Definitions

  • the invention relates to an embroidery frame with at least one clamping device according to the preamble of patent claim 1 (see DE-U-295 08 369 ).
  • Embroidery frames serve for tensioning a textile fabric to be embroidered, e.g. a tissue.
  • Such embroidery hoops are used in hand embroidery, usually as circular rings.
  • the embroidery frames When embroidering fabrics on special embroidery machines or on sewing machines, the embroidery frames usually have a rectangular shape with rounded corners.
  • the tensioning of the embroidery in a non-circular hoop requires higher clamping forces, especially when the hoop exceeds a certain size. There are therefore already known a variety of clamping devices.
  • a tensioning device in which the clamping screw is arranged swing-out, so as to facilitate their accessibility and operation / rotation.
  • the clamping screw In the case of the known tensioning devices on tentering frames, the latter has to be lifted or lifted off a support surface in order to be able to handle the tensioning device. This means that the clamping frame must be held with one hand and with the other hand, the clamping screw must be pressed. This is cumbersome and a precise insertion of the embroidery material consuming.
  • An object of the present invention is to provide an embroidery hoop with a tensioning device which is easy to handle and in which the embroidery material can be easily positioned in the tenter after insertion into the tenter.
  • the clamping frame does not have to be lifted off a support surface in order to be able to position and / or tension a piece of embroidery in the frame.
  • the inner frame can simply be placed under or over the embroidery material, and the outer be so slipped over that the embroidery comes to rest between inner and outer frame, and then by hand by compressing the two open ends of the outer frame, the embroidery are prepositioned. After the subsequent definitive positioning, the frame is tensioned by a very small turn on a knob.
  • An overload protection prevents the destruction of the clamping device in case of improper handling or excessive torque on the rotary knob.
  • a device for quick and also complete cancellation of the clamping facilitates further work on an adjacent still unembroidered area of the embroidery material and when unclamping the embroidery material.
  • the outer frame is completely spread by the quick voltage. It's not just the tension canceled.
  • an embroidery material with greater thickness or high rigidity can then also be inserted without the frame having to be additionally pulled apart.
  • the embroidery frame designated by reference numeral 1 comprises an outer frame 3 and an inner frame 5.
  • the embroidery frame 1 may, as shown in the figures, have a rectangular shape with rounded corners; but it can also be oval or circular (no Fig.).
  • the training or cross sections of the frame 3.5 are known from the prior art.
  • the frames 3, 5 are shaped in such a way that an embroidery material (not shown) placed around the periphery of the closed inner frame and in contact with the inner periphery of the outer frame 3 can be held without jamming when the outer frame 3 is provided with a tensioning device 11 a splayed into the job position is contracted.
  • a fastening device 7 for attaching the embroidery frame 1 to a drive device of a sewing or embroidery machine (not shown) can be seen on the left side.
  • the two upwardly projecting tabs 9 serve to be able to solve the hoop 1 of the drive device without tools.
  • the outer frame 3 is divided on the right side where the tensioning device 11 can be seen. Due to the separation of the outer frame 3 whose scope can be changed.
  • the two open ends 13 and 15 of the outer frame 3 are there at a mutual distance a to each other.
  • a bow-shaped rack 17 is fixed and protrudes by an amount b beyond the end 13 and preferably in the region of the second end 15 on the outer frame 3 into it.
  • a plate 19 is formed, on which the clamping device 11 can be placed.
  • the plate 19 comprises a collar 21 following its arcuate contour and in the surface 23 of the plate 19 has a polygonal recess 25 and a bore 27th
  • a ramp-shaped first handle plate 29 is formed peripherally.
  • a handle corrugation 31 is attached to the periphery of the plate 19 at the upper end 15.
  • the clamping device 11 can be seen further in an exploded view.
  • This comprises a rotary knob 33 with a corrugated or otherwise well tangible periphery and with a first internal toothing 35 (see FIG. Fig. 3 ).
  • a Rurgische 37 to lie which includes, for example, three elastic Rurgischenarme 39, which act as a torque clutch.
  • the torque clutch determines the maximum possible torque with which the two frames are clamped together.
  • the Rurgischenarme 39 are engaged with the teeth of the first internal toothing 35.
  • the Rurgische 37 is rotatably connected to a pinion 41, which, when the tensioning device 11 is fixed in the plate 19, comes into meshing engagement with the rack 17.
  • a freewheel 45 is further stored on the same axis A, formed by a threaded pin 43, which penetrates both the knob 33 and the ratchet 37 and the pinion 41. This wraps in the assembled state, both the cylindrical tubular portion 47 on the RSUsche 37 and the pinion 41. The teeth of the pinion 41 then protrude from a freewheel 45 mounted opening.
  • the opening 49 has the shape of a circular section in cross section, so that (in the assembled state) about one third of the teeth of the pinion 41 are visible. Axially offset from the opening 49 are on the cylindrical housing 51 of the freewheel 45 diagonally opposite each other two jaws 53 suspended on elastic arcuate profiles 55.
  • the arcuate profiles 55 are formed on the end faces of the jaws 53 and have in the region of the jaws 53 on a radially outwardly projecting teeth 57 on. This passes when the freewheel 45 is inserted into the knob 33, in meshing and thus positive engagement with a second internal toothing 59 in the knob 33.
  • the second internal toothing 59 has a larger diameter than the axially adjacent first internal toothing 35.
  • a Mehrkantwellenstummel 61 is formed, which in the polygonal recess 25 comes to rest on the plate 19, whereby the freewheel 45 rotatably connected to the plate 19 is connected.
  • a cover 63 are located, which covers the elements Rrelische 37, pinion 41, freewheel 45 in the assembled state. With a nut 65, the clamping device 11 is attached to the plate 19.
  • the mode of operation of the tensioning device 11 on the embroidery frame 1 will be explained in more detail below.
  • a Stickgutgrundes in the hoop 1 ie the bottom of the embroidery is placed over the inner frame 5 and the outer frame 3 is slipped over or vice versa, can be initially compressed with two fingers of the outer frame 3 on the handle plate 29 and the handle corrugation 31 and a first modest clamping force between the inner and outer frames are generated.
  • the embroidery is not yet completely clamped, but it is kept in position. This is helpful for a subsequent accurate positioning of the embroidery material within the hoop 1.
  • the same effect can be achieved by turning the knob 33 slightly.
  • the knob 33 By turning the knob 33, the pinion 41, which meshes with the rack 17, the lower end 13 of the outer clamping frame 3 moves against the upper end 15. In other words, the outer frame 3 contracts and lays Fed up on the embroidery base and the periphery of the inner frame 5. After the final positioning of the embroidery material is further rotated on the knob 33 and thereby increases the voltage. Turning the knob 33 clockwise will make a faint click sound audible. This is caused by the two profiles 55 of the freewheel 45. Since the freewheel 45 is positively connected to the outer frame 3 via the Mehrkantwellenstummel 61, the latter can not rotate, which is why the teeth 57 on the profile 55 on the second internal teeth 59 skip. An independent release of the knob 33 and thus the relaxation of the outer frame 3 is prevented.
  • the tension of the outer frame 3 on the inner frame 5 or the embroidered material clamped therebetween can be released abruptly by radially compressing the jaws 53.
  • the teeth 57 is guided radially inwardly on the profile 55 and thereby repealed the positive connection with the second internal teeth 59 on the knob 33.
  • a spring may additionally be inserted between the toothed rack 17 and the part of the outer frame 3 not connected thereto (not visible).
  • a coil spring could be placed on the freewheel, which engages with a bent end in the second internal teeth 59 on the knob 33 (not shown).
  • an elongate tension member 67 such as a flexible rope.
  • a band of metal or plastic can be used.
  • the one end 69 of the tension element 67 is fastened to the lower end 13 of the outer frame 3.
  • the attachment can be made via a loop-spine connection according to FIG. 6 respectively.
  • Other types of connections, such as gluing etc. are possible.
  • the second end 71 of the tension member 67 is on the periphery of a spool disk 73 attached. This takes the place of the pinion 41 in the first embodiment.
  • the remaining elements of the clamping device 11 remain unchanged.
  • an in FIG. 6 invisible tension spring be used, which keeps the tension member 67 always under a slight train, but has no effect on the distance a between the two ends 13,15 of the outer frame 3.
  • auxiliary key 75 which serves to turn the knob 33, if the force of the operator is insufficient to increase the voltage sufficiently.
  • the auxiliary key 75 comprises a handle 77 and a head 79, wherein in the head 79 a toothed recess 81 is arranged, whose shape is formed congruent to the jacket of the rotary knob 33.
  • a ratchet mechanism and / or a torque limiter may be inserted in the head 79 of the auxiliary key 75.
