Definitions
- the present invention relates to a built-in cistern according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such built-in cisterns are known in the prior art in numerous variants.
- the moisture and leakage protection is designed as a flexible, waterproof protective sheath surrounding the built-in cistern and the connecting pipe, a hose-like extension having at least one opening on the underside of its end being formed on the protective cover.
- a disadvantage of this solution is that the relatively thin protective cover can easily be damaged during installation and such damage cannot be easily discovered. Safe leakage protection is therefore not guaranteed with the desirable reliability.
- Another example can be found in EP 1284327 ,
- the object of the invention is therefore to solve the problems arising from the prior art and in particular to provide a built-in cistern with particularly reliable protection against moisture and leakage.
- a dimensionally stable and water-impermeable shell as a leakage protection device, which at least partially encloses the built-in cistern, effectively prevents accidental damage to the leakage protection device during assembly. While the film known in the prior art can easily be damaged by pointed tools or screws, this is not readily possible with a dimensionally stable shell made, for example, of plastic.
- the bowl is designed so that it at least partially surrounds the built-in cistern on the back. The same applies to side areas arranged within the masonry and an underside of the built-in cistern, which are likewise at least partially enclosed by the bowl. Only the front of the shell is open, which has a leading edge that extends at least to a wall surface.
- the water-impermeable bowl designed in this way prevents water from escaping from the underside, the rear or the side areas of the built-in cistern and from entering the wall or the masonry.
- the shell additionally encloses the second conduit.
- the second pipe means is, for example, a water drain pipe, which connects the built-in cistern to a sanitary facility, such as a toilet seat ceramic.
- the shell is made of a polymer material, such as a plastic from the group of PP, PE, ABS, PS.
- Thermoformable plastics are particularly suitable for this, and are available in numerous colors and designs.
- the wall thickness of the shell is less than 60 mm, preferably less than 50 mm, at least in the area of a wall surface.
- a front edge is provided in the area of the wall surface, which initially has an excess length and projects beyond the wall surface. In the fully assembled installation position, this front edge is then cut to size Installation depth cut to length and then flush with the wall surface. The cut is made easier by the preferred wall thicknesses, which at the same time still ensure adequate dimensional stability of the shell.
- the bowl has water-impermeable passages for fastening means for fastening the built-in cistern.
- the bowl can be fastened to a wall cutout, for example with screw connections, in order to subsequently arrange the built-in cistern within the bowl. If the fastening means and any necessary penetrations of the fastening means through the shell are made impermeable to water, the functionality of the leakage protection device is guaranteed with the possibility of fastening at the same time.
- a mounting frame can for example be made of wood, metal or plastic profiles and serve as a mechanical support structure for the built-in cistern and the bowl.
- the built-in cistern can be attached to the mounting frame by means of screws that protrude through the bowl.
- the mounting frame itself is attached to the masonry during assembly.
- the passage points of the fasteners for connecting the built-in cistern, bowl and mounting frame are again made impermeable to water.
- the shell is preferably designed to be open on a front side. In the context of the invention, this ensures that water can escape from the front of the bowl in the event of a leak. It is also possible to open the front completely or only partially. If, for example, a partial covering of the front is provided in a region of the shell lying at the bottom, a reservoir can be provided in which any water that escapes collects. Only then would the water escape take place when a capacity of the reservoir is exceeded. This can save time in order to detect a possible leak before water emerges from the bowl.
- the installation depth of the shell is selected to be so large that it extends at least to an upper wall surface in the installed state.
- the installation depth of the shell can be chosen to be sufficiently large so that the wall surface usually projects above it. If necessary, the installation depth of the shell can then be adjusted exactly to the contour of the wall surface when installed. This can be achieved, for example, by simply sawing off the protruding section of the shell.
- the shell has at least one collecting area for leakage water on an underside, in which escaping water initially collects.
- escaping water initially collects.
- it can first be optionally collected in a reservoir, in order to then be discharged via a drainage line or without prior collection.
- a drainage line is preferably provided, which also drains the leakage liquid collected at the lowest point to a wall surface. In the fully assembled state, leakage from the built-in cistern can thus be recognized directly by the leakage water escaping into the room on the wall surface.
- FIG. 1 A built-in cistern 1 according to the invention is shown in a front view.
- the built-in cistern 1 is installed together with a sanitary device 2, which in the present case is designed as a hanging toilet seat ceramic.
- An actuator 3 is shown without an actuator plate.
- a mouth 4 of a drainage hose 5 is shown in the lower area.
- a front edge 6 of a shell 7 is also shown.
- the front edge 6 is shown in a non-cut state and protrudes beyond a wall surface 8 in the direction of a center of the room.
- Inside the shell 7 there is also a wall covering 9 which, after assembly, is inserted into the shell 7 and fastened therein.
- the wall covering 9 is aligned planar to the wall surface 8.
- both the wall cladding and the wall surface can be clad together after the front edge 6 has been cut to length, which can be done, for example, by laying tiles, not shown.
- Figure 2 is the built-in cistern after Figure 1 shown in a vertical sectional view.
- the built-in cistern 1 sits within the bowl 7 and is completely enclosed by this on the back as well as the top, the bottom and the right and left side.
- the built-in cistern 1 is completely enclosed by the bowl 7 both on the side and on its rear.
- the back 10 forms the side which faces the wall or the masonry.
- the built-in cistern 1 is supplied with water via a first line means 11, which is connected to a water inlet connection 12.
- the water is drained off via a second line means 13, which is connected to the built-in cistern via a water drain connection 14 and connects this to the sanitary device 2.
- the sanitary device 2 is in turn attached to a mounting frame 15 which also houses the built-in cistern 1 and the bowl 7.
- FIG 3 is the detail A after Figure 2 shown enlarged again.
- the first conduit 11 conducts water through a concealed side region 16 into the built-in cistern 1 via the water inlet connection 12. It can be clearly seen here that the bowl 7 tightly encloses the built-in cistern 1 both on the rear side 10 and on the side region 16.
- the mounting frame 15 is firmly connected to the building via a fastening device 17 and carries both the wall cladding 9, the bowl 7 and the built-in cistern 1 and the sanitary device 2.
- FIG 4 is the detail B after Figure 2 shown.
- the bowl 7 In the lower section of the built-in cistern 1, the bowl 7 can again be seen with the front edge 6.
- the wall cladding 9 is arranged within the bowl.
- a collection area or reservoir 18 for collecting leakage water is clearly visible in the area below the second line means 13.
- a drainage line 19 is connected to the collecting area 18. The drainage line 19 is only partially shown and is described with reference to FIG Figure 6 explained in more detail.
- the Collection area 18 is arranged on an underside 20 of the built-in cistern in order to promote the collection of leakage water.
- Figure 5 shows the built-in cistern 1 according to the invention in a side view.
- the built-in cistern 1 is completely enclosed by the bowl 7, the drain line 19 being clearly visible in the lower region 18.
- the mounting frame 15 has fastening means 21 through which the built-in cistern 1 and the bowl 7 are connected to the mounting frame 15. In the present case, these are screws that pass through the shell 7.
- the passage points are each made watertight so that no leakage water can escape from the shell 7 through the passage points.
- FIG. 6 a rear view of the mounting frame 15 with the built-in cistern 1 and the bowl 7 is shown.
- the drainage line 19 is clearly visible, which leads from the underside 20 with the collecting area 18 to the mouth 4 of the drainage hose 6.
- FIG. 7 the built-in cistern 1 is again shown in a perspective view with the actuating device 3, the wall surface 8, the wall covering 9 being removed in this case.
- the built-in cistern 1 is completely enclosed by the bowl 7, the front edge 6 of which is clearly not shortened and still has the full installation depth. This takes place only in the fully assembled state before the final surface cladding is applied.
- the drainage hose 5 with the mouth 4 can still be seen. It can be clearly seen in this illustration that any leakage water that has accumulated on the underside 20 can only be drained off in the direction of the interior and water damage can thus be largely avoided.

Description
The present invention relates to a built-in cistern according to the preamble of

The object of the invention is therefore to solve the problems arising from the prior art and in particular to provide a built-in cistern with particularly reliable protection against moisture and leakage.
These tasks are solved with a built-in cistern according to the features of
The inventive use of a dimensionally stable and water-impermeable shell as a leakage protection device, which at least partially encloses the built-in cistern, effectively prevents accidental damage to the leakage protection device during assembly. While the film known in the prior art can easily be damaged by pointed tools or screws, this is not readily possible with a dimensionally stable shell made, for example, of plastic. The bowl is designed so that it at least partially surrounds the built-in cistern on the back. The same applies to side areas arranged within the masonry and an underside of the built-in cistern, which are likewise at least partially enclosed by the bowl. Only the front of the shell is open, which has a leading edge that extends at least to a wall surface. The water-impermeable bowl designed in this way prevents water from escaping from the underside, the rear or the side areas of the built-in cistern and from entering the wall or the masonry.
It is advantageous if the shell additionally encloses the second conduit. The second pipe means is, for example, a water drain pipe, which connects the built-in cistern to a sanitary facility, such as a toilet seat ceramic.
It is particularly proven and cost-effective if the shell is made of a polymer material, such as a plastic from the group of PP, PE, ABS, PS. Thermoformable plastics are particularly suitable for this, and are available in numerous colors and designs.
Advantageously, the wall thickness of the shell is less than 60 mm, preferably less than 50 mm, at least in the area of a wall surface. For this purpose, a front edge is provided in the area of the wall surface, which initially has an excess length and projects beyond the wall surface. In the fully assembled installation position, this front edge is then cut to size Installation depth cut to length and then flush with the wall surface. The cut is made easier by the preferred wall thicknesses, which at the same time still ensure adequate dimensional stability of the shell.
In a very particularly preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the bowl has water-impermeable passages for fastening means for fastening the built-in cistern. As a result, the bowl can be fastened to a wall cutout, for example with screw connections, in order to subsequently arrange the built-in cistern within the bowl. If the fastening means and any necessary penetrations of the fastening means through the shell are made impermeable to water, the functionality of the leakage protection device is guaranteed with the possibility of fastening at the same time.
Another preferred embodiment provides that at least the built-in cistern and the bowl are arranged in a mounting frame. Such a mounting frame can for example be made of wood, metal or plastic profiles and serve as a mechanical support structure for the built-in cistern and the bowl. The built-in cistern can be attached to the mounting frame by means of screws that protrude through the bowl. The mounting frame itself is attached to the masonry during assembly. Of course, the passage points of the fasteners for connecting the built-in cistern, bowl and mounting frame are again made impermeable to water.
The shell is preferably designed to be open on a front side.
In order now to additionally ensure that water does not penetrate into the masonry or a wall construction, it is advantageously provided that the installation depth of the shell is selected to be so large that it extends at least to an upper wall surface in the installed state. Here, the installation depth of the shell can be chosen to be sufficiently large so that the wall surface usually projects above it. If necessary, the installation depth of the shell can then be adjusted exactly to the contour of the wall surface when installed. This can be achieved, for example, by simply sawing off the protruding section of the shell.
So ausgebildete Schalen decken die allermeisten Anwendungsfälle ab.Shells that have an installation depth in the range from 100 mm to 350 mm, preferably from 150 mm to 250 mm, have proven particularly useful. Shells designed in this way cover the vast majority of applications.
It is also advantageous if the shell has at least one collecting area for leakage water on an underside, in which escaping water initially collects. For this purpose, it can first be optionally collected in a reservoir, in order to then be discharged via a drainage line or without prior collection. In addition, a drainage line is preferably provided, which also drains the leakage liquid collected at the lowest point to a wall surface. In the fully assembled state, leakage from the built-in cistern can thus be recognized directly by the leakage water escaping into the room on the wall surface.
The invention and the technical environment are explained in more detail below with reference to the figures. It should be noted that the figures show particularly preferred embodiment variants of the invention, to which, however, it is not restricted.
