Die Drückerstange 19 besitzt gegenüberliegende Zahnungen 23, die mit korrespondierenden Zahnungen 25 der Mutter 24 in Eingriff sind. Durch Drehen der Drückerstange 19 kann dieser Eingriff aufgehoben werden, so dass die Drückerstange 19 in ihrer Längsrichtung frei in der Mutter 24 verschiebbar ist. Durch entsprechendes Drehen in der anderen Richtung kann der Eingriff wieder hergestellt werden, so dass die Drückerstange 19 in der Mutter 24 in Längsrichtung fixiert ist. An diesem Lagerbock 9 ist das in Figur 3 gezeigte Federelement 22 abgestützt, welches klammerförmig aus einem elastischen Draht hergestellt ist. Das Federelement 22 könnte aber beispielsweise als Blattfeder ausgebildet sein. Die Abstützung erfolgt an einem bügelförmigen Arm 28. Zwei hakenförmige Teile bzw. Haken 29 greifen von oben am längeren Arm des Hebels 20 an. Durch das Federelement 22 wird der Hebel 20 so belastet, dass eine Wandung 21 an einer Unterseite 34 des Lagerbocks 9 anliegt. Die Drückerstange 19 liegt nun mit der Fläche 33 an der Unterseite der Taste 12 an. Der Hebel 20 besitzt die vorgesehene korrekte Ruheposition bzw. Ausgangsstellung für die Auslösung einer Spülung. Die Betätigungsvorrichtung 10 ist damit montiert und für die Auslösung einer Spülung bereit. Wie bereits oben erwähnt, kann die Betätigungsvorrichtung 10 auch zwei Tasten 12 oder beispielsweise zwei Druckknöpfe aufweisen. Die Montage erfolgt hierbei ähnlich, d.h. das Verbindungselement bzw. die Drückerstange 19 wird mit dem Hebel 20 verbunden, welcher durch das Federelement 22 oder ein anderes geeignetes Kraftelement in einer vorbestimmten Ausgangsposition gehalten wird. Bei der Montage wird die Drückerstange 19 bei einer oberen Revisionsöffnung gemäss Figur 1 von oben und bei einer seitlichen Revisionsöffnung von vorne durch die Öffnung 32 des Halters 14 eingesetzt. Damit die vorgesehene Einstecktiefe bzw. Position der Drückerstange 19 einfach und sicher gefunden werden kann, sind am oberen Ende der Drückerstange 19 gemäss Figur 4 zwei diametral gegenüberliegende und radial vorstehende Anschlagnocken 30 angeformt. In der vorgesehenen Position steht ein Anschlagnocken 30 gemäss Figur 4 auf einem Steg 31 des Halters 14 auf. In dieser Position wird die Drückerstange 19 um ihre Längsachse gedreht und damit die Verbindung mit der Mutter 24 hergestellt. Die Anschlagnocken 30 werden entsprechend gedreht, so dass der Eingriff am Steg 31 aufgehoben wird.
