Definitions
- the invention relates to a massage slide for use in a massage chair or the like, which is in use when moved along a frame in the massage chair or the like back and forth, with a drive, a movable drive by the first axis and a second axis movable by the drive, two connected to the first axis and movable by the first axis first arms, on each of which a massage element is arranged, and two connected to the second axis and movable by the second axis second arms, one of which acts on one of the first arms, so that in use, the massage elements are movable by the drive with a parallel to the frame and a perpendicular to the frame movement component, the second arms in their effective length, ie the distance between the junction with the second axis and the point of attack on the respective first arm, are adjustable.
- Such massage slides are known in various designs.
- the two axes movable by the drive are arranged horizontally and one above the other, eg the first axis above the second axis.
- the two axes have at their ends usually eccentric areas on which the first and the second arms are mounted. It can be the eccentric area be angled at the ends of the first axis relative to this axis, so that the first arms carrying the massage elements perform a pivoting movement about a substantially horizontal axis through the intersection of the first axis and the angled axis of the eccentric portions upon rotation of the first axis extends.
- the massage effect produced by this movement of the massage elements is called "kneading".
- the movement of the second axis is such that via its connection by the second arms to the first arms and the movement of the first arms through the first axis produces a substantially vertical movement, optionally with a component of the massage elements directed perpendicular to the "kneading" movement becomes.
- the massage effect exercised by this movement is also called “knocking”.
- the second axis like the first axis, can be provided at its ends with eccentric regions, on which the second arms are articulated.
- the second axis is then rotated by the drive, like the first axis.
- the drive like the first axis.
- a massage carriage of the type mentioned above in which the arranged approximately in the middle of the carriage first axis and the top arranged second axis are driven by laterally opposite geared motors.
- the angled at eccentric portions of the first axis articulated first arms extend substantially in the horizontal direction of the two geared motors.
- ends of the first arms grip the free ends of the articulated as a connecting rod formed second arms, which are connected to mounted on the second axes eccentrics and are moved by this.
- the second arms designed as connecting rods have a length compensation, which serves to compensate for the differences in the distance between the connection point with the second axis and the point of engagement on the respective first arm which arise when the first and second axes are driven.
- a massage slide is known in which the upper, first and lower, second axes are driven by an upper or lower geared motor.
- the first arms which are articulated on the angled, eccentric regions of the first axis, extend essentially in the horizontal direction from the two gearmotors.
- the free ends of the second arms articulate with and are moved by the eccentric portions of the second axis.
- the known massage carriage is relatively expansive, especially in the horizontal direction. Its installation z. B. in the backrest of a massage chair therefore requires a correspondingly large installation depth, wherein the massage slide is inserted through an opening at the back of the backrest of the massage chair. The opening can be closed by an externally visible flap.
- the massage elements in the known massage slide interfere in their rest position, causing an uncomfortable pressure on the back when a person leans against the armchair. Even if the back of the chair is moved far back or down, the massage elements, in particular due to their high body weight, can be uncomfortable or even damaging to the back.
- the massage elements are driven at the completion of the massage function in a rest position.
- the distance between the first and second axis is changed by a linear drive.
- the second arms have in their central region a joint whose pivot axis is perpendicular to the second axis. Through this joint, parallel movements of the first arms to the first axis compensated.
- the massage slide comprises a massage unit which is pivotably arranged at its upper end about a horizontal axis on a frame that is vertically movable in the backrest of a vehicle seat.
- the massage unit is moved into the backrest with the massage rollers.
- the lower end of the massage unit is released from a latching connection with the frame.
- the present invention has the object, a massage carriage of the type mentioned in such a way that it can be installed in a simple manner in the back of a massage chair or another piece of furniture and when not using the massage function or far back or down driven armchair back of Relieves the person using the chair.
- the object is achieved in that in a massage carriage of the type mentioned, the first arms are formed and the first and second arms are arranged so that the effective length of the second arms by a predetermined pressure on the side facing away from the second arms of the first arms and / or on the side facing away from the first arms sides of the massage elements against a bias can be reduced.
- the massage slide receives a relatively flat dimension so that it can be used in the longitudinal direction from below into the backrest of a massage chair. After installation, the first arms with the massage elements can then be extended when the massage function is activated.
- the first arms can be retracted with the massage elements held by them, whereby a perceived as uncomfortable pressing on the back of the person sitting in the chair is avoided.
- the retracted second arms form a kind of overload protection for the human back.
- an unpleasant or even harmful to health exposure of the Gurssageieri is avoided on the back.
- the massage elements can be lowered by acting on these pages actuators in the park mode.
- the effective length of the second arms can be reduced by a predetermined pressure on the side facing away from the first arms sides of the massage elements against a bias, an automatic overload protection, so that the back of the user relieved and health damage is avoided.
- the second arms on telescopic parts, so that they are adjustable in length by retracting and extending these parts in a simple manner.
- the second arms may be formed as gas springs.
- the second arms may be formed as telescopic spring elements.
- the second arms may also have a knee joint.
- a mechanical or electrical triggering element can be provided, by the actuation of which the length of the second arms can be reduced.
- the invention further relates to a massage unit, consisting of a massage slide of the type described above and a frame along which the massage slide is movable.
- an actuating element arranged on the frame can be provided with which the triggering element can be actuated on reaching the frame of a predetermined position of the massage carriage.
- the actuating element is arranged in the region of one end of the travel path of the massage carriage along the frame and designed to exert a pressure on the first arms in the direction of the second arms.
- the actuator may have two rollers, runners or the like in the direction of travel of the first arms of the massage slide, with which the first arms are pressed upon reaching the rollers, runners or the like in the direction of the second arms, wherein by a pressure component in the longitudinal direction of the second arms Length is reducible.
- the massage unit may have a shutdown device, upon actuation of the massage slide is moved to the end of the travel, at the end of the travel, the first arms along a defined distance against the Actuator be pressed, whereby the massaging elements caused by the shortening of the second arms can be retracted to the frame.
- the drive of the massage elements when reaching a predetermined position of the massage slide can be switched off before pressing the first arms against the actuating element. Thereafter, the massage carriage is moved to the above-defined distance, wherein the actuating element, for. As the rollers, runners or the like, press the first arms down. By thus shortening the second arms, the massage elements are retracted towards the frame and no longer disturb the back.
- a massage slide for use in a massage chair or the like which is reciprocated along a frame in the massage chair or the like, a drive 1 with a first axis movable by the drive and a second axis movable by the drive (which are not shown in detail in the drawing) on.
- a drive 1 with a first axis movable by the drive and a second axis movable by the drive (which are not shown in detail in the drawing) on.
- eccentric areas 2 At the two ends of the first axis are eccentric areas 2, which are angled relative to the axis.
- two first arms 3 are freely supported in the direction of rotation.
- the arms 3 carry at their free ends massage elements 4.
- only a first arm 3 is shown with the massage element 4 disposed thereon on one side of the drive 1 respectively.
- the second axis which is moved by drive 1, likewise has eccentric regions 5 at its two ends, from which two second arms 6 are exposed with a ball and socket joint.
- the second arms 6 engage at their free ends via a hinge connection 7 on the first arms 3 in their central regions.
- a motor with integrated clutch for driving both axes or two motors for driving each axis and a reduction gear for transmitting power from the motor shaft to the axes include.
- the two first arms 3 Upon rotation of the first axis by the associated motor, the two first arms 3 are due to the axis angled eccentric portions 2 in a pivoting movement in a substantially vertical plane offset about a horizontal axis, which leads through the intersection of the first axis and the axis of the respective relative to the axis angled, eccentric portion 2. This movement of the first arms 3 causes the so-called “kneading" movement of the massage elements 4.
- the motor-driven second axis can also be rotated by a motor to operate the second arms 6.
- the "kneading" and “knocking" movements can be activated individually, whereby both functions can be carried out simultaneously.
- the first arms 6 are in their length, that is to say they are in the same position. H. the distance between the hinge connection 7 with the first arms 3 and the articulation with the eccentric portions 5 of the second axis, adjustable.
- the second arms 6 are formed as gas springs.
- the massage slide on the back of sitting in the massage chair or the like person up and down.
- the extended gas spring shown in FIG. 1 the "knocking" movement of the rotating eccentric regions 8 of the second axis is transmitted to the first arms 3 and thus to the massage elements 4.
- a relatively strong gas spring eg, 400 N is preferred.
- the massage slide is along a e.g. built in the backrest of a massage chair (not shown in the drawing) frame in a substantially vertical direction up and down.
- an actuating element in the direction of travel of the first arm 3 is arranged. If the massage carriage moves upward beyond the position shown in FIG. 1, the actuating element 8 exerts a pressure on the first arms in the direction of the second arms 6. As a result, the first arms 3 are pivoted downwards and the second arms 6 designed as gas springs are compressed until the position of the massage slide shown in FIG. 2 is reached. In this position, the first arms 3 with the massage elements 4 are retracted by a defined distance, which may be several centimeters, towards the drive 1, so that the massage carriage occupies a compact form in the horizontal direction. In this parking mode, he no longer bothers in the back area and can in this compact form, e.g. be inserted from below into the backrest of a massage chair.
- the massage function i. switch off the drive of the first and second axle and drive the massage carriage up a defined distance, the roller 9 of the actuating element 8 guiding the first arms 3 and massage elements 4 into the parking mode.
- the spring element 10 shown in Figure 3 is designed as a helical spring 11, which at one end to a laterally on Enclosed housing of the drive 1 molded approach and acts at its other end against the underside of the first arm 3.
- the spring element 10 consists of a leaf spring 13, which is also attached at its one end to a molded laterally on the housing of the drive 1 approach and rests with its other end under bias of the underside of the first arm 3.
- Figures 5 and 6 show an embodiment in which the second arm 6 has a spring-assisted knee joint 14.
