Abstract

Es wird eine Kartusche mit einer sich in Längsrichtung erstreckenden Aufnahmekammer für ein auszutragendes Medium miteinem Kopfteil und einer Kartuschenwand, welche die Aufnahmekammer begrenzen, beschrieben, wobei das Kopfteileinen Auslass für das Medium aufweist. Die Kartuschenwand ist zumindest bereichsweise als Folie und das Kopfteil ist als formfestes Teil ausgestaltet. Das Kopfteil ist dichtend und insbesondere unlösbar mit der Kartuschenwand verbunden und die Kartusche ist als kollabierbare Kartusche ausgebildet, d.h. dass sie von einem expandierten Zustand, in dem die Aufnahmekammer ein maximales Volumen besitzt,in einen kollabierten Zustand, in dem die Aufnahmekammer ein minimales Volumen besitzt, überführbar ist. Die noch nicht mit Medium befüllte Kartusche befindet sich in ihrem kollabierten Zustand.Weiter wird ein Verfahren zum Herstellen einer solchen Kartusche beschrieben.

Description

Kartusche und Verfahren zum Herstellen einer Kartusche
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Kartusche nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 . Weiterhin ist die Erfindung auf ein Verfahren zum Herstellen und insbesondere zusätzlich zum Befüllen einer solchen Kartusche gerichtet.
Im industriellen Bereich, im Bauwesen, beispielsweise von Gebäuden, und auch im Dentalbereich werden häufig Kartuschen eingesetzt, um flüssige fliessfähige, oftmals pastöse oder viskose bis hochviskose Substanzen zu lagern und bei Bedarf für die jeweilige Anwendung auszutragen. Beispiele für solche Substanzen sind Fugendichtmassen, Massen für chemische Dübel oder chemische Anker, Klebstoffe, Pasten oder Abformmassen im Dentalbereich. Üblicherweise sind diese Kartuschen aus Kunststoff gefertigt und werden in einem Spritzgiessverfah- ren hergestellt.
Man unterscheidet zwischen Einkomponentensystem, bei welchen das auszutragende Material nur aus einer Komponente besteht, und Zwei- oder Mehrkompo- nentensystemen, bei denen mindestens zwei verschiedene Komponenten in separaten Kammern der gleichen Kartusche oder in separaten Kartuschen gelagert werden, wobei die Komponenten beim Austragen mittels einer dynamischen oder einer statischen Mischvorrichtung innig durchmischt werden. Beispiele hierfür sind Zwei-Komponenten-Kleber oder chemische Dübel, die erst nach dem Durchmi- sehen der beiden Komponenten aushärten. Insbesondere im industriellen Bereich werden Zweikomponentensysteme auch für Farben eingesetzt, die oft zur Erzeugung funktioneller Schutzschichten, z.B. zum Korrosionsschutz, verwendet werden. Oft ist es so, dass die Kartuschen einen (oder mehrere) axial verschiebbaren Förderkolben umfassen, durch dessen Bewegung das Material aus der Kammer oder den Kammern ausgetragen wird. Es versteht sich, dass dazu die Kammern genügend dicke Wandungen aufweisen müssen, um dem beim Austragen entste- henden Druck standhalten zu können. Zudem müssen die Kartuschen genügend dicke Wandstärken aufweisen, um ausreichend diffusionsdicht zu sein. Dies ist insbesondere im Hinblick auf die Lagerung wichtig, um ein Hineindiffundieren oder ein Herausdiffundieren der chemischen Substanzen und damit eine Degradation des Kartuscheninhalts möglichst wirkungsvoll zu verhindern. Da solche Kunst- stoffkartuschen in der Regel nur für den Einmalgebrauch ausgelegt sind, resultiert sowohl vom Volumen als auch von der Masse eine erhebliche Abfallmenge, was insbesondere auch unter Aspekten des Umweltschutzes nachteilig ist.
Eine bekannte Alternative zu den Kunststoffkartuschen stellen Schläuche dar, in denen die jeweiligen Materialien gelagert werden. Diese Schläuche werden dann in spezielle Stütz- oder Austragsvorrichtungen eingelegt, um Ihren Inhalt für die jeweilige Anwendung auszutragen. Zwar sind solche Schläuche insbesondere vom Abfallvolumen her gesehen deutlich günstiger als Kartuschen, sie haben aber andere Nachteile. Es bedarf deutlich aufwändigerer Befüllvorrichtungen, um die Schläuche zu befüllen und zu verschliessen. Zudem ist ihre Lagerung problematischer, denn Schläuche sind nicht stehfähig, sodass für die Lagerung besondere Massnahmen bzw. Verpackungen vorgesehen werden müssen. Auch können Probleme mit der Dichtheit solcher Schläuche auftreten. Zudem ist die Masse des Restvolumens im Schlauch, das nicht ausgetragen werden kann, relativ hoch. Schläuche haben ferner den Nachteil, dass sie sehr empfindlich gegenüber mechanischen Einflüssen sind, insbesondere gegenüber scharfen Kanten oder spitzen Ecken.
Neben dem Aspekt des Umweltschutzes gewinnt auch das Thema der Nachhal- tigkeit zunehmend an Bedeutung. Die Verwendung erneuerbarer Ausgangsmate- rialien, die Minimierung des Rohmaterial- und Energieverbrauchs sowie eine möglichst starke Reduzierung des Abfalls sowohl im Hinblick auf die Kartusche an sich als auch auf das in der Kartusche verbleibende Volumen an Restmasse gewinnen zunehmend an Bedeutung.
Die unbefüllten Kartuschen werden üblicherweise von den Kartuschenherstellern zu den Herstellern der Füllmaterialien (Medien) transportiert, die dann für das Befüllen der Leerkartuschen Sorge tragen. Auch wenn die unbefüllten Kartuschen ein relativ geringes Gewicht besitzen, sind die Kosten für den Transport der Leer- kartuschen von den Kartuschenherstellern zu den Medienherstellern relativ hoch, da die Leerkartuschen ein relativ grosses Volumen und damit einen hohen Platzbedarf beim Transport besitzen. Darüber hinaus sind auch die Lagerkosten für die Leerkartuschen sowohl bei den Kartuschenherstellern als auch bei den Medienherstellern aufgrund des Platzbedarfs relativ hoch. Diese Kosten nehmen einen nicht unerheblichen Teil der Gesamtherstellungskosten der Kartuschen ein.
Es ist daher eine Aufgabe der Erfindung, eine Kartusche der eingangs genannten Art sowie ein Verfahren zum Herstellen einer solchen Kartusche vorzuschlagen, mit denen die Gesamtherstellungskosten reduziert werden können.
Erfindungsgemäss wird diese Aufgabe mit einer Kartusche mit den Merkmalen des Anspruchs 1 sowie mit einem Verfahren zum Herstellen einer solchen Kartusche mit den Merkmalen des Anspruchs 7 gelöst. Mit der Erfindung kann der Platzbedarf einer noch nicht befüllten Kartusche, je nach maximalem Befüllvolumen der Kartusche, auf einen Bruchteil, beispielsweise auf weniger als 30%, insbesondere weniger als 25%, bevorzugt weniger als 20% des Platzbedarfs einer üblichen Kartusche bzw. der Kartusche im expandierten Zustand reduziert werden. Ebenso kann der Platzbedarf einer noch nicht befüllten Aufnahmekammer, je nach maximalem Befüllvolumen der Aufnahmekammer, auf einen Bruchteil, beispielsweise auf weniger als 30%, insbesondere weniger als 25%, bevorzugt weniger als 20% des Platzbedarfs der Aufnahmekammer im expandierten Zustand reduziert werden. Erfindungsgemäss wird die Erkenntnis ausgenutzt, dass die flexible Kartuschenwand einer kollabierenden Kartusche nicht nur beim Austragen der Füllmasse aus der befüllten Kartusche zusammengeschoben werden kann, sondern dass auch eine Kartusche, die noch gar nicht befüllt wurde, in entsprechender Weise kollabiert werden kann. Damit kann gleichzeitig das Volumen der Kartusche bzw. deren Aufnahmekammer minimiert werden kann, so dass die Lager- und Transportkosten aufgrund des verringerten Platzbe- darfs deutlich verringert werden können. Da die kollabierte Kartusche jederzeit problemlos wieder in ihren expandierten Zustand überführt werden kann, sind das Expandieren und die damit verbundene Vergrösserung des Volumens des Aufnahmeraums erst erforderlich, wenn die Kartusche mit der Füllmasse befüllt wird. Unter dem Platzbedarf der Kartusche/Aufnahmekammer ist nicht das Innenvolu- men der Kartusche/Aufnahmekammer zu verstehen, sondern das Volumen der die Kartusche/Aufnahmekammer umschließenden virtuellen Hülle (konvexe Hülle) bzw. des die Kartusche/Aufnahmekammer umschließenden Raums, der für die Lagerung und/oder den Transport der Kartusche/Aufnahmekammer benötigt wird. Die Verbindung zwischen dem Kopfteil und der Kartuschenwand kann beispielsweise durch Verkleben, Verschmelzen, Verschweissen oder durch Verklemmen realisiert sein. Es ist auch möglich, dass das Kopfteil an die Kartuschenwand, insbesondere an deren stirnseitiges Ende, angespritzt ist und somit Kopfteil und Kartuschenwand einstückig ausgebildet sind. Das von dem Kopfteil abgewandte Ende der Kartuschenwand ist zur Bildung der Aufnahmekammer geschlossen ausgebildet. Dabei kann das geschlossene Ende unmittelbar beim Erzeugen des Folienschlauchs erzeugt werden. Es ist aber auch möglich, dass dieses Ende zunächst offen ausgebildet ist und in einem weiteren Verfahrensschritt nachträglich geschlossen wird. Dies kann beispielsweise durch Verkleben, Vercrimpen, Verschmelzen, Verschweissen, durch Verklemmen beispielsweise mittels eines Klemmrings oder durch Anbringen eines separaten Abschlusselements wie einer Endplatte erfolgen.
Die Ausgestaltung der Kartuschenwand als Folie bedeutet zum einen eine erhebli- che Reduktion des Abfalls und der für die Herstellung benötigten Rohstoffe und bringt zum anderen eine sehr hohe Flexibilität im Hinblick auf die Materialwahl mit sich. Die Folie kann je nach Anwendungsfall an den spezifischen Kartuscheninhalt angepasst werden und stellt gleichzeitig eine sehr effiziente Diffusionssperre dar. Vorzugsweise kann die erfindungsgemässe Kartusche beim Befüllen und/oder beim Austragen ihres Inhalts in eine wiederverwendbare Stützkartusche eingelegt werden. Bevorzugt kann die die Kartuschenwand bildende Folie als Mehrschichtsystem, insbesondere als Verbundfolie ausgestaltet sein. Dabei kann die Folie Kunststoffschichten und/oder metallische Schichten, insbesondere eine oder mehrere Aluminiumschichten, umfassen.
Nach einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform der Erfindung ist im kollabierten Zustand der Kartusche die Kartuschenwand in Längsrichtung der Aufnahmekammer zusammengeschoben. Dadurch wird automatisch eine Verkürzung der Kartusche erreicht, die einer optimalen Verringerung des Platzbedarfs entspricht. Darüber hinaus entspricht das Zusammenschieben in Längsrichtung dem Zusammenschieben der Kartuschenwand beim Austragen der Füllmasse, so dass die Kartuschenwand nicht speziell eingerichtet werden muss, um auch das Zusammenschieben der unbefüllten Kartusche zu ermöglichen. Grundsätzlich ist es auch denkbar, dass zum Erreichen des kollabierten Zustands die Kartuschenwand in andere Weise umgeformt wird. Beispielsweise könnte die Kartuschenwand quer und insbesondere senkrecht zur Längsachse der Aufnahmekammer verformt und insbesondere zusammengeschoben werden. Dies könnten beispielsweise dadurch erreicht werden, dass in dem unbefüllten Aufnahmeraum ein Unterdruck bzw. ein Vakuum erzeugt wird, durch den ein Zusammenziehen der Kartuschen- wand quer zur Längsrichtung der Aufnahmekammer erfolgt. Anschliessend könnte die derart flachgedrückte Kartuschenwand beispielsweise zusammengerollt oder zusammengefaltet werden, um eine Längenverkürzung der Kartusche zu erreichen. Bevorzugt ist die Kartusche als Einkomponentenkartusche mit einer Aufnahmekammer oder als Mehrkomponentenkartusche mit mehreren Aufnahmekammern, insbesondere als Zweikomponetenkartusche mit zwei Aufnahmekammern, ausgebildet. Insbesondere können die Aufnahmekammern dabei eine zylindrische Form besitzen und im Falle einer Mehrkomponentenkartusche nebeneinander angeord- net sein. Es ist auch möglich, dass die Aufnahmekammern eine von der Zylinderform abweichende Form besitzen und insbesondere so ausgebildet sind, dass sie nebeneinander angeordnet zusammen eine zylindrische Form ergeben.
Im Falle einer Mehrkomponentenkartusche ist bevorzugt jeder Aufnahmekammer ein separates Kopfteil zugeordnet, dessen Auslass jeweils mit der ihm zugeordneten Aufnahmekammer in Fluidverbindung steht. Es ist jedoch auch möglich, dass den Aufnahmekammern ein einheitliches gemeinsames Kopfteil zugeordnet ist, wobei das Kopfteil mehrere Auslässe aufweist, von denen jeweils einer in Fluidverbindung mit je einer Aufnahmekammer steht.
Bevorzugt ist das Kopfteil an die Kartuschenwand angespritzt. Dadurch wird eine einstückige Ausbildung und damit eine sehr dichte und stabile Verbindung von Kopfteil und Kartuschenwand erreicht. Vorteilhaft ist das von dem Kopfteil entfernt liegende Ende der Kartuschenwand durch eine Crimp- oder Klemmverbindung dichtend abgeschlossen. Das ursprünglich offene Ende der schlauchförmigen Kartuschenwand kann auf diese Weise einfach, kostengünstig und zuverlässig abgedichtet werden.
Bei dem erfindungsgemässen Verfahren wird zunächst die Kartuschenwand dich- tend und unlösbar so mit dem Kopfteil verbunden, dass die Kartusche in ihrem expandierten Zustand erzeugt wird. Erst nach dem Erzeugen der Kartusche in ihrem expandierten Zustand wird die Kartuschenwand so zusammengeschoben, dass die Kartusche in ihren kollabierten Zustand überführt wird, in dem die Aufnahmekammer ihr minimales Volumen besitzt. Dies ist vollkommen konträr zu den bisher bekannten Vorgehensweisen zum Herstellen einer Kartusche, bei denen die Leerkartusche immer mit ihrem maximalen Befüllvolumen erzeugt wird. Erst im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung wurde erkannt, dass das Erzeugen der Leerkartuschen im kollabierten Zustand in erheblichen Kosteneinsparungen beim der Lagerung und beim Transport resultieren kann und dass dennoch problemlos das maximale Befüllvolumen für die gefüllte Kartusche hergestellt werden kann, indem die Kartusche erst unmittelbar vor dem Befüllen bzw. während und insbesondere direkt durch das Befüllen von ihrem kollabierten Zustand in den expandierten Zustand gebracht wird. Nach einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform der Erfindung wird vor dem Zusammenschieben das von dem Kopfteil entfernt liegende Ende der Kartuschenwand dichtend verschlossen wird. Dies kann beispielsweise bereits direkt beim Herstellen der schlauchförmigen Kartuschenwand erfolgen, indem ein Ende der Kartuschenwand geschlossen hergestellt wird. Es ist aber auch möglich, dass die Kartu- schenwand zunächst mit zwei offenen Enden herstellt wird und erst zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt das von dem Kopfteil entfernt liegende Ende verschlossen wird, wie es weiter oben bereits ausgeführt wurde.
Vorteilhaft wird die Kartuschenwand in Längsrichtung der Aufnahmekammer zu- sammengeschoben wird. Insbesondere ist es dabei bevorzugt, dass in der Aufnahmekammer ein vordefinierter Druck erzeugt wird und das Zusammenschieben der Kartuschenwand gegen den Druck erfolgt. Weiter bevorzugt wird beim Zusammenschieben der Druck nach und nach abgebaut und der Druck insbesondere so hoch gewählt wird, dass die Kartuschenwand beim Zusammenschieben im Wesentlichen ziehharmonikaartig zusammengefaltet wird. Dadurch ist ein kontrol- liertes Zusammenschieben der Kartuschenwand gewährleistet, die wiederum ein problemloses Auseinanderschieben der Kartuschenwand beim Befüllen ermöglicht. Wie bereits beschrieben ist es grundsätzlich auch denkbar, dass zum Erreichen des kollabierten Zustands die Kartuschenwand in andere Weise umgeformt wird. Beispielsweise könnte die Kartuschenwand quer und insbesondere senkrecht zur Längsachse der Aufnahmekammer verformt und insbesondere zusammengeschoben werden.
Weiter bevorzugt wird zum Befüllen der Kartusche das Medium durch den Auslass im Kopfteil in die Aufnahmekammer eingefüllt. Dadurch ist gewährleistet, dass die Aufnahmekammer insbesondere im Bereich des Auslasses zuverlässig mit Medium befüllt ist.
Vorteilhaft wird durch das Befüllen der Kartusche die Kartuschenwand wieder auseinandergeschoben, so dass die Kartusche von ihrem kollabierten Zustand in einen teilexpandierten oder in ihren expandierten Zustand überführt wird. Somit ist für das das Expandieren der Kartusche kein separater Verfahrensschritt erforderlich, da Expandieren und Befüllen in einem gemeinsamen Verfahrensschritt realisiert werden.
Die Erfindung wird nachfolgend anhand eines Ausführungsbeispiels unter Bezugnahme auf die Zeichnungen näher beschrieben; in diesen zeigen:
Fig.1 eine erfindungsgemässe Zweikomponentenkartusche in ihrem expandierten Zustand,
Fig. 2 die Kartusche nach Fig .1 in ihrem kollabierten Zustand,
Fig. 3 eine erfindungsgemässe Kartusche ohne Verschlusskappe, Fig. 4 eine geöffnete Austragvorrichtung für eine erfindungsgemässe Kartusche ohne eingesetzte Kartusche,

Fig. 6 die Austragvorrichtung nach den Fig. 4 und 5 mit vollständig eingesetzter, austragsbereiter Kartusche und Fig. 7 ein schematisches Flussdiagramm der Herstellung und der Verwendung einer erfindungsgemässen Kartusche.
Fig. 1 zeigt eine als Zweikomponentenkartusche ausgebildete Kartusche 1 , die zwei zylindrische Aufnahmekammern 2, 3 umfasst. Die Aufnahmekammern 2, 3 sind jeweils von einer Kartuschenwand 4, 5 sowie von einem gemeinsamen Kopfteil 6 begrenzt, das jeweils ein stirnseitiges Ende jeder Aufnahmekammer 2, 3 bildet. Die beiden von dem Kopfteil 6 entfernt liegenden Enden 7,8 der beiden Kartuschenwände 4, 5 sind jeweils zur Mittelachse der jeweiligen Aufnahmekammer 2, 3 zusammengeführt und durch je einen Klemmring 9, 10 so zusammenge- bunden, dass die Enden 7, 8 dichtend abgeschlossen sind.
Die dem Kopfteil 6 zugewandten Enden 1 1 , 12 sind mit dem Kopfteil 6 dichtend und unlösbar verbunden, indem das Kopfteil 6 an die Enden 1 1 , 12 angespritzt ist. Während das Kopfteil 6 aus einem formstabilen Kunststoff besteht, sind die Kartu- schenwände 4, 5 als Mehrschichtfolie ausgestaltet, die jeweils in ihrem überwiegenden Mittelbereich zu einer zylindrischen Form gerollt und verschweisst sind und zusammen mit dem Kopfteil 6 die zylinderförmigen Aufnahmekammern 2, 3 bilden. Das Kopfteil 6 besitzt zwei Auslässe 13, 14, die zum Befüllen der Aufnahmekammern 2, 3 mit Füllmasse und zum Austragen der Füllmasse aus den Aufnahmekammern 2, 3 mit diesen verbunden sind. Weiterhin ist eine Schraubkappe 15 vorgesehen, durch die die Auslässe 13, 14 gemeinsam verschlossen sind.
In Fig. 1 sind die Aufnahmekammern 2, 3 noch nicht mit Füllmasse, d.h. dem auszutragenden Medium gefüllt, sondern leer. Trotzdem besitzen die Kartuschenwände 4, 5, aufgrund der Steifigkeit des verwendeten Folienmaterials die in Fig. 1 gezeigte im Wesentlichen zylindrische Form, die den expandierten Zustand der Kartusche 1 mit maximalem Volumen der Aufnahmekammern 2, 3 darstellt.
Erfindungsgemäss werden die Kartuschenwände 4, 5 noch vor dem Befüllen mit dem auszutragenden Medium in Längsrichtung der Aufnahmekammern 2, 3 zusammengeschoben, bis die Kartusche ihren kollabierten Zustand, in dem die Auf- nahmekammern 2, 3 jeweils ihr minimales Volumen besitzen, einnimmt. Dieser kollabierte Zustand ist in Fig. 2 gezeigt. Aus dem Vergleich der Fig. 1 und 2 wird sofort deutlich, dass der Platzbedarf der Kartusche 1 bzw. der Aufnahmekammern 2, 3 im kollabierten Zustand nur ca. 20% des Platzbedarfs im expandierten Zustand beträgt. Das Zusammenschieben der Kartuschenwände 4, 5 kann dabei, insbesondere bei abgeschraubter Schraubkappe 15 durch eine im Folgenden noch näher beschriebene Austragvorrichtung erfolgen.
Fig. 3 zeigt eine gegenüber den Fig. 1 und 2 geringfügig abgewandelte Kartusche 1 . Der einzige Unterschied besteht darin, dass im Bereich der Auslässe 13, 14 keine Schraubverbindung zum Befestigen der Schraubkappe 15, sondern eine
Bajonettverbindung zum Befestigen einer Verschlusskappe mit Bajonettverschluss vorgesehen ist. Die Ausgestaltung der Befestigungsart durch Verschraubung oder durch eine Bajonettverbindung ist für die vorliegende Erfindung nicht relevant. Darüber hinaus umfasst auch eine Bajonettbefestigung neben einer Steckbewe- gung eine sich daran anschließende Dreh- bzw. Schraubbewegung, so dass im Folgenden zur Vereinfachung einheitlich die Begriffe "Schraubkappe" bzw.
"Schraubansatz" verwendet werden, auch wenn eine Bajonettbefestigung der Verschlusskappe gezeigt ist. In Fig. 3 ist aufgrund der abgenommenen Schraubkappe 15 zu erkennen, dass sich die Auslässe 13, 14 bis zu einem stirnseitigen freien Ende eines Schraubansatzes 16 erstrecken, auf den die Schraubkappe 15 aufschraubbar ist. Über die Auslässe 13, 14 ist eine Frontbefüllung der sich in ihrem kollabierten Zustand befindenden Kartusche 1 möglich, wobei durch das eingefüllte Medium die Kartusche 1 automatisch in ihren in Fig. 3 dargestellten expandierten Zustand überführt wird.
Fig. 4 zeigt eine Austragvorrichtung 17, in die die erfindungsgemässe Kartusche 1 einsetzbar ist. Die Austragvorrichtung 17 umfasst eine Zweikomponenten- Stützkartusche 18, an deren Stirnseite zwei Aufnahmeöffnungen 19, 20 für die Kartusche 1 ausgebildet sind. Wie in Fig. 5 dargestellt kann die Kartusche 1 mit ihren Kartuschenwänden 4, 5 soweit in die Aufnahmeöffnungen eingeschoben werden, bis das Kopfteil 6 an der Stirnseite der Stützkartusche 18 anliegt.
Anschliessend kann die Stützkartusche 18 zusammen mit der eingeschobenen Kartusche 1 um eine Schwenkachse 21 verschwenkt werden, so dass sie im Inne- ren eines Gehäuseabschnitts 22 der Austragvorrichtung 17 zu liegen kommt, wie es in Fig. 6 dargestellt ist. Der Schraubansatz 16 ragt dabei durch eine stirnseitige Öffnung 23 in dem Gehäuseabschnitt 22 hindurch, sodass zum Austragen des in den Aufnahmekammern 2, 3 vorhandenen Medium eine nicht dargestellte Mischerspitze auf den Schraubansatz 16 aufgeschraubt werden kann. Anschlies- send kann in an sich bekannter Weise durch wiederholtes Betätigen eines Betätigungshebels 24 ein Ratschenschieber 25, an dessen vorderen Ende zwei platten- förmige Vorschubkolben 26, 27 vorgesehen sind, in Richtung zu dem vorderen Ende der Austragvorrichtung 17 verschoben werden, wodurch die in den Aufnahmekammern 2, 3 vorhandene Füllmasse durch die Auslässe 13, 14 ausgetragen und anschliessend durch die Mischerspitze vermischt werden. Aus Fig. 7 ist in einem Schritt 1 "Herstellung" angedeutet, dass durch die Ausgestaltung der Kartuschenwand als Folie Herstellungskosten gegenüber einer Kartusche mit formstabiler Kartuschenwand deutlich eingespart werden können. Durch die Überführung der leeren Kartusche direkt nach ihrer Herstellung in ihren kollabierten Zustand wird der Platzbedarf gemäss Schritt 2 "Lagerung (leer)" um ca. 80% verringert, wodurch die Lagerkosten entsprechend reduziert werden. In entsprechender Weise werden beim Transport der leeren, kollabierten Kartuschen zu den Medienherstellern ca. 80% an Volumen und Gewicht eingespart, wie es in Schritt 3 "Transport (leer)" angedeutet ist. Erst beim anschliessenden Befüllen der Kartuschen (Schritt 4 "Befüllung") werden die Kartuschen wieder expandiert, so dass beim nachfolgenden Transport (Schritt 5 "Transport (befüllt)") lediglich eine 15%ige Gewichtsreduktion aufgrund der verwendeten Folie gegeben ist. Die nachfolgenden Schritte 6 "Lagerung (befüllt)" und 7 "Anwendung" erfolgen dann in bekannter Weise, während im Schritt 8 "Abfallentsorgung" wiederum eine ca. 80%ige Volumenreduktion gegenüber Kartuschen mit formstabiler Kartuschenwand besteht.

Patentansprüche
1. Kartusche (1) mit einer sich in Längsrichtung erstreckenden Aufnahmekammer (2, 3) für ein auszutragendes Medium mit einem Kopfteil (6) und einer Kartuschenwand (4, 5), welche die Aufnahmekammer (2, 3) begrenzen, wobei das Kopfteil (6) einen Auslass (13, 14) für das Medium aufweist, die Kartuschenwand (4, 5) zumindest bereichsweise als Folie und das Kopfteil (6) als formfestes Teil ausgestaltet sind und das Kopfteil (6) dichtend und insbesondere unlösbar mit der Kartuschenwand (4, 5) verbunden ist, wobei die Kartusche (1) als kollabierbare Kartusche (1) ausgebildet ist, d.h. dass sie von einem expandierten Zustand, in dem die Aufnahmekammer (2, 3) ein maximales Volumen besitzt, in einen kollabierten Zustand, in dem die Aufnahmekammer (3, 4) ein minimales Volumen besitzt, überführbar ist, dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass die noch nicht mit Medium befüllte Kartusche (1) sich in ihrem kollabierten Zustand befindet.
2. Kartusche nach Anspruch 1 ,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass im kollabierten Zustand der Kartusche (1) die Kartuschenwand (4, 5) in Längsrichtung der Aufnahmekammer (2, 3), insbesondere ziehharmonikaartig, zusammengeschoben ist.
3. Kartusche nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , dass der Platzbedarf der noch nicht befüllten Kartusche (1) im kollabierten Zustand nur 30% oder weniger, insbesondere nur 25% oder weniger, bevorzugt nur 20% oder weniger des Platzbedarfs der Kartusche (1 ) im expandierten Zustand beträgt.
Kartusche nach zumindest einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass der Platzbedarf der noch nicht befüllten Aufnahmekammer (2, 3) im kollabierten Zustand nur 30% oder weniger, insbesondere nur 25% oder weniger, bevorzugt nur 20% oder weniger des Platzbedarfs der Aufnahmekammer (2, 3) im expandierten Zustand beträgt.
Kartusche nach zumindest einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass die Kartusche (1) als Einkomponentenkartusche mit einer Aufnahmekammer oder als Mehrkomponentenkartusche mit mehreren Aufnahmekammern (2, 3), insbesondere als Zweikomponetenkartusche mit zwei Aufnahmekammern (2, 3), ausgebildet ist.
Kartusche nach Anspruch 5,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass im Falle einer Mehrkomponentenkartusche jeder Aufnahmekammer ein separates Kopfteil zugeordnet ist, dessen Auslass jeweils mit der ihm zugeordneten Aufnahmekammer in Fluidverbindung steht.
Kartusche nach Anspruch 5,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass im Falle einer Mehrkomponentenkartusche den Aufnahmekammern (2, 3) ein einheitliches gemeinsames Kopfteil (6) zugeordnet ist, wobei das Kopfteil (6) mehrere Auslässe (13, 14) aufweist, von denen jeweils einer in Fluidverbindung mit je einer Aufnahmekammer (2, 3) steht.
Kartusche nach zumindest einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass das Kopfteil (6) an die Kartuschenwand (4, 5) angespritzt ist und dass das von dem Kopfteil (6) entfernt liegende Ende (7, 8) der schlauchförmigen Kartuschenwand (4, 5) durch eine Crimp- oder Klemmverbindung dichtend abgeschlossen ist.
Verfahren zum Herstellen einer Kartusche nach zumindest einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass zum Erzeugen der Kartusche (1) in ihrem expandierten Zustand die Kartuschenwand (4, 5) dichtend und unlösbar mit dem Kopfteil (6) verbunden wird und dass nach dem Erzeugen der Kartusche (1) in ihrem expandierten Zustand die Kartuschenwand (4, 5) so zusammengeschoben wird, dass die Kartusche (1) in ihren kollabierten Zustand überführt wird, in dem die Aufnahmekammer (2, 3) ihr minimales Volumen besitzt.
Verfahren nach Anspruch 9,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass die noch nicht mit Medium befüllte Kartusche (1) in ihrem kollabierten Zustand gelagert und/oder zu einer Befüllvorrichtung transportiert wird.
Verfahren nach Anspruch 9 oder 10,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass vordem Zusammenschieben das von dem Kopfteil (6) entfernt liegende Ende (7, 8) der Kartuschenwand (4, 5) dichtend verschlossen wird.
12. Verfahren nach Anspruch 9, 10 oder 11 ,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass die Kartuschenwand (4, 5) in Längsrichtung der Aufnahnnekannnner (2, 3) zusammengeschoben wird.
13. Verfahren nach zumindest einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 12,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass in der Aufnahmekammer (2, 3) ein vordefinierter Druck erzeugt wird und das Zusammenschieben der Kartuschenwand (4, 5) gegen den Druck erfolgt.
14. Verfahren nach Anspruch 13,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass beim Zusammenschieben der Druck nach und nach abgebaut wird.
15. Verfahren nach Anspruch 14,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass der Druck so hoch gewählt wird, dass die Kartuschenwand (4, 5) beim Zusammenschieben im Wesentlichen ziehharmonikaartig zusammengefaltet wird.
16. Verfahren nach zumindest einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 15,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass zum Befüllen der Kartusche (1) das Medium durch den Auslass (13, 14) im Kopfteil (6) in die Aufnahmekammer (2, 3) eingefüllt wird.
17. Verfahren nach Anspruch 16,
dadurch g e k e n n z e i c h n e t ,
dass durch das Befüllen der Kartusche (1) die Kartuschenwand (4, 5) wieder auseinandergeschoben wird, so dass die Kartusche (1) von ihrem kol- labierten Zustand in einen teilexpandierten oder in ihren expandierten Zustand überführt wird.
