Description
- Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf das Gebiet der Verbrennungstechnik. Sie betrifft ein Verfahren zum Verbrennen von H2-reichen Brennstoffen gemäss dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.
- Aus der
WO-A1-2006/069861 ist ein Vormischbrenner mit nachfolgender Mischstrecke bzw. Mischrohr (ein so genannter AEV-Brenner) bekannt geworden, bei dem im gemässEP-A1-704 657 EP-A1 321 809 - Zur Verbrennung von H2-reichen Brennstoffen, wie sie beispielsweise in Form von Syngas bei der Kohlevergasung entstehen, ist bereits vorgeschlagen worden, wenigstens einen Teil des H2-reichen Brennstoffs über das Mischrohr eines solchen Vormischbrenners einzudüsen. Auch ist bereits ein solcher Vormischbrenners mit Erdgas im mageren Vormischbetrieb erprobt worden, bei dem unter hohem Druck zusätzlich H2-reiche Brennstoffe mit H2-zu-N2-Verhältnissen von 70/30 und 60/40 axial abgestuft im Vormischbrenner und im Mischrohr eingedüst worden sind.
- Bei diesen Erprobungen hat sich gezeigt, dass - wenn vom Erdgas vollständig auf den H2-reichen Brennstoff umgeschaltet wird - die Flamme sich stromaufwärts in das Mischrohr wandert. Obgleich der Brenner auf diese Weise ohne Beschädigungen und mit ausreichend niedrigem NOx-Ausstoss betrieben werden konnte, ergaben sich dennoch zahlreiche Nachteile, namentlich:
- Die Druckverluste im Vormischbrenner erhöhten sich um den Faktor 3. Dies ist bei Gasturbinen im Hinblick auf einen zugehörigen Gasturbinen-Kreislauf unerwünscht.
- Die zur Verfügung stehende Mischlänge, d.h. der Abstand zwischen dem Ort der Eindüsung des Brennstoffes und der Flammenfront, verringert sich, was zu einer erhöhten NOx-Emission führt.
- Hochfrequente Pulsationen gewinnen an Bedeutung. In diesem Zusammenhang sei erwähnt, dass die thermoakustischen Schwingungen eine Gefahr für jede Art von Verbrennungsanwendungen darstellen. Sie führen zu Druckschwingungen hoher Amplitude, zu einer Einschränkung des Betriebsbereiches, und sie können die Schadstoffemissionen erhöhen. Dies trifft insbesondere auf Verbrennungssysteme mit geringer akustischer Dämpfung zu, wie dies beispielsweise bei Ringbrennkammern mit schallharten Wänden der Fall ist. Um im Bezug auf Pulsationen und SchadstoffEmissionen eine hohe Leistungskonversion über einen breiten Betriebsbereich zu gewährleisten, müssen Vorkehrungen gegen diese Pulsationen getroffen werden.
- Es ist daher Aufgabe der Erfindung, ein Verfahren zur Verbrennung von H2-reichen Brennstoffen anzugeben, welches ein Zurückwandern der Flamme in den Brenner sowie Pulsationen sicher verhindert, auch während einer Umschaltung von Erdgas auf H2-reichen Brennstoffe.
- Die Aufgabe wird durch die Gesamtheit der Merkmale des Anspruchs 1 gelöst. Wesentlich für die Erfindung ist, dass zusätzlich zum H2-reichen Brennstoff eine geringe Menge Erdgas im Vormischbetrieb in die Brenneranordnung eingeführt und zusammen mit dem H2-reichen Brennstoff verbrannt wird.
- Eine Ausgestaltung des Verfahrens nach der Erfindung ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zunächst das Erdgas und der H2-reiche Brennstoff miteinander vermischt werden, und dass das resultierende Brennstoffgemisch in der Brenneranordnung mit Luft vermischt und verbrannt wird. Hierdurch kann vor allem das System der Brennstoffzuführung und -verteilung vereinfacht werden. Auch in diesem Fall kann vorzugsweise eine Brenneranordnung verwendet werden, welche einen Vormischbrenner und ein daran anschliessendes Mischrohr umfasst, wobei im Vormischbrenner aus der Luft und dem Brennstoffgemisch das Luft/BrennstoffGemisch erzeugt wird.
- Es wird eine Brenneranordnung verwendet, wie sie beispielsweise in der
WO-A1-2007/113074 offenbart ist, bei welcher im Rahmen einer sequentiellen Verbrennung eine Brennstofflanze in einen Heissgasstrom hineinragt, und wobei das Brennstoffgemisch über die Brennstofflanze, ggf. mit zusätzlicher Luft, in den Heissgasstrom eingedüst wird. Die in dieser Druckschrift dargestellten Brennstofflanzen (Fig. 2-6 ) sind für den Einsatz in der Niederdruck-Brennkammer (Pos. 14) konzipiert. Der Betrieb einer solchen Niederdruck-Brennkammer mit dem Einsatz einer oben beschriebenen Brennstofflanze bei einer sequentiell befeuerten Gasturbine geht beispielsweise ausEP 620 362 A1 - Die Erfindung soll nachfolgend anhand von Ausführungsbeispielen im Zusammenhang mit der Zeichnung näher erläutert werden. Alle für das unmittelbare Verständnis der Erfindung nicht erforderlichen Elemente sind weggelassen worden. Gleiche Elemente sind in den verschiedenen Figuren mit den gleichen Bezugszeichen versehen. Die Strömungsrichtung der Medien ist mit Pfeilen angegeben.

Fig. 1 ist in einer stark vereinfachten schematisierten Darstellung eine Brenneranordnung mit einem als Drallerzeuger ausgebildete Kopfstufe und einem anschliessenden Mischrohr wiedergegeben, bei welcher das zusätzliche Erdgas und der H2-reiche Brennstoff in Strömungsrichtung nacheinander eingedüst werden. Die Brenneranordnung 10 umfasst einen Drallerzeuger 11, der bisweilen auch als eigenständiger Vormischbrenner zum Einsatz gelangen kann, wobei dieser in an sich bekannter Weise kegelförmig ausgebildet ist, wie er beispielsweise inEP-A1-321 809 EP-A1-704 657 EP-A1-777 081 - Gemäss dem in
Fig. 1 gezeigten Ausführungsbeispiel wird in dem Vormischbrenner 11 im Vormischbetrieb eine geringe Menge Erdgas F1 eingedüst und mit Luft vermischt. Das Erdgas F1 wird über eine erste Brennstoffzuführung 17 zugeführt und kann beispielsweise mittels eines Ventils 19 auf den erforderlichen Massenstrom eingestellt werden. Der Hauptteil der Ausgangsleistung der Brenneranordnung 10 wird jedoch durch einen H2-reichen Brennstoff F2 bestritten, der über eine zweite Brennstoffzuführung 18 zur Eindüsvorrichtung 16 geleitet und dort in das Luft/Brennstoff-Gemisch 12 aus dem stromauf wirkenden Drallerzeuger 11 eingedüst. Wahlweise kann auch ein Anteil dieses H2-reichen Brennstoffes 18' in den Drallerzeuger 11 eingedüst werden, wie dies ausFig. 1 hervorgeht, wobei dessen Anteil typischerweise bis zu 30% ausmacht. Diese Art des Brennerbetriebs hat folgende Vorteile: - Der Druckverlustkoeffizient Zeta verringert sich von 2,8 auf 1,5, was einer starken Reduktion des Druckverlustes im Brenner entspricht.
- Die hochfrequenten Pulsationen (von 2 bis 4 kHz) sind praktisch eliminiert.
- Die NOx-Emissionen sind minimiert, dies aufgrund der Tatsache, dass die Flamme mit einem maximierten vorgemischten Luft/Brennstoff-Gemisch alimentiert wird.
- Die Brennstoffzuführungen 17 im Bereich des Drallerzeugers 11 für das Erdgas sind stets gespült, so dass ein Umschalten auf Erdgasbetrieb in kürzester Zeit möglich ist.
- Wenn die Flammenfront tatsächlich stromaufwärts in den Brenner wandert, verankert sie sich relativ weit stromabwärts im Mischrohr und brennt in einer stabilen und sicheren Weise. Wenn in einer Mehr-Brenner-Anordnung - wie sie in Gasturbinen üblich ist - eine Rückzündung ("flashback") bei einem Brenner auftritt, führt dies eher zu einem stabilen Zustand im Brenner, und nicht zu einer betriebsrelevanten negativen Entwicklung, bei welcher die Flammenfront noch weiter stromaufwärts wandert, bis eine Zerstörung des Brenners einsetzt, wie dies bei normalen Brennern immanent der Fall ist. Tritt dieser Zustand ein, so ist der Grund darin zu suchen, dass der betreffende Brenner blockiert und der Durchfluss an Luft abnimmt. Das bedeutet dann auch, dass ein einzelner Brenner zeitweise abgeschaltet und wieder neu gezündet werden kann. Der Betrieb der anderen Brenner in der Gasturbine werden dadurch nicht berührt.
- Der Grund, dass die Flammenfront hier gegenüber dem erfindungsgemäss eingesetzten Vormischbrenner 11 nicht zurückschlagen kann und dementsprechend nicht zu einer Zerstörung kommen kann, ist darin zu sehen, dass ebendiese Flammenfront eine feste örtliche Verankerung im Mischrohr 13 inne nimmt, dergestalt, dass sie auch nicht stromaufwärts kriechen kann; der Luftstrom wird dabei kaum beeinträchtigt.
- Während im Ausführungsbeispiel der
Fig. 1 das Erdgas F1 und der H2-reiche Brennstoff F2 separat und in axialer Abstufung in der Brenneranordnung 10 eingedüst werden, ist es auch denkbar, beide Brennstoffe gemässFig. 2 vor dem Eindüsen vorzumischen. Hierzu werden die beiden Brennstoffzuführungen 17 und 18 für die Brennstoffe F1 und F2 zusammengeführt und das entstehende Brennstoffgemisch wird dann einerseits im Drallerzeuger 11 und andererseits in der Eindüsvorrichtung 16 am Mischrohr 13 eingedüst. - Die Stabilisierung der Flammenposition und die damit verbundene Begrenzung der NOx-Emissionen und Vermeidung von Pulsationen mittels eines geringen Zusatzes an Erdgas lässt sich auch bei einer Gasturbine mit sequentieller Verbrennung zum Einsatz bringen, und zwar in der zweiten oder nachfolgenden Verbrennungsstufe. In
Fig. 3 ist eine Brennstofflanze 20 wiedergegeben, wie sie in der eingangs genanntenWO-A1-2007/113074 offenbart ist. Die Brennstofflanze 20 ragt in den Heissgastrom 26 aus einer vorhergehenden Verbrennungsstufe, die beispielsweise die inFig. 1 gezeigte Brenneranordnung umfassen kann. In der Brennstofflanze 20 sind ineinander ein Aussenrohr 21 und ein Innenrohr 22 angeordnet. Das Aussenrohr hat Eindüsungsöffnungen 23. Im Zwischenraum zwischen Innenrohr 22 und Aussenrohr 21 wird Luft 25 zugeführt, während durch das Innenrohr 22 eine Mischung aus dem H2-reichen Brennstoff F2 und dem geringen Anteil an Erdgas F1 eingeführt wird. Die sich bildende Luft/Brennstoff-Mischung tritt in den Heissgasstrom 26 aus und zündet dort unter Ausbildung einer Flamme. -
Fig. 4 zeigt in schematischer Darstellung eine Niederdruck-Brennkammer 27 bei einer durch sequentielle Verbrennung betriebenen Gasturbine. Eine solche Gasturbine geht beispielsweise aus einem Aufsatz von Joos, F. et al., "Field Experience of the Sequential Combustion System for the ABB GT24/GT26 Gasturbine Family", IGTI/ASME 98-GT-220, 1998 Stockholm, wobei die dortigeFig. 1 den Aufbau einer solchen Gasturbine zeigt. Des Weiteren wird auf eine Publikation in ABB Review 2/1997 (Seiten 4-14) hingewiesen, insbesondere auf Figur 15 (Seite 13), in welcher die Hauptkomponenten einer solchen Gasturbine ebenfalls dargestellt sind. Die Niederdruck-Brennkammer ist hier als "SEV Combustor" bezeichnet. Der Betrieb dieser Niederdruck-Brennkammer 27 ist auf Selbstzündung ausgelegt, d.h. die in die Brennkammer 27 einströmenden Heissgasstrom 26 weisen eine sehr hohe Betriebstemperatur auf, dergestalt, dass die Verbrennung des über mindestens eine Brennstofflanze 20 eingedüsten Brennstoffgemisches F1+F2 durch Selbstzündung erfolgt. Bei dieser Art von Verbrennung ist es wichtig, dass die Flammenfront in der stromab angeordneten Brennkammer 14 ortsmässig stabil bleibt. Auch zur Erreichung dieses Zieles werden in dieser Selbstzündungs-Brennkammer 27, vorzugsweise an der Innen- und Aussenwand in Umfangsrichtung angeordnet, eine Reihe von Elemente 28, sogenannte Wirbel-Generatoren, vorgesehen, welche in axialer Richtung vorzugsweise stromauf der Brennstofflanze 20, die grundsätzlich aus einem vertikalen Aussenrohrteil 21 und einem horizontalen Aussenrohrteil 21' besteht, platziert sind. Die Aufgabe dieser Elemente 28 besteht darin, Wirbel zu erzeugen, welche eine Rückstromzone induzieren. Die Ausgestaltung dieser Wirbel-Generatoren 28 sowie die Anordnung in der Brennkammer 27 gehen ausDE-44 46 611 A1 hervor. Hinsichtlich der verschiedenen Eindüsungsmöglichkeiten 29 des Brennstoffgemisches F1+F2 in die Brennkammer 27 wird grundsätzlich aufWO 2007/113074 A1 verwiesen. Eine weitere Möglichkeit ist inFig. 4 selbst ersichtlich, bei welcher die versinnbildlichten Brennstoffstrahlen 29 aus einer oder mehreren Eindüsungsöffnungen strömen, welche auf dem Umfang des axialen Aussenrohres 21' der Brennstofflanze 20 angeordnet sind und unter einen bestimmten Eindüsungswinkel α der oder die Brennstoffe in die strömenden Arbeitsgase 26 der Brennkammer 27 eindüsen. Vorzugsweise variiert dieser Eindüsungswinkel α zwischen 20° und 120° gegenüber der Oberfläche des horizontalen Aussenrohrteils 21' der Brennstofflanze 20, wobei aber auch Eindüsungswinkel unter 20° und über 120° möglich sind. Eine weitere Eindüsung der Brennstoffe F1 oder F1+F2 oder F2 ist stromab der Brennstofflanze 20 über die Eindüsungsvorrichtung 16 vorgesehen, welche ebenfalls über eine oder mehrere Eindüsungsöffnungen verfügt, wobei die Richtung der Brennstoffstrahlen 30 einen breiten Spektrum einnehmen können, wie dies ausFig. 4 hervorgeht, vorzugsweise weist die Eindüsung einen der Winkel α' zwischen 20° und 120° gegenüber der Oberfläche der Innenwand der Brennkammer 27, wobei auch Eindüsungswinkel unter 20° und über 120° möglich sind. Die Art des Betriebes dieser Brennkammer 27 betreffend die dort eingebrachten Brennstoffe und hinsichtlich der Eindüsungswinkel der Brennstoffstrahlen resp. der Brennstofföffnungen 29, 30 hängt von Faktoren ab, welche mit der sequentiellen Verbrennung im Zusammenhang stehen. Selbstverständlich kann die Einbringung der Brennstoffe gemässFig. 4 auch bei den vorangehenden beschriebenen Brennkammern gemässFig. 1 und2 in gleicher oder ähnlicher Art vorgesehen werden. Eine zusätzliche Einbringung einer Luftmenge, wie dies ausFig. 3 hervorgeht, ist auch beim Betrieb der Brennkammer 27 ausFig. 4 ebenfalls möglich und bei Bedarf auch vorgesehen. - Der erfindungsgemässe Gegenstand lässt sich mit besonderem Vorteil in einer Gasturbine mit mindestens einer Brennkammerstufe anwenden, wobei das erzeugte Heissgas in der Gasturbine unter Arbeitsleistung entspannt wird.

Claims (8)
- Verfahren zum Erzeugen von Heissgas zum Betrieb einer mit mindestens einer Brennkammer befeuerten Strömungsmaschine, bei welchem Verfahren mindestens ein Brennstoff über eine Brenneranordnung in die Arbeitsgase der Brennkammer eingebracht wird, wobei mindestens ein Brennstoff mit Luft vermischt wird, und wobei stromauf der Brennkammer (14) Elemente (11, 28) und Mischstrecken (13, 27) vorgesehen sind, welche einen Vormischbetrieb aufrechterhalten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass im Vormischbetrieb an mindestens einer Stelle (16, 20) ein Brennstoff bestehend aus einer Mischung aus Brenngas (F1) und H2-reichem Brennstoff (F2) in die Arbeitsgase (26) eingebracht wird, dass zunächst das Brenngas (F1) und der H2-reiche Brennstoff (F2) miteinander vermischt werden, und dass das resultierende Brennstoffgemisch in der Brenneranordnung (10, 20) mit Luft vermischt und verbrannt wird und dass eine Brenneranordnung verwendet wird, bei welcher im Rahmen einer sequentiellen Verbrennung eine Brennstofflanze (20) in einen in eine zweite Brennkammer (27) einströmenden Heissgasstrom (26) hineinragt, und dass das Brennstoffgemisch (F1 + F2) über die Brennstofflanze (20) in den Heißgasstrom eingedüst wird.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 zum Betrieb einer sequentiell befeuerten Gasturbine, wobei die zweite Brennkammer (27) durch eine auf Selbstzündung ausgelegte Verbrennung betrieben wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass mindestens die Brennstofflanze (20) mit dem Brennstoffgemisch (F1+F2) betrieben wird.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass stromab der Brennstofflanze (20) mindestens einer weitere Eindüsungsvorrichtung (16) angeordnet ist, welche mit dem Brennstoffgemisch (F1, F1+F2, F2) betrieben wird.
- Verfahren nach den Ansprüchen 2 und 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass mit dem Brennstoffgemisch ( F1+F2) eine Luftmenge (25) durch die Brennstofflanze (20) zugeführt wird.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Luft (25) separat geführt wird, oder dem Brennstoffgemisch (F1+F2) zugemischt wird.
- Verfahren nach den Ansprüchen 2-5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass stromauf der Brennstoffzuführung (16, 20) Wirbel-Generatoren (28) wirken.
- Verfahren nach den Ansprüchen 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Brennstofflanze (20) Brennstoffeindüsungen aufweist, wobei die Brennstoffeindüsungen (29, 30) unter einem beliebigen Winkel (α, α') erfolgen.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Brennstoffeindüsungen (29, 30) unter einem Winkel zwischen 20° und 120° betrieben werden.
