Description

The invention relates to a device for dressing a step according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

From the EP 0 773 335 A1 is a stair nosing profile known, which is intended in particular for the renovation of stairs. This stair nosing profile consists of a base profile, which is fixed to the tread and a cover profile screwed to it. Both profiles are held by means of a screw height adjustable together. The cover profile has down as well as side facing legs, which overlap staircase elements. This known stair nosing profile has proven itself well in practice and forms the starting point of the invention.

The EP-A-1 681 402 was published after the priority date and therefore does not belong to the state of the art. From this document, a stair nosing profile is known, which can be clipped onto a riser. The riser has an undercut groove, in the flooring elements are clicked.

From the US-A-4,001,991 is a generic stair nosing profile known. This has a horizontal leg, which can be screwed to a staircase. On this horizontal leg several upwardly directed springs are held, which engage in bottom grooves of a step. This stair nosing forms the starting point of the present invention.

From the DE 298 10 480 U1 For example, a veneering device for a step is known. This has a horizontal leg, to which a cover leg connects. From the horizontal leg extends a vertical divider on which a roof strip is held. Between the roof strip, the divider and the base leg results in a non-undercut groove into which engages a floor covering element to form the tread.

From the DE 203 05 142 U1 is a panel for stairs known. This consists of a profile which has a cover leg. This profile also has a non-undercut groove into which engages a spring of a floor covering element.

The invention has for its object to provide a device of the type mentioned above, which is characterized by a simplified assembly.

This object is achieved with the features of claim 1.

The device according to claim. 1 is used to disguise a stair step. In this case, the device has a first profile rail which can be fixed to the outer edge of the step and a second profile rail which can be fixed to the inner edge of the step. Preferably, a corresponding rail is provided on all edges of the stairs. In order to achieve a simple and thus cost-effective installation of the staircase trim, the first and second rails on at least one connecting part, which has an undercut groove or tongue. In this groove or spring a covering element is held clickable. In this case, the covering element is employed at an angle relative to the connecting part and then the covering element is pressed into the connecting part. Only relative movements of both parts are relevant, so that a tilting of the connecting part and the first and second rail is conceivable. As flooring element especially laminate or parquet comes into question. The covering element is firmly held by the click connection to the rail and still easy to assemble or disassemble. A further advantage results in a simple and thus cost-effective construction of the first and second profile rail, since this can only be made in one piece from a single part if necessary.

In order to prevent that the first and / or second rail forms a trip hazard, it is favorable according to claim 2, if this is formed on the outside flush with the covering element. Such a design would be impossible to realize in the case of stair nosing profiles according to the prior art with covering elements overlapping covering elements. Only through the application of the click connection of this additional advantage can be used.

For easy installation of the second rail on the step, it is advantageous according to claim 3, when the second rail has at least one holding leg, which carries a retaining means for fixing to the step. This holding leg ensures the connection with the step. By contrast, the covering elements themselves are essentially held by the second profiled rail.

Preferably, the holding means are formed according to claim 4 of a screw. This screw is covered by a strip or the covering element, to remove it from the view. In the arrangement of the screw under the covering element no further measures for covering the screw are required.

According to claim 5, it is advantageous if the strip is designed to be slip-resistant. The bar additionally forms the function of increasing slip resistance. Preferably, the strip consists of an elastically deformable material such as rubber or silicone rubber. It is also thought, the bar with parallel to Equip longitudinal grooves of the edge protector extending grooves.

While one end of the covering elements is respectively fixed in the rail, the opposite end is free. A click connection at the opposite end is not feasible, since then the width of the covering elements would have to be adapted very precisely to the respective geometry of the staircase. However, this is not possible in practice. For fixing the opposite ends of the covering elements, it is therefore advantageous according to claim 6, when the rail has a covering leg, which forms an angle with the retaining leg and presses the covering element against the step. In this way, a two-sided, sufficient fixation of the covering elements is realized.

To compensate for dimensional tolerances, it is favorable according to claim 7, when the cover leg is resilient. In addition, this facilitates the mounting of the rail because their assembly does not have to be so accurate.

When renovating stairs, it also happens that stairs in the tread are formed protruding. In this case, the lining of the riser is preferably aligned at an acute angle to the vertical. In order to achieve a secure click connection to the rail even with this mounting position, it is advantageous according to claim 8, when a spring element is provided between the holding leg and the connecting part. This spring element is used essentially for angle adjustment of the connecting part and thus of the clipped-in covering element.

To further increase the connection security, it is advantageous according to claim 9, when the connecting part is arranged such that the covering element extends at an acute angle to the riser. In particular, when using the above-mentioned spring element can still be done in this way a vertical mounting of the riser, without causing problems with the click connection.

The object of the invention is explained by way of example with reference to the drawing, without limiting the scope of protection.

FIG. 2
a second embodiment of the device according to FIG. 1 ,

A device 1 according to FIG. 1 Step 2 consists of a substantially horizontal tread 3 and a substantially vertical riser 4. In particular, after a long use of the stairs, the treads 3 have unsightly signs of wear, which require a renovation. This is generally the Step 2 is covered with a new surface to keep the renovation costs within reasonable limits. In addition, the precious core of the staircase is preserved in this way.

The device 1 consists of a rail 5 for the outer edge 6 of the step 2 and a rail 7 for the inner edge 8 of the stair 2. On the rails 5, 7 respectively lining elements 9 are held, which dress the step 2 with the desired new surface.

The profiled rail 5 for the outer edge 6 consists essentially of a horizontal holding leg 10, on which an angled substantially vertical cover leg 11 is formed. The holding leg 10 has counterbores, which are penetrated by retaining means 12 in the form of screws 12. These screws 12 set the edge protection 5 at the tread 3 of the step 2.

In the region of the screw 12, the profile rail 7 has a dovetail-shaped groove 13 on the upper side, in which a strip 14 is clamped. This bar 14 covers the screw 12 and serves with their longitudinal to the rail 5 grooves 15 at the same time for slip resistance. In this way, the slip resistance of the step 2 is increased.

At an opposite end of the cover leg 11 16, the holding leg 10 has a connecting part 17. In This connecting part (17) is formed a groove 18 which is asymmetrical. This groove 18 serves to receive a spring 19 of the covering element 9. In this case, groove 18 and spring 19 are not formed to match each other. Between the two remain free spaces that allow easy clicking the covering element 9 in the connecting part 17. Alternatively, the groove 18 and spring 19 may be formed to match each other. The connecting part 17 is formed on the upper side in alignment with the covering element 9.

The rail 7 for the inner edge 8 of the step 2 has a similar structure as the rail 5 for the outer edge 6, so that will be discussed below only on the differences between the two.

The holding leg 10 is screwed with the screw 12 directly to the riser 4. To cover the screw 12, however, no bar is provided. The cover is rather directly by the covering element 9. The cover leg 11 is bent in approximately 90 ° to the tread out; wherein the bend is not angular, but takes place with approximately constant curvature. To achieve a resilient action of the covering leg 10, a recess 20 is provided in the transition region to the connecting part 17.

Dies gewährleistet einen exakten Sitz des Belagselements 9 am Verbindungsteil 17.The assembly of the device described above is expediently carried out from bottom to top, wherein first the lowermost rail 7 is screwed for the inner edge 8 at the bottom riser 4. Subsequently, the Cladding element 9 clicked to cover the riser 4 in the connecting part 17. In this case, the covering element 9 is first made at an acute angle to the connecting part 17 and pressed into its groove 18. Subsequently, the covering element 9 in the in FIG. 1 shown pivoted position, whereby the spring 19 of the covering element 9 hooked in the groove 18 of the connecting part 17. This ensures a precise fit of the covering element 9 on the connecting part 17th

After assembly of the covering element 9 for the riser 4, the subsequent profile rail 5 is mounted for the outer edge 6. For this purpose, the profile rail 5 is first placed on the tread 3 without bar 14 and bolted to the tread 3. In this case, the edge protector 5 is pressed slightly in the horizontal direction, so that the covering leg 11 presses against the already mounted covering element 9 for the riser 4. In this way, an exact fit of the covering element 9 is ensured.

Subsequently, the covering element 9 is clicked to cover the tread 3 in the same manner as described above in the groove 18 of the connecting part 17. Now already the bar 14 can be pressed into the dovetail groove 13 to cover the screws 12. The covering element 9 for covering the tread 3 is fixed by the mounting of the next rail 7 for the following inner edge 8, in which the cover leg 11 presses against the covering element 9. In this case, the spring effect of the cover leg 11 is utilized, which is formed by the recess 20.

The FIG. 2 shows an alternative embodiment of the device 1 according to FIG. 1 , wherein like reference numerals designate like parts. In the following, only the differences from the embodiment according to FIG. 1 received.

The step 2 has, in the region of the outer edge 6, a projection 21 which considerably impedes vertical mounting of the covering element 9 for covering the riser 4. For this reason, the connecting part 17 of the profile rail 7 of the inner edge 8 with respect to the embodiment according to FIG. 1 inclined. Thus, the covering element 9 can be clicked into the connecting part 11 at the desired angle.

In order to adjust the rail 7 to different steps 2, each with different projections 21, the connecting part 17 of the rail 7 is connected via a spring element 22 with the holding leg 10. This spring element 22 is essentially formed by recesses 23 which form a predetermined bending point of the rail 7. In the tension-free position of the spring element 22, the groove 18 is inclined at an acute angle 24 to the vertical 25. This ensures that the connection of the covering element 9 with the connecting part 17 is safe even with relatively large projections 21 of the step 2.

Is the projection 21, however, lower, so that the covering element 9 steeper than in FIG. 2 shown assembled is to be, the connecting member 17 is pivoted with the aid of the leverage of the pad member 9 in the counterclockwise direction, so that the pad element 9 in turn rests against the riser 4. The pivoting of the connecting part 17 takes place only during the assembly of the rail 5 of the outer edge 6 by the abutment of the covering leg 11 on the covering element. 9

The shape of the grooves 18 of the connecting parts 17 is adapted to the shape of the springs 19 of the covering elements 9. This ensures a particularly tight fit of the covering elements 9 in the profile rails 5, 7.

Dies ergibt einen besonders einfachen Aufbau der Vorrichtung 1.To avoid the bar 14 of the holding leg 10 of the rail 5 is formed so thin that it comes to rest under the covering element 9. Thus, the covering element 9 covers the holding means 12. This results in a particularly simple construction of the device 1.
