Claims (3)

  1. Device for attaching a support for sensors, switching means and the like to rails, consisting of a rail claw having claw jaws (3, 4) which can be attached to the rail foot from opposite sides, one of the jaws being provided on the support-side and the other being adjustable relative thereto by means of at least one adjusting screw (2) which can pass beneath the rail foot, and devices for adjusting the distance of the support from the contact region of the support-side claw jaw are provided on the rail foot, characterised in that in order to pre-adjust the rail claw to different rail foot widths, at least the claw part (6) of the support-side claw jaw (4) is connected so as to be adjustable and fixable in its own right, independent of the adjusting screw (2), to the support (16) itself or a holding piece (5) located thereon, and this support-side claw jaw (4) or its claw part (6) is secured in each pre-adjustment in a positive-locking manner by inter-engaging e.g., grooves or profiles (11,12) - which have a saw tooth-like cross-section - on mutually contacting sides of the claw jaw (6) and of the support or holding piece (5).
  2. Device as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that the support-side claw jaw (4) comprises two claw parts (6) which are disposed on both sides of a central holding piece (5) and are connected via a clamping screw (7) guided through the holding piece (5) and can be adjusted with respect to the clamping screw (7) or the holding piece (5) via elongate holes (10).
  3. Device as claimed in Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the adjusting screw (2) is fixedly attached in the support (16) or holding piece (5).
