Definitions
- the cylinders are provided with interchangeable elevators (or "jackets") which are microstructured and anti-adhesive coated.
- the microstructure reduces the contact surface between the elevator and substrate and improves due to the roughness of the guide of the substrate.
- An anti-adhesive seal reduces the paint acceptance property of the elevator.
- a tensioning mechanism for elevators is z. B. in the US Pat. No. 7,641,194 B2 disclosed.
- a mechanism for changing lifts is z. B. in the US 7,287,750 B2 disclosed.
- the DE 10 2005 060 734 A1 discloses an anti-adhesion layer of crosslinked nanoparticles and a method of preparation.
- the non-stick layer is produced by the known sol-gel process, hard particles being added to the layer formers for a particularly high level of wear resistance. The particles can be around
- the DE 10 2005 037 338 A1 discloses a non-stick coating and a method of making the same.
- the following layers are arranged on a substrate: a pre-primer, a main primer with inclusions, an intermediate cover layer comprising silicone compounds and a main top layer, also containing silicone compounds.
- the substrate is pretreated, eg by sandblasting.
- the deposits are mixed in as particles in the starting material and produce a surface structure that is to favor the non-stick effect.
- the main primer layer may consist of several layers.
- the deposits may consist of ceramic, metal, silicate or glass and have a particle size of 5 to 50 micrometers. However, it is not described that more than one layer of the main primer layer has inclusions. Quantitative data on the roughness of the substrate are not made.
- the JP 2000-016611 A discloses a roller with a metal core and a rubber jacket. Below the rubber sheath a colored layer is arranged. When the rubber jacket wears out, the colored layer appears locally and shows the wear locally due to the color change.
- a printed material contacting, structured surface having a substrate and at least one layer, wherein the layer comprises at least two layers and one of the two layers contains particles, characterized in that both layers contain particles that the particles of both layers has a mean size of less than about 2 microns and that the substrate has a structure with an R z of between about 20 microns and about 40 microns.
- the substrate or the carrier has a (coarse) structuring.
- R Z value a generated, structured by galvanic shaping, and therefore rough substrate is provided.
- the substrate is preferably nickel, and preferably has a thickness between about 200 microns and about 400 microns.
- aluminum or another metal or a ceramic may also be provided as the material for the substrate.
- the patterning may be generated by thermal spraying, lasering, (sand) blasting, engraving or embossing.
- the structuring is preferably provided with a chromium layer, ie chromed.
- the chromium layer preferably has a thickness between about 2 microns and about 15 microns.
- a layer which consists of two layers.
- the two layers are advantageously applied in separate steps and in succession. This separate application of the two layers leads to an overall more stable and wear-resistant layer, since cracking can be prevented. Cracks can e.g. occur when layers that are too thick are created in a job step. Stored particles in the individual layers also contribute to the reduction of internal stresses and therefore again to avoid cracking.
- the upper, first layer preferably has a thickness between about 0.5 microns and about 8 microns.
- the lower, second layer also preferably has a thickness between about 0.5 microns and about 8 microns.
- the lower layer also serves advantageously as an adhesion promoter between the coarse-structured substrate and the upper layer. The particles projecting superficially from the lower layer after their production advantageously improve the adhesion between the two layers. This can be attributed to mechanical effects (clamping of both layers).
- Both layers preferably comprise a sol-gel material, i. They are preferably produced in a sol-gel process.
- a sol-gel e.g. the product "H5163" from FEW Chemicals in Bitterfeld-Wolfen can be used.
- both layers contain embedded particles, i. a sol-gel / particle bilayer is provided.
- the particles are preferably hard particles and especially pigments which increase wear resistance.
- Both layers preferably have substantially equal particles (i.e., same material and same average size).
- the particles preferably have a mean size between about 0.1 microns and about 0.5 microns, especially about 0.3 microns.
- the particles because of their average size of less than about 2 micrometers (more preferably less than about 1 micrometer), provide for fine patterning of the surface in addition to the above coarse patterning.
- the fine structuring lies here in the range below 2 microns.
- An advantageous lower limit for the fine structuring has been found to be 0.1 micrometer.
- the superficial protruding from the upper layer and the (fine) structure-generating particles improve the wear resistance of the surface crucial.
- the contact points between surface and substrate are reduced to the small and hard particles. In between, there is essentially no contact with the printing material. Therefore, the sol-gel layer is less stressed and retained longer.
- the pigments also enhance the sol-gel network and therefore contribute to its improved wear resistance.
- the proportion of the particles in the sol-gel is preferably between about 20% and about 60%, in particular about 50% (proportion of pigments based on the solids content of the sol-gel).
- the use of the particles in the lower layer causes possible cracks in the chromium layer to close better and be covered by the sol-gel.
- the particles act as anchors for the sol-gel and due to the high number of particles the sol-gel finds correspondingly many anchor points. As a result, it adheres firmly to the underlying layer or layer and forms a layer or layer of a minimum thickness.
- both layers are thinner in the region of mountains of the structure of the substrate than in the region of valleys of the structure of the substrate and each have a thickness of more than 0.5 micrometers in the region of the peaks. It is advantageous that cracks in the area of the structure peaks are also covered by the particles and in this way serve as anchors for a double layer with a given minimum thickness. In this way, it can be prevented that the mountains are coated with a sol-gel layer to a small thickness and that cracks in the chromium layer continue after curing of the sol-gel layer in the sol-gel layer and reduce their wear resistance ,
- pigments based on cobalt aluminates or iron-cobalt are used.
- Such particles have a blue color and therefore color the surface blue (iron-cobalt: black).
- the coloring can be used with advantage to indicate progressive wear by exposing a deeper, particulate, and therefore undyed layer locally.
- the dyeing can advantageously help to distinguish a cylinder elevator according to the invention when replacing another elevator and thereby avoid confusion.
- other particles can be used, for example iron-cobalt, SiC, SiN or SiCN.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic sectional view of a preferred embodiment of a surface according to the invention 1.
- the surface is designed as a flexible cylinder elevator 2 and on a transport cylinder 3 of a printing material processing machine, for.
- a sheet-processing lithographic offset printing machine recorded, for example, clamped as a so-called jacket.
- the surface 1 comprises a substrate 4 made of nickel.
- the substrate has a structuring 5 (mountains and valleys) produced by galvanic molding.
- the nickel substrate is chrome plated, i. provided with a chromium layer 6.
- a sol-gel layer 7 is provided on the chromium layer 6, a sol-gel layer 7 is provided.
- the sol-gel layer has a lower layer 7a and a top layer 7b of sol-gel.
- particles 8 are embedded in cobalt aluminate.
- FIG. 1 It can be seen that the two layers 7a and 7b approximately level the coarse structure 5. On the mountains of the structure 5, the two layers 7a and 7b are approximately thinner than in the valleys of the structure 5.
- FIG. 2 shows a schematic detail view of two layers 7a and 7b of a layer 7 of the surface 1. In both layers of particles 8 are embedded. By particles 8a on the surface of the lower layer 7a, there is a mechanical entanglement of the two layers and thereby to a firm adhesion of the upper layer to the lower layer.
- Particles 8b on the surface of the top layer 7b cause the coarse structure 5 (see FIG FIG. 1 ) a fine structure 9 (mountains and valleys) is superimposed.
- the surface 1 receives a plurality of the printing material-carrying, hard contact points 10th

Abstract
Description
US 7,641,194 B2 offenbart. B. in derUS 7,287,750 B2 offenbart.
JP 09-175703 A - Die
JP 2000-016611 A - Druckereien fordern immer weiter verbesserte Druckqualität und gesteigerte Produktivität.
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
- In
- In
