Due to the translatory movement, a predetermined pressing force of the hard metal pin 1 can be applied to the end face 4 of the chain pin 2, which causes a corresponding deformation force on the respective end face 4 of the chain pin 2. In addition, frictional heat is caused on the end face 4 of the chain pin 2 due to the rotation of the hard metal pin 1, so that a heat input into the respective end face 4 of the chain pin 2 takes place. In this way, the chain pin 2 can be deformed by contact force and the heat input at least in sections, to be attached to the connecting plate 5.
