Definitions
- the invention relates to a tile for flooring or wall acoustic enhancement properties.
- Tile means a ceramic-based tile such as earthenware, terra-cotta, sandstone, a glass tile, a marble tile, a reconstituted stone slab, or a slab made of composite material rigid that is such that one can walk on the slab when it is a floor covering.
- the invention also relates to the coating obtained by the combination of several tiles with acoustic enhancement properties.
- the main difference is improvement by acoustic insulation and improvement by acoustic correction.
- Sound insulation reduces noise transmission from room to room, floor, ceiling or sidewalls. Sound insulation reduces mechanical noise, such as impact or impact noise, as well as airborne noise such as speakers or HiFi equipment:
- Acoustic correction reduces the noise in the room where the sound source is located. Acoustic correction is for mechanical noise and airborne noise. In the case of mechanical noise on a floor, it is called acoustic noise correction when walking.
- the floors are provided with acoustic underlayments on which the tiling type flooring is laid.
- acoustic underlayments on which the tiling type flooring is laid.
- cork slabs, or rubber-based underlays that are in the form of slabs or are constituted by a smoothing screed, or underlays based on generally synthetic fibers .
- the patent application FR 2,361,515 proposes to stick polystyrene plates on the ground then to pour a mortar screed made of a mixture of cement, sand and rubber. Once the screed dries, we stick on the tiles.
- the patent EP 0 413 626 B1 discloses a soundproofing slab with a hard surface facing the coating to be laid such as tiling, and support elastic reaction opposite. It comprises a dense and flexible sheet of supercharged fibers with a density of between 60 and 200 kg / m 3 which constitutes the elastic reaction medium, and a layer of bitumen reinforced by two thin layers of glass fibers anchored respectively in each of the faces of the bitumen layer to constitute the rigid face of the slab, the rigid layer having a thickness of about 5 to 6 mm with a basis weight of about 10 kg / m 2 .
- the document FR 2,693,221 proposes an isolation solution in the form of rolls.
- This underlayer has a main layer which is disposed on the side of the coating and a secondary layer which is arranged on the opposite side, ground side.
- the secondary layer is a material which is for example based on a polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane rubber (PUR), polyethylene (PE), butadiene-styrene rubber (SBR) polymer, and has a thickness between 0.1 mm and 5 mm, with a density not exceeding 800 kg / m 3 .
- PVC polyvinyl chloride
- PUR polyurethane rubber
- PE polyethylene
- SBR butadiene-styrene rubber
- the main layer of the underlayer makes it possible to achieve the mechanical strength of the assembly.
- Its constituent material is for example a synthetic polymer such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), or a bitumen, but can also be made from original materials natural fibers such as wood fibers.
- This layer is relatively hard on the surface but remains flexible enough to be rolled so that the underlayer can be in the form of rolls.
- the object of the invention is to propose a solution which makes it possible to lay tiles quickly and simply while giving the coating once installed sound-improving properties.
- the invention is defined by a tile having the features of claim 1 and a floor or wall covering having the features of claim 10.
- This solution mainly gives a noise reduction when walking but also provides an insulation to the noises of shocks and airborne noise.
- the document DE 20018439U1 discloses a tile having the features of the preamble of claim 1 and a coating having the features of the preamble of claim 10.
- the layer of damping material has, at 20 ° C and for a frequency between 10 Hz and 5000 Hz, a dynamic Young's modulus E ' material less than 10 9 Pa and a loss factor tan ⁇ greater than or equal to at 0.08, preferably greater than 0.3. It will be noted that the measurements of the Young's modulus and the loss factor are carried out in a known manner using a viscoanalyzer.
- the inventors have demonstrated that it was necessary for the layer of damping material to be sandwiched between the two rigid elements that are the tile and the support of the floor or wall type to achieve all its damping function by its work. in shear. This characteristic results in the impedance break (pronounced discontinuity of the stiffness of materials) which must exist between the tile and the damping material as well as between the damping material and the support. The shearing work of the damping layer then makes it possible to dissipate the energy.
- the stiffness ratio between the damping material and the tile E ' material / tile must be less than 0.09, and the stiffness ratio between the damping material and the support E' material / E ' support must be also less than 0.09.
- the layer of damping material consists of one or more viscoelastic polymeric materials, such as bitumen, polymers based on styrene-acrylic, polyvinyl butyral, in particular polyvinyl butyral proprietary improved acoustic damping.
- viscoelastic polymeric materials such as bitumen, polymers based on styrene-acrylic, polyvinyl butyral, in particular polyvinyl butyral proprietary improved acoustic damping.
- the layer of damping material may be in the form of a sheet or film, or in the form of a cast resin, and may consist of one or more damping polymeric material (s).
- the layer of damping material is secured to the tile by gluing means of the aqueous glue type or by the intrinsic stickiness of the damping material, its tackiness may in particular be stimulated by a heat input.
- the tile may be made of any rigid material, it is for example ceramic, such as earthenware, terracotta, sandstone, glass paste, marble, reconstituted stone, or rigid composite material.

- a resin which is hot cast on the tile and whose material has the qualities necessary for adhesion with the tile material.
- it may be a substance based on styrene-acrylic.
- the layer may consist of a stack of materials.
- the layer has a thickness of between 0.2 and 3 mm, preferably between 0.2 and 1 mm.
- the figure 2 illustrates the bonding of a plurality of tiles on a floor 3 which thus forms a tiled liner 4 with acoustic improvement property.
- the damping layer makes it possible more particularly to provide an acoustic improvement over the noises when walking by reducing the amplitude of the bending waves in the tile generated by the impact, and thus to reduce the acoustic radiation of the tiles and therefore the noise. within the room itself.
- the tile of the invention is primarily intended to be used directly as such to provide the appropriate acoustic enhancement coating, it is nevertheless possible to consider depositing beforehand an undercoat with open porosity and having some elasticity, such as the fiber-based underlays, which will be more particularly adapted to the insulation against impact noises. However, care should be taken to insert a rigid element between this fibrous underlayer and the damping layer so that the latter plays its full role according to the invention.

- the significant increase in the modal damping coefficient reflects the actual acoustic improvement performance that a tile of the invention can provide.
- the modal damping coefficient at 200 Hz is indicative of acoustic performance at low frequencies.
- the increase in this damping coefficient from 0.02 to 0.07 reflects an energy dissipation in the larger structure and therefore a significantly lower radiated noise. This phenomenon is even more noticeable at the medium frequencies, according to the increase of the modal damping coefficient at 1000 Hz, and at the high frequencies according to the increase of the modal damping coefficient at 3150 Hz.
- the modal damping coefficient is multiplied by 5 between a conventional coating and a coating having a damping layer according to the invention, or even multiplied by 10 using a damping material still improved as to its acoustic performance.

Description
figure 1 illustre un carreau 1 à propriétés d'amélioration acoustique selon l'invention.
