Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a protective helmet, in particular a bicycle helmet having a helmet body with at least one ventilation opening and a helmet cover, wherein the helmet body comprises a storage device for the helmet cover, the storage device comprises a cover, by means of which the storage device is lockable or lockable, and Helmet cover has at least one connecting portion which is not detachably connected to the storage device.
  • a protective helmet is for example from the EP 0 370 696 A2 known.
  • the vents serve to provide, for example, when used as a bicycle helmet, for ventilation between the helmet body and the head of a wearer. In this way, a heat accumulation and thus an uncomfortable feeling for the wearer are avoided.
  • the helmet body known helmets may have a shock-absorbing helmet shell, an inner lining, an outer decorative shell and / or a visor.
  • the helmet shell absorbs forces acting on the protective helmet during a fall and distributes them evenly on the head surface of the wearer, thereby avoiding injuries to the head of the wearer.
  • the geometry of the ventilation openings is fixedly defined in known protective helmets, wherein in particular moisture and cold can penetrate through the ventilation openings.
  • the US 2008/0109948 A1 discloses a protective helmet according to the preamble of claim 1, which comprises a pocket arranged in a padding of the protective helmet, in which a helmet cover is stowable.
  • a protective helmet with the features of claim 1, and in particular by the fact that the storage device comprises a container which is integrated into the helmet body, and the cover can be locked in a closed state, the cover also then closed and lockable when the helmet cover is not stowed in the container, but is over the helmet body is covered, and the helmet cover has at least one fastening device which is releasably attachable to a mounting portion of the helmet body when the helmet cover is covered the helmet body.
  • the helmet cover may have a flexible, flat shape and be formed for example of a film or a fabric. He can optionally be stored folded in the storage device, or removed from the storage device and the helmet body to be covered, in particular to cover the ventilation opening as rain and / or windbreak.
  • the protective helmet according to the invention comprises, thus, a helmet cover, which can be adapted to the helmet body and thus can have an optimal fit to the helmet body. Furthermore, the helmet cover can be easily carried in the hard hat by stowing the helmet cover in the storage device. If the helmet cover is also permanently connected to the storage device, forgetting or losing the helmet cover is rendered impossible.
  • the protective helmet according to the invention can consequently be adjusted to different weather conditions within a very short time. For example, if it starts to rain, only the helmet cover has to be removed from the storage device and pulled over the helmet body. Due to the automatically carried-over helmet cover, the wearer does not have to plan for certain weather situations, but can spontaneously adapt the protective helmet to changes.
  • the helmet cover can be removed from the helmet body and stowed in the storage device.
  • the storage device can be, for example, a shell integrated into the helmet body.
  • the storage device may also be formed by the helmet body itself, for example by a depression in the helmet body.
  • the storage device may also include a separate container which is integrated into the helmet body.
  • the storage device is arranged in a rear region of the helmet body which lies at the back of the head. In this area, in particular an inconspicuous and less disturbing arrangement of the storage device is possible.
  • the storage device is thus located in an edge region of the helmet body.
  • the helmet cover extending away from the storage device in a pulled-over position can therefore cover the entire helmet body in a simple manner and does not have to extend from the storage device in two main directions.
  • the storage device comprises a cover, by means of which the storage device can be closed or locked.
  • the helmet cover In a locked or locked state, the helmet cover can thus be held by the cover in the storage device. It is also possible that the helmet cover is completely covered in the closed state of the cover and thus is not visible from the outside.
  • the cover can be locked in a closed state.
  • a locking can be done for example by a locking device, in particular a locking mandrel, a clamping device or a hook and loop fastener.
  • the cover can thus be safely closed but also easily opened, especially if the cover further comprises an operating tab for opening or closing, which is a simple manual opening and closing the Cover allows.
  • the cover on an outer side may comprise a safety device, for example a reflector.
  • the storage device comprises a container which is integrated in the helmet body.
  • the container may be inserted or recessed into the helmet body, in particular the container is encapsulated or foamed by the material of the helmet body.
  • the container may be trough-shaped, wherein the volume of the trough may be adapted to the volume of the helmet cover in the folded state.
  • the container is formed of a shock absorbing material and / or has a shock absorbing shape.
  • the container may include predetermined bending points, predetermined breaking points or an area intended for deformation.
  • the container is substantially flush with the outside of the helmet body.
  • a pleasing shape of the helmet body can be achieved, which thus in particular has no increase through the container.
  • the storage device can thus be designed so that it is difficult to see from the outside.
  • the helmet cover is flexible and stowable in a folded state in the storage device, wherein the helmet cover can be removed optionally from the storage device and the helmet body can be pulled over to cover the ventilation opening.
  • a flexible helmet cover allows for easy folding, curling or crumpling, with the helmet cover stowable in the storage device when unfolded. If necessary, the helmet cover can be removed from the storage device and be pulled over the helmet body, whereby the ventilation opening of the helmet is covered. In this way, for example, cold or rain or moisture, which usually penetrate through the ventilation opening to the head of the wearer, no longer penetrate the helmet body. The helmet cover can thus protect the wearer from rain or cold.
  • the helmet cover is preferably an integral part of the helmet.
  • the helmet cover has at least one connecting portion, which is not detachably connected to the storage device. Losing or forgetting the helmet cover is therefore excluded.
  • the helmet cover has at least one fastening device which can be detachably fastened to a fastening section of the helmet body when the helmet cover is pulled over the helmet body.
  • the fastening device may comprise a push button, a hook and loop fastener and / or an elastic band encompassing an edge of the helmet body.
  • securing means securing the helmet cover in the drawn position in a simple manner possible.
  • the detachable attachment stowage of the helmet cover is possible at any time.
  • the elastic band can, for example, encompass the entire edge of the helmet body or only in one area the edge, preferably in an area opposite the storage device, be arranged.
  • the helmet cover may have another elastic band which forms a return device and pulls the helmet cover in the direction of the storage device when the helmet cover is not through the fastening device is secured to the helmet body. Stowage of the helmet cover can be facilitated by the retrieval device.
  • the helmet cover can be pulled over substantially over the entire outside of the helmet body.
  • the outside of the helmet body can be largely covered by the helmet cover, in particular, the ventilation opening or a plurality of ventilation openings can be covered by the helmet cover. Ingress of rain or cold into the ventilation openings can thus be prevented by the helmet cover.
  • certain areas of the outside of the helmet body may remain free of the helmet cover, in particular closed edge areas of the helmet body and / or safety devices anyway. Also, vents may remain free if they are not oriented so that rain can enter them. In this way, a minimum ventilation can be ensured despite over-drawn helmet cover.
  • the helmet cover may comprise at least one recess or viewing window, which in a coated state of the helmet cover allows the view of safety devices of the helmet body, in particular reflectors and / or lights.
  • the safety devices of the protective helmet retain their function and are not obscured by the helmet cover when the helmet cover is over the helmet body.
  • the helmet cover is formed water and / or windproof.
  • the wearer of the protective helmet according to the invention can thus be protected from moisture and drafts.
  • the helmet cover may further be at least partially formed light reflective. In this way, the visibility of the protective helmet according to the invention increases, especially in the dark.
  • the color of the helmet cover can be adapted to the color of the helmet body, resulting in an inconspicuous helmet cover.
  • the color of the helmet cover may be complementary to the color of the helmet body and / or be designed as a signal color to achieve better visibility.
  • the helmet cover may be fixed such that it is reversible and thus may abut with its one or the other surface on the helmet body.
  • the helmet cover on the one and the other surface each have a different color, so that the wearer can choose the color that is visible to the outside. In particular, a signal color can then be selected during the night.
  • Fig. 1 shows a protective helmet according to the invention, which is designed as a bicycle helmet 10 and includes a plurality of ventilation openings 12 which extend through a helmet body 14 therethrough.
  • the helmet body 14 may be secured by fastener tapes 16 to the head of a wearer (not shown).
