Fig. 1 stellt eine vereinfachte Teilschnittansicht eines Oberwalzen-Trag- und Belastungsarm 1 eines Streckwerkes mit pneumatisch belasteten Oberwalzen 5, 6, 7 dar. Die Oberwalzen 5, 6, 7 werden gegen zugeordnete, aus Vereinfachungsgründen nicht dargestellte Unterwalzen gedrückt, zwischen denen ein Faserband verstreckt wird. Auf diese Druckplatte 9 wird mittels eines schlauchartigen Druckkörpers 4, der sich zumindest über den durch das Justieren der Halteeinrichtungen 2 einstellbaren Feldweitenbereich erstreckt, eine Druckbelastung aufgebracht. Hierzu steht der als pneumatische Feder wirkende Druckkörper 4 direkt oder indirekt mit den Druckplatten 9 in Verbindung. Der Lenker 3 der jeweiligen Halteeinrichtung 2 ist vertikal auf- und abbewegbar geführt, so dass die Belastung, deren Größenordnung von der Größe der Drucklatte 9 abhängt, auf die jeweiligen Oberwalzen 5, 6, 7 übertragen wird.
