Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de détection des transitions de couleur provoquées par des encrassements et/ou l'usure de l'encre dans au moins une partie d'un document de valeur (12) d'un type prédéfini de document de valeur sur la base de données de traitement qui reproduisent les valeurs des coordonnées de couleur d'éléments d'image dans un espace de couleurs en fonction de la position des zones qui correspondent à chacun des éléments d'image dans la partie du document de valeur (12), et de données de référence qui reproduisent pour une répartition de référence de couleur prédéfinie pour un type de documents de valeur (12)de valeurs de coordonnées de couleur dans l'espace de couleurs en fonction de positions de référence sur un document de valeur (12) de ce type de document de valeur. Pour chacun des éléments d'image, on détermine si les valeurs de coordonnées de couleur associées à l'élément d'image dans l'espace de couleurs correspondent à la répartition de référence de couleur et la répartition de référence de couleur est donnée par au moins une surface fermée et prédéterminée de référence dans l'espace de couleurs, qui est donnée par au moins une distance linéaire prédéterminée pour le type de document de valeur et une distance prédéterminée entre les points de la surface de référence pour la ou les distances linéaires. Les positions des éléments d'image dont les valeurs de coordonnées de couleur sont situées à l'intérieur ou ne sont pas situées à l'extérieur de la surface de référence sont comparées à des positions de référence prédéterminées sur le document de valeur (12) et en fonction des résultats de la comparaison, on conclut à la présence ou à l'absence d'une transition de couleur provoquée par un encrassement ou une usure de l'encre.
