Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verstellvorrichtung (10) zum Verstellen der relativen Drehwinkellage einer Nockenwelle gegenüber einer Kurbelwelle innerhalb eines vorgegebenen Winkelbereichs, wobei die Verstellvorrichtung (10) eine Vorrichtung zum Notbetrieb (20) der Verstellvorrichtung (10) aufweist. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich ferner dadurch aus, dass die Vorrichtung zum Notbetrieb (20) eine Freilaufeinrichtung (22) umfasst, die in einem Notbetrieb der Verstellvorrichtung (10) aktivierbar ist und in einem aktivierten Zustand eine Verstellbewegung der Nockenwelle gegenüber der Kurbelwelle aus der aktuellen Stellung in einer ersten Richtung (D) zu einer Notlaufstellung hin zu erlauben und eine Verstellbewegung in einer hierzu entgegengesetzten zweiten Richtung zu blockieren vermag.
