Description
The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner floor nozzle with a housing that extends in a working direction and perpendicularly thereto in the transverse direction and a suction mouth that is arranged on the underside of the housing and can be connected to a suction air duct. The suction mouth extends in the transverse direction over a width and is delimited in the working direction by a front suction mouth edge and a rear suction mouth edge.
Vacuum cleaner floor nozzles are used to shape and direct the suction air flow of a vacuum cleaner. The cleaning properties of a vacuum cleaner system are significantly influenced by the design of the vacuum cleaner floor nozzle. The widths of the gaps through which a suction air stream entering the vacuum cleaner is guided along the surface to be cleaned are thus determined by the geometric design of a vacuum cleaner floor nozzle. This results in very specific flow and vacuum conditions, on which the cleaning success largely depends. The geometry of vacuum cleaner floor nozzles is therefore constantly being optimized in order to improve the cleaning result on smooth and carpeted floors.
A further challenge in the design of vacuum cleaner floor nozzles lies in the suction of coarse dirt. These are particularly large particles, which cannot pass through the gaps provided with the suction air flow and cannot be transported through textile floor coverings. There is often the problem that coarse dirt particles are pushed in front of the vacuum cleaner floor nozzle without getting into the effective suction air flow. In addition to the insufficient cleaning effect, there is also the risk that the coarse dirt damaged the floor surface. The bristle strips for switching between smooth floor and carpeted floor position and the front edge of the suction nozzle act as an obstacle to coarse dirt entering the interior of the vacuum cleaner floor nozzle.
With regard to the adjustable bristle strips, solutions are already known. For example, adjustable openings can be provided therein, which allow coarse dirt to pass through. Alternatively or additionally, additional support elements can also be attached for smooth floors, which can also lift the bristle strips. Both approaches cannot be transferred to carpets. In carpet operation, the bristle strips are retracted, so that the vacuum cleaner floor nozzle rests directly on the textile floor material with its underside designed as a sliding sole. A lifting of the housing - also by means of additional support elements - is therefore prohibited. Also, for effective support on elastic carpets, large-area support elements would have to be provided, which in turn could impede both the suction air flow and the entry of coarse dirt into the vacuum cleaner floor nozzle.

Against this background, the invention is based on the object of improving the suction of coarse dirt on carpeted floors without impairing the suction properties with regard to finer dirt particles.
The object of the invention and the solution to this problem is a vacuum cleaner nozzle according to patent claim 1.
According to the invention, starting from the generic vacuum cleaner floor nozzle, a slide-on surface extends in the working direction in front of the front edge of the suction mouth, which slides across at least 75% of the width of the suction mouth in the transverse direction. In longitudinal section, the slide-on surface has a circular arc segment with a radius of curvature of between 40 mm and 80 mm. The slide-on surface has an extension of at least 15 mm in the working direction. Within the framework of the parameter selection according to the invention, it is possible to ensure an equally good suction result on carpet floors for coarse dirt particles on the floor surface and also for finer dust particles embedded in the carpet. The profiling according to the invention of the front sliding-on area means that the front edge of the suction mouth rests on the carpeted floor. As a result of the circular arc shape, the soleplate is almost flat in the immediate vicinity of the front edge of the suction mouth, with slight differences in height. At the same time, the already beginning rounding of the circular arc concentrates the contact forces and thus the system impeding the suction air flow on the immediate area of the suction mouth edge. In front of it, the even curvature of the circular arc forms a sliding surface with which the vacuum cleaner nozzle can also slide onto larger dirt particles without pushing them in front of it. The coarse dirt particles can thus be run over and thus get into the suction air flow within the suction mouth. In addition, a coarse dirt particle gets into the increasingly narrow gap between the sliding surface and the floor covering in the phase in which the vacuum cleaner nozzle slides on it. An inflow of the suction air stream can also be observed in this gap, which gains speed the closer it gets to the edge of the suction mouth. As a result, the coarse dirt particles are additionally Directed towards the edge of the suction mouth and simplifies gliding on. This is also known as the "funnel effect".
To enhance the funnel effect, the suction mouth is preferably closed all around. Thus, when the vacuum cleaner nozzle rests on the floor covering, the suction air flow can enter the suction mouth exclusively via the edges of the suction mouth.
In a preferred embodiment, the circular arc segment has a radius of curvature of at least 50 mm, particularly preferably between 60 and 70 mm, in particular approximately 65 mm. In the context of the present invention, it has been shown that the special effect of the circular arc-shaped front sliding surface is particularly pronounced in the preferred parameter ranges. If the radius of curvature is too small, there is a sharp transition, so that coarse dirt particles are pushed in front of the vacuum cleaner nozzle without being changed. Too little curvature on the other side is also impractical, since the front sliding surface is very long to create a sufficient difference in height and, on the other hand, an air flow between the sliding surface and the floor covering is prevented.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the slightly curved slide-on surface is provided with a particularly large extent in the working direction. Preferably, at least 20 mm, in particular about 22 mm, is advantageous here. This means that even very coarse-grained dirt can be guaranteed to slide on. The frictional resistance that occurs here is compensated by the effect of the air flow coming from the front (funnel effect). In a particularly preferred embodiment, there is a height difference of at the front end of the sliding surface in the working direction at least 2.5 mm from the front edge of the suction mouth. As a result, the sliding surface is particularly well adapted to collecting coarse dirt particles of this diameter, for example grains of sand, smaller pebbles or breadcrumbs.
According to the invention, a plateau is arranged between the front edge of the suction mouth and the slide-on surface, which has an extension of between 2 mm and 5 mm in the working direction. The sealing of the suction mouth and thus the negative pressure prevailing therein can be increased by the suction plateau. This allows better deep cleaning to be achieved.
A thread lifter is expediently arranged within the slide-on surface. The thread lifter is aligned horizontally and is set back within the contour of the slide-on surface. The thread lifter has a textile material, in particular a diagonal bristle velor. Threads of the textile material can protrude downwards over the contour of the slide-on surface. Using the thread lifting strip, threads and hair lying on the carpet material can be lifted so that they get into the air currents and at the same time lose their grip on the ground.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the slide-on surface exclusively has an underside that is arc-shaped in longitudinal section. The invention is based on the essential knowledge that the circular arc shape combines very good properties in terms of sliding behavior with the funnel effect.
Alternatively, the slide-on surface can have an area that is linear in longitudinal section at its front end facing away from the front edge of the suction mouth. In In the linear area, the slide-on surface is not curved, so that the slide-on angle is constant there and does not increase any further.
Particularly preferably, the tangent of the circular arc segment runs in the horizontal direction at the rear end of the slide-on surface facing the front edge of the suction mouth.
Within the scope of the invention, the slide-on surface can in particular partially have the shape of a cylinder jacket. This is particularly the case when the trailing end of the ride-on surface is in line in the transverse direction and the radius of curvature of the ride-on surface is constant throughout.
