Definitions
- the invention relates to a short-circuit release, in particular for a circuit breaker with an armature and a pole, which are arranged within a bobbin, and a yoke plate and a terminal terminal, which are arranged around the bobbin.
- Such short-circuit releases are used in circuit breakers for switching and protecting motors and other consumers.
- These short-circuit releases are designed as electromagnetic triggers that essentially comprise a coil winding, a bobbin, an armature, a pole, a plunger, a retaining spring and a yoke.
- the armature pulls in at a certain rated current of the circuit breaker, for example at twelve times the rated current, in motor protection or at nineteen times the rated current, for transformer protection.
- the armature movement acts on a switch lock and on a movable contact piece to open the contacts. Normally, the operating current may fluctuate by a maximum of +/- 20%.
- the difficulty is because of the required larger support cross-sections, smaller numbers of turns, greater tolerances of the coil and the angle wire and the associated inhomogeneous magnetic magnetic field, the coil winding to position the air gap between the armature and pole sufficiently accurate so that the response limits according to standard can be complied with.
- the problem of fixing the coil winding in the position once determined to the air gap so that the rated current and high short-circuit currents no displacement of the coil winding in the direction of the center of gravity and the coil contracts or deformed and thereby the response limits are no longer met.
- the coils are made with adjacent winding turns to prevent the coil from contracting and deforming at high short circuit currents. Due to the use of uniform bobbin for each size and its interpretation for the largest geometric coil winding, often creates a gap between Spulenanalysisflansch or yoke and the last turn of the coil winding. After the exact positioning of the coil winding to the air gap between the armature and the pole, one coil end is glued to the bobbin flange or yoke to fix the coil winding, and the other end of the coil is welded to a connection.
- the current release module For circuit breakers with a high switching capacity, for example up to 100 kA with a nominal current of 80 A, the current release module must be completely redesigned to master the thermal load and obtain the correct tripping behavior. It increases the power required for the short-circuit release due to the increased contact load. It should also be noted that the power dissipation of an 80 A trigger may not be greater than that of the 50 A trigger in order to avoid an increase in temperature. This means, according to the overall design of the short-circuit release, the magnetic circuit must be built more efficiently.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a short-circuit release, in particular for a circuit breaker, at a high switching capacity has an improved magnetic circuit, thereby enabling an optimized manufacturing process.
- this object is achieved by a short-circuit release, in particular for a circuit breaker, with an armature and a pole, which are arranged inside a bobbin, as well as a yoke plate and a terminal connection, which are arranged around the bobbin.
- the invention is characterized in that on the bobbin, a coil is wound, the two ends of which can be welded from the same side to corresponding coil terminals.
- Essential to the invention is the arrangement of the coil, which should not be impaired in their functionality, as well as to provide an optimized manufacturing process.
- the spool is positioned vertically in the center of the bobbin.
- Anchor and pole are then positioned for optimum coil efficiency.
- the maximum air gap between armature and pole is set so that it lies in the vertical center of the coil.
- the coil connection to the bimetal can be pulled straight, without defined contour bends or complicated shapes to ensure parallelism to the bimetal.
- the winding direction allows the straight-line design of the connection to the bimetal.
- the coil according to the invention is manufactured as a whole without an additional connection piece between bimetal and coil or coil to terminal connection. This has the advantage that both parts and welds are saved and thus also their resistance.
- the welded joints of the coil can be made from the same side.
- the coil connection to the terminal connection can be pulled straight and directly to the terminal connection. There is no turn or other shape required for connection. There is no danger that the bobbin melts when welding the joint between the coil and the terminal connection.
- the length of the current connections is shortened.
- the saved resistor can be used for coil design.
- the magnetic circuit which is slightly degraded due to the adapted current path, is compressed by the increased electrical excitation without increasing the resistance of the entire trigger.
- a thermal increase in the total temperature of the current release is not given, or is prevented. This is crucial for the dimensioning of the temperature of the terminals or the entire device.
- a standard-compliant device is given by.
- the short-circuit release according to the invention in particular for a circuit breaker, has an armature and a pole, which are arranged within a coil body. On the spool a coil is wound.
- the bobbin is framed by a yoke plate and a terminal connection.
- the yoke plate is preferably U-shaped.
- the terminal connection surrounds the bobbin inclusive coil preferably with two mutually perpendicular legs.
- a magnetic sheet is preferably arranged, which is preferably U-shaped and has two legs and a transition region. In this case, the transition region of the magnetic plate abuts against one leg of the terminal connection.
- the first leg of the magnetic plate abuts the second leg of the terminal connection.
- the second leg of the magnetic sheet is anchored in the bobbin.
- the coil has two ends. One end of the coil is connected to a bimetal. The second end of the coil is welded directly to the terminal connection. Both ends of the coil can be welded from the same side to the coil terminals, so that only from one side welded joints must be set. Accordingly, the assembly need not be turned during assembly for the welded joints.
- the winding of the coil according to the invention enables a straight-line and direct connection of the coil ends to their terminals within the assembly, so that no undefined contour bends or complicated shapes are required.
- the coil ends are almost parallel to each other and offer a good weldability due to their straightness.
- the coil ends can be arranged in a plane. However, it is also conceivable that the planes of the coil ends have a small offset, which is significantly smaller than the diameter of the bobbin.
- a magnetic plate is arranged adjacent to the yoke plate at the terminal connection.
- the arrangement of yoke plate and magnetic sheet is designed such that they are made of two separate parts, without direct mechanical connection to the terminal connection.
- the terminal connection is also designed as a single part, which serves as a current path.
- the additional magnetic plate significantly reduces the magnetic loss.
- the magnetic sheet is not platinum plated and placed only in the area where this is required by magnet technology. There is a form-fitting pairing between magnetic plate and terminal connection.
- a depression or embossing is formed in the magnetic sheet.
- This is arranged axially parallel to the axial center of the short-circuit release to allow the required space for the adjacent coil turns.
- the required cross section can vary as far as required by the design of the coil. This also allows to optimize the installation space in the overall unit and to allow manufacturing tolerances.
- a corresponding clearance in the terminal connection is a prerequisite for the implementation of the embossing on the magnetic sheet.
- a recess is also provided, so that the coil end can be welded directly to the terminal connection. Due to the individual pairing of the parts made of magnetic sheet and terminal connection, this separate recess can be made. This allows an optimized welded connection and a lower electrical resistance, because it can be used to weld two similar materials. A Versch Seriesung directly to the magnetic plate or a platinized strip material causes a significant deterioration of the magnetic circuits and leads to increased manufacturing costs by a possible additional welding.
- Another option is to use a bent welding area on the terminal connection, which in this way provides an area that can be used to connect the parts.
- the size of this area is optimized after the necessary current transition and the lowest electrical resistance.
- a welded joint can be implemented here, as well as a solder joint.
- the items made of magnetic sheet and terminal connection can be treated as bulk material, these can, but do not have to be positively connected with each other.
- the parts can be placed inside each other and inserted conclusively in the bobbin, so that the magnetic sheet is pressed directly to the pole face from below.
- a firm connection of the parts is costly, by the accurate installation or by the exact fit impressions in the mold cavity of the bobbin this is bypassed.
- the short-circuit release according to the invention for high switching capacities has both an optimized magnetic circuit and an improved coil connection in the production process.
- the coil terminals which are set by means of welded joints on the same side of the short-circuit release, contribute to an optimized manufacturing process.
- the additionally used magnetic plate allows a good magnetic design, whereby the electrical loss is reduced. This results in a total standard-compliant switching device for high switching performance, which has both an improved magnetic circuit, as well as an optimized manufacturing process allows.

Abstract
Description

- In
- In
