Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a ventilation system especially for clothing, such as everyday clothing, sportswear, technical clothing, etc ...
  • the invention is particularly suitable for ventilating sports and outdoor clothing and in particular clothing type sports jacket, windbreaker, winter sports jacket, but also pants, shorts, etc.
  • the material constituting the garment is waterproof, or at least windproof, it generally constitutes a barrier to the evaporation of moisture emitted by the body during physical exercise, so that clothing worn in underneath can become completely wet.
  • Aeration of such waterproof or windproof clothing can be improved by the use of so-called leak-proof materials, that is to say materials permeable to water vapor but not to condensed water (rain ). These clothes are however very fragile and very expensive. Moreover, their degree of aeration is limited to a given ratio of water vapor transmission which is not always sufficient for the user, and therefore humidity phenomena always occur.
  • Vents that can be opened or closed, more or less tight.
  • documents EP 1 428 441 or US 6,339,845 disclose a garment having an opening and means to keep the opening actually open to allow the entry of air, especially when the user is not moving.
  • the opening is made by slots whose edges deviate from one another in the same plane. The edges remain pressed against the body.
  • Aeration of these garments is increased when the user is in motion and / or exposed to the wind.
  • the opening then makes it possible to capture a flow of air normal to the plane of the opening.
  • the efficiency of ventilation is particularly related to the location of these openings. Thus, when the wind or the direction of movement is substantially tangent to the opening, ventilation is not good, the air enters little inside the garment.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide an improved garment ventilation system.
  • One goal is to increase the air intake for specific locations openings.
  • Another goal is to capture and channel a flow of air close to the garment.
  • the invention provides an article of clothing according to claim 1.
  • the article is characterized in that it comprises adjusting means for modifying the position of the first end of the first edge with respect to the first end of the second edge, so that the first edge deforms in projection relative to at the second edge, the first edge defining, when deformed, an inlet of an air duct.
  • this construction allows to create an air duct improving the air intake for ventilation of the garment.
  • the first edge By deforming projecting from the second edge, the first edge generates an orifice in a plane different from the local tangent plane to the garment at the second edge.
  • this orifice makes it possible to capture a flow of air substantially tangential to the first layer, at the level of the second edge. For example, if the opening is at the flanks or shoulders, by deviating laterally or upwards, the first edge will create an orifice for capturing a frontal flow of air but also a flow of air flowing around the garment.
  • the air flow thus captured can then be directed via the air duct to a ventilation system and more particularly aeration of the user's thermogenic zones, for example, the armpits or the back for a jacket.
  • FIGS. 2 and 6 show a partial cutout of the guide panel forming the air duct, to show elements of the adjustment means.
  • the figure 1 illustrates the invention applied to a jacket and ski pants.
  • the invention is not limited to winter sportswear and can be transposed to a hiking, running, cycling, motorcycle riding, free flying, windsurfing .
  • the garment may be intended to cover the upper or lower part of the body of the user. For example, it can be a jacket, a T-shirt, pants, shorts, a suit.
  • the article of clothing 1 comprises at least a first outer layer 2 which can be of different natures. It can be a knit, a laminated panel, a fabric, a fabric, a membrane, a film, a non-woven panel.
  • This first layer 2 is preferably made of a material having waterproof and / or windproof properties.
  • the garment To ventilate the garment, that is to say, to bring air inside the first layer, the garment comprises an opening 3 defined by a first and second edge 10, 20.
  • Each edge 10, 20 is respectively delimited by a first and second ends 11, 12 and 21, 22. It is through this opening 3 that the air will pass to penetrate inside the first layer 2.
  • the opening 3 can be opened or closed, depending on whether the two edges 10, 20 are spaced apart or brought together.
  • the article of clothing 1 comprises adjustment means 30 making it possible to modify the position of the first end 11 of the first edge 10 with respect to the first end 21 of the second edge 20 so that the first edge deforms in projection relative to the second edge.
  • the first edge thus deviates from the portion of the first layer located at the second edge.
  • the first edge deforms protruding outwardly with respect to the second edge.
  • this type of ventilation opening opens substantially in the same plane corresponding to the tangent plane locally to the first layer at the opening.
  • This plane may be slightly curved because it corresponds to a portion of the envelope surface of the first layer.
  • the first layer forms a "left" plane, in 3D, adapting to the volume of the body.
  • the two edges when they move apart to open the opening, remain close to the body of the user and the opening remains generally in the "left” plane.
  • the two edges are substantially equidistant from the part of the body covered by the garment. Both edges remain included in the equidistant surface enveloping the body part.
  • the adjustment means 30 makes it possible to deform the first edge 10 in a deformation plane D other than the tangential plane T, as illustrated in FIG. figure 4 .
  • the first edge 10 deforms protruding outwardly.
  • a portion of the first edge will deviate from the body and thus from the tangent plane T.
  • the first edge will deform in a deformation plane D substantially perpendicular to the tangent plane T.
  • the angle of inclination ⁇ is preferably greater than 45 °.
  • the second edge 20 remains in the tangential plane T and therefore remains substantially at the same distance from the body.
  • the first edge 10 deforms projecting relative to the second edge 20 when the first edge deviates from the tangential plane T or, in other words, a substantially equidistant surface enveloping the body part.
  • the deformation of the first edge 10 is then "volume", in a direction other than the tangent plane T.
  • a third dimension is added to the air duct, hence the notion of 3D deformation.
  • the first edge deviates from this tangential plane T, away from the body. Alternatively, it can deviate from this tangent plane T closer to the body, this embodiment is not shown.
  • the first edge 10 When the first edge 10 is deformed in the deformation plane D, the first edge will conform to create a curve.
  • the curve may be an arc of a circle, a shape of "V", a succession of linear segments, an accordion or a sinusoid ...
  • the ends of the curve remain substantially in the tangent plane T.
  • we will bring the ends 11, 12 of the first edge 10 closer together in the tangential plane T. This bringing about causes the deformation of the first edge because the length of the first edge is greater than the distance separating the two ends 11, 12 of the first edge in the plane tangent T.
  • the first deformed edge 10 forms with a portion of the first layer 2, an inlet 41 of an air duct 40 for bringing a flow of air into the garment.
  • this inlet 41 is not in a tangential plane T but in a plane D inclined with respect to this tangential plane T.
  • the inlet 41 makes it possible to capture more air and to facilitate locally the evacuation of hot air.
  • the inlet 41 is delimited by the first edge 10 and by a portion of the first layer 2 which may correspond, in some embodiments, to a portion of the second edge 20.
  • the deformation of the first edge may be provided so that it is in a plane receiving a maximum of air during the movements of the user.
  • the deformation plane D can be "left".
  • This reinforcement 13 may be a strip of foam, a flexible plastic bar, a hem ... It may be discontinuous. This reinforcement helps the conformation of the first edge according to a determined curve. The deformation of the edge is then controlled and can be balanced / symmetrical, which allows to have an optimum air inlet 41 having a large opening area.
  • the aperture 3 can at least take two configurations.
  • the first configuration is the closed configuration.
  • the two edges 10, 20, having substantially the same length are substantially side by side to be in contact.
  • the first layer has a continuity at the opening which limits or prevents the entry of air into the garment.
  • the second configuration is the open configuration. This is the arrangement described above.
  • the first edge 10 deviates from the tangential plane T, projecting outwards, to form the inlet 41 of the air duct 40. A flow of air can then penetrate under the first layer 2 of the garment.
  • the first end 11 of the first edge 10 is movable relative to the first end 21 of the second edge 20, as can be seen in these illustrated embodiments.
  • the air duct 40 when the opening 3 is in its open configuration, the air duct 40 is created.
  • This air duct 40 comprises the inlet 41 and a guide panel 42 supporting the first edge 10.
  • the guide panel 42 corresponds to a portion of the first layer 2.
  • This air duct 40 forms a kind of half-funnel for guiding the captured air flow through the inlet 41 to an area of the garment that is desired to ventilate.
  • the guide panel 42 In order for the air to be effectively directed towards the inside of the garment, the guide panel 42 must be connected to the first layer 2 in a manner that is almost continuous from the inlet 41 of the air duct 40. rushes into the duct does not stand out.
  • the guide panel 42 comprises at least one connecting element 43 to the first layer 2 so as to allow relative movement between the guiding panel 42 and the first layer 2. • the connecting element 43 is in the form of a bellows and / or a local recess.
  • the bellows is formed by a connection between a border of the guide panel 42 and the first layer 2.

  • the opening 3 is closed.
  • the zipper 31 then provides a seal whose effectiveness depends on the type of zipper used, the covering by the hem of the first edge 10 and the orientation of the opening relative to the direction of wind, rain or snow.
  • the opening 3 is open and the air duct 40 is formed.
  • a reinforcing member 13 here a foam, is incorporated in a hem for covering the zipper when closed.
