Definitions
- the invention relates to a two-fluid nozzle for spraying a liquid-gas mixture with a nozzle housing having at least one opening into a mixing chamber liquid inlet and at least one, opening into the mixing chamber gas inlet, a swirl insert, an outlet chamber between the swirl insert and an outlet opening at the downstream end of the Exit chamber, a throttle at the downstream end of the mixing chamber and an intermediate chamber between the throttle and the swirl insert.
- the invention also relates to a method for spraying a liquid-gas mixture.
- the invention aims to provide an improved two-fluid nozzle and an improved method for spraying a liquid-gas mixture.
- a two-fluid nozzle for spraying a liquid-gas mixture with the features of claim 1 is provided for this purpose.
- the two-fluid nozzle has a nozzle housing with at least one liquid inlet opening into a mixing chamber and at least one gas inlet into the mixing chamber, a swirl insert and an outlet chamber between the swirl insert and an outlet opening at the downstream end of the outlet chamber, wherein a throttle at the downstream end of Mixing chamber and an intermediate chamber between the throttle and the swirl insert is provided and wherein the mixing chamber has a central longitudinal axis and the at least one liquid inlet opens generally tangent to an imaginary circle about the central longitudinal axis in the mixing chamber.
- a two-substance nozzle which has a substantially constant spray angle of the spray jet emitted via the outlet opening.
- This substantially constant jet angle is maintained when changing a pressure of the supplied gas and / or a pressure of the supplied liquid.
- the two-substance nozzle according to the invention can thereby provide a substantially constant jet angle, for example, with changing or fluctuating water pressure. This is of particular importance, for example, if the two-component nozzle according to the invention is used for cooling strands in continuous casting plants for long products is used.
- the main requirement for secondary cooling in continuous casters is to provide controlled, even cooling.
- Such cooling is carried out by means of two-component spray nozzles.
- the cooling should lead to the solidification of a defect-free, that is generally crack-free and segregation-free strand.
- so-called billets, billets or round formats are produced in continuous casting plants and cooled by means of two-component nozzles. Due to the many different steel grades and their different properties and the wide range of casting speeds, a large nozzle control range for such two-fluid nozzles must be provided. This means that on the one hand a very strong cooling with high volume flow and on the other hand a very gentle cooling with low flow must be possible.
- the jet angle of the two-component spray nozzles in the secondary cooling changes when the volume flow changes and, for example, when the water pressure changes, this can lead to defects in the strands produced, for example because they are no longer cooled over their entire outer surface.
- the two-component spray nozzle according to the invention provides a remedy here, since the jet angle of the spray jet dispensed remains substantially constant even with fluctuating or changing water pressure. Due to the changing fluid pressure and / or the changing gas pressure, only the volume distribution within the spray jet is changed, that is, the distribution of the liquid in the dispensed spray jet.
- a substantially constant jet angle can be provided by providing a throttle at the downstream end of the mixing chamber and an intermediate chamber between the throttle and the swirl insert in a very simple manner. Downstream of the throttle is a uniform distribution of liquid and gas in the liquid-gas mixture and segregation is prevented. Due to the throttle, the pressure dependence of the beam angle is significantly reduced.
- the intermediate chamber is dimensioned so that no segregation occurs between the throttle and the swirl insert.
- tangentially feeding the liquid into the mixing chamber By tangentially feeding the liquid into the mixing chamber, a very uniform mixture of liquid and gas is already achieved in the mixing chamber.
- tangential means perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis, but not directed towards the throttle at the downstream end of the mixing chamber, not even in the opposite direction.
- the liquid is introduced through the generally tangentially opening liquid inlet so relative to the central longitudinal axis of the mixing chamber so that the liquid is introduced with a twist about the central longitudinal axis.
- the liquid can thus also be introduced obliquely to the tangential direction, that is offset obliquely in the direction of the central longitudinal axis, into the mixing chamber.
- the throttle has a perforated disc.
- a perforated disc By means of a perforated disc can be provided in a very simple manner, a throttle for the liquid-gas mixture in the mixing chamber.
- the perforated disk has only a plurality of passage openings arranged in the region of its edge.
- passage openings may be formed as bores spaced from the edge or, for example, grooves may also be provided on the edge of the perforated disk.
- the throttle has a diaphragm with a single, central passage opening.
- Such a throttle can, in particular in conjunction with a perforated disc, cause a very favorable liquid-gas distribution in the intermediate chamber.
- the perforated disc is arranged in front of the diaphragm in the flow direction.
- the aperture is seen in the flow direction spaced from the perforated disc.
- the diaphragm can be spaced apart from it by approximately the radius of the perforated disc.
- the size of the central passage opening in the diaphragm is advantageously chosen so that the passage opening has a diameter which is smaller than the distance of the passage openings in the perforated disc to each other. In other words, in a projection, the passage openings are completely covered by the aperture.
- the swirl insert has a plurality of bores or grooves arranged in the edge area or on its outer circumference, wherein the bores or grooves extend obliquely or helically to a central longitudinal axis of the outlet chamber.
- the swirl insert on its downstream side in its central region on a projecting in the flow direction pin.
- the spray characteristic of the two-fluid nozzle according to the invention can be changed.
- the provision of such a pin causes the generation of a full cone spray jet. If no pin is provided on the swirl insert, a hollow cone spray is generated. The pin on the swirl insert is facing the outlet chamber, thus extending in the flow direction. Over the length of the pin, a liquid distribution can be adjusted within the spray. The longer the pin is executed, the more liquid is arranged in the middle of the beam.
- an outer circumference of the pin deviates from a circular shape.
- the pin may be surrounded by a groove at least in the region of its end originating from the swirl insert.
- the groove is there ring-shaped, but advantageously has no circular circumference.
- the groove may be formed of a plurality of blind holes placed next to each other on a circular line. The blind holes thereby determine both the outer circumference of the pin and the outer circumference of the groove.
- At least two fluid inlets are provided, which in each case open into the mixing chamber generally tangentially to an imaginary circle about the central longitudinal axis, but in opposite directions to one another.
- the problem underlying the invention is also solved by a method for spraying a liquid-gas mixture with a two-fluid nozzle, wherein in a mixing chamber with at least one liquid inlet and at least one gas inlet, the liquid-gas mixture is produced and wherein by means of a swirl insert the Fluid-gas mixture is rotated about a central longitudinal axis and is discharged through an outlet opening, wherein the conducting of the liquid-gas mixture via a throttle at the downstream end of the mixing chamber and the passage of the liquid-gas mixture through an intermediate chamber is provided between the throttle and the swirl insert.
- a variation of a distribution of the liquid-gas mixture in a dispensed spray cone by means of varying a pressure of the gas and / or the liquid is provided, wherein a jet angle of the dispensed spray cone with a change in the pressure of the gas and / or the liquid remains essentially constant.
- a distribution of the liquid-gas mixture in the output spray cone can be deliberately and deliberately influenced, for example in order to change a different cooling of a sprayed sprayed with Zweistoffsprühdüse strand defined.
- the presentation of the Fig. 1 shows a two-fluid nozzle 10 according to the invention with a nozzle housing 12, wherein the nozzle housing 12 has a first housing portion 14 which is substantially cuboidal and has a mouthpiece 16 which is fixed to the first housing portion.
- the mouthpiece 16 In the mouthpiece 16 is an in Fig. 1 unrecognizable outlet opening 18 is provided, via which a spray is emitted.
- the spray jet 20 has an in Fig. 1 indicated by dashed lines cone shape.
- the spray jet has a jet angle ⁇ .
- On the first housing section 14 is a liquid connection 24 for supplying liquid to be sprayed, especially water, and a compressed air connection 22 for supplying compressed gas, in particular Compressed air, provided.
- a locking screw 26 is attached to the in Fig. 1 provided on the right side of the housing.
- FIG. 2 shows the two - fluid nozzle of the Fig. 1 in a side view, wherein the locking screw 26 is not shown.
- a liquid inlet part 28 can be seen, which will be described below with reference to FIGS Fig. 3 and the FIGS. 14 to 17 is explained in more detail.
- the sectional view of Fig. 3 shows a plan view of the sectional plane AA of Fig. 2 ,
- Compressed gas is introduced via the compressed gas connection 22 into the mixing chamber 30, which is provided within the first housing section 14.
- Water to be sprayed is introduced via the liquid connection 24 into a transverse bore of the first housing section 14 and then also introduced into the mixing chamber 30 via the liquid inlet part 28.
- An in Fig. 3 right end of the transverse bore is closed by the screw 26.
- the liquid inlet part 28 has two mouth openings 33 a, 33 b for liquid, which are formed by means of a transverse bore 32 in a projecting into the mixing chamber 30 pin of the liquid inlet part 28.
- This transverse bore 32 is in the illustration of Fig. 14 and the Fig. 16 to recognize.
- Liquid enters via a longitudinal bore 31 in the diesstechnikseinlassteil 28 and then bounces perpendicular to the transverse bore 32.
- the liquid is thereby deflected within the diesstechniksseinlassteils by 90 °, leaves the diesstechnikseinlassteil on the two mouth openings 33a, 33b of the transverse bore 32 and thereby enters about tangential direction in the mixing chamber 30 a.
- Strictly tangential only the middle of the transverse bore 32 is arranged, the ends of the transverse bore open towards the tangent to the mouth openings 33a, 33b outward direction.
- the liquid-gas mixture then passes through a perforated disc 38 in an intermediate chamber 40.
- the intermediate chamber 40 extends between the perforated disc 38 and a swirl insert 42.
- a diaphragm 44 is arranged within the intermediate chamber.
- the perforated disc has in the illustrated embodiment a total of five through holes 46, which in the illustration of the perforated disc 38 in Fig. 8 can be seen.
- the passage openings 46 are arranged uniformly spaced from each other on a concentric to the central axis 36 circle.
- the passage openings 46 are arranged in an edge region of the perforated disc 38.
- the perforated disc 38 has, in addition to the passage openings 46 no further openings or passages. The liquid can thereby pass from the mixing chamber 30 only through the passage openings 46 into the intermediate chamber 40.
- the panel 44 has only one, arranged concentrically to the central longitudinal axis through opening 48 and is annular.
- a diameter of the passage opening 48 in the aperture 44 is dimensioned such that in a projection along the central longitudinal axis 36, the passage openings 46 are concealed in the perforated disc 38 through the aperture 44.
- the liquid-gas mixture entering through the passage openings 46 of the perforated disk 38 into the intermediate chamber 40 is thereby deflected by means of the orifice 44 and directed into its through-opening 48.
- the perforated disc 38 and the diaphragm 44 form a throttle for the liquid-gas mixture.
- the diameter of the intermediate chamber 40 expands again and the liquid-gas mixture is passed to the swirl insert 42.
- the liquid-gas mixture receives a twist about the central longitudinal axis 36 and then enters an outlet chamber 50, at the downstream end of the outlet opening 18 is arranged.
- the outlet opening 18 has a cylindrical section starting from the outlet chamber 50 and a section which widens conically in the direction of flow and which adjoins the cylindrical section.
- the outlet opening 18 is provided in the mouthpiece 16 and is surrounded concentrically by a drip edge 52.
- the perforated disc 38 is provided on a screwed into the first housing portion 14 end of the mouthpiece and the aperture 44 and the swirl insert 42 are arranged in the mouthpiece 16.
- the mouthpiece 16 is, see Fig. 7 , Provided with several paragraphs, which are each matched to the diameter of the perforated disc 38, the aperture 40 and the swirl insert 42.
- the perforated disc 38 is arranged on a first circumferential shoulder 52.
- the shutter 44 is placed on a second circumferential ledge 54 and the swirl insert 42 is placed on a third circumferential ledge 56.
- the swirl insert 42, the orifice 44 and the perforated disc 38 can be easily inserted successively into the mouthpiece 16 and inside the mouthpiece 16 through the circumferential shoulders 56 , 54 or 52 a defined position. Between the peripheral shoulders 52, 54, 56 an interior of the mouthpiece 16 is designed substantially cylindrical. In this case, additional, narrower circumferential paragraphs can be provided in each case at the level of a surface facing the flow of the aperture 44 and the swirl insert 42.
- Fig. 4 shows a plan view of the Zweistoffsprühdüse 10 and Fig. 5 shows the two-fluid nozzle 10 from above obliquely.
- Fig. 6 the two-fluid nozzle 10 is shown in exploded view. After insertion of the swirl insert 42, the aperture 44 and the perforated disc 38 in the mouthpiece 16, this is then screwed into the first housing portion 14. It can be seen in Fig. 6 in that the liquid-gas mixture emerging from the mixing chamber 30 first has to pass exclusively through the passage openings 46 in the perforated disc 38 and is then deflected into the central through-opening 48 of the diaphragm 44. Downstream of the passage opening 48, the liquid-gas mixture can again spread radially outward and then enters through swirl channels 60 on the outer circumference of the swirl insert 42 into the outlet chamber 50, to then be discharged as a spray cone through the outlet opening 18.
- the swirl channels 60 are uniformly spaced around the outer periphery of the swirl insert 42 and arranged obliquely to the central longitudinal axis 36.
- the liquid-gas mixture obtained by the swirl insert 42 thereby a twist around the central longitudinal axis 36 and consequently exits through the concentric to the central longitudinal axis 36 arranged outlet opening 18 and downstream of the outlet opening 18, the spray cone 20, see Fig. 1 ,
- a jet angle ⁇ of the spray cone 20, see Fig. 1 is substantially independent of the pressure of the supplied gas and the supplied liquid.
- a substantially constant jet angle ⁇ can be achieved over a large range of the pressure of the liquid and the pressure of the gas.
- a throttle can also be formed alone through the perforated disc 38 when the aperture 44 is omitted.
- the spray angle is typically substantially constant between a water pressure between 4 bar and 8 bar at an air pressure of 1 bar. At an air pressure of 2 bar, the beam angle only changes by a little less than 10 ° when the water pressure changes between 4 bar and 8 bar. With a change in the water pressure, however, a distribution of the liquid-gas mixture within the spray cone 20 changes. Thus, with increasing air pressure, more liquid-gas mixture is arranged in the middle of the spray cone 20. With increasing water pressure, however, less liquid-gas mixture is arranged in the center region of the spray cone 20 about the central longitudinal axis 36. With the two-substance nozzle 10 according to the invention, a liquid distribution or a distribution of the liquid-gas mixture in the spray cone 20 can thereby be influenced in a targeted manner.
- the presentation of the Fig. 10 shows the swirl insert 42 in a view obliquely from the front.
- the swirl insert 42 On its side facing away from the flow, see also Fig. 3 , the swirl insert 42 is provided with a pin 62 arranged concentrically to the central longitudinal axis.
- the pin protrudes, see Fig. 3 , on a bottom of the swirl insert 42 before.
- An outer periphery of the pin 62 is not circular.
- the pin 62 is surrounded by a circumferential groove 64 in the region of its base on the swirl insert 42.
- the groove is formed by introducing a plurality of blind holes parallel to the central longitudinal axis in the swirl insert 42. Overall, seven blind holes are introduced parallel to the central longitudinal axis 36 in the swirl insert 42 in the illustrated embodiment. An outer circumference of the groove 64 is thereby composed of a total of seven circular sections. The centers of the blind holes lie on a circle concentrically surrounding the central longitudinal axis 36, see also Fig. 12 , Over the length of the pin 62, a distribution of the liquid-gas mixture in the spray cone 20 can be influenced. If the pin 62 is omitted and the surface facing away from the flow of the swirl insert 42 is flat, the spray cone 20 will be formed as a hollow cone. The provision of the pin 62 causes the formation of the spray jet 20 as a full cone.
- FIGS. 11, 12 and 13 show further views of the swirl insert 42.
- FIG. 18 to 21 show a swirl insert 70, which opposite to the swirl insert 42 of Fig. 10 to 13 modified, but at the same place in the two-fluid nozzle 10 of the invention Fig. 1 is used. Below only the differences to the swirl insert 42 of Fig. 12 to 13 be explained.
- the swirl insert 70 does not have the groove 64, which surrounds the pin 62.
- the pin 62 is thus arranged on a flat surface 72 of the swirl insert, wherein the surface 72 in the installed state of the swirl insert, see Fig. 3 , disposed on the downstream side of the swirl insert.
- the pin 62 itself has, as in the swirl insert 42, a non-circular circumference, which is formed by adjoining concave faces of a circular cylinder. Overall, the circumference of the pin 62 is formed by seven adjoining partial circle cylinder surfaces.
- the grooves extending obliquely to the direction of flow at the circumference of the swirl insert 70 are formed identically to the grooves on the swirl insert 42. As with the swirl insert 42, a total of seven oblique grooves are provided on the outer periphery.
- the presentation of the Fig. 22 shows a total of four curves, the change in the beam angle of the two-fluid nozzle according to the invention according to Fig. 1 reproduce at changing water pressure.
- the different curves correspond to different air pressures.
- the curve marked by the diamond indicates the change of the beam angle at an air pressure of 1 bar
- the curve marked with the square represents the air pressure of 2 bar
- the curve marked with a triangle represents the air pressure of 2.5 bar
- the two-fluid nozzle according to the invention is thus insensitive to fluctuations in the water pressure, as far as their jet angle is concerned.
- the presentation of the Fig. 23 shows in a diagram qualitatively the change of the water distribution within the spray jet of the two-fluid nozzle of the invention Fig. 1 with changing air pressure or water pressure.
- the reference numerals 74, 76 and 78 designate different water distributions within the spray jet and it can be seen that with increasing air pressure there is more liquid in the jet center. Overall, the water distributions 74, 76, 78 are approximately rotationally symmetrical about the central axis of the spray jet.
- a desired water distribution can be set by means of an adjustment of the water pressure and / or the air pressure at a substantially constant jet angle.
- long products can be cooled differently in a continuous casting plant by the water pressure and / or the air pressure of the two-fluid nozzle according to the invention is changed.
