Definitions
- the invention relates to a vacuum cleaner with a housing into which a suction nozzle opens for connecting a suction hose and are rotatably mounted on the rollers for moving the vacuum cleaner along a floor surface to be cleaned, and with a housing circumferentially at least partially surrounding bumper, the outside over the housing protrudes.
- Such a vacuum cleaner is known from the patent DE 196 16 156 Cl. With its help, a floor surface can be cleaned. In this case, the user usually pulls the vacuum cleaner on the suction hose behind him. If the vacuum cleaner hits an obstacle, for example a piece of furniture, the impact against the obstacle is attenuated by the protective strip. However, if the user exerts a tensile load on the vacuum cleaner when hitting the obstacle, this may result in the impact strip sliding along the obstacle while the vacuum cleaner is twisting. As a result, the mobility of the vacuum cleaner is impaired and the risk of damaging the obstacle can not be ruled out.
- Object of the present invention is to develop a vacuum cleaner of the generic type such that it can be moved easily when hitting an obstacle without the risk of damaging the obstacle exists.
- This object is achieved according to the invention in a vacuum cleaner of the type mentioned, that the bumper is movably mounted on the housing in the circumferential direction of the housing.
- the movable mounting of the bumper strip on the housing makes it possible to roll them when hitting an obstacle on the obstacle, so that there is no risk that the obstacle is damaged.
- a rolling movement is performed only by the bumper, but not by the housing.
- a rotation of the vacuum cleaner when hitting the obstacle is prevented.
- the vacuum cleaner pulled behind by the user thus travels along the obstacle and can therefore be moved in a simple manner.
- the bumper completely surrounds the housing in the circumferential direction.
- the bumper is arranged only in a front of the housing relative to the tensile load acting on the vacuum cleaner by the user via the suction hose.
- the protective strip forms a shock ring that is freely rotatable about a rotation axis oriented perpendicular to the bottom surface. Due to the free rotation of the shock ring, the movability of the vacuum cleaner is further improved.
- the shock ring is preferably designed annular.
- the impact ring comprises an annular support member on the outside of a bumper made of a rubber-elastic material is held.
- the supporting part can be made of a rigid material, in particular be made of a rigid plastic material and can give the bumper the required mechanical strength.
- the use of the rubber-elastic shock strip prevents the same when hitting the vacuum cleaner on an obstacle damage.
- the shock ring is arranged between a lower housing part and a housing upper part of the vacuum cleaner.
- the lower housing part preferably has a trough-shaped outer contour and comprises a parallel to the bottom surface aligned bottom wall on which the rollers are rotatably mounted. It is advantageous if the rollers are each rotatably mounted on a pivot member which is held about a pivot axis aligned perpendicular to the bottom surface pivotally mounted on the housing base.
- the bearing of the shock ring is advantageously carried out with the help of support rollers on which the shock ring is seated.
- the axes of rotation of the support rollers are preferably aligned radially to the axis of rotation of the shock ring.
- four support rollers arranged in the circumferential direction at a uniform distance from one another may be used, on which the impact ring is seated with a support surface aligned parallel to the bottom surface.
- the support rollers are preferably each mounted on a bearing pin which is held on the housing base. It is advantageous if the bearing pins can be latched to the lower housing part, because the assembly of the vacuum cleaner is simplified.
- the thrust ring rests against a plurality of support rollers distributed in the circumferential direction of the housing.
- the axes of rotation of the support rollers are preferably aligned parallel to the axis of rotation of the shock ring.
- four in the circumferential direction of the housing evenly distributed support rollers are used.
- the impact ring can have, for example, a cylindrical support surface aligned coaxially to the axis of rotation of the impact ring.
- the support rollers are mounted in an advantageous embodiment in each case on a bearing pin, which is held with a lower end on the lower housing part and with an upper end on the upper housing part.
- a support roller is arranged between each two adjacent support rollers. This gives the bumper a high mechanical strength.
- the housing upper part has a base part adjoining the impact ring, to which a main part adjoins the impact ring, wherein the base part protrudes on the outside over the main part.
- the main part is thus reset relative to the base part and the impact ring. Damage to the main part when hitting the vacuum cleaner on an obstacle is prevented.
- the vacuum cleaner receives by the outside over the main part protruding base part high stability. If the user pulls the vacuum cleaner on the suction hose behind him, there is no danger that the vacuum cleaner tips. The mobility of the vacuum cleaner is thus improved.
- the lower housing part and / or the base part are arcuately curved in the transition region to the thrust ring. For example, it can be provided that the base part and the lower housing part are convexly curved in their region adjacent to the impact ring.
- the base part is designed cylindrically symmetrical and the main part has a circular arc-shaped curved central portion which spans the base part. It has been shown that thereby the mobility of the vacuum cleaner can be further improved while ensuring a high tilting safety.
- the cylindrically symmetrical base part has an axis of symmetry which extends in the plane which is defined by the arcuate curved center I section.
- a side section of the housing upper part adjoins laterally.
- One of the side sections may have a dust compartment lid which can be swung or lifted by the user to insert a dust container into the housing.
- the other side portion of the upper housing part in an advantageous embodiment, an accessory compartment, which is covered by an accessory compartment cover.
- various suction nozzles can be deposited, which can be connected to the free end of the suction hose. It can also be provided that on a side portion a filter compartment cover is arranged, which covers a filter receiving compartment and having outlet openings through which the exhaust air of the vacuum cleaner can be discharged.
- the exhaust air flows through this in the filter receiving compartment an air filter, preferably a HEPA filter.
- a circular arc-shaped curved handle on which the vacuum cleaner can be raised is held on the upper side portion of the vacuum cleaner.
- the handle is easily accessible to the user.
- the central portion may have a high mechanical stability, and a tensile load exerted by the user on the vacuum hose on the vacuum cleaner, is taken with the arrangement of the suction nozzle at the central portion thereof.
- Figure 1 a perspective view of a vacuum cleaner according to the invention
- Figure 2 is a front view of the vacuum cleaner
- Figure 3 is a schematic plan view of a lower housing part of the vacuum cleaner; and 4 shows a sectional view of the housing lower part along the line 4-4 in FIG. 3.
- a vacuum cleaner 10 according to the invention is shown schematically with a housing 12 which comprises a housing lower part 14 and a housing upper part 16, between which a freely rotatable impact ring 18 is arranged.
- the lower housing part 14 is trough-shaped and has a bottom wall 20 on which a plurality of pivoting parts 22 are each mounted pivotably about a pivot axis 23 oriented perpendicular to the bottom wall 20 on the underside. In each case a roller 24 is rotatably held on the pivoting parts, so that the vacuum cleaner 10 can be moved along a floor surface 26 to be cleaned.
- a convexly outwardly curved side wall 28 Integrally connected to the bottom wall 20 is a convexly outwardly curved side wall 28.
- the upper housing part 16 has a cylindrically symmetrical base part 30 which adjoins the thrust ring 18 on the upper side with a side wall 31 and to which a main part 32 of the upper housing part 16 adjoins.
- the latter comprises a circular arc-shaped curved central portion 34 which spans the base portion 30 and defines a median plane 35 of the vacuum cleaner 10.
- the middle section 34 is arranged between a first side section 37 and a second side section 39 of the housing upper part 16.
- a suction nozzle 41 and a handle 43 are held.
- the suction nozzle 41 can be connected in a conventional manner a known per se and therefore not shown in the drawing suction hose, whose free end can be connected to a suction nozzle, not shown in the drawing.
- the upper housing part 16 receives in the usual way a suction turbine, not shown in the drawing, which is in flow communication with a arranged in the first side portion 37 dust chamber, to which the suction nozzle 41 is connected.
- a dust bag can be used in the dust chamber.
- the first side section 37 has a pivotably mounted dust chamber cover 45.
- the exhaust air of the suction turbine can be discharged via exhaust ports 47, which are formed in a filter compartment cover 49 of the second side portion 39.
- the filter compartment cover 49 covers a filter compartment of the housing upper part 16, in which an exhaust filter (not shown in the drawing) is arranged.
- the filter compartment cover 49 can be pivoted by the user to the outside to replace the exhaust filter.
- the second side section 39 has an accessory compartment cover 51 which covers an accessory compartment of the housing upper part 16.
- an accessory compartment cover 51 which covers an accessory compartment of the housing upper part 16.
- several suction nozzles can be deposited, which are accessible to the user by swinging the accessory compartment lid 51 in a simple manner.
- the upper housing part 16 is seated on supports 53 of the lower housing part 14 and is bolted to the lower housing part 14 via connecting screws, not shown in the drawing.
- the lower housing part 14 and the upper housing part 16 define therebetween a circumferential annular space 55 which is arranged between the side wall 28 of the housing lower part 14 and the side wall 31 of the base part 30 and receives the thrust ring 18.
- the latter has a rigid, in plan view annular support member 57 which carries on its outside a made of a rubber-elastic material bumper 59.
- the bumper 59 protrudes on the outside via the annular space 55 and consequently also on the housing 12.
- a holding part 61 which is substantially Z-shaped in cross section is formed on the carrying part 57 and forms a cylindrical jacket-shaped supporting wall 34, to which a radially inwardly directed supporting edge 66 adjoins.
- the thrust ring 18 is freely rotatable about an axis of rotation 68 aligned perpendicular to the bottom wall 20.
- the axis of rotation 68 extends in the median plane 35 of the housing 12 and is aligned colinearly to the axis of symmetry of the cylindrically symmetrical base portion 30.
- Radially aligned with the axis of rotation 68 are held on the housing base 14 in the circumferential direction of the housing 12 at a uniform distance from one another arranged first bearing pins 70 which are connected to the housing lower part 14 are latched and on each of which a support roller 72 is freely rotatably mounted.
- the thrust ring 18 is supported by the support edge 66 on the support rollers 72.
- each second bearing pin 74 is arranged adjacent to the annular space 55 in the circumferential direction of the housing 12 at a uniform distance from each other, on each of which a support roller 76 freely rotatably mounted is.
- the thrust ring 18 is supported by the support wall 64 in the radial direction on the support rollers 76.
- the second bearing pins 74 are held with a lower end 78 on the lower housing part 14 and an upper end 79 on the base part 30.
- the lower housing part 14 and the base part 30 have corresponding recesses into which the second bearing pins 74 with their respective ends 78 and 79 dive.
- a suction hose is connected to the suction 41.
- the user usually pulls the vacuum cleaner 10 here by means of the suction hose behind him. Hits the vacuum cleaner 10 to an obstacle, for example, a piece of furniture, so he pushes with the soft support belt 59 against the obstacle and can then roll due to the rotatable mounting of the thrust ring 18 along the obstacle, the housing 12 maintains its orientation relative to the user ,
- the vacuum cleaner 10 is thus characterized by a simple mobility. In addition, it has a very compact design and high stability.
