A suction nozzle with the features described above is universally applicable to hard floors and textile floor surfaces. However, a good cleaning result on different floor surfaces requires that a high flow speed of the intake air be established at the suction mouth edges. This condition can be easily met if the suction nozzle is operated together with a powerful suction device, which has a suction fan with an electrical power consumption of more than 1000 watts. If a suction device is used with a less efficient suction fan, this can lead to a significant deterioration of the suction properties of the nozzle. The deterioration of the suction properties on hard floors is particularly pronounced when the suction nozzle, in conjunction with a low-performance suction unit, both for sucking smooth floor surfaces as well as for sucking tiled floor surfaces is used. Tiled floor surfaces are hard floors that are penetrated by joints.
Against this background, the invention has for its object to provide a universal on both textile floor surfaces as well as on hard floors suction nozzle for vacuum cleaner, which in operation with a suction device, which has a suction fan with an electrical power consumption of less than 900 watts, both on grooved or uneven hard floors as well as on smooth hard floor surfaces has good suction properties and absorbs dry, finely divided dirt particles well.
The object of the invention and solution of this problem is the use of a connectable to a vacuum cleaner vacuum cleaner according to claim 1.
The invention relates to a suction nozzle for vacuum cleaner with the features described above. The suction nozzle has at least one supporting sealing element, which is fastened to a vertically adjustable support. In the functional position for cleaning hard floors, the load-bearing sealing element is lowered and supports the suction head on the hard floor surface, so that a gap between the suction mouth edges of the hard floor surface is established. According to the invention, the gap between the suction mouth edges and the hard bottom surface is adjustable between two default values which are set differently for a tiled floor surface and for an unsuitable smooth floor surface. The default values are adapted to different types of hard floor surfaces. It is important to ensure that at each type of soil at the suction mouth edges sets a high flow rate. In the case of a tiled floor surface, the joints form depressions, so that the distance to the suction mouth edge is greater than the distance between them Suction mouth edge and the tile surface. As a result, the flow velocity of the incoming air at the suction mouth edge in the region of a joint decreases. In order to ensure the dissolution of dirt particles and the entrainment of dirt particles in the suction air flow in the joints, a lesser distance of Saugmundkanten from the bottom surface is desirable in comparison to smooth floor surfaces. In the functional position for tiled floor surfaces, the suction nozzle with similarly good suction properties can also be used on other uneven hard floor surfaces.
The vertical adjustment of the carrier may be a linear lifting movement or a pivoting movement with a vertical movement component.
The invention requires that the supporting sealing element for sucking hard floor surfaces on the underside of the suction nozzle further protrudes than the Saugmundkanten. According to the invention, the gap between the suction mouth edges and the hard bottom surface is adjusted between two differently set default values, depending on the structure of the hard bottom surface. The ground clearance is either adjustable by a vertical adjustment of the bearing sealing element or by a vertical adjustment of Saugmundkanten. The measures described can also be combined. According to the invention for sucking tiled floor surfaces or uneven hard floor surfaces by a vertical adjustment of the supporting sealing element or Saugmundkanten a smaller gap between the Saugmundkanten and the hard bottom surface is set as for sucking unguarded smooth floors.
For the structural design of the suction nozzle according to the invention results in a plurality of possibilities. A first embodiment provides that at the suction nozzle only one switching element is provided and that the switching element has three functional positions for sucking a textile bottom surface, a tiled bottom surface and an unguided smooth bottom. According to a second preferred embodiment of the invention, the sliding sole is arranged vertically adjustable and is provided for adjusting the sliding sole an adjusting device with a selector switch for correcting the position of the sole between a smooth bottom position and a functional position for tiled bottom surfaces. Furthermore, there is the possibility that the sliding sole has adjustable suction mouth edges and that an adjusting device is provided for adjusting the suction mouth edges, which has a selector switch with a first functional position for smooth floors and with a second functional position for tiled floor surfaces. In this case, the adjusting device expediently on a device which sets a long travel of the selector switch in a short travel of an acting on the sliding sole or Saugmundkanten actuator.
By actuating the accessible at the suction head switching element, which allows a vertical adjustment of the carrier between two functional positions, a switching of the suction nozzle for sucking textile floor surfaces and for sucking hard floors is possible. When vacuuming hard floors, the suction head of the suction nozzle is supported on the support and sealing elements, with a gap between the suction mouth edges and the bottom surface. This gap is changed by actuation of the switching element or by actuation of a device equipped with a selector switch actuator, the change in the gap distance of the type of hard floor surface takes into account. When vacuuming textile floor surfaces, the load-bearing sealing element is lifted so far that the sliding sole rests on the textile floor surface and immerse the suction mouth edges in the pile of the textile floor covering. The suction air flows through the textile fibers of the floor covering and then flows at a high flow rate at the bottom of Saugmundkanten in the suction slot.
On the support preferably two supporting sealing elements are fixed, which are arranged in the suction direction in front of and behind the suction mouth. The supporting sealing elements may be formed in particular as a bristle strip. The arrangement expediently comprises a front strip provided with bottom-side openings. The front strip may be formed as a bristle strip or consists for example of a foam material, wherein on the underside notches are provided for the entry of suction. The use of a rubber lip as a front strip is possible.
