Definitions

  • the invention relates to a power connection for a power and control unit of a battery-powered truck according to claim 1.
  • a power and control unit of a truck To supply a power and control unit of a truck is usually provided between a battery and the unit a cable connection.
  • the cable must be connected to the one hand with the contacts of the battery and the other with the power and control unit.
  • the invention relates to the latter power connection.
  • the power and control unit has a converter or inverter for converting the DC voltage into an alternating or three-phase voltage.
  • the electrical or electronic components of the power and control unit are usually arranged on at least one printed circuit board, which is arranged in isolation within a housing. It is already known to connect to the circuit board an electrically conductive member which cooperates with a second bolt-shaped conductive component by being pushed onto a journal portion of the first component. The outer end of the second component is connected approximately to the cable lug of the conductor of the power cable.
  • the second component which is shaped as a plug-in sleeve, works in a similar way to a snap closure and thus transmits the current only via a circular contact line. The power transmission capability is therefore limited.
  • the known power connection from the manufacturing effort is expensive.
  • a terminal for electrical equipment in which a slidable plate is connected to a printed circuit board as a connecting plate and a clamping screw is held captive on a housing upper part.
  • the connecting plate has a threaded passage, or it is provided a threaded insert for receiving the clamping screw.
  • the connecting plate can be soldered in the SMD method with the circuit board.
  • document FR 940 772 discloses a power connection for a power and control unit according to the preamble of claims 1 and 2.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a power connection for a power and control unit of a battery-powered truck, which is inexpensive to produce, can be arranged to save space and allows the transmission of high currents.
  • the first component has a connectable to the circuit board first portion, a male thread having a second portion and an annular portion containing an annular third portion.
  • the first component is e.g. soldered to the PCB in the SMD process.
  • the second component has an axial bore with an internal thread in one end region.
  • the internal thread can be screwed onto the external thread of the first component.
  • the second component has an annular second contact surface which engages the first contact surface when the two components are screwed together. As a result, a full surface contact between the two components is produced, so that a transmission of high currents is possible.
  • the other end of the second bolt-shaped component is designed so that a connection to a conductor of a cable is possible, for example via a cable lug, which is clamped by means of a clamping screw on the second component.
  • the first component has a cylindrical projection and the second component has a cylindrical bore, wherein cylindrical projection and bore together form a press fit.
  • the second component is therefore with a considerable force on the first postpone and press, whereby a flat contact between the surfaces in contact comes. Also in this way a large contact area for the transmission of high currents is created.
  • the power connection according to the invention has the further advantage that it can be produced very easily and has very small dimensions.
  • spatial dimensions play a major role in components and components of a truck.
  • the contact surfaces are conically shaped.
  • the first component made of softer material than the second component.
  • Fig. 1 is a power and control unit 10 of an industrial truck only indicated. It contains an insulating housing 12, in which at least one printed circuit board 14 is arranged in isolation. In the SMD method, a first component 16 is soldered to the printed circuit board 14. A second component 18 is screwed to the first component 16. This will be discussed below.
  • the bolt-shaped member 18 is led out.
  • the bolt-shaped or cylindrical component 18 has at the lower end a first axial threaded bore 28, which is widened towards the free end or down to a conical surface 30. In the upper end region, a further threaded bore 32 is formed. Furthermore, the component 18 at the upper end opposite flats 34, form the so-called key areas.
  • the component 16 according to Fig. 1 has a circular flange-like portion 36, at which a conical portion 38 connects upwards. An adjoining upward cylindrical portion 40 has an external thread 42. The component 16 finally has an axial through bore 42.
  • the component 16 is connected to the printed circuit board 14 via e.g. soldered an SMD process.
  • the component 18, e.g. is made of aluminum, is screwed onto the component 16 with the lower end, wherein the thread 42 of the component 16 cooperates with the internal thread of the threaded bore 28.
  • the conical contact surface 30 bears against the outer surface of the conical section 38 of the component 16, which consists of somewhat harder material, for example silver-plated brass. In this way, a continuous annular contact surface is created.
  • the component 18 is screwed with greater force to the component 16, so that a relatively high surface pressure between the contact surfaces is generated.
  • the clamping screw 26 With its shaft (not visible) is screwed.
  • the bottom of the head of the clamping screw 26 is pressed against the top of the cable lug and this against the upper end of the bolt-shaped member 18 to produce the desired electrical contact.
  • Fig. 5 an alternative embodiment to the component 18 is shown, which is designated there by 18a. It has a conical shoulder 44 between the ends on. Thus, the upper portion of the component 18a is provided with a smaller diameter than the lower one. The key surfaces 34a are located below the shoulder 44. Inside, the shape of the component 18a is the same as that of the component 18 according to FIGS FIGS. 2 and 3 ,
  • a first component 16b is provided with a flange 36b for soldering to a printed circuit board, such as the printed circuit board 14 FIG. 1 .
  • a cylindrical portion 50 Integrally formed in the flange 36b is a cylindrical portion 50 having a predetermined outer diameter.
  • a bolt-like second component 18b has a blind bore 52 at the lower end. The inner diameter of the bore 52 is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the cylindrical portion 50.
  • the bolt-shaped member 18b must therefore be pushed with a considerable force on the cylindrical portion 50 (press fit).
  • the cylindrical portion 50 is tapered as shown at 54. In this way, a large cylindrical contact surface is created for transmitting high currents from the component 18b to the component 36b and thus to the printed circuit board. If the free end of the bolt-shaped component 18b bears against the upper side of the flange 36b, this results in a further possibility of contact.
  • a continuous axial bore 32b is also provided in the component 18b.
