Capsule (1) pour la préparation d'une boisson, par exemple du café, comprenant un élément creux destiné à contenir une dose, p.ex. de café moulu, ledit élément creux comprenant une paroi latérale (2), une paroi supérieure (3) et une paroi inférieure (4) comportant une membrane d'extraction; la paroi supérieure (3) comportant sur sa face interne une zone d'affaiblissement (11) adaptée de manière à subir un déplacement lorsqu'un élément externe (12) exerce une force sur elle, offrant de la sorte un passage d'écoulement de liquide entre l'extérieur et l'intérieur de la capsule (1).

Description

CAPSULE POUR LA PREPARATION D'UNE BOISSON
Domaine de l'invention
La présente invention se situe dans le domaine de la préparation de boissons, p.ex. à base de café, par extraction d'une dose concentrée, p. ex. de café moulu, contenue dans une capsule. Elle se rapporte plus particulièrement aux doses utilisées à cet effet ainsi qu'aux dispositifs utilisant de telles doses.
Etat de la technique Des capsules et des machines fonctionnant selon le principe précité existent depuis de nombreuses décennies.
Les brevets US 2 899 886, US 2 968 560, US 3 403 617 et US 3 607 297 décrivent des dispositifs où la capsule est initialement perforée en plusieurs endroits, puis traversée par de l'eau sous pression.
La capsule décrite dans le brevet CH 605 293 ou dans le brevet EP 0 242 556 B1 comporte une membrane dans sa partie inférieure. De l'eau sous pression est initialement introduite dans la partie supérieure de la capsule, après percement de ladite capsule au moyen d'un élément tranchant (p.ex. une lame), ce qui entraîne un gonflement de la capsule, principalement au niveau de la membrane. A partir d'une certaine pression, la membrane se déchire, autorisant de la sorte l'écoulement d'un mélange eau-café.
D'autres capsules munies d'une membrane sont décrites dans les documents brevets suivants : EP 0 468 079 A, EP 0 806 373 A, EP 0 554 469 A.
Exposé général de l'invention
La présente invention comporte plusieurs améliorations par rapport aux capsules de l'état de la technique-
A cet effet, elle concerne une capsule pour la préparation d'une boisson, par exemple du café, comprenant un élément creux destiné à contenir une dose, p.ex. de café moulu, ledit élément creux comprenant une paroi latérale, une paroi supérieure et une paroi inférieure comportant une membrane d'extraction; la paroi supérieure comportant sur sa face interne une zone d'affaiblissement adaptée de manière à subir un déplacement lorsqu'un élément externe exerce une force sur elle, offrant de la sorte un passage d'écoulement de liquide entre l'extérieur et l'intérieur de la capsule.
Un des avantages offert par la présente invention réside dans la possibilité de ménager des passages d'écoulement de liquide de section suffisamment large. Cela vaut particulièrement pour des capsules constituées d'un matériau biodégradable. Celui-ci a tendance à se gonfler en présence de liquide. En l'absence d'une zone d'affaiblissement de section suffisamment large le percement de la capsule par un élément tranchant n'autorise pas un écoulement suffisant du liquide au travers de la zone percée. En dotant la capsule selon l'invention d'une zone d'affaiblissement de section large, la présence d'un espace d'écoulement est garantie.

L'invention est décrite plus en détail ci-après au moyen d'exemples non-limitatifs illustrés par les figures suivantes :

II convient de relever en particulier les caractéristiques suivantes liées à la capsule selon l'invention :
a) Renforcement de la partie supérieure de la capsule par une architecture dite « poutraison », « renfort » ou « charpente » qui a pour but de renforcer la capsule à la pression de l'eau ainsi que lors de sa perforation. Il est également possible d'obtenir une structure renforcée au moyen de plis de matière. La renforcement de la rigidité peut également être obetnu par une architecture de type « poutraison » ou « charpente » concave à la capsule (voir figure 2). Avec cette structure, il est possible de diminuer la quantité de matière utilisée, p.ex. de matière biodégradable, des matières fines type PET, métal, ou tout autre matière à base des dérivés du pétrole.
b) L'intérieur de la capsule présente des éléments internes saillants ou une collerette circonférentielle qui ont pour fonction d'éviter un coincement lors de l'empilement des capsules à vide, préalablement à leur remplissage en usine. Ces mêmes éléments saillants offrent par ailleurs un renfort latéral de la capsule, (voir Figure 4).
c) A l'extérieur de la capsule, en regard de chaque élément saillant ou d'une collerette circonférentiel, un évidement est créé ce qui permet de renforcer les parties latérales de la capsule par effet de charpente, tout en économisant de la matière, (voire coupe) et permet notamment d'utiliser de la matière biodégradable et des matières fines type PET, métal, ou tout autre matière dérivée du pétrole. Le renfort latéral de la capsule peut aussi être créé par des plis de la matière (voir figure 5-6).
d) La partie latérale extérieure de la capsule présente des pants qui peuvent s'étendre jusque vers la partie inférieure de la capsule ou à une certaine distance sur la hauteur. Dans cette variante également, il est donc possible d'économiser de la matière tout en renforçant les parties latérales de la capsule (voir Figure 7- 8).
En résumé, tous les systèmes de renfort mentionnés ci-dessus permettent d'être rigide avec moins de matière utilisée et d'utiliser avantageusement des matières biodégradables ou tout autre matière de type (PET, Métal), ou toute autre matière dérivée du pétrole. La partie supérieure interne de la capsule est munie d'un bourrelet de matière au niveau des éléments perçants de la capsule (voir figure 4). Sur les flans du bourrelet sont disposés des amorces de fissure. Lorsque qu'un élément perçant exerce une pression suffisante au niveau du bourrelet les amorces de fissure éclatent ce qui a pour effet de laisser de l'eau pénétrer dans la capsule (voir figure 9-12).
L'invention ne se limite pas aux exemples illustrés.
N'importe quelle structure de renfort peut être envisagée.
De préférence, la capsule est formée d'un matériau biodégradable.
Avantageusement, le matériau biodégradable peut être d'origine végétale.
Selon une variante, le matériau comprend les composants suivants : Amidon (> 70 %), fibres, protéines, lipides, glycérine d'origine végétale, résines biodégradables.
Selon une autre variante, le matériau comprend les composants suivants : Amidon (> 70 %), fibres, protéines, lipides, résine biodégradable, colorant minéral.
A relever enfin que la capsule selon l'invention peut également être utilisée avec des dispositifs de l'état de la technique qui sont dotés de lames pour l'introduction de l'eau dans la capsule.

Claims

Revendications
1. Capsule (1 ) pour la préparation d'une boisson, par exemple du café, comprenant un élément creux destiné à contenir une dose, p.ex. de café moulu, ledit élément creux comprenant une paroi latérale (2) , une paroi supérieure (3) et une paroi inférieure (4) comportant une membrane d'extraction; la paroi supérieure (3) comportant sur sa face interne une zone d'affaiblissement (1 1 ) adaptée de manière à subir un déplacement lorsqu'un élément externe (12) exerce une force sur elle, offrant de la sorte un passage d'écoulement de liquide entre l'extérieur et l'intérieur de la capsule (1 ).
2. Capsule selon la revendication 1 dans laquelle ladite zone d'affaiblissement se présente sous la forme d'un bourrelet dont les bords ont une épaisseur inférieure à l'épaisseur moyenne de la paroi supérieure.
3. Capsule selon la revendication 1 ou 2 dans laquelle la section de la zone d'affaiblissement est supérieure à la section dudit élément externe.
4. Capsule selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3 comprenant des évidements latéraux auxquels sont associés des protubérances internes.
5. Capsule selon l'une des revendications précédentes comportant des éléments de renforcement de sa rigidité.
6. Capsule selon la revendication 5 dans laquelle lesdits éléments de renforcement sont disposés sur la paroi supérieure de la capsule.
7. Capsule selon la revendication 5 ou 6 dans laquelle lesdits éléments de renforcement sont disposés sur la paroi latérale de la capsule.
8. Capsule pour la préparation d'une boisson, par exemple du café, constituée d'un matériau biodégradable comprenant les éléments suivants : Amidon (> 70 %), fibres, protéines, lipides et au moins une résine biodégradable.
