Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a shaft drive for a loom with one or more heddles.
Weaving machines are usually provided with several Webschäften, which are formed by rectangular, vertically standing frame. Such a modulation gear is expensive. It also shows that the cams and the modulation gear take up a relatively large overall volume. On this basis, it is an object of the invention to provide an improved shaft drive.
- The shaft drive according to the invention has a drive train, which is formed from the drive shaft, output and disposed therebetween transmission. The transmission includes a non-circular gear having a non-constant gear ratio. The gear ratio is dependent on the angular position of the drive shaft. The non-circular gear transmission preferably includes at least two gears of non-constant radius, these gears being in constant meshing engagement with each other. Each uniform rotation of the input shaft thus causes a non-uniform rotation of the next, driven by the non-circular gear shaft. The non-circular gear generates thereby a speed modulation, wherein the period of the modulation is fixed to one revolution of the input shaft. In addition, the generated speed modulation is determined by the shape of the gears of the non-circular gear. At any rate, it can not be further influenced at this point in the powertrain.
The non-circular gear provides a simple and inexpensive solution to achieve a significantly different from the sinusoid Hedgehog movement, especially when the heald longer than an approximately inusbewegung in upper or lower extreme position (dead center) dwell and the transition between upper and lower dead center faster than at to rush through a sinusoidal movement. The non-circular gear is able to transmit significant torque, the size and material usage is low. Thanks to modern production methods (CNC production), a non-circular gear unit in mass production is cost-effective. Despite the longer dwell time in the dead-center positions (extreme-lift positions) and despite the faster passage of the path between the two extreme-lift positions, the torque increases before and after the extreme-lift positions can be minimized. there is chosen as a law of motion for the shaft, at least in a preferred embodiment, a polynomial of the seventh degree. The torque increase when entering and exiting the movement is gentle.
In principle, this shaft drive is suitable both for permanently operated heald frames (eccentric machines) and for heald frames which are to be switched on and off (dobby machines), for example in order to produce complicated weave bindings. In this case, the transmission includes a coupling device which transmits the drive movement unhindered in an operating position and interrupts the transmission of motion in a second operating position. By extending the residence time of the shaft in the extreme axial displacements there is a greater time or angle range for smooth engagement and disengagement of the coupling device. The engagement and disengagement takes place there essentially load-free with minimized torque and minimized rotational speed of the coupling elements. Load impacts and coupling load are reduced or minimized.
In an improved embodiment, the clutch assembly allows for the interruption of the drive movement to a pendulum motion of the output or generates such. The pendulum motion can be used on the one hand to minimize the acceleration of the heald and on the other hand to create synchronization phases in which the clutch can soft on and disengage.
In the preferred embodiment, the coupling means is provided between the non-circular gear transmission and the output. The non-circular gear can be formed both part of a conventional shaft drive and as an auxiliary gear. In the latter case is advantageous that existing shaft drives can continue to be used and that a single non-circular gear is sufficient to produce a modulated rotational movement for all outputs of the dobby. In some cases, it may be useful to provide two or more non-circular gear, which produce different output movements at their output shafts. In eccentric weaving machines, these different output movements can serve for the direct drive of the eccentric. In dobby machines, these different output movements can be used to drive the clutches.
The non-circular gear has preferably spur gears whose numbers of teeth are in an integer ratio. In the preferred embodiment, the gears have a matching number of teeth. It thus results in total, i. on average, a transmission ratio of 1: 1, wherein this can be in relation to the respective rotational position of the gears to each other in each rotational angle above or below one. In a simple embodiment, the gears have elliptical shape. Such gears can be easily balanced and increase or reduce the transmission ratio in one revolution of the input shaft two times. A connected eccentric, which moves the output of the shaft drive, can thus be delayed in both extreme positions. With this measure, the standstill angle can be increased, i. Extend the time during which the tray is open for weft insertion.

As can be seen from FIG. 2, the
The drive train thus constructed is again schematically illustrated in FIG. 3 for a single output. The
It is also possible that the coupling device has a plurality of
The
The
To even out the rotation of the
- In operation, it is assumed that the
drive shaft 15 rotates uniformly. Thus, the 21, 22 result in a rotational movement as a result of the intercrossed non-circular gear, accelerated per revolution, delayed, accelerated again and delayed again. If it is assumed that theinput shafts coupling device 12 continuously connects theinput shaft 22 to theeccentric shaft 18, this results in a movement on therocker 6 or on the heald 1, which is characterized by the curve I drawn in FIG. Curve I illustrates the stroke of the heald 1 as a function of the rotation of thedrive shaft 15. Neglecting the distortion of the law of motion caused by the lever mechanism 3 and optionally the connectingrod 20, a shaft movement according to curve II would result with uniform rotation of theinput shaft 22. This would be the case if the spur gears 23, 24 were formed as ordinary spur gears with a constant radius. The curve II corresponds to a sine function. As can be seen, however, thenon-circular gear 14 delays the movement of theinput shaft 22 with respect to the movement of thedrive shaft 15, respectively, when the heald 1 In the transition between the two turning regions, thenon-circular gear 14 accelerates theinput shaft 22 with respect to thedrive shaft 15 and decelerates theinput shaft 22 in the end portions. In other words, during the upper and lower reverse portions of the heald 1, theinput shaft 22 rotates much slower than thedrive shaft 15 while otherwise rotating much faster. The heald 1 thereby remains over a longer angular range of rotation of thedrive shaft 15 in the upper and lower reverse region, whereby the time for weft insertion increases. This is especially important for wide weaving machines and high machine speeds.
The dobby 1 according to the invention combines a
