- the present invention relates to a watch movement comprising a frame carrying a barrel containing a mainspring, a finishing gear, an escapement mechanism and a sprung balance.
- a watch movement is likely to receive various "complications", a name given by watchmakers to all additional mechanisms intended to indicate time intervals other than hours, minutes and seconds. These mechanisms are often constituted by additional modules that are reported on the watch movement and are connected to it by one of its mobiles, the gear train or the timer. In some cases, the presence of a second hand and thus a second wheel in the center may be an obstacle to the additional mechanism that is to be provided with the watch movement. In other cases, the seconds wheel at the center of the watch movement is not annoying and is desired. The disadvantage comes from the fact that it is necessary to have two different clock movements to meet these requirements. Two different watch movements involve two separate production lines.
