Description

The invention relates to a profiled rail system for bridging expansion joints, recesses or edge termination of floor coverings according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

From the DE 20 2005 020 074 A1 is a generic profile rail system known. It consists essentially of two profiles in the floor covering elements are frontally einklickbar. Both profiles are telescopic against each other. For this purpose, one of the profiles has a web aligned parallel to the floor, which engages in a pocket of the opposite profile. This profile rail system has been well proven in practice and forms the starting point of the present innovation.

The invention has for its object to provide a profile rail system of the type mentioned, which is characterized by a broad applicability.

This object is achieved with the features of claim 1.

The profiled rail system according to claim 1 serves for bridging expansion joints, recesses and / or as edge termination of floor coverings. Especially with floor coverings made of natural materials, such as wood, a stretch and shrinkage of the floor covering must be considered. For this purpose, expansion joints are left between the floor coverings. In addition, the floor coverings are spaced from the walls for the same reason so as to realize expansion joints here as well. For this purpose, the profile rail system has at least one substantially parallel to the floor covering-oriented web, which engages slidably in a pocket. In this way, the profile rail system is telescopic and can thus adapt to the strains and shrinkage of the floor covering. To achieve a wide applicability of this profile rail system, it is desirable to achieve the greatest possible telescoping. For this purpose, the bridge would have to be correspondingly long and the pocket to be deep enough to cover even wide expansion joints and recesses safely. Since these rails are usually extruded, however, a production of a deep and flat bag with the required dimensional accuracy is not possible. To solve this problem, the bag of the profile rail system formed in two pieces. The bag consists on the one hand of a cross-bridge the cover plate and the web under cross base plate. It is envisaged that the cover plate is provided in a first part and the base plate in a second part. This eliminates a deep groove in the rail, so that it can be easily formed. The depth of the bag is basically not limited in this way. To hold the two parts together securely holding means are provided which connect the two parts together.

A simple and effective training of the holding means results in the form of at least one undercut web. In this way, the two parts can be clicked into each other, which greatly simplifies the assembly of both parts. Preferably, the web is designed to be flexible in bending in order to enable a simple clicking of the two parts into one another.

Alternatively or additionally, the holding means are formed by at least one screw. This ensures a simple assembly of the parts together. In addition, the bag is easily accessible through the releasable retaining means, for example, to be able to easily remove debris that has fallen into the pocket.

In order to easily fix the screws, it is advantageous according to claim 2, if at least one of the parts, a drive channel is formed. This drive channel carries the screws, so that in this way a secure connection both parts is guaranteed to each other. The drive channel can also be easily produced in the extrusion process, without a post-processing would be required. The drive channel is preferably designed as a threaded drive channel in order to ensure a secure hold of the screw. Alternatively or additionally, the screw can also be designed as a self-tapping screw. In this way, the hold of the screw can be improved in the drive channel, or it can be the shape of the drive channel can be simplified.

According to claim 3, it is advantageous if the drive channel is provided in the first part. In this way, the mounting of the screws from the base plate forth, so that the screw heads are not visible in the mounted position of the profile rail system.

To achieve a broad adaptability of the profile rail system, even with thin floor coverings, it is advantageous according to claim 4, when the bag has a depth which corresponds to at least three times the bag width. Due to the measures described above, the profile rail system can still be easily produced in the extrusion process, which allows a cost-effective production.

According to claim 5, the bag has a depth which corresponds to at least four times the bag width. In this way, the expansion of large-scale laminate floors can be easily compensated so that Overall, a very wide application of the profile rail system results.

According to claim 6, it is advantageous if the floor covering is formed from floor covering elements, which are held by snap-under tongue and groove profilings clickable together. In this way, there is a low installation effort to lay a floor covering. In order to keep the installation costs of the profile rail system as small as possible, this is provided with matching to the flooring elements, undercut tongue and groove profilings. In these profiles, the floor coverings can be clicked accordingly. The mounting of the profile rail system to the flooring elements takes place directly on the front side, so that an overlapping of the floor covering by the profile rail system is not required. In this way, there is a continuous covering, which also has a sufficiently strong connection in the area of the expansion joint. To mount the profile rail system, the rails or the flooring elements are tilted and then pressed the spring in the opposite groove. The installation of the profile rail system is thus essentially not different from the laying of the floor covering elements. This facilitates the laying of the entire floor covering considerably and can therefore be carried out easily by untrained persons. In particular, eliminates the need to align the profile rail system to the expansion joint. The click connection between the flooring elements and the rail results in a correct orientation by itself both parts to each other. Due to the fact that the floor covering elements do not spread over the profile rail system, the risk of tripping is also reduced.

In order to eliminate a tripping hazard emanating from the profile rail system, it is favorable according to claim 7, if at least one of the profile rails is aligned on the upper side with the adjacent floor covering element approximately. In particular, it is provided to design the profiled rail system such that it does not project beyond the floor covering at any point. A trip on their rails is excluded in this way.

The object of the invention is explained by way of example with reference to the drawing, without limiting the scope of protection.

The FIG. 1 shows an exploded perspective view of a profiled rail system 1 with adjacent flooring elements 2, which form a floor covering 3.

The flooring element 2 has frontally a tongue and groove profiling 4, which is formed on the one hand by an undercut groove 5 and on the other hand by an undercut spring 6. By angling a floor covering element 2, then inserting the spring 6 into the groove 5 and folding back the angled floor covering element 2 in the horizontal position, the individual floor covering elements 2 can be clicked into one another. This allows a particularly simple installation of the floor covering 3, so that it can be laid by untrained.

The profiled rail system 1 has the front side in each case a groove 5 and spring 6, which are shaped according to the grooves 5 and springs 6 of the flooring elements 2. In this way, the profile rail system 1 can be clicked in the same way as the flooring elements 2 in this.

To achieve a desired length compensation of the profile rail system 1, this is designed to be telescopic. The profiled rail system 1 consists of a one-piece web portion 7 and a two-piece pocket portion 8. The web portion 7 has a web 9, which extends substantially parallel to the floor covering 3, ie in the horizontal direction. This web 9 engages in a pocket 10 formed in the pocket part 10 in order to realize the desired telescoping of the profiled rail system 1 in this way.

The pocket part 8 is formed in two pieces and consists of an upper, first part 11 and a lower, second part 12. The first part 11 has a web 9 cross-cover plate 13, which is visible even in the mounted position of the profile rail system 1. The second part 12 has a web 9 engaging under the base plate 14, which forms the lower portion of the bag 10. On the base plate 14 upwardly directed, approximately vertical webs 15 are provided, which form with stops downwardly directed, approximately vertical webs 16 stops for the web 9. In this way, the Teleskopierstrekke is limited on both sides.

In the second part 12 holes 17 are provided, which are penetrated by screws 18. To achieve a flat construction of the entire profiled rail system 1, countersunk screws are preferably used as screws 18.

In the first part 11, a drive channel 19 is provided opposite the bores 17, into which the screws 18 can be driven. This drive channel 19 has the advantage over a threaded bore that it is very easy to produce in the extrusion process. In addition, the drive channel 19 allows fixing of the screws 18 in any position, without having to align the two parts 11, 12 exactly to each other.

The FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment of the profile rail system 1 according to FIG. 1 , wherein like reference numerals designate like parts. The following will only to the differences from the embodiment according to FIG. 1 received.

For fixing the parts 11, 12 to each other in the embodiment according to FIG. 2 dispensed with a screw connection. Instead, the second part 12 has two vertically upwardly directed webs 20, which are provided on the outside with at least one respective obstacle cut 21. The webs 20 engage in a likewise undercut receptacle 22 of the first part 11, which is formed to match the webs 20.

For mounting the profiled rail system 1, the web part 7 is first inserted into the pocket 10 of the second part 12. Subsequently, the first part 11 is pressed onto the second part 12 such that the webs 20 engage in the receptacle 22. When pressing together the parts 11, 12 against each other, the two webs 20 of the second part 12 are bent against each other, wherein this deformation takes place in the elastic region. Upon reaching the end position of the two parts 11, 12 to each other, the web 15 of the second part 12 is flat against the cover plate 13 of the first part 11. In this final position, the webs 20 relax again and reach their in FIG. 2 shown shape in which they engage in the undercut receptacle 22 of the second part 11 locking.
