Definitions

  • the invention relates to an armrest, in particular for an office chair, with a preferably height-adjustable armrest column and a mounted on the armrest armrest.
  • Such armrest is from the German patent application DE 101 25 996 A1 the applicant known. In the armrest described there, a rotational and longitudinal adjustment is possible. Other armrests with multiple adjustment options are off EP 1 424 029 A1 and US 6,290,300 B1 known. Due to the design, however, the setting options are always limited. In particular, when a narrow armrest basic position is provided, for example, the seat is wider than the inner dimension of the armrests, however, the individual adjustment possibilities of the armrests described there are reaching their limits. There is therefore a lack of a multi-adjustable armrest with high variability.
  • US 2004/0066080-A discloses an armrest which is rotatable 360 degrees with a linear sliding guide
  • An object of the present invention is therefore to provide a multifunctional armrest with improved handling. This object is achieved by an armrest according to claim 1.
  • a arranged on the armrest multi-functional bearing head which has a rotary, longitudinal and Querverstellmechanik.
  • a transverse adjustment of the armrest is possible. This armrest thus ensures a structurally simple, easy mountable yet reliable rotary, longitudinal and transverse adjustment.
  • the transverse adjustment mechanism has a stationary platform part which cooperates with a support element which is transversely movable relative to the platform part.
  • the multi-functional bearing head is constructed in different functional levels such that a lower functional level carries each of the overlying functional levels.
  • the support element of the Querverstellmechanik wears the entire L Lucassverstellmechanik, while the Drehverstellmechanik in turn carried by the Leksverstellmechanik, or is integrated into this.
  • the longitudinal adjustment mechanism has a linear sliding guide.
  • this is preferably designed such that it comprises a longitudinal guide frame in which a bearing block rests.
  • This bearing block in turn carries the Drehverstellmechanik, via which the armrest is connected to the multi-functional bearing head.
  • the Drehverstellmechanik allows rotation of the armrest by 360 degrees, so that a particularly flexible adjustment of the armrest is possible. This is especially true when the armrest is asymmetrically shaped such that their longitudinal sides unload differently. In connection with the transverse adjustment of the armrest, the inner dimension between the armrests is then variably adjustable to a particularly high degree by the possibility of complete rotation of the armrest.
  • said adjustment mechanisms are screened, and are therefore particularly easy to use, and / or get by without a release button.
  • the position of the armrest can be changed in other words, without a trigger button must be pressed.
  • the operation of the armrest is therefore particularly easy to use.
  • the armrest is lockable in its normal position by a locking element. This is preferably achieved in that a rotation of the armrest is possible only after unlocking by pressing a button. This ensures that the armrest always points forward so that the user a comfortable support posture is possible.
  • the armrest 1 comprises a height-adjustable, in particular telescopically constructed armrest column 2, at the upper end of a multi-functional bearing head 3 is arranged.
  • This carries an armrest 4 which is rotatable about a vertical axis of rotation 5 and held both in the longitudinal direction 6, and in the transverse direction 7 slidably on the bearing head 3.
  • the vertical leg of the armrest column 2 is designed as a guide stand on which the outer sleeve 8 of the armrest column 2 is guided in the vertical direction 9 slidably.
  • the guide stand has a height adjustment lock (not shown).
  • An integrally formed on the vertical leg of the armrest column 2 horizontal leg (not shown) is used to attach the armrest 1 on the base of an office chair or the like.
  • the outer sleeve 8 is widened outwards relative to the actual column part and thus forms the base 10 for the multi-functional bearing head 3.
  • This base 10 is open at the top, wherein the opening 11 through a cover-like base plate 12 of the multi-functional Bearing head 3 is closed.
  • the made of a plastic material base plate 12 is over a Number of fixing screws 13 bolted to the armrest column 2.
  • an actuating lever is provided, the actuating end (not shown) protrudes through an open towards the outside of the base 10 opening 14.
  • the mechanism for height adjustment can the document DE 101 25 996 A1 be removed.
  • other techniques for height adjustment are basically applicable.
  • a Querverstellmechanik 16 is arranged, which consists essentially of a platform part in the form of a detent plate 17 and a movable in the transverse direction 7 support member 18.
  • the support element 18 has three guide channels 19, which are spaced apart from one another and offset in a triangular manner and extend in the transverse direction 7.
  • Each of these guide channels 19 is associated with a bolt-shaped attachment member 20.
  • each fastening member 20 is provided with an annular sliding member 21 and fixed in the guide channel 19, that it fixes the locking plate 17 on the base plate 12 of the multi-functional bearing head 3 while allowing transverse adjustment of the support member 18.
  • the sliding elements 21 are in the final assembly position on the collar of the fastening member 20 and are based on the in the inner sides of the guide channels 19 circumferentially arranged guide grooves 15 from.
  • the fastening members 20 pass through the guide channels 19 and corresponding receiving bores 22 in the detent plate 17 and cooperate with screw threads which are provided in three support elements 23, which are for support the detent plate 17 extend dome-shaped from the base plate 12 upwards.

  • the elastomer block 28 lies in a corresponding receptacle 29 on the underside 31 of the support element 18 a.
  • the latching element 26 is moved by a transverse displacement of the support member 18 without actuation of a trigger button or the like against the resistance and with deformation of the elastomeric block 28 from one latching step 26 to the next.
  • the latching steps 26 are provided on both sides with identical run-on slopes, so that both the outward and the return movement can be handled with the same effort.
  • the latching plate 17 is preferably made of a plastic material, wherein the latching steps 26 are formed during the manufacturing process as an integral part of the locking plate 17.
  • the support element 18 which is preferably made of aluminum, has on its upper side 32 a fastening dome 33 with an internal screw thread. This is used to attach a rotary and Lfitsverstellmechanik on the Querverstellmechanik 16 in a manner to be explained in more detail.
