Claims (4)

  1. Armrest (1), in particular for an office chair, having a preferably height-adjustable armrest column (2) and an arm support (4) mounted on the armrest column (2), and having a multifunction bearing head (3) which is arranged at the upper end of the armrest column (2), has rotational-adjustment, longitudinal-adjustment and transverse-adjustment mechanisms (39, 35, 16) and bears the arm support (4), wherein the transverse-adjustment mechanism (16) has a platform part (17) and a supporting element (18), which can be moved transversely in relation to the platform part (17),
    wherein the supporting element (18) bears the longitudinal-adjustment mechanism (35),
    wherein the longitudinal-adjustment mechanism (35) has a linear sliding guide (34, 38),
    wherein the linear sliding guide (34, 38) has a longitudinal guide frame (34), in which a bearing block (38) is incorporated,
    wherein the rotational-adjustment mechanism (39) has a latching mechanism (48, 52), which is mounted in the bearing block (38), and the rotational-adjustment mechanism (39) allows the arm support (4) to rotate through 360 degrees, and
    wherein the arm support (4) is shaped asymmetrically such that its longitudinal sides (63, 63') have different extents in the transverse direction (7).
  2. Armrest (1) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the rotational-adjustment mechanism and/or the longitudinal-adjustment mechanism and/or the transverse adjustment mechanism are catch-lock mechanisms.
  3. Armrest (1) according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the rotational-adjustment mechanism and/or the longitudinal-adjustment mechanism and/or the transverse-adjustment mechanism have no release button.
  4. Armrest (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the arm support (4) can be secured in its normal position by a locking element.
