Definitions

  • the invention relates to a film for producing a packaging.
  • the invention further relates to a package made of a film according to the first paragraph.
  • the invention further relates to a method for packaging a packaged goods using a film according to the first paragraph.
  • Such a film mentioned at the outset or a packaging made therefrom is known, for example, from the published international patent application WO 91/06488 known.
  • a package is used for packaging a multi-piece packaged goods in the form of three waffles.
  • the package is disclosed as a tubular bag package having a top and a bottom transverse seam and a fin-type longitudinal seam extending between the top and bottom ends, the longitudinal seam being applied to the package.
  • the longitudinal sealing seam is produced by cold-sealing of two strip-shaped edge zones of the film which have been pressed on one another.
  • multi-piece packaged goods three wafers are disclosed, which are packed along the or parallel to the longitudinal sealing seam aligned side by side with the packaging.
  • the packaging of such packaged goods usually takes place on high-speed flow-pack machines.
  • the packaging can be torn by tearing on the handle tab strips and the thus exposed waffles can then be removed.
  • the known packaging has the problem that it is often not intuitive for a user to see how the package is to be opened. This particular because the opening aid is formed only in a limited area of the film. Consequently, not only a misuse (an arbitrary tearing operation at any point in the package) but also a planned use of the packaging usually leads to unsightly cracking or breakage formation in the packaging, which ultimately leads to a lesser product impression for the user. In most cases, part of the opened package will hang in a more or less arbitrary orientation on another part of the package, which is held with one hand. Since the sealing zone often represents the strongest part of the packaging, the two incompletely separated parts of the packaging usually adhere to one another over an area of the sealing zone. A complete separation of the two parts requires a corresponding reworking of the user, which is often perceived as disturbing and annoying.
  • CH 651 795 A5 discloses a tubular packaging, which has slots in its Lijnsgueenaht, which extend to the outer edge of the longitudinal sealing seam and are also located in the region of the transverse sealing seam.
  • the object of the invention is therefore a film or laminate for packaging a packaged product, preferably a waffle-like packaged product, wherein the film has a first edge zone bounded by a first film edge and a second edge zone bounded by a second film edge and the two edge zones in the longitudinal direction of Foil are oriented, wherein the two edge zones during packaging of the packaged goods to bring into contact with each other and used to produce a longitudinal longitudinal seal oriented in the packaging and serve in the first edge zone, a first opening zone at a distance from the first film edge and in the second edge zone a second opening zone is formed at a distance from the second film edge, wherein the respective opening zone is formed within its edge zone so that the two opening zones within the longitudinal seam to be produced at least partially congruent, so that in the same congruent n a longitudinal sealing seam opening is formed, and wherein between the two opening zones a weakening zone is formed in the film.
  • the subject of the invention is a packaging for a packaged product, preferably for a waffle-like packaged goods, wherein the packaging is made of a film or a laminate according to the invention and the packaging has a longitudinal sealing seam oriented in the longitudinal direction of the film, wherein the longitudinal sealing seam through each other in contact forming a first edge zone and a second edge zone of the film is formed, wherein the first edge zone of a first film edge and the second edge zone of a second film edge is limited and both edge zones are oriented in the longitudinal direction of the film, and wherein in the first edge zone, a first opening at a distance from the first film edge and in the second edge zone, a second opening at a distance from the second film edge is formed and wherein the respective opening so within its edge zone is formed so that the two openings within the produced longitudinal sealing seam at least partially congruent to come and form a longitudinal sealing seam in the congruent area, and wherein between the two openings a weakening zone is formed in the film.
  • the subject matter of the invention is a method for packaging a packaged product with a film or a laminate according to the invention, the method having the following method steps, namely: a) feeding the film along its longitudinal direction, wherein the film delimits a first edge zone from a first Foil edge and a second edge zone limited by a second edge of the film and the two edge zones are oriented in the longitudinal direction, the two edge zones during packaging of the packaged goods to bring into contact with each other and serve to produce a longitudinal longitudinal seal oriented in said longitudinal direction of the package and in the first edge zone is formed a first opening at a distance from the first film edge and in the second edge zone, a second opening at a distance from the second film edge, wherein the respective opening is formed within its edge zone such that the two openings within the zuproduend a longitudinal sealing seam opening is formed in the congruent area, and wherein between the two openings a weakening zone is formed in the film, wherein the film is aligned with respect to the product to be packaged so that the following method
  • a waffle in its simplest form, is a flat pastry consisting essentially of flour and water, which is baked between two hot iron (waffle irons).
  • Waffle irons hot iron
  • waffles are also used as part of a product, e.g. B. a cuts used. A cut is formed by a plurality of superimposed wafers between which a layer of e.g. chocolate-containing mass. Such cuts may also be provided with a sugar-containing and / or chocolate-containing coating.
  • a film according to the invention can be supplied in the form of a roll.
  • the direction in which the film is pulled off the roll is referred to as the direction of travel. This direction corresponds to the longitudinal direction of the film.
  • opening zone is to be understood as two possible embodiments.
  • the term opening zone may indicate a portion of the film in which prior to manufacture of the package, e.g. when unwinding the film from its transport or storage role an opening is made. As soon as the packaging is formed, the opening in the film also exists. The unwound from its transport or storage roll film therefore has no opening in the opening zone.
  • the opening zone is the area in which an opening is to be created when using the film. Such a production of the opening is carried out only when you use it in a packaging company.
  • the term opening zone may indicate a portion of the film in which the film has already been used in the manufacture of the film, e.g. before winding the film on its transport or storage role an opening was made.
  • the opening zone is the area in which an opening already exists when using the film. Such a production is already carried out during its manufacture in a film production plant.
  • Sealing seams of the packaging can be produced by heat sealing of adjacent ones be made thermoplastic areas of the film.
  • adhesive-containing areas of the film such as the first and the second edge zone of the film, pressed together with pressure.
  • cold-sealing in particular also approved for food contact adhesive.
  • a solvent-free or solvent-containing adhesive having a bond strength of 3N / 15mm may be used.
  • the DIN53357 standard is mentioned here.
  • both the first and the second opening or opening zone at a respective distance - which may be the same size as the other distance or different in size compared to the other distance - are located to the film edge, allows a reliable Maschinenbeckkeit of the film a high-speed flow-pack machine. Due to the opening-free area along the respective film edge, the film acquires the necessary stability for use on such a flow-pack machine.
  • the safety zone created by the opening-free region along the respective film edge is formed on both sides along the entire film and provides the necessary stability which is required for folding the film along the longitudinal direction around the article to be packaged, since extreme stresses occur at the two edges of the film , This reliably prevents unwanted tearing at the edge of the film.
  • the two openings produced in the respective opening zones may be identically shaped or identically produced (ie produced using the same technique).
  • both openings may have been produced by a cutting process or by a punching process. The difference is that in a punching process, a larger opening width is achieved because material is punched out of the film, whereas in one cut only one area of the film is separated from another area without removing material from the film.
  • one of the two openings or both openings can be made by the action of a laser beam. This can be advantageous if the weakening zone is also produced by the same laser light source and thus an efficient, because multiple use of a working fluid is given.
  • the two openings or opening zones are defined or formed substantially at the same position, so that when the film is folded or folded transversely to the longitudinal direction around the packaged goods to be packaged - ie during tube formation - said longitudinal seam opening in the longitudinal seam to be produced arises as soon as the first and second marginal zones are stacked and sealed together.
  • substantially in the same position in the present case means that the two openings or opening zones can also have a local offset in the longitudinal direction, but the offset must be smaller than the larger of the two opening widths measured in the longitudinal direction, so that said longitudinal sealing seam opening can be produced ,
  • the opening initiation aid is formed by the longitudinal sealing seam opening in the finished longitudinal sealing seam of the packaging.
  • the opening initiation aid is preferably free of any additional openings or weakenings in the film which run in the longitudinal direction. This prevents tearing of the longitudinal sealing seam by a user in a different than the planned manner
  • Packaging immediately recognizes through the visually and ductile perceptible longitudinal seam opening that the opening of the packaging in the longitudinal seam has to begin. By pulling the longitudinal sealing seam opening apart, the longitudinal sealing seam begins to tear and is first completely separated into two parts, after which two cracks in the film propagate following the weakening zone.
  • the invention thus realizes a film and a packaging made therefrom with opening initiation aid, which allows initiating the opening process starting at the longitudinal sealing seam, wherein the longitudinal sealing seam is first completely - preferably transversely to the longitudinal direction - broken so that two separate L josssiegelnahtmaschine are obtained , And then a division of the packaging by further pulling apart of the two parts of the package - preferably by pulling apart the two separated L josssiegelnahtmaschine - is possible, wherein in the pulling apart of the parts of the package, starting from the broken longitudinal seam two spaced apart cracks in the Packaging - following the weakening zone - spread.
  • the film itself can accordingly be made stable and thick in order to easily provide or ensure the required barrier properties can.
  • the already torn film can namely well along the weakening zone, which serves as a circumferential predetermined breaking point tear further.
  • the packaging can be easily broken into two parts, wherein the final demolition of the film parts, where the package is separated into two parts, in a region outside the longitudinal sealing seam - preferably on that of the longitudinal sealing seam opposite side of the package - is displaced.
  • the entire tear-off can with the one hand, a part of the longitudinal sealing seam and be held with the other hand, the other part of the longitudinal sealing seam.
  • a possible offset of the edge areas and thus the two openings can therefore hardly be present in the longitudinal direction. Rather, it is to be expected with a possible offset in the transverse direction, but this can be compensated in a simple manner by choosing a corresponding size of the openings.
  • an at least partially congruent positioning of openings in the edge zone of the film to be used as a transverse sealing seam would only have to be ensured with relatively high outlay and extremely unreliable, since here the required accuracy in superimposing individual components to be sealed with one another is customary Areas is not given and can be expected with an offset of the two openings in each direction.
  • the longitudinal sealing seam and the weakening zone can be situated at any desired position along the packaged goods to be packaged, which may be in one piece in the longitudinal direction, it has proved to be particularly advantageous if the longitudinal seam opening and the weakening zone in the finished manufactured packagings a head region or in a foot region adjacent to the respective transverse sealing seams are positioned. Positioned there, for the first time, an opening process is made possible in which a relatively small part of the packaging in the form of a cap can be separated from another, relatively large part of a packaging. Especially with elongated waffles oriented in the longitudinal direction, the advantage is obtained here that the waffles can still be held well with the remaining major portion of the package and pushed out as needed by the cap exposed access at the foot or head end of the package.
  • the longitudinal sealing seam opening produced during the packaging and the weakened zone can still be highlighted by a corresponding imprint on the film, wherein the imprint can be produced in a simple manner already with the usual printing of the film with various motifs and details of the product. Also, therefore, no additional operation is necessary.
  • the visual accentuation of the opening initiation zone and / or the attenuation zone facilitates its precise location for a user of the package.
  • the weakening zone may be continuous, that is continuous (e.g., in the form of a solid line), or discontinuous (e.g., in the form of weakened segments or lines spaced apart in a line).
  • discontinuous formation of the weakened zone the advantage is obtained that the non-weakened regions between the weakened regions increase the stability of the film for processing and use as a package.
  • the non-weakened areas, e.g. Web-like regions between segments of the weakening lines stabilize the mechanical properties of the film and thus facilitate its processing.
  • the shape of the line may be straight, curved or serrated or zigzagged.
  • the manufacture of the package from the film may e.g. by means of a suitably adapted horizontal-form-fill-and-seal machine or vertical-form-fill-and-seal machine.
  • Another aspect of the invention solves a long-standing problem in the packaging of multi-piece packaged goods.
  • the known solution proves to be problematic because only a piece of the packaged goods can be wrapped with a part of the packaging with one hand.
  • the other piece of the packaged goods must be gripped with a bare hand or with a tissue paper or similar objects to prevent contamination of the gripping fingers of the hand removing the piece of packaged goods.
  • the user must therefore resort to tools to prevent contamination of the hand or his fingers.
  • the invention discussed above can also be used in a further development.
  • the packaged goods are multi-piece and two pieces of the packaged goods are arranged side by side along a separation zone.
  • the orientation of the separation zone extends in the transverse direction, in particular at an angle of 90 ° to the longitudinal direction of the film used for packaging.
  • the orientation may also deviate from an angle of 90 ° and e.g. in a range up to 10 ° relative to the longitudinal direction.
  • Their direction or orientation ultimately depends on the shape and / or orientation of the juxtaposed areas of the two pieces of the packaged goods.
  • the width of the separating zone can have a value of a few mm to a few cm and corresponds to the width which has the area covered by the contiguous contour of the two pieces.
  • two pieces but also three, four or more than four pieces can be arranged side by side and several such arrangements are parallel to each other.
  • Each piece may, for example, have a length of 1 to 20 cm and a width or thickness of 0.5 to 5 cm.
  • the two openings or opening zones are now located corresponding to the separation zone and / or the weakening zone follows the separation zone or its orientation within the separation zone.
  • the two openings or opening zones are therefore located within that region of the film which comes to lie above or below the separation zone of the two pieces in the packed packaged goods.
  • the advantageous positioning of the openings or opening zones and / or the weakening zone allows a purposeful destruction of the Longitudinal sealing seam - ie the strongest zone of the package - by an intuitive tearing of the longitudinal sealing seam in the transverse seal in the region of the longitudinal seam opening, a subsequent tearing of adjacent to the longitudinal seam portions of the film along the weakening zone by further pulling apart the already separated parts of the longitudinal sealing seam, and a gripping the two still packed parts of the packaged goods, as well as a break-unfolding and pulling the two still packaged parts of the packaged goods, wherein the two separated parts of the longitudinal sealing seam are further apart and wherein only the respective crack in the film is continued along the weakening zone, which can be done with relatively little effort.
  • the longitudinal sealing seam can be positioned within or slightly outside the separation zone.
  • the weakening zone either the longitudinal sealing seam or the weakening zone may be located inside or outside the separation zone. This can be used, for example, to obtain a piece of the packaged item which is largely protected by one part of the package, while the other piece of packaging can still be kept well protected by the other part of the package, but at the same time via this part of the package, favorable for immediate consumption - sticks out.
  • the openings or opening zones and / or the weakening zone are positioned corresponding to the separation zone, according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the two openings or opening zones corresponding to a positioned within the separation zone separating line positioned, wherein the dividing line between the two pieces of the packaged goods extends.
  • the weakening zone also corresponds to the dividing line located within the separation zone.
  • the opening or parts of the package can be carried out more precisely, whereby the course of the packaging edge obtained by dividing the packaging can be adjusted relatively precisely to the course of the dividing line between the two pieces of the packaged product, ie an aesthetic fracture of the packaging on the one hand
  • the dividing line between the pieces of packaged goods follows, and on the other hand, a functionally favorable access to the pieces of the packaged goods is obtained because the two parts of the package or only marginally beyond the pieces protrude.
  • Another aspect of the invention relates to the structure of the film, wherein the film as an outer layer having a plastic layer and as an inner layer which points in the packaged with the foil packaged goods to the packaged, or as part of such an inner layer has a barrier layer and the weakening zone extends only outside the inner layer of the film or even into the inner layer, wherein in each case the barrier function of the film must remain undamaged.
  • a barrier situation is not absolutely necessary.
  • the weakening zone may be formed on the outside of the film or on the inside of the film.
  • the barrier function of the film ensures that there is no inadvertent or unwanted transport of material from the packaged product to the environment of the pack or from the environment of the pack to the packaged product.
  • the film or the laminate may have a reverse-printed polymer film as the outer layer, which in addition to customary product-specific imprints has a marking imprint for marking and improved recognition of the weakened zone.
  • the film may comprise a metallized polymer film as an inner layer bonded to the reverse printed polymeric film via an adhesive layer in contact with the metallization.
  • the resulting adhesive-laminated laminate may additionally have, on its inner side, which faces the product, a lacquer which is suitable for food contact is allowed.
  • cold-sealing zones are formed, which serve for producing the sealing seams for the sealed packaging.
  • the aforementioned metallized polymer film may be replaced by another film - e.g. an aluminum foil - which has a lacquer on its side facing the product, which is approved for food contact.
  • the zone of weakening may be generated by mechanical scoring, which may extend through the reverse printed polymeric film (eg, OPP) (corresponding to the outside of the package), the adhesive layer, and all the way to the metallized polymer film, and the metallization remains undamaged.
  • the metallization is in contact with the adhesive layer in this layer construction and the polymer of the metallized polymer film is in contact with the packaged product.
  • this scribe can also be generated by the action of a low-energy laser, which is then reflected on the metallization, so that the barrier function is maintained.
  • the weakening zone also extends only as far as this aluminum foil in analogy to the explanations in the preceding paragraph.
  • the weakening zone is formed only outside the inner layer of the film, that is, for example, only in the outer layer and further intermediate layers.
  • a designed weakening zone for example, relatively simple and inexpensive and above all very quickly and with high reproducibility using a laser beam (eg a CO 2 laser) are produced, which evaporates the material of the outer layer and optionally further intermediate layers and on the metallic or metallized layer or generally on a layer with different optical properties compared to the overlying layers is reflected.
  • the weakening zone can also extend into the inner layer, in which case the tightness of the film with respect to its barrier function must remain undamaged.
  • a manufacturing method for a weakening zone is used, in which the inner layer is not penetrated.
  • Such a method is given for example by a stamping process.
  • the laser beam then removes, for example, the outer layer and possibly further intermediate layers, and the embossing tool then finally embosses the inner layer.
  • the layer that realizes the barrier function may also be an intermediate layer, so that the weakening zone may extend as far as this intermediate layer. If the weakening zone is formed on the inside of the film, then statements made in the preceding also apply correspondingly to this case. Accordingly, the generation of the weakening zone then takes place from the inside.

  • the two openings are formed linearly in the edge zones and the orientation of the lines runs in an angular range of 90 ° ⁇ 30 ° or even more relative to the longitudinal direction.
  • This allows a variable design of the shape of the longitudinal sealing seam opening.
  • the length of the longitudinal sealing seam opening must always be shorter than the width of the longitudinal sealing seam measured in the transverse direction to the longitudinal direction. This may obscure the desired intuitive approach to tearing open the package in a narrow longitudinal seam, and it may therefore be more convenient to have another angle in the range of e.g. Select 30 ° relative to the longitudinal direction, because then the length of the longitudinal sealing seam opening may even be greater than the width of the longitudinal sealing seam.
  • one of the openings or opening zones is offset in the respective edge zone off-center relative to the center of the respective edge zone towards the respective edge of the film.
  • the weakening zone extends from the first opening or opening zone up to the second opening or opening zone.
  • the openings or opening zones thus form the extension of the weakening zone.

  • a packaged goods 3 is fed one after the other.
  • the film 2 is unwound and fed in its longitudinal direction LR.
  • the respective packaged goods 3 is pushed as a unit consisting of the two separate pieces 3A and 3B under the tapered film 2 and in a so-called forming box 34 (also referred to as a turnover and sealing stage, which is used to produce the Longitudinal seam 14 is formed), the two film edges 17 and 18 are folded under the packaged 3, so that both edge zones 15 and 16 come to lie looking each other, and ultimately the adhesive-coated two edge zones 15 and 16 pressed together, so that the longitudinal sealing seam 14 is created. Furthermore, the generated longitudinal seam 14 between two transport rollers (below the HFFS machine 31 - therefore not visible) continues.
  • the second (foot-side) transverse seam 7 of a first, preceding package 1 is produced in one operation, this package 1 separated from a second, subsequent package 1 and the first (head-side) transverse seal 6 of this subsequent package 1 generated. Thereafter, the separated packages 1 are transported on a conveyor belt 36.
  • the HFFS machine 31 also has so-called film feed rollers 37 for controlled feeding of the film 2 and a packaged goods conveying stage 38 for conveying the packaged product 3.
  • the individual drives (not shown in detail), for example, the drive for the promotion of the packaged goods 3, for the rotation of the roller 32 for the transport rollers is controlled by a control stage 39.
  • the control stage 39 generates control signals S i for the purpose of controlling said drives.
  • the control stage 39 also receives sensor signals Pi from the individual sensors (not shown: eg light barriers or cameras for image recognition or sensors for the detection of pressure control marks), so that with the aid of the control stage 39, the film 2 is positioned with respect to the packaged product 3, that the two openings 27 and 28 and the weakening zone 8 corresponding to or within the separation zone 26A is located.
  • control stage 39, the roller 33 together with the film feed rollers 37, the product conveying stage 38 and the transport rollers, as well as their drives and sensors form a feed system 40, which is designed for said positioning of the film with respect to the packaged goods that an inventive packaged goods 3 packaged with said inventive packaging 1 produced from said film 2 according to the invention is obtained.
