Definitions

  • the invention relates to a shell for a tree or similar object.
  • Such casings are mainly used for packaging smaller trees, especially Christmas trees.
  • the tree is protected by the cover against damage, while its volume for transport and storage is reduced.
  • Christmas trees for private use which usually have a height of between 1m and 2.5m, immediately after felling in a generic shell to push with a network consisting of a hose section.
  • This shell is relatively narrow, so that the branches are bent upwards elastically against the trunk, whereby the circumference of the Christmas tree is substantially reduced.
  • power supply which is funnel-shaped with a first section with wide opening, which narrows conically and one of the first subsequent second section, which is designed as a cylindrical neck and on which the shell is pushed. The tree is pushed forward into the opening and through the power supply, stripping the cover from the socket so that it is surrounded by the power supply when leaving the power supply.
  • the shell is usually cut along a surface line, whereupon the tree again takes on its original form. But even if the envelope is removed without destruction, it is not useful for the disposal of the tree, since it can be easily inserted into the case with the help of the power supply unit. Such a device is usually not available in the household.
  • the hose section may consist of plastic, eg polyethylene film.
  • the known sheaths of the first type described above have the disadvantage that they are only suitable for packaging the tree before use and not for disposal of the tree after use of the same.
  • the cases of the second type are only suitable for disposal of a used tree and represent another part that increases the cost and the total disposal needs.
  • Such sheaths have therefore found no widespread use.
  • the used Christmas trees are usually burned or cut and thrown into the trash. These types of disposal cause some effort and usually bring no benefit.
  • the invention is based on the object to improve a generic shell so that it is suitable both for packaging of trees before use and for disposal of the same after use. This object is solved by the features in the characterizing part of claim 1.
  • the inventive sheath allows easy disposal of the tree and does not have to be specially taken care of, as it brought the buyer of the tree anyway with the same home.
  • the likelihood that this shell will be used for disposal purposes is therefore much higher than in known casings.
  • the shell, which is easy to do is made of compostable material, nothing stands in the way of a beneficial use of the packed tree. For example, it can be used in the production of biogas.
  • the inventive sheath according to the first embodiment comprises ( Fig. 1, 2 ) a hose section 1, which consists of a flexible sheet material, preferably foil, as these are for needles, leaves and the like. as is hardly permeable to moisture and also can be printed well, so that the tube section 1 or the like easily with an advertising print, a printed instructions for use. can be provided.
  • the tube section can also be made of a woven, knitted fabric or mesh.
  • the material should be as compostable as possible. It is preferably relatively soft, so that it is easy to collapse and requires little space during transport and storage. Particularly suitable is compostable plastic such as Ecoflex ® BASF, which is also easy to process film, fabric or mesh.
  • the hose section 1 has an outer cylindrical peripheral part 2 and a fold 3, which extends in the circumferential direction from a fold line 4 to a Umfaltline 5 and rests on the inside of the peripheral part 2.
  • the tube section 1 forms a first bow, which separates the peripheral part 2 from the outer section of the fold 3, while at the Umfaltline 5, the fold 3 forms a second bow, which separates its outer from its inner portion.
  • the fold line 4 and the Umfaltline 5 follow parallel straight generatrices of the tube section 1, so that the fold 3 extends consistently over the length thereof and the cross section of the folded tube section 1 is constant over its length.
  • a detachable connection is arranged, which closes the peripheral part 2 by connecting parts of the hose section 1 separated from one another by the fold 3 and bridging and fixing the fold 3.
  • the detachable connection intervenes on the peripheral part 2 on the one hand in the vicinity of the fold line 4 and on the other hand there, where it merges into a line parallel to the fold line 4 in the inner portion of the fold 3.
  • the releasable connection can be made in various ways.
  • lacing be made eg by knotted to closed rings short cords 6, which by congruent openings in the peripheral part 2 and in the outer portion of the fold 3 in the vicinity of the bow and the inner portion of the fold 3 and other openings in the subsequent peripheral part 2 are drawn.
  • This connection can be easily solved by severing the cords 6 by means of a knife or a pair of scissors.
  • the connection can also be made by another type of lacing, a seam or at regular intervals along the fold line 4 attached adhesive or welding points or a longitudinally continuous bonding or welding seam or otherwise. It is essential that the connection can be easily and without coarser injury of the hose section 1 can be solved.
  • the fold 3 is connected to the peripheral part 2 in the same or similar manner along the second bow following the fold 5.
  • the shell is ( Fig. 1 ) provided with longitudinally at regular intervals successive closed bands 7, which extend transversely to the longitudinal direction over the circumference of the entire tube section 1, ie, both over the peripheral part 2 and on the fold 3, so they do not bridge. They are alternately on the inside and on the outside of the hose portion 1, wherein the transition is made by short longitudinally extending slots 8 in the hose section 1.
  • the shell For packaging a freshly felled tree, the shell is in Fig. 1, 2 shown folded state pushed onto the neck of a power supply unit, such that a short section protrudes. Then, in a conventional manner, the tree is pushed with the foot first through the funnel of the power supply, the branches are bent elastically up against the trunk. The tree, which appears at the end of the neck, carries with its lowest branches the projecting portion of the shell, and in its further movement pulls the remainder of it off the neck, with the shell resting tightly around the tree and holding the branch in the bent position , The foot of the tree protrudes slightly beyond the end of the hull, possibly its top. The tree is held by the shell in a position in which it has a much smaller diameter than in a relaxed position, so it takes much less space during storage and transport.
  • the dimensions of the tube section 1 are directed to those of the tree, wherein its length may be slightly less than that of the tree. With a cover for a Christmas tree, it can be between 80cm and 250cm. The extent may e.g. between 100cm and 200cm.
  • the compounds are released and the fold 3 is opened.
  • the effective circumference of the tube section 1 is thereby increased by a factor which, depending on the extent of the fold 3 in the circumferential direction, is usually between 1.8 and 3, preferably between 2 and 2.7.
  • the tree can now easily be pulled out of the hull with the foot ahead.
  • the tree 9 (s. Fig. 3 , where only a lower portion of the tree and a shorter portion of the shell are shown) are easily re-inserted with the foot in front of it because of the increased effective circumference of the hose portion 1 until the foot protrudes slightly.
  • one of the outer sections of the belt 7 is tightened at the foot end of the tree 9, that is pulled away from the hose section 1 until the edge of the same tightly surrounds the stem there and then fixes the belt 7, for example, by a simple knot.
  • the band 7 is tightened at the opposite end of the tube section 1, the edge of which is contracted either about a protruding portion of the treetop or otherwise as far as possible, so that the opening which it surrounds is almost completely closed.
  • Intermediate further bands 7 can also be tightened and fixed by knots, so that the packaged tree 9 forms a compact bundle, which can be easily packed and carried away, for example, on the loops formed by the bands 7.
  • the fold 3 extends over the entire inner side of the peripheral part 2, so that can be dispensed with a return, ie the fold 3 has no inner portion.
  • the tube section 1 forms in the folded state a double tube section with two fold lines 4a, b, on each of which a bow extends, where the peripheral part 2 merges into the fold 3 and in the vicinity of both sides, the releasable connection on the hose section 1 engages, such that it creates a Brückung on the fold lines 4a, b, the peripheral part 2 closes. It can be made for example by an adhesive tape 10.
  • a cross-lacing in the region of the connection can be provided, which consists of a band 7 or the like, which is alternately guided by along the first fold line 4a and the second fold line 4b mounted eyelets. It may be provided from the outset, but it must then have a length reserve that allows everting the fold 3 to facilitate the removal and re-packing of the tree 9 and is preferably releasably fixed to the outside of the peripheral part 2, for example glued to it. This can also be carried out in such a way that the band produces or reinforces the detachable connection. After repacking, the lacing is tightened ( Fig. 6 ) and fixed with a knot. As a result, the diameter of the bundle is substantially reduced, which in turn facilitates its handling.
  • the bands may also be missing or attached only to the ends of the tube section. They can also be replaced by bands fastened on one side of the hose section, which are drawn around the hose section after the used tree has been packed and closed by a knot. Even with the releasable connection, which fixes the fold or one of the folds, it may, especially with small dimensions, be sufficient if it is limited to points near the ends of the tube section.
  • the hose section may have variable circumference, eg itself Conically constrict and also the extension of the fold or wrinkles over the circumference can vary in the longitudinal direction.
  • the casing according to the invention can be used for packaging any suitable article. Except trees especially bushes and other plants come into question.
