative to the base 15 of the body 1.
- a stop may include an enlarged part 36, for example example at the angle of the connecting piece, then a part of lower height extending to the end of the bottom 13 of the piece.
- the enlarged part comprises a height (in the direction z) of at least 2 cm, or even 3 cm, under the lower surface of the bottom 13 of the part, and / or a length of at least minus 5 cm (in an x and / or y direction).
- the stops 26 may be identical on the two directions (x and y) of the connecting piece, or different.
- the bevelled shape of the penetrating part 12, descending from the outside towards the inside of the box, makes it possible to spread the latter towards the outside by simple pressure of the finger without having to use a tool.
- the two housings 7, 17 of a connecting piece each have a first end and a second end, the first ends being proximal (and separated by a partition 23 as illustrated in the example at figure 4a or communicating with each other as in the example of the figure 5 ) and the second ends being distal.

- This procedure is particularly well suited to the packaging of heavy goods such as engines and / or vehicle body sub-assemblies.
- the pair of side walls driven into the previous step in the connecting piece 6, gives a benchmark to the human operator to laterally arrange the goods on the base 15.
- the attachment of the connecting piece 6 with the base 15 particularly studied as seen above, ensures the maintenance of the side walls, even in the event of grazing of goods during its installation.
- a fifth step consists in driving the other side walls 2a, 2b into the other connecting pieces 6 to produce the box 1 for packaging the goods.
- a sixth step consists in pushing a second connecting piece 16 onto at least one pair of adjacent side walls 2c, 2d of the plurality of side walls. It is possible to perform the sixth step in two stages. Firstly, the second connecting piece 16 can be put on the top of the adjacent side walls 2c, 2d, before placing the goods on the base 15, so as to reinforce the cohesion of the side walls during installation. goods. In a second step, other second connecting pieces 16 can be placed on the top of the set of adjacent side walls 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, after having placed the goods on the base 15, so as to complete the creation of box 1 in strengthening the cohesion of the side walls. You can also put a cover on the top of the side walls at the start of this second step.
- the connecting pieces are made of plastic (for example polypropylene).

- Other materials are also possible such as metal, wood, etc.
- the side walls, and where appropriate the base, are preferably made of wood.
Description
The invention relates to the field of packaging.
The invention relates more particularly to a box comprising a base and a plurality of side walls each provided with a first horizontal cross member and a second horizontal cross member each provided with an upper edge and a lower edge defining at least locally the total height of said first, respectively second, horizontal cross member, said body comprising a first connecting piece forming the interface between a pair of adjacent side walls of the plurality of side walls, said first connecting piece being provided, for each side wall said pair of adjacent side walls, a housing for receiving part of the first corresponding horizontal cross member and a retaining member comprising an elastically deformable part and a retaining head. The invention also relates to a connecting piece particularly suited to the body.
A box generally includes a base in the form of a pallet, for example made of wood. Side walls extend from the base so as to form, with said base, a container intended for the reception of any type of object which it is desired to pack / store in said case.
When making a box, the side walls can be fixed to each other by nails and / or strapped so as to be held relative to each other. Such operations are long and tedious. In addition, the dismantling of a studded box makes it more difficult to recycle or dismantle it.
A system based on connecting parts coming to couple to two side walls of the body, is not sufficient in itself to ensure maintenance of the body as a whole, in particular of the side walls with the base. To combat the tearing of the walls out of the base, it is necessary to perform a strapping, costly in ribbon supply and costly in labor time.
The object of the present invention is to propose a solution which overcomes the drawbacks listed above.
We tend towards this goal thanks to a box according to
Advantageously, said stopper is fixed to said at least one lateral face of the base by means of rods penetrating into said at least one lateral face.
Particularly in an assembly configuration of said box, for each side wall of said pair of adjacent side walls, the lower and upper edges of the corresponding first horizontal crosspiece are, at least in part, facing each other, and preferably in contact, the one with the bottom of the corresponding housing of the first connecting piece, and the other with the corresponding retaining head of the first connecting piece.
Preferably, said first connecting part performs the interface with a base of the body, each first horizontal crosspiece being a lower crosspiece, and it comprises a second connecting piece comprising, for each side wall of said pair of adjacent side walls, a housing for receiving a part of the second corresponding horizontal cross member, forming an upper horizontal cross member, and a retaining member comprising an elastically deformable part and a head retaining, and in the assembly configuration of said box, for each side wall of said pair of adjacent side walls, the lower and upper edges of the second horizontal crosspiece of the side wall concerned are, at least in part, opposite, and preferably in contact, one with the bottom of the corresponding housing of the second connecting piece and the other with the retaining head of the second connecting piece.
The box may include a plurality of pairs of adjacent side walls, each pair cooperating with a corresponding first connecting piece and a corresponding second connecting piece.
Preferably, the second connecting piece has a shape different from the first connecting piece.
For example, each housing of the second connecting piece has two lateral internal faces arranged opposite and whose bracing corresponds substantially to the thickness of the second horizontal cross member housed in said housing.
For example, each housing of the second connecting part has an additional internal face, the bracing of which with one of the two lateral internal faces allows the housing of part of the corresponding second horizontal cross member as well as part of a vertical upright mounted on said second corresponding horizontal crosspiece.
The connecting piece comprises a base provided with an upper face at the level of which are located the two housings intended to cooperate with two side walls of said body, and with a lower face, said piece comprising two stops extending from the lower face and included in different planes, said two stops being intended to come into contact with two adjacent lateral faces of the base of the body.
The connecting piece comprises two housings extending in different directions, each housing being adapted to receive a corresponding side wall of a box with which said connecting piece is capable of being assembled, said piece comprising, at each housing , a retaining member provided with an elastically deformable part and a retaining head. Advantageously, the retaining head has a penetrating shape configured so as to come into friction along the side wall during the insertion of the side wall into the housing to allow the deformation of said elastically deformable part.
The two housings each have a first end and a second end, the first ends being proximal and the second ends being distal. Each retaining member is arranged at a second corresponding end.
Preferably, the part is made of plastic.
- supply a plurality of side walls each provided with a first horizontal cross member and a second horizontal cross member each provided with an upper edge and a lower edge defining at least locally a total height of said first, respectively second, horizontal cross member ,
- supplying a base comprising a plurality of first connecting parts forming the interface between a pair of adjacent side walls of the plurality of side walls, each first connecting part being provided, for each side wall of said pair of adjacent side walls, with a housing for receiving a part of the corresponding first horizontal cross member and a retaining member comprising an elastically deformable part and a retaining head, at least one first connecting part comprises at least one stop which comes into contact with the at least one lateral face of the base so as to allow the lateral wall to be held relative to the base,
- pressing a pair of adjacent side walls of the plurality of side walls into one of the connecting pieces,
- place the goods on the base,
- push the other side walls into the other connecting parts to make a box for packaging said goods.
Advantageously in the method, said stopper is previously fixed on at least one lateral face of the base by means of penetrating rods in at least one lateral face.
In particular, the method comprises a step consisting in driving a second connecting part onto at least one pair of adjacent side walls of the plurality of side walls.

The connecting parts of the body described below are shaped so that a horizontal crosspiece of a side wall is disposed along its entire height at the level of the connecting part between the bottom of a housing corresponding and a retaining head of a retaining member comprising an elastically deformable part.
The XYZ frame of reference illustrated in the different figures corresponds to the body of the body and makes it possible to view the positioning of the different parts making up the body in this frame of reference. Thus, the Z axis corresponds to a vertical axis and the XY axes define a horizontal plane.
Preferably, the first connecting
The elastically
By "facing" is meant that there may be a functional clearance between the edge (upper or lower) facing the bottom of the housing and / or the edge (upper or lower) facing the retaining head.
This assembly does not require forming slots beforehand in the corresponding horizontal crosspiece as in the prior art. In addition, the cooperation of the retaining head with an edge (whether it is higher or lower) of the horizontal crosspiece considered makes it easier to grip it to disengage it from its gaze with said edge via a force exerted so as to deform said elastically deformable part and thus facilitate disassembly of the body.
In addition, opposite the common interface between the first and second faces 11, 12, each of them has an interface with the elastically
In other words, it results more generally that the connecting
In fact, for the same pair of
According to a particular embodiment, the

When, for each side wall of the body, each longitudinal end of each lower horizontal cross member is housed in a corresponding housing of a corresponding connecting piece of the type with guide element as described above, this furthermore allows a maintenance mutual of the side walls with respect to the

This arrangement is particularly suitable for the method of packaging goods which includes the steps explained now.
A first step consists in supplying a plurality of
Advantageously, the
The first two steps can be carried out simultaneously in the same step during which a kit is supplied comprising the base pre-equipped with the lower connecting pieces, the side walls and upper connecting pieces.
A fourth step consists in placing the goods on the
A fifth step consists in driving the
A sixth step consists in pushing a second connecting
Everything that has been said in combination with the connecting
Preferably, the connecting pieces are made of plastic (for example polypropylene). The use of plastic avoids cutting your finger when pressing on the penetrating
The side walls, and where appropriate the base, are preferably made of wood.
