Description

  • Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Behandlung einer Oberfläche aus Aluminium oder einer Aluminiumlegierung mittels eines nasschemischen Verfahrens, wobei man die Oberfläche aus Aluminium oder der Aluminiumlegierung vorbehandelt, anodisch oxidiert, spült und heißverdichtet.
  • Wenn im Folgenden der Begriff "Aluminium" verwendet wird, so steht erfindungsgemäß dieser synonym auch für Aluminiumlegierungen. Aluminiumlegierungen entstehen bekanntermaßen durch Legieren von Aluminium mit anderen Metallen, beispielsweise Mangan, Magnesium, Kupfer, Silizium, Nickel, Zink und Berrillium. Als Ausgangsmaterial für die Legierungen dient in den meisten Fällen Al99,5 (Reinaluminium).
  • EP 1 407 935 A1 und die damit verbundene Patentfamilie beschreibt ein Verfahren zum Aufbringen eines dünnkeramischen Beschichtungsmaterials auf eine zu beschichtende, aus Aluminium bestehende Oberfläche eines Kraftfahrzeug-Anbauteils, wobei das Aluminium vor dem Beschichten eloxiert, und durch den Eloxiervorgang eine Rauhigkeit der zu beschichtenden Oberfläche für ein Anhaften des Beschichtungsmaterials erzielt wird. Dann wird das dünnkeramische, sich aus ausschließlich anorganischen Bestandteilen zusammensetzende Beschichtungsmaterial mit Hilfe eines elektrostatischen Auftragverfahrens oder mittels eines nasschemischen Auftragsverfahrens mit nahezu konstanter Schichtdicke als Beschichtung mit porenfreier und geschlossener Oberfläche aufgebracht.
  • Dieser technischen Lehre liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, die Qualität von bekannten dünnkeramischen Beschichtungen zu verbessern. Insbesondere soll ein Verfahren angegeben werden, das eine kostengünstige Herstellung von qualitativ hochwertigen dünnkeramischen Beschichtungen ermöglicht. Außerdem sollen Teile oder Gegenstände geschaffen werden, die eine qualitativ hochwertige dünnkeramische Beschichtung aufweisen und kostengünstig herstellbar sind. Wesentlich ist weiterhin, dass die dünnkeramische Beschichtung ausschließlich aus anorganischen Bestandteilen besteht. Die Beschreibung des Verfahrens endet mit dem Aufbringen der Beschichtung auf der Aluminiumoberfläche.
  • WO 2009/068168 A1 und die damit verbundene Patentfamilie beschreibt ein Bauteil aus Aluminium und/oder einer Aluminiumlegierung, insbesondere ein Zier- oder Funktionsteil, mit einer sehr hohen Korrosionsbeständigkeit sowie ein Verfahren zu dessen Herstellung. Die Konversionsschicht soll im Verlauf von wenigstens 3 min/µm Schichtdicke verdichtet werden. Die hohe Korrosionsbeständigkeit, insbesondere eine hohe Alkaliresistenz, soll dadurch erzielt werden, dass die Oberfläche des Bauteils eine gleichmäßig durch Anodisation erzeugte Oxidschicht und eine die poröse Oxidschicht verschließende und gleichmäßig abdeckende Deckschicht aufweist. Die Deckschicht wird dabei durch eine die Poren der Oxidschicht verschließende Oxidschicht-Hydratverbindung sowie durch einen zusätzlichen Einbau von glasartigen Substanzen und einem gleichzeitigen Aufbau derselben auf der Oxidschicht erzeugt. Als glasartige Substanzen wird eine Verbindung eines oder mehrerer Alkalisilikate vorgeschlagen. Alternativ kann die Deckschicht auch ausschließlich Aluminiumoxide und/oder Aluminiumhydrate und/oder Aluminiumoxidhydrate und/oder Alkalisilikate und/oderAlumosilikate umfassen.
  • In der WO 2011/020556 A2 und der damit verbundenen Patentfamilie wird ebenfalls ein Form- und/oder Strukturteil aus Aluminium oder einer Aluminiumlegierung sowie ein Verfahren zu deren Oberflächenschutz beschrieben. Hierbei wird unmittelbar auf die Oberfläche aus Aluminium bzw. der Aluminiumlegierung - ohne Eloxalschicht - eine, aus einem Sol-Gel-System geschaffene Korrosionsschutzschicht aufgebracht, die in einer optimierten, das heißt verkürzten Prozessabfolge durch eine integrierte Härtung bzw. Trocknung erzeugt werden soll.
  • Auch in der EP 2 328 183 A1 und der damit verbundenen Patentfamilie wird auf eine Eloxalschicht verzichtet. Bei einem Substrat mit einer Metallfolie zur Herstellung von Photovoltaik-Zellen ist eine erste Seite der Metallfolie zur Anordnung einer Photovoltaik-Absorberschicht vorgesehen. Zu Verbesserung der chemischen Beständigkeit und des Korrosionswiderstandes bei erhöhter Temperatur ist auf der zweiten Seite der Metallfolie eine Schutzschicht aus einem Silizium-basierten Sol-Gel-Lack angeordnet.
  • In EP 1 306 467 A1 wird eine mit einem thermoplastischen Harz beschichtete Aluminiumplatte beschrieben, wobei die Aluminiumplatte mittels einer Vorbehandlung eine wenig poröse (semi-non-porous) Konversionsschicht trägt. Der Begriff der "semi-non-porous"-Schicht wird in [0012] dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Verhältnis (genannt Porosität) der freien Flächen der Poren, die in der Konversionsschicht auf der Oberfläche der Aluminiumplatte vorhanden sind, zu der Gesamtfläche des anodisierten Films 30 % oder weniger beträgt. Wenn die Porosität 5 % oder weniger beträgt, ist danach der Film als praktisch nicht porös anzusehen. Die Dicke dieser Schicht kann im Bereich von 50 bis 3000 Å (5 bis 300 nm) liegen. Die Konversionsschicht wird gemäß [0031] mit einem Polymer beschichtet, das Silizium enthält. Dieses Polymer weist entsprechende thermoplastische Eigenschaften auf und wird aus verschiedenen Silanen oder Siloxanen als Vorstufe hergestellt.
  • JP 06316787 A beschreibt die Anodisierung einer Aluminiumoberfläche durch Eintauchen in eine Wasser-enthaltende alkoholische HCl-Lösung, die eine geringe Menge (<2 Gewichtsprozent) eines Alkoxysilans enthält. Hierbei wird eine vollverdichtete Konversionsschicht erhalten.
  • JP 60-179475 A beschreibt die Bildung einer Konversionsschicht auf Aluminiumoberflächen durch Anwendung einer anorganischen Farbe, die ein Organosilikon-Hochkondensat enthält, welches jedoch keine Silanolgruppen aufweist. Dieses wird auf eine in üblicher Art und Weise anodisierte Aluminiumoberfläche aufgebracht.
  • EP 1 780 313 A2 betrifft einen Gegenstand, der ein Substrat mit einer Aluminium- oder Aluminiumlegierungsoberfläche umfasst, eine versiegelnde anodische Beschichtung, die sich auf wenigstens einem Teil des Substrats befindet und eine Schicht eines Silikon-enthaltenden Polymers, die sich auf der anodischen Versiegelungsschicht befindet. Gemäß der Beschreibung erfolgt die Beschichtung direkt mit dem Polymer oder aber auch einer wässrigen Lösung eines Silans ohne Durchführung einer Kalt- oder Heißversiegelung direkt im Anschluss an die Herstellung der Konversionsschicht. So wird dies auch im Ausführungsbeispiel 1 dargestellt. Hier wird jedoch Bezug genommen auf die Militär Spezifikation des US-Verteidigungsministeriums (MIL-A-8625F), nach der jedoch eine Vollverdichtung bei einer Dauer von wenigstens 15 Minuten (S. 7, Punkt 3.8.1 und 3.8.1.1) unabhängig von der Schichtdicke vorgeschrieben ist. Die aufgebrachte Polymerbeschichtung soll bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von 10 bis 100 °C getrocknet werden.
  • JP 2002 069 696 A offenbart ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer anodisch oxidierten Oberfläche einer Aluminium-Legierung mittels eines nasschemischen Verfahrens, bei dem zunächst durch Anodisierung einer Oberfläche einer Aluminium-Legierung eine Konversionsschicht einer Schichtdicke von 0,1 bis 20 µm erzeugt wird.
  • US 2009/0202845 A1 beschreibt eine antimikrobielle anodisierte Aluminiumschicht und entsprechende Methoden zur Herstellung.
  • EP 1 306 467 A1 beschreibt eine Aluminiumplatte mit einer thermoplastischen Harzbeschichtung und so hergestellte Gegenstände.
  • Im Kraftfahrzeugbereich sind eine Reihe von Zierteilen vorhanden, die aus Aluminium oder Aluminiumlegierungsoberflächen gefertigt sind. So beschreibt die WO 2009/068168 , dass die dekorativen Oberflächen durch Polieren oder Glanzeloxieren erhalten werden. Aus dieser Schrift sind auch die am häufigsten verwendeten Aluminiummaterialien bekannt, die im Kraftfahrzeugsektor eingesetzt werden. Hierbei handelt es sich neben Reinaluminium auch um Aluminiumlegieren mit den Werkstoffkurzzeichen Al99,85 MgSi oder AlMg0,5 oder auch 0,8. Von den Automobilherstellern wird eine Alkalibeständigkeit von wenigstens 11,5 erwartet, für bestimmte Bauteile sogar Beständigkeiten bis zu 13,5.
  • Entsprechende Alkalibeständigkeiten und weitere Eigenschaften von Aluminiumoberflächen sind unter anderem von dem Hersteller Volkswagen AG in der internen, jedoch öffentlich zugänglichen Bauteilanforderung TL182 (Ausgabe 2011-01) "Anorganische Schutzschicht auf Aluminiumteilen" vorgegeben.
  • Die Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung steht in der Bereitstellung eines weiteren Verfahrens zur Herstellung von Bauteilen aus Aluminium oder einer Aluminiumlegierung mit verbesserter Korrosionsbeständigkeit, die insbesondere eine Alkaliresistenz bis zu pH-Werten von 13,5 erreichen, ohne dass die sonstigen positiven Eigenschaften einer Eloxaloberfläche, wie zum Beispiel ihre Korrosionsresistenz gegenüber Salz- und Säure-Belastung, ihrer Witterungs- und Kratzbeständigkeit, negativ verändert werden.
  • Die Lösung der vorgenannten Aufgabe besteht in einem wesentlichen Verfahrensschritt der Heißverdichtung einer anodisch oxidierten Oberfläche aus Aluminium oder einer Aluminium-Legierung. Nach einem an sich üblichen Eloxierverfahren aus Vorbehandlung, anodischer Oxidation und Spülen wird die anodisch oxidierte Oberfläche nur teilweise heiß verdichtet, so dass eine hohe Porosität der Oberfläche erhalten bleibt. Anschließend wird diese Oberfläche mit einem siliziumorganischen Netzwerkbildner enthaltenden Material in Kontakt gebracht, und anschließend bei einer Temperatur von bis zu 250 °C gehärtet. Eine zu hohe Temperatur der Härtung bewirkt unter Umständen Verfärbungen oder Ablösungen der Aluminiumoberfläche, die vom Abnehmer des Bauteils mit dem Aluminium oder der Aluminiumlegierung nicht akzeptiert wird.
  • Gegenstand der Erfindung ist in einer ersten Ausführungsform ein Verfahren zur Behandlung einer Oberfläche aus Aluminium oder einer Aluminium-Legierung mittels eines nasschemischen Verfahrens nach Anspruch 1.
  • Erfindungsgemäß hergestellte Bauteile wurden einer Salznebelprüfung nach DIN EN ISO 9227 unterzogen. Hierbei handelt es sich um einen 480 h Salzsprühnebel-Test (NSS) nach DIN EN ISO 9227 NSS sowie einen 48 h CASS-Test nach DIN EN ISO 9227 CASS. Die Anforderung an das Bauteil besteht darin, dass keine optische Veränderung zum Anlieferungszustand erkennbar sein darf, auch wird keine Ablösung der Schutzschicht und keine Korrosion auf der A-Sichtfläche und B-Sichtfläche des Bauteils akzeptiert. Die erfindungsgemäß erhältlichen Bauteile wiesen keine optische Veränderung, insbesondere keine Weißfärbung, gegenüber dem Anlieferungszustand auf.
  • In einem weiteren Säure-Wärme-Alkalibeständigkeits-Test (SWA-Beständigkeit) wurde die Alkaliresistenz getestet. Die Abfolge dieses Verfahrens besteht in einem 10minütigen Tauchen des Bauteils in einer wässrigen Lösung mit einem pH-Wert von 1. Anschließend wird in Wasser abgewaschen und getrocknet. Nach einer Wärmelagerung im Verlauf von einer Stunde bei 40 °C wird dann anschließend das Bauteil 10 min in eine Lösung bei pH 13,5 getaucht. Nach anschließendem Abwaschen in Wasser und Trocknen konnte keine optische Veränderung gegenüber dem Anlieferungszustand festgestellt werden.
  • Im sogenannten konvenierten AMTEC-Kistler + Säure-Wärme-Alkalibeständigkeit (SWA) wird die mechanische Belastbarkeit des Bauteils vermessen. Die erfindungsgemäß erhältlichen Beschichtungen lösten sich nicht ab.
  • Auch in der Temperaturbeständigkeitsprüfung, die im Verlauf von 24 h bei 160 °C durchgeführt wurde, zeigten sich keine Risse sowie keine optische Veränderung gegenüber dem Anlieferungszustand, auch wenn das auf die eloxierte Aluminium oder Aluminiumlegierung aufgebrachte Material organische Bestandteile enthielt.
  • Die im Kraftfahrzeugsektor üblichen Licht- und Witterungsbeständigkeitstests, wie der Floridatest oder der Kalaharitest, konnten erfolgreich mit Hilfe der vorliegenden Erfindung erfüllt werden.
  • Erfindungsgemäß hergestellte Bauteile bestanden außerdem einen in der Medizintechnik üblichen Sterilisationsprozess von mindestens 500 Zyklen. Je Zyklus eines solchen Sterilisationsprozesses wurde das Bauteil zunächst mit Wasser bei 40 bis 60 °C für mindestens 5 Minuten gereinigt. Als Reiniger können auch geeignete pH-neutrale oder alkalische Produkte, beispielsweise pH < 11,5, zum Einsatz kommen. Die Sterilisation wurde anschließend mit feuchter Hitze mit fraktioniertem Vakuum (Dampfsterilisation, DIN EN ISO 17665-1) bei 134 °C, einem Druck von 3 bar, einer Haltedauer von mindestens 5 Minuten und einer Trocknungszeit von mindestens 15 Minuten je Zyklus durchgeführt.
  • Nachfolgend wird ein typischer Eloxalprozess beschrieben, der auch im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung beispielsweise mit Hilfe einer Standardlegierung wie Al99,85 MgSi durchgeführt wird.
  • Wesentlich ist, dass die eloxierten Bauteile, insbesondere Zierteile im Auslieferungszustand frei von Polierfehlern, Kratzern, Beschädigungen oder ähnlichen Fehlern sind, welche das Aussehen der Bauteile, insbesondere Zierteile beeinträchtigen können.
  • Die Oberfläche des Bauteils darf zudem auch im Gebrauchszustand keinerlei Vermattungen, Wolkigkeiten, optische Veränderungen (zum Beispiel Blauschimmer), Rissbildung oder Schatten-ähnliche Bereiche aufweisen.
  • Vor der Behandlung oder Beschichtung muss gewährleistet sein, dass die Bauteile frei von Staub, Fingerabdrücken und sonstigen Rückständen sind. Die Bauteile dürfen vor der Behandlung oder Beschichtung nicht mit bloßen Händen angefasst werden. Eine eventuelle Bestückung von Warenträgern sollte mit Fussel-freien Stoffhandschuhen erfolgen.
  • Die Bauteile werden vorzugsweise, wie es im Stand der Technik üblich ist, zunächst entfettet, elektrisch vor- und nachgeglänzt sowie deoxidiert, bevor der übliche Anodisierungsprozess, beispielsweise in Schwefelsäure mit Gleichstrom oder Wechselstrom durchgeführt wird. Zwischen den jeweiligen Schritten wird naturgemäß das Aluminiumbauteil gespült, beziehungsweise spritzgespült.
  • Geeignete Verfahren und Spezifikationen der Hartanodisation finden sich beispielsweise in Aluminium Taschenbuch, 16. Auflage, 2009, S. 577 ff. Insbesondere Verfahren unter Einsatz von Gleichstrom und Schwefelsäure nach dem sogenannten GS-Verfahren werden hier beschrieben. Die vorliegende Erfindung macht sich diese Offenbarung in vollem Umfang zu Eigen.
  • Aus S. 579 ff. des oben genannten Aluminium Taschenbuchs ist das Verdichten anodisch erzeugter Oxidschichten bekannt. Hier wird beschrieben, dass die anodisch erzeugte Oxidschicht mikroporös ist und ihre optimale Korrosionsbeständigkeit erst durch eine Verdichtungsbehandlung, die einen Porenverschluss bewirkt, erreicht. Für diesen zwingend erforderlichen Porenverschluss stehen zwei prinzipielle Behandlungsverfahren zur Verfügung, nämlich das konventionelle Verdichten (Hydrothermal Sealing) sowie das Kaltimprägnieren (Kaltsealing) auf der Basis von Nickelfluorid (Cold Sealing).
  • Das Kaltverdichten wird beispielsweise in einem Bad aus vollentsalztem Wasser unter Zugabe eines Metallfluorids, beispielsweise Nickelfluorid und/oder Natriumfluorid, enthaltenden Verdichtungsmittels bei einer Temperatur oberhalb Raumtemperatur (25 °C), beispielsweise bei 28 °C bis 32 °C und einem leicht sauren bis neutralen pH-Wert, beispielsweise von 6,0 bis 7,0 für einige Minuten, beispielsweise von mindestens 4 Minuten durchgeführt, wie dies in WO 2009/068168 A1 beschrieben ist.
  • Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren kann jedoch auch ohne diesen Kaltverdichtungsschritt durchgeführt werden, so dass beide Varianten gleichermaßen bevorzugt sind.
  • Erfindungsgemäß wird das Heißverdichten eingesetzt. Seite 580 des Aluminium Taschenbuchs beschreibt, dass das konventionelle Verdichten durch Hydratation der Oxidschicht so alt ist, wie das Verfahren der anodischen Oxidation selbst. Die erzeugte Oxidschicht wird dabei vorzugsweise einer Heißwasserbehandlung in voll entsalztem Wasser mit einem pH-Wert von 6 +/- 0,5 bei über 96 °C oder einer Behandlung mit Sattdampf über 98 °C unterzogen. Die Behandlungszeit liegt danach üblicherweise bei 3 bis 4 min/µm Schichtdicke. Die Oxidschicht wird während des Verdichtungsprozesses oberflächlich angelöst. Dabei gehen eventuell adsorbierte Anionen aus dem Anodisierbad in Lösung. Durch die eintretende pH-Wert-Erhöhung schlägt sich Aluminiumhydroxid-Gel auf der Oberfläche nieder, das kristallisiert. Dabei findet eine Umwandlung des Oxids in Böhmit statt.
  • Erfindungsgemäß kommt diesem Verfahrensschritt des Heißverdichtens eine besondere Bedeutung zu. Auch hier wird in dem oben genannten Temperaturfenster heißverdichtet, jedoch wird erfindungsgemäß eine deutlich kürzere Verdichtungszeit verwirklicht. Im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung wird die teilweise Heißverdichtung in Wasser bei einer Temperatur von mehr als 96 °C bis zu 100 °C im Verlauf von bis zu 30 s/µm, insbesondere bis zu 20 sec/µm Schichtdicke der Konversionsschicht durchgeführt. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt sind die Poren der eloxierten Oberfläche noch nicht vollständig verschlossen und können das siliziumorganische Netzwerkbildner enthaltene Material teilweise in der Oberfläche aufnehmen. Hierdurch erfolgt eine hervorragende Verankerung dieses Materials in und auf der Konversionsschicht einschließlich der oben beschriebenen vorteilhaften Eigenschaften.
  • Wie oben bereits ausgeführt, umfasst die Vorbehandlung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens insbesondere das Entfetten, Spülen, Beizen, Spülen, Glänzen, Spülen, Säurebehandeln und Spülen vor der eigentlichen anodischen Oxidation.
  • Nach der anodischen Oxidation und dem Heißverdichten wird dann das siliziumorganische Netzwerkbildner enthaltende Material mit der anodisch oxidierten Oberfläche in Verbindung gebracht. Dies kann beispielsweise durch Fluten, Tauchen, Spritzen, Rollen, Rakeln und/oder Walzen erfolgen. Hierbei ist es auch möglich, dass man das Material und/oder das Substrat vor und/oder während des Inkontaktbringens elektrostatisch auflädt.
  • Erfindungsgemäß wird ein siliziumorganisches Netzwerkbildner enthaltendes Material eingesetzt. Dieses kann vorzugsweise ausgewählt werden aus einer Gruppe der nicht fluorierten Silane, insbesondere CH3Si(OC2H5)3, C2H5Si(OC2H5)3, CH3Si(OCH3)3, C6H5Si(OCH3)3, C6H5Si(OC2H5)3, CH2=CHSi(OOCCH3)3, CH2=CHSi(OCH3)3, CH2=CHSi(OC2H5)3, CH2=CHSi(OC2H4OCH3)3, CH2=CHCH2Si(OCH3)3, CH2=CHCH2Si(OC2H5)3, CH2=CHCH2Si(OOCCH3)3, CH2=C(CH3)COOC3H7Si(OCH3)3, CH2=C(CH3)COOC3H7Si(OC2H5)3, (C2H5O)3SiC6H4NH2, (C2H5O)3SiC3H6NH2, (C2H5O)3SiC3H6CN, (CH3O)3SiC4H8SH, (CH3O)3SiC6H12SH, (CH3O)3SiC3H6SH, (C2H5O)3SiC3H6SH, (CH3O)3SiC3H6NHC2H4NH2, (CH3O)3SiC3H6NHC2H4NHC2H4NH2,

  • Alternativ oder kumulativ können in gleicher Weise auch fluorierte Silane, insbesondere CF3CH2CH2SiY3, C2F5CH2CH2SiY3, C4F9CH2CH2SiY3, n-C6F13CH2CH2SiY3, n-C8F17CH2CH2SiY3, n-C10F21CH2CH2SiY3, wobei Y für OCH3 und/oder OC2H5 steht, eingesetzt werden. Das hier definierte Material wird vorzugsweise lösungsmitttelarm, insbesondere lösungsmittelfrei eingesetzt. Gegebenenfalls kann das Material aber auch Lösungsmittel oder Dispergiermittel enthalten. Die vorgenannten Silane werden erfindungsgemäß auf der teilverdichteten Konversionsschicht durch den Sol-Gel-Prozess vernetzt. Dabei hat dieses Material während und nach dem Sol-Gel-Prozess keinerlei thermoplastische Eigenschaften, selbst wenn der Sol-Gel-Prozess schon vor dem Inkontaktbringen gestartet wurde.
  • Besonders bevorzugt im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung wird die Härtung des siliziumorganischen Netzwerkbildner enthaltenen Materials bei einer das Aluminium schützenden Temperatur im Bereich von 120 bis 250 °C, insbesondere bis 200 °C vorgenommen. Der Sol-Gel-Prozess bewirkt dabei eine hervorragende Härtung, die die oben genannten Eigenschaften bewirkt, obwohl die Beschichtung außerordentlich dünn ist und nur eine Schichtdicke im Nanometerbereich aber auch bis wenige Mikrometer aufweist. Aufgrund des unvollständigen Porenverschlusses dringt das nicht gehärtete Material in die Konversionsschicht ein und verbindet sich auch chemisch mit dieser. In diesem Verfahrensschritt wird die Konversionsschicht weiter verdichtet.
  • Viel dicker hingegen ist die anodisch erzeugte Konversionsschicht selbst, deren Schichtdicke bevorzugt 5 bis 15 µm, insbesondere bevorzugt 7 bis 10 µm beträgt. Bedingt durch die außerordentlich geringe Dicke des gehärteten siliziumorganischen Netzwerkbildner enthaltenden Materials auf und in der Oberfläche der Konversionsschicht enthält dieses Al-O-Si-gebundene Siorganofunktionelle Silikate. Damit ist das oben genannte Material chemisch in und mit der Konversionsschicht gebunden und führt so zu einer außerordentlich hohen Haftfestigkeit derselben, die naturgemäß keine thermoplastischen Eigenschaften aufweist.
  • Der Begriff der Aluminiumoberfläche im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung umfasst beliebige Aluminiumsubstrate, beispielsweise die in EP 1 780 313 A2 in [0009] beschriebenen Legierungen neben dem Reinmetall. Die erfindungsgemäß erhältlichen Aluminiumoberflächen können naturgemäß eine farblose und/oder gefärbte Oberfläche aufweisen. Für den Fall, dass die Oberfläche gefärbt sein sollte, kann dies nach dem im Stand der Technik üblichen Verfahren in den Eloxierprozess beziehungsweise den Beschichtungsprozess integriert werden.
  • Die erfindungsgemäß erhältlichen anodisch oxidierten Oberflächen können in vielfältiger Form auftreten, beispielsweise in Form von Fassaden, Fensterrahmen, Türrahmen, Beschlagsteilen und Zierleisten im Bauwesen, im Fahrzeugbau und in der Möbelindustrie, Felgen, Haushaltsgeräten, Schilder, Beleuchtungselementen, Möbelbauteilen, Maschinenelementen, Griffen, Konstruktionsteilen, Halterungen oder Motorbauteilen und Wärmetauscher, beispielsweise für Klimaanlagen in Fahrzeugen oder Gebäuden. Auch im medizintechnischen Bereich, in dem Desinfektionsverfahren häufig eingesetzt werden, können die erfindungsgemäßen Bauteile eingesetzt werden. Diese Bauteile erfüllen die Herstellervorgaben, wenn sie beispielsweise mit Ozon, Wasserdampf oder Wasserstoffperoxid behandelt werden.
  • Beispiele: Ausführungsbeispiel 1:
  • Ein nach dem Stand der Technik (Aluminium Taschenbuch loc. cit.) eloxiertes und für 30 Sekunden im >96°C heißen Wasser anverdichtetes (teilverdichtetes) Aluminiumbauteil aus Al 99,85 MgSi wurde nach dem Spülen und Trocknen für weitere 24 Stunden unter Standard Laboratmosphäre gelagert. Dabei wurde eine Konversionsschicht mit einer Dicke von 7,5 µm erhalten.
  • Danach wurde dieses teilverdichtete Bauteil in einer Zusammensetzung aus 58,80g Tetraethoxyorthosilikat, 24,90g [3-(2,3-Epoxypropoxy)-propyl]trimethoxysilan, 25,17g vollentsalztem Wasser und 2,13 g 32-prozentiger Salzsäure, welche mit einem Gemisch aus 184,53g 2-Propanol und 3,72 g vollentsalztem Wasser verdünnt wurde, eingetaucht und so langsam herausgezogen, dass beim Herausziehen ein sichtbarer Nassfilm auf dem Bauteil erkennbar blieb. Nach einer Ablüftzeit von 10 Minuten wurde in einem Umluftofen für eine Stunde bei 200°C erhitzt und die mit Silikat versetzte Eloxalschicht endverdichtet bzw. gehärtet. Die Gesamtschichtdicke der Konversionsschicht einschließlich der Silikatschicht betrug etwa 8,5 µm.
  • Ausführungsbeispiel 2.
  • Ein nach dem Stand der Technik (Aluminium Taschenbuch loc. cit.) eloxiertes Aluminiumbauteil aus Al 99,85 MgSi mit einer 7,5 µm dicken Konversionsschicht wurde für 3 Minuten (24 Sekunden/µm Konversionsschicht) im >96°C heißen Wasser teilverdichtet. Nach dem Spülen und Trocknen wurde das Bauteil für weitere 24 Stunden unter Standard Laboratmosphäre gelagert.
  • Danach wurde dieses teilverdichtete Bauteil in einer Zusammensetzung aus 58,80g Tetraethoxyorthosilikat, 24,90g [3-(2,3-Epoxypropoxy)propyl]-trimethoxysilan, 25,17g vollentsalztem Wasser und 2,13 g 32-prozentiger Salzsäure, welche mit einem Gemisch aus 184,53g 2-Propanol und 3,72 g vollentsalztem Wasser verdünnt wurde, eingetaucht und so langsam herausgezogen, dass beim Herausziehen ein sichtbarer Nassfilm auf dem Bauteil erkennbar blieb. Nach einer Ablüftzeit von 10 Minuten wurde in einem Umluftofen für eine Stunde bei 200°C erhitzt und die mit Silikat versetzte Eloxalschicht endverdichtet bzw. gehärtet. Die Gesamtschichtdicke der Konversionsschicht einschließlich der Silikatschicht betrug etwa 8,5 µm.
  • Ein gemäß Ausführungsbeispiel 1 oder 2 behandeltes Bauteil bestand folgende Prüfung:
  • Die Prüfung erfolgte bei einer Temperatur von 23 °C. Die nachfolgenden Prüfungen wurden in der angegebenen Reihenfolge nacheinander am selben Bauteil durchgeführt.
  • Abfolge:10 min Tauchen in Lösung pH 1, Abwaschen in vollentsalztem Wasser und Trocknen, 1 h bei 40 °C Wärmelagerung (ohne Abkühlung weitere Prüfabfolge), 10 min Tauchen in Lösung pH 13,5, Abwaschen in vollentsalztem Wasser und Trocknen.
  • Es war keine optische Veränderung gegenüber dem Ursprungszustand zu erkennen.
  • Rechnerisch definierte Prüflösungen:
    • pH-Wert 1: 0,1 molare Salzsäure
    • pH-Wert 13,5: Pufferlösung aus 12,7 g Natriumhydroxid, 4,64 g Natriumphosphat-Dodecahydrat (entspricht 2 g Natriumphosphat), 0,33 g Natriumchlorid (entspricht 200 mg Chlorid), gelöst in 1 Liter Wasser.
    Vergleichsbeispiel 1:
  • Ein nach dem Stand der Technik (Aluminium Taschenbuch loc. cit.) eloxiertes Aluminiumbauteil aus Al 99,85 MgSi mit einer 7,5 µm dicken Konversionsschicht wurde für 30 Minuten im >96°C heißen Wasser verdichtet. Nach dem Spülen und Trocknen wurde das Bauteil für weitere 24 Stunden unter Standard Laboratmosphäre gelagert.
  • Danach wurde dieses verdichtete Bauteil in einer Zusammensetzung aus 58,80g Tetraethoxyorthosilikat, 24,90g [3-(2,3-Epoxypropoxy)propyl]-trimethoxysilan, 25,17g vollentsalztem Wasser und 2,13 g 32-prozentiger Salzsäure, welche mit einem Gemisch aus 184,53g 2-Propanol und 3,72 g vollentsalztem Wasser verdünnt wurde, eingetaucht und so langsam herausgezogen, dass beim Herausziehen ein sichtbarer Nassfilm auf dem Bauteil erkennbar blieb.   • Ein so behandeltes Bauteil bestand die Prüfung gemäß den Ausführungsbeispielen nicht. Es war eine optische Veränderung gegenüber dem Ursprungszustand zu erkennen. Das Bauteil verfärbte sich weiß.
  • Vergleichsbeispiel 2:
  • Ein nach dem Stand der Technik (Aluminium Taschenbuch loc. cit.) eloxiertes Aluminiumbauteil aus Al 99,85 MgSi mit einer 7,5 µm dicken Konversionsschicht wurde für 15 Minuten im >96°C heißen Wasser verdichtet. Nach dem Spülen und Trocknen wurde das Bauteil für weitere 24 Stunden unter Standard Laboratmosphäre gelagert.
  • Danach wurde dieses verdichtete Bauteil in einer Zusammensetzung aus 58,80g Tetraethoxyorthosilikat, 24,90g [3-(2,3-Epoxypropoxy)propyl]trimethoxysilan, 25,17g vollentsalztem Wasser und 2,13 g 32-prozentiger Salzsäure, welche mit einem Gemisch aus 184,53g 2-Propanol und 3,72 g vollentsalztem Wasser verdünnt wurde, eingetaucht und so langsam herausgezogen, dass beim Herausziehen ein sichtbarer Nassfilm auf dem Bauteil erkennbar blieb.   • Vergleichsbeispiel 3:
  • Ein nach dem Stand der Technik (Aluminium Taschenbuch loc. cit.) eloxiertes Aluminiumbauteil aus Al 99,85 MgSi mit einer 7,5 µm dicken Konversionsschicht wurde nicht verdichtet. Nach dem Spülen und Trocknen wurde das Bauteil für weitere 24 Stunden unter Standard Laboratmosphäre gelagert.
  • Danach wurde dieses Bauteil in einer Zusammensetzung aus 58,80g Tetraethoxyorthosilikat, 24,90g [3-(2,3-Epoxypropoxy)propyl]trimethoxysilan, 25,17g vollentsalztem Wasser und 2,13 g 32-prozentiger Salzsäure, welche mit einem Gemisch aus 4019 g 2-Propanol und 82 g vollentsalztem Wasser verdünnt wurde, eingetaucht und so langsam herausgezogen, dass beim Herausziehen ein sichtbarer Nassfilm auf dem Bauteil erkennbar blieb. Nach einer Ablüftzeit von 10 Minuten wurde in einem Umluftofen für eine Stunde bei 200°C erhitzt und die mit Silikat versetzte Eloxalschicht endverdichtet bzw. gehärtet. Die Gesamtschichtdicke der Konversionsschicht einschließlich der Silikatschicht betrug weniger als 8,5 µm und entsprach im Wesentlichen der ursprünglichen Schichtdicke.
  • Ein so behandeltes Bauteil bestand die Prüfung gemäß den Ausführungsbeispielen 1 und 2 nicht. Es war eine optische Veränderung gegenüber dem Ursprungszustand zu erkennen. Das Bauteil verfärbte sich weiß.

Claims (6)

  1. Verfahren zur Behandlung einer Oberfläche aus Aluminium oder einer Aluminium-Legierung mittels eines nasschemischen Verfahrens, wobei man eine Oberfläche aus Aluminium oder einer Aluminium-Legierung vorbehandelt, anodisch oxidiert, spült und heißverdichtet,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man eine teilweise Heißverdichtung in Wasser bei einer Temperatur von mehr als 96 °C bis zu 100 °C oder durch eine Behandlung mit Sattdampf bei über 98 °C im Verlauf von bis zu 30 sec/µm Schichtdicke einer Konversionsschicht vornimmt, anschließend ein siliziumorganische Netzwerkbildner enthaltendes Material mit der teilweise heißverdichteten Oberfläche in Kontakt bringt und daran anschließend bei einer Temperatur von bis zu 250 °C härtet.
  2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Vorbehandlung das Entfetten, Spülen, Beizen, Spülen, Glänzen, Spülen, Säurebehandeln und Spülen umfasst.
  3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man das Material mit der anodisch oxidierten Oberfläche durch Fluten, Tauchen, Spritzen, Rollen, Rakeln und/oder Walzen in Kontakt bringt.
  4. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man die teilweise Heißverdichtung im Verlauf von bis zu 20 sec/µm Schichtdicke der Konversionsschicht durchführt.
  5. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man ein Material einsetzt, das eines oder mehrere organisch modifizierte Silane ausgewählt aus der Gruppe der nicht fluorierten Silane, insbesondere CH3Si(OC2H5)3, C2H5Si(OC2H5)3, CH3Si(OCH3)3, C6H5Si(OCH3)3, C6H5Si(OC2H5)3, CH2=CHSi(OOCCH3)3, CH2=CHSi(OCH3)3, CH2=CHSi(OC2H5)3, CH2=CHSi(OC2H4OCH3)3, CH2=CHCH2Si(OCH3)3, CH2=CHCH2Si(OC2H5)3, CH2=CHCH2Si(OOCCH3)3, CH2=C(CH3)COOC3H7Si(OCH3)3, CH2=C(CH3)COOC3H7Si(OC2H5)3, (C2H5O)3SiC6H4NH2, (C2H5O)3SiC3H6NH2, (C2H5O)3SiC3H6CN, (CH3O)3SiC4H8SH, (CH3O)3SiC6H12SH, (CH3O)3SiC3H6SH, (C2H5O)3SiC3H6SH, (CH3O)3SiC3H6NHC2H4NH2, (CH3O)3SiC3H6NHC2H4NHC2H4NH2,

  6. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man die Härtung bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von 120 °C bis 200 °C vornimmt.
