Definitions
- the invention relates to a decanter for wines with a receiving space for the wine and a spout connected to it.
- Decanters mainly consist of the material glass and are used in older wines in particular to clear them of any deposits. In the case of younger wines, decanting is primarily intended to promote oxygenation in the wine, which opens up the multi-layered structures of the wine and releases aromas and flavors.
- Conventional decanters usually have a bulbous receiving space for the wine, which is followed by a pouring spout. After pouring the wine into the decanter, it should remain switched off so that the wine can rest for a while. After this time, the user takes the decanter and pours the wine over the pouring spout into the wine glass provided.
- the known decanters even if they have different, sometimes even artistic forms, have a single task, namely to aerate the wine and thereby open it to increase the enjoyment of drinking.
- the invention has set itself the goal of creating a decanter with which one can not only decant, but also perform a completely different activity. So it should be possible to use the decanter as a unique musical instrument, when playing, guests can be acknowledged.
- This object on which the invention is based is achieved in that a decanter of the type mentioned at the beginning can be used as a musical instrument with which the tones of the natural tone series can be produced, the decanter having a glass body which has a base area and consisting of a receiving space for the wine, an attached upward spout, and an approximately tangentially protruding leadpipe, which extends approximately parallel to the base, the glass body has the shape of a posthorn, with an approximately circularly curved body, the spout being the bell, the bell without a bell is, and wherein the spout designed as a bell is expanded downward to form the receiving space for the wine and is then narrowed down to the mouthpiece receiving mouthpiece.
- Horns regardless of whether they are post horns, hunting horns, brass band horns etc., have an approximately circularly curved tube with a tangentially protruding mouth tube for receiving the mouthpiece and bell, whereby this tube can be changed in length when using valves while making music.
- Modern horns are brass instruments. The oldest horns go back to snail and shell casings, long bones, animal horns and wood.
- the spout designed as a bell is expanded downward to form the receiving space for the wine and then a mouthpiece receiving mouthpiece is also narrowed.
- the decanter according to the invention has the shape of a horn, for example a post horn, with an approximately circularly curved body 1 from which a leadpipe 2 protrudes approximately tangentially.
- the mouth pipe 2 is provided with a mouthpiece 3.
- the mouth tube 2 and mouthpiece 3 are in one piece, that is to say they are produced in one operation.
- a spout 4 protrudes from the body 1 and also serves to fill the wine.
- the spout 4 is extended downwards to form the receiving space 5 for the wine. Subsequently, it is narrowed down to the mouth tube 2 receiving the mouthpiece 3.
- the spout 4 serves as a bell of the horn. Since the decanter according to the invention is not provided with any valves, the tones of the natural tone series can be generated with it as a natural horn.
- these tones are also melodic, as are the signal melodies generated by the Postillion via the Posthorn, usually consisting of the third, fourth, fifth and sixth natural tones.
- the decanter can be seen, which has the shape of a post horn, with an approximately circularly curved body 1.
- the spout 4 serves as a bell of the horn, as already described above.

Description
Fig. 2 die Ansicht des gegenständlichen Dekanters.
