Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the technical field of electric hairdressing appliances. It relates more particularly to hair shaping devices, of the curling device type.
  • curling devices are known which are mostly curling/curling irons which comprise a handle connected to a heated mandrel and a tile mounted on a hinge making it possible to form a clamp with the heated mandrel.
  • actuating the clamp the user can grab a lock of hair and wrap it around the clamp by turning the entire device.
  • the heating chuck makes it possible to heat the wick and to carry out the shaping of this one.
  • the use of these devices proves to be unsatisfactory because the winding of the lock of hair is done manually. Thus, the formation of the curls is not sufficiently effective and the curls are hardly regular.
  • the rotating element used in this type of device is presented in the form of a disc with a cut section forming two hooks which force the seized wick to roll up at the same time in a front chamber and a rear chamber, this which means that the hair is subjected to tension throughout the winding and therefore risks being damaged.
  • the wick can easily get stuck in the winding chamber due to such “double winding” by the rotating element.
  • the object of the present invention is to remedy at least in part the aforementioned drawbacks and to propose a device for curling allowing effective treatment of the hair, while being easy and practical to use.
  • Another object of the invention is to avoid any jamming or tangling of the wick inside the winding chamber.
  • Another object of the invention is a device for curling making it possible to make regular curls without damaging the hair.
  • Another object of the invention aims to combine in an optimized manner, on a curling device, the efficiency and safety of operation in rotation.
  • Another object of the present invention aims to make it possible to create a curl by a curling device over substantially the entire length of the lock of hair without the risk of burning the scalp.
  • Another object of the present invention is to obviate the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide a curling device which makes it possible to wrap a lock of hair practically completely without reducing the effectiveness of the hairdressing device.
  • Another object of the invention is a so-called “winder” curling device capable of ensuring good ergonomics and comfortable use, while being reliable in operation.
  • Another object of the invention is a so-called “rewinder” curling device of simplified, compact structure that can be industrialized at low cost.
  • Yet another object of the invention is a device for curling which is capable of supplying heat in a safe or protective manner to the hair, without risking burning the hair and/or the scalp.
  • an apparatus for curling a lock of hair according to claim 1:
  • the fact of dividing the winding zone into an outer chamber and an inner chamber makes it possible to wind the lock of hair both around the mandrel and the winder.
  • Said winder surrounding the mandrel along its length has a larger winding diameter than that of the mandrel, which means that the hair wound around the winder is subjected to less tension. There is therefore little risk of damaging them.
  • the longitudinal shape of the mandrel and of the winder makes it possible to wind the lock of hair over relatively large surfaces, which avoids any possible jamming of hair.
  • the mandrel can take the form of a cylinder or a tapered frustum.
  • said mandrel has a cylindrical shape having an axis of revolution (R) and said inner winding chamber and the outer winding chamber are substantially concentric with said axis of revolution (R).
  • the lock of hair is then rolled up in winding chambers with regular space around the axis of revolution (R).
  • said hollow body has a cylindrical shape with an axis of revolution (R) and a constant diameter.
  • a reel having a cylindrical shape allows a smaller size of the device thanks to its constant diameter.
  • the distance (d1) of radial spacing between the hollow body and the mandrel is between 3 mm and 7 mm, preferably between 4 mm and 6 mm, for example 5 mm.
  • said hollow body comprises at least one part having the shape of a truncated cone of revolution with an axis of revolution (R) having a constricted end with respect to the mandrel and a flared end relative to the mandrel.
  • a winder having a conical truncated shape makes it possible to have both a volume available outside the cone for winding the wick in the outer winding chamber, and a sufficient volume inside the cone towards the front of the chuck for winding the bit in the inner winding chamber.
  • the radial spacing distance between the constricted end of the hollow body and the mandrel is between 2.5 and 4 mm, preferably between 3 and 3.5 mm, for example 3.2 .
  • the winder then takes on a conical appearance with a diameter at its base that is as tight as possible around the mandrel.
  • This diameter at the base of the cone is smaller than the diameter at the front which allows the bit to be wrapped as tightly as possible around the mandrel.
  • the angle of the cone is between 5° and 30°, preferably between 19° and 21°, more particularly 20°.
  • the ratio between the diameter of the constricted end c and the length of the cone d is between 0.78 and 0.82, preferably 0.801.
  • said hollow body has on its free end an opening intended to allow the lock of hair to pass towards the inner winding chamber.
  • the free end is understood to mean the end that is not connected directly in rotation with the drive means. This is the end intended to first come into contact with the lock of hair. Said free end is therefore arranged in the immediate vicinity of the introduction opening.
  • said opening is symmetrical with respect to a plane of symmetry (P) passing through the axis (R).
  • P plane of symmetry
  • R axis
  • said opening is arranged opposite the insertion opening in the rest position to more easily introduce the wick of hair to be curled and for it to be taken quickly by the winder.
  • the winder has at the front of the opening and at the edge of the hollow body at least one hook oriented protruding and extending towards the outside of the winder intended to catch a lock hair. Said hook is then arranged at the winding corner defined by the intersection of the edge of the free end and the opening. The hook protrudes from the outer surface of the retractor and is deviated towards the inside of the opening to better grasp the lock of hair.
  • the retractor has at the front of the opening and at the edge of the hollow body two hooks on either side, said hooks being arranged opposite each other and are symmetrical with respect to said plane of symmetry (P).
  • P plane of symmetry
  • the ratio between the distance between the ends of the hooks and the width of the introduction opening is between 2 and 3, preferably 2.67 so that the winding of the lock of hair is not hindered by slot.
  • the projection of the opening has substantially the shape of a semicircle.
  • the projection of the opening has the shape of an isosceles trapezium, the bases of which are orthogonal to the axis (R) with the small base at the front of the opening .
  • This arrangement offers the possibility of accumulating more hair at the bottom of the inner winding chamber. This pulls the section of hair towards the bottom of the winding chamber, so that it does not wind the hair at the open end, in which case the hair may "fall" off the chuck.
  • the ratio between the length of the large base of the trapezoid and the height of the trapezium is between 0.5 and 1.1, preferably 0.88 and the angle ( ⁇ ) of the large base is between 84° and 86°, preferably 85.4°.
  • the difference between the angle of the cone ( ⁇ ) and the angle of the large base ( ⁇ ) of the trapezium is between 60° and 70°, preferably 65.4°.
  • the hollow body has on the edge of the opening a bead extending towards the outside of the hollow body. It turns out that the edge of the opening in the hollow body cannot be too sharp otherwise it already deforms the lock of hair by bolduc effect during winding.
  • the bead on the edge of the opening makes it possible to create a rounding in contact with the wick and to avoid any untimely deformation of the latter.
  • the apparatus comprises a motor for driving the winder around the mandrel in at least one direction of rotation.
  • said motor is arranged in the housing of the device.
  • the apparatus comprises means for heating the winding chambers which are arranged in said mandrel.
  • the figure 1 illustrates a curling device 1 according to the invention comprising a gripping means 2, a box 10 at the end of the gripping means 2.
  • An electrical power cord 34 is provided for heating means 30 of the device or even also for a 31 engine.
  • the motor 31 makes it possible to drive via a transmission system 32 a reel 17 in rotation.
  • Said case 10 has in particular an opening 15 for introducing the wick to be curled, this opening here having the form of a slot which widens towards the outside of the device to help the ergonomics of use at the time of use. introduction of the wick.
  • the wick will be wound around a mandrel 12 and will be extracted from the device once the loop has been formed by an extraction opening 16 of the looped wick.
  • the gripping means 2 having the shape of a handle 2 comprises control elements, for example a switch 33' which can actuate the reel 17 in rotation, one or more adjustment buttons 33 in particular of setting the direction of rotation of the reel 17, the heating temperature of a winding zone 11, setting a timer or timer to warn the user that the loop is formed.
  • the timer is used to warn the user that the optimal heating time for the loop has ended and that he can extract the loop.
  • the timer is triggered during the rotation of the winder, at the start or at the end.
  • the gripping means are a single handle illustrated here but could alternatively be a set of two handles pivoting towards each other.
  • the picture 2 more particularly illustrates a perspective view of the apparatus according to the invention with the internal elements of its casing making it possible to understand the operation of the apparatus.
  • the housing 10 comprises a mandrel 12 having an axis of revolution (R) and an inner wall 13 substantially surrounding the mandrel 12.
  • the housing 10 further has an opening 15 for introducing the bit formed through the inner wall 13 and an extraction opening 16 of the loop formed through the inner wall 13 at the free end of the mandrel 12.

  • the device comprises in the inner wall 13 a rotating element called “winder” 17 allowing the winding of a lock of hair around the mandrel 12.
  • Said winder 17 has a driven end connected in rotation to a driver 18 and an end free 210 near the extraction opening 16.
  • Said coach 18 having a disc shape is driven in rotation by the motor 31 via the transmission system 32.
  • the picture 3 illustrates the interior of housing 10 from another angle.
  • Said inner wall 13 comprises a portion of cylinder 13' with a diameter large enough to surround both the mandrel 12 and the winder 17 while leaving a space with respect to the winder 17.
  • the winder 17 as illustrated at picture 3 comprises on the one hand a base 20 linked in rotation to the driver 18, and on the other hand a hollow body 21 having a surface of a body of revolution (conical surface at the picture 3 ) of a longitudinal curve in the direction of the mandrel.
