  • the Applicant has created an additional connection between the male hinge body and the fixed frame, thus achieving a high level of hinge operating safety and reliability on heavy doors and windows, and practically eliminating risks of hinge failure.

  • screwing the threaded element 15 produces an opposing force on the hinge 3 flap 6b which, since the first hinge body 4 is locked in place, creates a fixed supporting point and enables the slide 13 and the mobile frame 2 to be lifted relative to the tread surface P (see arrow F13, Figure 4 ).
  • the above mentioned second means 16 for separate adjustment in the second and third axes Y and X comprise (see Figures 2 and 6 ) a bush 16a, that is offset relative to the axis of rotation Z8 and can be interposed between the second socket 6a and the hinge pin 8: turning the bush 16a permits combined adjustments in the two axes Y and X by shifting the second hinge body 6 relative to the first hinge body 4.
  • the bush 16a can be adjusted from the outside thanks to a slot 16b made in the closed top surface of the bush 16a which can be engaged by a tool such as a screwdriver.
  • the bush 16a comprises securing means 17 for preventing the bush 16a from sliding in the second socket 6a.

  • the second hole 20 communicates with the first hole 18a to allow contact between the grub screw 19 and the ball 18 so that, when necessary, screwing the grub screw 19 (see arrow F19, Figure 6 ) causes the ball 18 to move in a radial direction (see arrow F18) towards the second socket 6a in such a way as to secure the bush 16a against the second socket 6a.

  • this extension defines an annular seat for housing and covering the anti-friction element 23 which remains on the same axis as the hinge 8 irrespective of the adjustment carried out with the bush 16a.
  • annular anti-friction spacing element or shim 23 that might, by way of non restricting example, consist of a ball bearing facilitating the movement of the second hinge body 6.
  • hinge 3 Yet another feature of the hinge 3 is an axial, threaded blind hole 22 made in the lower end of the pin 8 which, in use, is positioned inside the first socket 4a, enabling engagement with a suitable tool (not illustrated) in order to pull the pin 8 out of the hinge 3.
  • the pin 8 is held in place inside the sockets 4a and 6a by a grub screw 8g that passes radially through the first socket 4a and engages an annular groove 8a made in the pin 8 itself.
  • This type of hinge 3 also modifies and facilitates the door or window installation procedure.
  • adjustments can be started: in particular, adjustment in height by positioning the slides so they rest on the female hinge bodies and then securing them to the mobile frame.
  • the threaded element inside the slide can be acted upon in such a way as to raise only the mobile frame and the slide relative to the hinge, thus moving the mobile frame away from the tread surface.
  • a hinge made in the manner described above achieves the aforementioned aims thanks to the rigid connection between the socket of the male hinge body and the frame profile using screws in such a way as to reduce fatigue stress on the hinge as a whole.
  • the fixed position of the male hinge body makes installing and adjusting the door or window unit much more practical and less tiring and, at the same time, quicker and more accurate.

Claims (10)

  1. Charnière pour unités de portes et fenêtres, plus spécialement unités de portes et fenêtres lourdes comprenant un châssis fixe (1) et un châssis mobile (2) dont les profils définissent des rainures longitudinales correspondantes (C1, C2) servant à fixer des accessoires de manoeuvre ; la charnière (3) comprenant au moins :
    - un premier corps de charnière mâle ou inférieur (4) ayant un premier manchon cylindrique (4a) et un premier rabat (4b) pouvant être associé, par des premiers moyens de fixation correspondants (5), à la rainure (C1) du châssis fixe (1) ;
    - un second corps de charnière femelle ou supérieur (6) ayant un second manchon cylindrique (6a) et un second rabat (6b) pouvant être associé, par des seconds moyens de fixation correspondants (7), à la rainure (C2) du châssis mobile (2) ;
    - un axe d'articulation (8) pouvant être logé dans les deux manchons (4a, 6a) et définissant l'axe de rotation (Z8) du châssis mobile (2) ;
    - des troisièmes moyens (9), positionnés sur le premier manchon cylindrique (4a) du premier corps de charnière (4) servant à fixer le premier corps de charnière (4) et agissant entre le premier manchon (4a) et la surface du châssis fixe (1) lui faisant face,
    caractérisée en ce que la charnière comprend :
    - des premiers moyens (10) servant à régler la charnière (3) dans un premier axe vertical (Z) pour modifier une distance relative (D) entre le châssis mobile (2) et une bande de roulement (P) ; et
    - des seconds moyens (16) de réglage distinct dans un second axe (Y) perpendiculaire à un plan vertical du châssis fixe (1) et dans un troisième axe (X) parallèle au dit plan vertical ;
    les seconds moyens de réglage (16) comprenant une bague (16a) étant décalée par rapport à l'axe de rotation (Z8) et pouvant être interposée entre le second manchon (6a) et l'axe d'articulation (8) de sorte qu'en le tournant cela permette ces réglages combinés, la bague (16a) comprenant des moyens de blocage (17) empêchant la bague (16a) de coulisser dans le second manchon (6a) ; lesdits moyens de blocage (17) comprenant une bille (18) logée dans un premier orifice radial (18a) réalisé dans la bague (16a) situé à proximité de l'extrémité supérieure de la bague (16a) ; ainsi qu'une vis sans tête (19) logée dans un second orifice fileté respectif (20) perpendiculaire au premier orifice (18a), accessible de l'extérieur et communiquant avec le premier orifice (18a) pour permettre le contact entre la vis sans tête (19) et la bille (18) de manière à ce que, lorsque cela est nécessaire, le vissage de la vis sans tête (19) provoque le déplacement de la bille (18) dans une direction radiale en direction du second manchon (6a) de manière à bloquer la bague (16a) contre le second manchon (6a).
  2. Charnière selon la revendication 1, incluant un premier moyen (10) permettant de régler dans un premier axe vertical (Z) conçu pour modifier une distance relative (D) entre le châssis mobile (2) et une bande de roulement (P), caractérisée en ce que les premiers moyens de réglage (10) sont positionnés sur la rainure (C2) du châssis mobile (2) à proximité du second corps de charnière (6) et agissant entre le châssis mobile (2) et la charnière (3) de manière à modifier la distance relative (D) entre le châssis mobile (2) et la bande de roulement (P).
  3. Charnière selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que les troisièmes moyens de fixation comprennent des moyens filetés (9) pouvant être insérés dans des orifices de passage radiaux respectifs (12) réalisés dans la première paumelle (4a) de manière à ce que les moyens filetés (9) puissent être vissés à la surface du châssis fixe (1).
  4. Charnière selon la revendication 3, caractérisée en ce que l'orifice radial (12) possède une partie fraisée (12v) à l'intérieur du premier manchon (4a) permettant aux moyens filetés (9) d'être positionnés sans interférer avec le goujon (8) logé dans le premier manchon (4a).
  5. Charnière selon la revendication 2, caractérisée en ce que les premiers moyens de réglage (10) comprennent une glissière (13) pouvant être fixée fermement au châssis mobile (2) par des moyens respectifs (14) agissant entre la glissière (13) et la rainure correspondante (C2) et conçue pour être positionnée en contact avec le second rabat (6b) du second corps de charnière (6) ; la glissière (13) disposant d'un orifice de passage fileté longitudinal (13a) en prise avec un élément fileté (15) qui peut être vissé dans le second rabat (6b) et venir en butée contre ce dernier pour permettre le réglage de la distance relative (D) entre le châssis mobile (2) et la bande de roulement (P).
  6. Charnière selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que le premier manchon (4a) du premier corps de charnière (4) possède un élément de couverture externe (21) encastré en le faisant coulisser axialement sur la surface du premier manchon (4a) lui-même.
  7. Charnière selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que le goujon (8) possède une extrémité inférieure positionnée à l'intérieur du premier manchon (4a) et ayant un trou borgne axial fileté (22) en son sein, permettant de se mettre en prise avec un outil adapté afin de tirer le goujon (8) hors de la charnière (3), si nécessaire.
  8. Charnière selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce qu'entre les deux corps de charnière (4, 6) se trouve interposé, en fonctionnement, un élément annulaire antifriction (23).
  9. Charnière selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que l'élément annulaire antifriction est un roulement à bille (23).
  10. Charnière selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que l'extrémité inférieure de la bague (16a) possède une extension annulaire (16c) qui dépasse du second manchon (6a) et dont le diamètre extérieur est supérieur à celui du second manchon (6a) lui-même pour définir un élément servant à recouvrir et à bloquer, au moins partiellement, un élément annulaire antifriction (23) positionné entre les deux corps (4, 6) constituant la charnière (3).
